Great bed. Ac was good too. The counters were all wet.

Dirty place, yellow stains on the bed and sheets, hair everywhere including the bed, sink, and shower. The owner was nice enough to let us switch rooms, but no one was able to sleep after that. Spent $150 for one night. Should’ve shopped around a bit more. There’s better hotels for that price imo.

I got 2 rooms and neither of them had and hot water what so ever. The a/c in 1 room didn't work at all. The refrigerator in the other room didn't work at all. I'm a bigger guy and I literally could not fit threw the opening "maybe 12" given to enter the shower at all. Honestly this place is bottom of the mill trash motel.

Feeling , the room looked dark needs more lighting, under the bathroom sink there was lots of mold it was black :/ the shower was good , no breakfast , please bring your own towels and blanket to sleep ..Is close to the beach..I like the cats :) They do not let you check out later than 11:00 ;/ when you get to the motel it does not look very nice from the outside, and I felt little unsafe if you have children with you , but at night they have lot of light inside , it was not the worse motel I guess .. the tv worked fine. The fridge worked , the AC does not stop all night :/ and after staying there my nose hurts is like an infection I guess .. probably the mold and the AC not sure , 1 night is ok..:) the price was ok ..always thankful:)

It was clean, the AC worked fine and parking was ok. Some minor things that we observed were no toilet paper holder, bathtub shower faucet dripping constantly, no closet or hook to hang clothes on and no regular pillows on the bed, but the decorative ones were comfortable and no Kleenex. Also, had to get someone from the office to set up the TV and if you turned it off, you had to have someone come set it up again.

The owners are very friendly and helpful. Beautiful views, half the price. It's nothing fancy, but it's safe and cozy

the room was nice, the bed was soft, and the walking distance from the beach was great! View was great as well. Will definitely stay here again! One of the tenants allowed their dog to defecate on the porch and it smelled

Unexpected situation

It's exactly what you expect and a good price for the area. Room stay nice and cold with the air conditioner. The balcony on the Upper Floor was really nice to have. Not much to it very simplistic and the front desk staff was great

The only positive part of my experience was one staff member who was kind and helpful, but unfortunately, that alone doesn’t make up for the overall condition of the room and facilities. I would not recommend anyone to stay here.

Parking was super easy to figure out and we loved being able to look out our big window and seeing our car and the beach ac and heater worked great staff was super friendly all in all was a great experience here

You get exactly what you pay for. It wasn’t “clean clean”, but for $60 a night with a seawall view, we will be returning. The family staff was very friendly and we felt safe. Thank you so much!

If it wasn't for the ocean view I would have asked for a refund. The room was very dirty, toilet, bathroom and floors. Beds and towels were clean. Staff was nice. For 100$ I was very disappointed to have to clean it up! They need better housekeeping!

Room was very out dated... First room they offered had roaches. So they offered another room which we ended up staying because we weren't able to find another room such short notice with Mardi Gras going on. The second room was 2 beds. They only offered a set of towels when 2 people were and TV didn't work staying

Location was decent. It’s a complete dump. There was a heavy rainstorm at night and the ceiling leaked over the bed and the entire bed was soaked. It was a terrible nights sleep, squished to the very edge of the bed trying to find the only dry spot. I informed the owner in the morning, and he did nothing. Except say sorry and they will look into it. I felt my money should have been refunded

Not knowing the area, I didn’t know the hotel was between a tavern on one side and a liquor store on the other side and it was Mardi Gras. My door wouldn’t close, the staff did come to try to fix it but could not and so I was moved to another room. The TV was difficult to get going and had to call staff for that. The lighting was poor. Outlets were not near my bed so I had to get an extension cord to plug my CPAP in. It was a noisy area. The space between the toilet and shower was so cramped I could barely get on the toilet. The light switches were in very illogical places, sometimes high up and out of the way. Some towels were threadbare. No complimentary little bottles of shampoo or conditioner. It was bare bones. In general the motel needed major repairs and upgrades. They just get business because they are very near the water. The price was okay compared to others in the area but I would say it would be worth paying $50 more to stay at a better place. I called the staff on call 5 times and I will give him credit for responding and in a friendly manner trying to resolve issues.

Room smelled like mildew. It was in disrepair. Roof leaked. No TV remote.

I have stayed at this hotel before with no problems but last night was horrible because it wasn’t until late last night that I discovered that I was in the roach motel. It was so horrible, I called the office and nobody answered. So I sent a text message, again no response. I will not be back for awhile , hopefully they will fix the problem and exterminate.

