Quality Inn & Suites Garland - East Dallas

At first I thought I was not going to be happy. But I was pleasantly surprised. It has been a very long time since I stayed in a place where my door was to the parking lot, but the bed was comfortable, it was quiet for the most part, except when people were talking in front of my door. It is practly all new. I would stay again.

It smelled old & wet. The room was not clean. They wouldn’t restock breakfast. Just save yourself the time & money and go elsewhere.

Staff was nice Toilet leaked from bottom spreading waste water everywhere. When sat on toilet it came away from the wall almost fell off several times. Only had three outlets and only one barely worked. Had a family emergency came up had to leave on my second day. I hope I will be able to get a refund for the other 2 days for the inconvenience I went through. Oh the phone didnt work either. Thank goodness for cellphones

The reason I chose this hotel was because of the advertisement. Clearly these pics were from another location. The rooms looked nothing like them. When I checked into the hotel, there were no keys available. The staff person had to open the door for me with a master key. I had to call the next day to see if they had keys available, and the front desk worker had no idea this had occurred. Upon entering the room, there was a terrible odor, the water pressure was too low to take a shower, the toilet was shaking, and the sink spat out water while washing your face and brushing your teeth. This room was not worth the price. This room could've easily passed for a motel room. Nothing about it was inviting. I called around 9 am to see if breakfast was being served and was told that it had just ended. The next day, there was no breakfast. We checked out Sunday around 6:45 am, still no breakfast. It was supposed to be included in the price, yet we still had pay for it at a restaurant. I do not advise anyone to stay at this location. I've stayed at other Quality locations and never had to deal with anything like this. Very disappointed.

It’s not a hotel but a motel. Room smells like smoke, landline phone didn’t work, no hair dryer, toilet stopped up and I was told to come to the front desk and get a plunger. My wife and didn’t stay and asked for refund and they wouldn’t. Beware of Quality Inn!!!

Really nice people & understanding & they allow dogs (not for free) but my German shepherd came with his cage & it’s pretty loud due to the cars from outside on the freeway so the rooms were really sound proof.. & they offer free breakfast

Location, location, location. We were there to attend a celebration of life service in Rockwall. There are numerous dining options close by, just the other side of the freeway. The Harbor Rockwall Mall, a gorgeous waterfront location with more dining options, shopping and greenbelt/park within 5 miles. The room was reasonably priced. Better coffee maker in room is my only complaint. Given the proximity to Hwy 30, there is a significant amount of traffic noise, which could be problematic if you are a light sleeper. Not a problem for me, but hubby did struggle with it.

The room was really clean and comfortable really quiet location and the take care of you the lady at desk shes always so professional and kind and funny i wish i could remember her name so i can putbit up here but am pretty sure she reminds me as the guy with the grey jeep hahaha but she is amazing she deserves a raise and as far as the lication i totally recomended

Yes, the room was clean and there were no odors. Lisa and Tony were so friendly and accomodating for our 5 nights stay. Lisa said the washing machine was broken and couldn't get it scheduled for repair due to the holidays. I enjoyed the holiday decorations in the lobby. Made it very nice and homey for the holidays. I did take walk and the lake was lovely. The staff should let guests know about it. I didn’t realize it was in the back yard, so to speak, until the 3rd day I was there! We didn’t have a view, but I did ask for a room on 2nd floor on check-in but was told there were no vacancies and it would be more expensive to change rooms since we had a good rate, and the rooms on 2nd floor had queen size but ours was king size on first floor, I think that is what Tony and Lisa said. The sink drained very slowly. I informed staff and after a few days it was better. The breakfast was hot and FREE which was nice but there was no variety, only eggs, sausage, bread, waffles, cold cereal, coffee/milk, apple juice, yogurt, every day we were there. Please offer hot sauce, tortillas, potatoes, non-dairy milk/creamer, bananas, orange juice, and oatmeal. The vending machine didn’t have much variety, especially since restauranrs close early, and are not close by, except for Whataburger. I wanted some hot tea one evening and Tony provided me some hot water, I had to ask for it. I brought my tea bag. Please have some hot water for guests, and tea bags, after the dining area is closed. When I first get I had to wait like an hour to get checked in the Customer service was awful, the room and the water were smelling really bad.

Got to my room had a little problem with the refrigerator not working they came right up with a new refrigerator and replaced it.

Coffee maker didn't work and the internet access?? The Wi-Fi would disconnect multiple times and each time I'd have to restart my computer just to reconnect to the internet again. Also, I'm already a Choice member, but on the sign up page for "free" unlimited internet, there is no login button. I tried signing up with an alternative email address and it kept giving me an error. Please give out passcodes to access the internet like normal hotels!! On the bright side, the bed and bed linens were awesome and the room was clean and well lit. Also, the shower had great water pressure too.The front desk staff was amazing and super nice and helpful.

3 things i did not like while i was here... the man that works the day shift is quite ride. Apperently i was in his way getting coffee after breakfast and he stood behind me the entire time grunting. Everything from breakfast time was pretty much put up and the coffee was the last thing and i guess he was in a rush or samething but nonetheless it was rude as hell how he was acting. Then I had a visitor at 10:45AM and he was trying to charge me already for another person!! He came to our door twice within an hour over it and both times he was just rude. The 3rd would be house keeping. Our last day while we were packing up and putting stuff in the car she just stood at the door waiting on us to leave like we were the only people there that she was waiting on. She kept looking at us as if we were doing something wrong while she was talking to the other house keeper. It was just flat out uncalled for and very unprofessional. I really should have messed the room up so she actually had something to clean!! The ladyvin the afternoons was amazing though!! The room was "lean

This property is kind of acceptable. It has a negative feel. Not a great value for the cost. It is ok, but be prepared for dissapointment.

Also there was really loud music coming from somewhere nearby. Not sure if at the hotel or over at the adjoining apartments...I just know there was a rhythmic bass thump all.night.long. We won't be staying here again. I should have been suspicious that the rate was $30 lower than anything else I saw. Guess you get what you pay for.

This property is doing renovations. The rooms we were in were recently and tastefully renovated. The building was recently painted. The parking lot and landscaping will rrequire some attention. We liked this place and would return again.

I arrived late check in go to the room it hasnt been cleaned from the previous night. Refused to give me another room. Would only make the bed. Crack heads in the parking lot.

When cleaning carts move down the walkways upstairs, it is very loud and sounds like thunder. Disconcerting to wake up to. Every time you sit on the toilet in this room, it moves with a clank, and feels like it’s going to fall through the floor.

First, the check in took an hour bc they had not received reservation from Expedia, the room was terrible and the tv didn’t even work and the guy on staff just smiled and let us know it would be fixed AFTER we were gone. Absolutely the WORST experience!!!

Terrible service and NOT clean and had cockroaches in my room. No towels in the bathroom, front desk doesn’t answer customer service calls. Breakfast was toast and waffles. I can’t believe this place is open! I definitely DO NOT recommend this place!!!

For the price being charged, the stay did not offer good value. The environment is not suitable for families or children, as it does not feel clean, safe, or welcoming. I would recommend management address these issues to improve both the quality and guest experience.

The room was clean and breakfast was nice! Everything about the place was good, the only issue I had was the directions on all maps apps takes you to the apartments next door instead of the hotel and there is no way to get into the hotel from where the maps take you. But no hate towards the hotel just the location on the map!

The room appeared clean. The bed was kind of hard. The AC would freeze you out when it was on, and you would sweat to death when it cut off. It was difficult to regulate no matter how you put the settings. The hotel is right beside apartments so when the partiers arrive home at 2-3am with their radio thumping, you will hear it. And just as that noise dies down, the roar from the interstate starts up, and around 6am you get to sprinkle in some car honking. Not even my Lunesta could combat all the noise.

My husband and I are staying in town before we close on our home so we were there for an entire week while working. The staff was so kind and friendly and always had a warm smile on their faces. The rooms are pretty basic but perfect for a no frills, clean and quiet stay. We will definitely be returning.

Rooms are dated and the access to the motel can be precarious due to the fact that it's off a main highway traveling from Rockwall to the Dallas area. 80+ mph traffic behind you ensures a quick exit into the motel's parking lot

Im so serious when i say the bed they provided was the best hotel bed ive ever slept on. I had no neck or back pain, the wifi was the fastest ive seen at any hotel for the price, the style and cleanliness of the room was awesome, the staff was super nice if i had his name id shout him out but super nice guy. 10/10

This was a good place for price. Bed was comfy and clean. Room was very tidy but had a smoke odor. Older decor but in decent shape. Only major issue was the shower didn’t drain properly (very slow) and the toilet was rocky. The area is a little isolated and parking seems sketchy l, but we had no issues. Pool looked well maintained. And staff was super friendly.

We had to use our own wifi to watch tv because the hotel wifi didnt work. 100 deposit for a nasty smelling room.

The Front Desk Staff was amazingly welcoming and courteous and went above and beyond our entire stay! The rooms were clean and well kept. I highly recommend this Hotel! The overall experience was better than some 5 Star Properties I have stayed at!

Everything was decent, aside from the guy at the front desk. I was trying to ask where the ice machine was and the guy was pretty rude and seemed very irritated that I was asking. It definitely seemed as though I was an inconvenience to him and whatever he was doing. He was very dismissive and started to get irritated with his coworker that was behind the front desk with him. Not the greatest customer service.

This hotel was perfect and the people extremely friendly ! VERY CLEAN and they had a breakfast ! I highly reccomeded this hotel !!!!

I requested a non smoking room and received a smoking room. The bathroom sink had issues draining water. The bathtub had issues draining water as i took a shower. The california king bedsheets had a poop stain and i removed the sheets. The tv in the room didn't receive all the channels.

The room was dirty and the breakfast was of very poor quality, almost everything was empty, from the napkins to the cream for making waffles.