Place is a little run down but nice location. Access to the beach across the road was the best part of the trip. Staff could barely speak English and had to call a translator to finish our stay. They were very nice people and the rooms were nice, just a little dirty.

This is the worst place I have ever stayed. It’s in such poor shape that I can understand how it hasn’t been shut down for poor conditions. Even the Uber driver was scared to drop me off here.

It has so much potential to be great! The hotel was very fun down, But it’s the value for the price. Staff was friendly and we had everything we needed for an overnight stay.

The staff was wonderful and friendly. The room was small but clean and comfortable. Beach access was not close, but there was a beach view from the room.

The price was right. However, the saying is true that you get what you pay for. Parking was no problem and you can see the beach from the window. After the noise stopped around midnight (sounded like furniture was being moved) but we never looked. We fell asleep. Actually got a good night sleep. A/C worked very well. The main thing is it’s not kept up. Things that get broken just stay that way, I guess. No towel or toilet paper bars, bathroom door knob was very loose and just needed tightened, cabinet under the sink had water damage so was screwed shut, soap holder in shower was broken. Sheets and floors were clean and we were very thankful for that!

There is no parking in first place, and the Hotel is maintained terrible, I don't wish to recommend this to anyone, Just see before you take don't believe pictures

This place is in a really great location across from an Italian restaurant and right next door to several bars. The staff was super friendly and the view was perfect. It's nothing fancy but if you just want to hang out at the beach it's perfect

The place did not look like the picture. It was nasty and stunk and was not in a good part of town. They did not confirm my reservation or have me sign anything. I chose a property that I would pay at the property and they took the money out that morning before I got there that afternoon. I’ve been trying to get my money back bc we did not even stay there. It was 175$ per room for 2 rooms and it was not worth 50$ a night. So we ended going to another hotel to stay.

We are extremely disappointed with Booking.com. Our original hotel booking was cancelled by the property at the last minute, forcing us to accept an alternate hotel recommended by their agent, with a written promise of a full refund for the price difference. Despite multiple follow-ups over more than a month, the promised refund has not been honored, only a partial refund was mentioned (which has still not been credited), and the original booking amount has also not been refunded. This experience has caused significant mental stress and financial inconvenience.

Horrible nothing to like Everything

The price was great. If you’re looking for fancy it is not for you. If you’re looking for clean awesome location that won’t break the bank check it out. We plan to stay there on our next trip back.

Close to Porretto Beach, Seawall, Dinning, and bars. All within Walking distance… Staff seemed friendly. View of Porretto beach from the window. Cons: This is a very old property. Rooms are second floor or third floor without an elevator. So if you have heavy suit cases or coolers you have to walk it up with force. Stairs are very narrow and you have to proceed with caution. It is evident that the property received damage from a previous Hurricane. Remodeling is noticed but they could have done a better job in my opinion. The room was really small especially the restroom. Only one person fits in the shower. TV is an old 32inch Samsung and is driven by a fire stick. TV stays on the wrong output so when you turn it on it does not work. You have to manually touch the tv output with your finger and change it to HDMI. Room Light was out and they fixed the second day. The overall construction of the room is poor. AC faces the restroom. No house cleaning what so ever. Sand paper towels and limited toilet paper. Did not try the breakfast. Parking is shared with other tenants and customers from other bars and properties, so it was hard to find a parking spot. A lady came banging on our door at 10:30am which is not check out time. That was annoying.

Not at all what I expected based on the more recent reviews. Our room and shower were in obvious disrepair and towels were stained. Served its purpose but was a little disappointed.

4th of July trip. Had to get the remote from front desk. Staff was fun and friendly. Room was cold...yay. Shower was hot and bed was VERY comfortable.. Thats all I care about. Applian es were not plugged in so put food in it but next day only my ice packed kept it edible. I share fault in that. Will stay again.

They need better curtains because all u is the out side lights could nt sleep

I really dont like the $100 "security deposit" that takes 5-7 business days to be returned. Other than that, location is great, room amelt like chlorine but i guess that's better than smelling dirty.

It Was good for the time we needed

This is our second time staying here and we love it!! We can walk across the street to the beach and to quite a few shops and restaurants.

Everything was fine except this apartment close to a small club, so it a little bit noisy. It’s worthy for a affordable price.