Great option for an overnight stay on long roadtrip. Incredibly friendly staff, good marks for cleanliness, very comfortable beds, nice breakfast. I had to play white noise on my phone to be able to sleep through interstate noise, but easily enough accomplished. I would absolutely stay again. Great option for the price.

There was a broken cistern in the yard that made it very cold. One of the rooms had no carpet, and it added to the cold night.

Was originally put in a smoking room but the staff was quick to switch us. The shower backed up, bathroom door hit the toilet, a lock was missing from the door. It has a weird entrance that was difficult to find as well. All in all, you get what you pay for. Staff was very friendly and helpful however.

Room was tidy few maintenance and interior damages like toilet not bolted down and didn’t flush good probably blocked by the wax ring moving, towel bar broken and sink counter top coming lose from the wall and only being held up by a stick and the. The thermostat batteries are low so could not change settings on a/c. But my major concern was roaches. At first I didn’t see any until I brought my food out and for the remainder of the night I was stomping them out….. doesn’t make it any better that it’s only one tiny trash can for the whole room and it’s in the bathroom. Customer service was ok and nice for the most part just the roaches were my main concerns

I booked this on Expedia as a non smoking room. But Expedia does not guarantee a non smoking room and to my surprise I got a smoking room. I have asthma- not good.

ROACH MOTEL! I checked in and the staff was friendly. Got to the room and there are roaches on the floor and the desk. Checked right back out. Slept in the car that night. Can’t have a refund though. Apparently they thought sleeping in a room with roaches and who knows what else was ok. Would not recommend

I got in after 10 PM after driving 14 hours I needed to be up at 6:30 the next morning. I wanted to go in there and go to sleep.. I was pulling a car and there was nowhere to park in their parking lot. The parking lot was tiny. I kind of pulled to the side and went in and the guy told me that there was $100 posit, which was not stated anywhere in the property description. I turned around and left and went down the street to another hotel. If you’re carrying a trailer, don’t even bother with this property

I loved my interaction with Tony. He was very helpful and welcoming. I did not like the fact that there were roaches in my room also goalies keeping just kinda barged in my room when I wasn’t there and I was still checked in so that was a bit disappointing. I would not book here again

I liked my stay at the hotel

My room was dirty stains on the floor stains on the comforters. Didn't even feel comfortable walking around the room without shoes on. The room was hot and just all around smelt bad I had went to the store and bought a candle to light because the smell was giving me a headache..

Very complicated access to the property (just one way access)

The worst aspect was not being able to access the hotel once we got there. The only access was to come from the north, to access by southbound I-30. We came from the south, using GPS, and once we arrived, we found ourselves in the parking lot of some condos, but there were fences preventing us from accessing the hotel. So I parked at a condo, and walked to the hotel to check-in. Then I was told I had to go north east on I-30, do a turn at Dalrock, and come back on the southbound side. It was inconvenient, and the roads are confusing there. the hotel should cut a driveway through a curbed grass area from the parking lot of the condos, so the hotel can be accessed from the south. The room was fine for the price, the bed comfortable enough. It served our purpose, but access needs to be improved.

Our room smelled really heavy of cigarettes. It was quite uncomfortable. I didn't want to be a pest and tolerated it; mainly because the front desk worker was so kind at check in. Our appliances were also all unplugged so we can to plug everything in ourselves (after figuring it out). The bathroom light flickered on and off and then just wouldn't turn on anymore.

This hotel is ok. The main problem is it is hard to find the way to reach it because of the construction around the area.

The hotel shows a veiw of the lake and there are condos surrounding it you can not get to it the access is through the condos its now under the new hyway bridge so we herd traffic all night and the room was small. The people upstairs banged on the ceiling all night. The pool had bugs. The ice machine was set next to the pool not the hotel they are separated and breakfast was toast or yoguert and coffee tasted metallic.

This hotel was more of a motel. It was very old, compared to the photos. It was very noisy, near the freeway. You would think that the walls would be insulated and windows would be double or triple pane. That did not appear to be the case. There was no k-cup machine in the room, and no coffee in the continental breakfast bar, until it was time to leave. Staff was nice, but that was not enough. It also appeared as though some of the rooms had long-term tenants, who seemed to have lived a rough life. I definitely could not recommend this motel to anyone I care about.

The pictures online did not match the actual room. They were filthy. The room was dingy and the toilet seat was stained. Wall outlets were dirty and cracked. The carpet had multiple stains and that’s because the carpet was dark.

The room was clean. However, the tub did not drain well, the wifi did not work and one of the lights on the wall in the room would not turn off with no plug to pull. It stayed on all night so I covered my face to sleep. Also, it is a very inconvenient location. I could not park close outside my room and Iwas afraid to walk to my vehicle alone in the dark with limited lighting to retrieve my dinner so I just let it spoil in the truck.

Waffles every morning, cereal and yogurt too. Big TVs in the single king room along with a couch mini fridge and microwave. Right off the highway which makes it very convenient. Only 7 min away from freedomplace.tv which is a great in outstanding Church. Staff is always here and very helpful and friendly.