Terrible place would not recommend anyone staying here, the rooms are so dirty, the bed sheets are stained, and when asked to get them changed I got told no, we found a living cockroach in the shower overall a bad experience! I called my bank to dispute the charge I was only in the room for 10 mins and left. Nothing

Bed bugs, dirty sheets, the smell of mildew and terrible wifi. We were not expecting fancy, but what we found was just gross. It's obviously an older building, but absolutely no effort was put into keeping things fresh. The towels they gave us had yellow stains and the white sheets had yellow stains. I even found a couple of bed bugs. I don't usually write reviews but this made me compelled. The price is high so you would expect a little better, but no, I do not recommend anyone staying here, the building should be condemned and started anew. That being said, the location is nice and close to the beach.

Great room no issues at all and a killer view from the balcony!

Location as per the photo, close to the beach. Cheap accommodation for the area but you get what you are paying for. There are very bright fluro lights directly outside your window and only a thin curtain. It’s like trying to sleep during the day. The aircon cuts in every few hours with a weird noise that sounds like a lawnmower. There is only on- street parking. The bathroom was not clean. The place needs a good renovation. The bed sheets had cigarette burns in them.

I got there and got ready and left right away. So I didn’t check anything until I got back I would say around 7pm the toilet seat was BLACK from dirt I wiped it down & the toilet paper I used was soooo dirty from cleaning the toilet seat when it came time to shower the towels had dried up blood as well and what looked to be urine stains … . The walls are thin & I could hear the family next door YELLING at their kid to go to sleep cussing at them. I would never ever stay there again . Don’t stay there tbh it is not worth it

Had a good time. Great location by the sea wall, beautiful view from balcony, friendly people and service my only complaint is the water pressure in the shower wasn't good, everything else was great!

They need to exterminate for roaches and clean the bathrooms better. Foundation to the rooms needs to be leveled better, holes and breaks can cause someone to get hurt. Last, need more parking spaces as they’re next to 3 bars.

It was a basic room and what we paid for. Comfy bed hot shower BUT tv and refrigerator did not work

LOCATION WAS NICE. A BLOCK FROM THE BEACH. IT WAS DIRTY, STINKY AND ONLY 1 ELECTRICAL OUTLET WORKED.

The motel was easy to get to & located close to downtown. Staff friendly & helpful. Very reasonable rates without the unnecessary frills. Keep up the good work.

They gave me a room with someone in it already at first. The bathroom had no toilet paper and not enough towels or wash clothes. The tv didn’t work. It was hooked up but still couldn’t watch it, not sure why but nobody was available to get it fixed at night time. The room was very hot when we went inside even, took hours to cool it down. Not to mention the lock was messed up on the door. One of the other rooms had the window knocked out of it as well.

The noise of the A/C window unit,I couldn't sleep and on the middle of the night the humid odor it was so strong. Definitely they need to replace the window a/c unit. Also we saw two big ? ? .

My experience was horrible! This was my honey..place smelt of mold. Rain storm came in and rained on us in bed from ceiling leaking. Bathroom had broken window and couldn't cool , rain was pouring from fixture very scary. Reported to owner in office and she was very rude, as I was willing to even pay one night just give me a refund of 2nd. Told me no all motels was having issues. In excusable considering I paid $300 for 2 nights. Also roaches and only had sheets for us to cover up with. No trash cans or shower towels. Just thank goodness it stormed morning we checked out cause I wouldn't ever recommend this place. Discusting!! Would like a refund of the hassle. If they knew room was this way should of just told me before taking my money so I could of tried finding something else if possible. Rude office workers , in caring about what we was going through.

Booking.com, worst experience I've ever had! It is a 'dump'! I have seen better places in the ghetto! We came to Galveston because of hurricane Beryl. We are from Houston; we spent over a 1/4th of a tank on gas, then $109.00 + taxes, which we have not been refunded as of this date. I refused to go around this large drum, let alone, stay overnight! We were 8-days without electricity; spoiled food. We are retired, we buy from the meat market once a month. When I saw this dump all I could do was curse and cry! Oh, did I mention they were without electricity also?! A huge drum in middle of doorway, for dripping water. Windows open, some with curtains others none. They knew when we booked through your company, and took our $$$, that they had no electricity! I am sooooo angry! I have reported them to the health department! This is a very old building. The owners have done some renovations. It's not perfect but it's decent and has a little charm to it. The a/c was cold and the bed was decent. It's close to the beach and our room had a view of the beach. The people who ran it were nice. There's a restaurant pretty close that we walked to. Overall it was a nice one night getaway.

Bathroom was not clean on top of a dirty needle was in the shower hotel service center told me to just turn o. The hot water and then tried to argue with me about it and giving my money back

Even though this place was shady as heck and run down, it's well lit with plenty of people that look after you.
