When we arrived Julio was even better. Always there to take care of any of are needs.. Super friendly super helpful in every way. Always complimenting everyone that needs help or walks by. Unbelievable customer service!!! Julio made the trip!

Housekeeping was terrible. We were only cleaned once in 4 nights. We requested cleaning but did not happen. We complained to the front desk and they tried to help but no one ever showered until our last day

The rooms are dated and need a refresh. The bathroom has very little light and the shower/tub is extremly old. The vanity is outside the toilet and tub area but ontop of carpet. The only non carpet area in the room is the tub/toilet area. The carpet is very worn and dirty. It had stains all over it thru out the room. The closet is small and the iron cady is coming off the wall. We stayed her a total of 6 nights/7 days and only had housekeeping come 1 time despite our repeated request to the front desk. We had to obtain our own toilet paper and towels from the front desk. The front desk said the same repeat story ea day that the housekeeping request was noted and they would come that day or the next. This was never the case as they only came on day 4 of our 7 day stay. When they did come they did not restock the room or take the dishes from room service. The tv stand is full of thick dust and the corners of the room is also full of dust and dirt. The carpet base is coming off in several spots in the room and the furniture is in need of repairs/replacement. We can not recommend this Hyatt nor would we stay here again.

Outdated rooms, with an AC unit that kept us awake all night long! Way overpriced $165 a night! No thanks, first and last time I will stay at this place.

I’ve stayed here several times. Great property, safe, friendly staff, clean, cool, comfortable. The breakfast is very nice, and far more options than many hotels. I will stay there again and again when I go visit Arizona. Highly recommend!

The first room we went into had a terrible smell. The second room was decent, but the carpet was dirty with stains. It’s a very old hotel that needs remodeling desperately. The food at the breakfast was mediocre at best, but the staff was very friendly.

The bar was a happening on lace in the evenings and breakfast was consistently good! The room was clean and well kept and the property was surprisingly quiet come bed time. Great place to stay!

The breakfast was not great and a server raised his voice at me because I put a dish in the wrong bin. There were no visual controls at all that directed customers to place certain dirty dishes in appropriate bins. We swam later in the evening and the towel bin was empty so we just used the gym towels.

My reservation was for a room with a king size bed but that isn't what i received at check in, I was not refunded nor compensated in any way. I was double charged due to one small mistake at booking. Upon arriving to the hotel to check in i was initially told they didnt see my reservation. I waited in the lobby for 30min and then the concierge said he could check me in. I was told he saw my reservation but unfortunately they were sold out of all king size rooms. So in short, i was double charged for a king size bed for the night but had to settle for a queen. On top of that, the guest next to my room had their tv blasting all night long. It really made it hard for my fiance and I to get a good nights rest.

The front desk attendant wasn't very friendly on check-in. (I think her name was Olivia.) The room did not have shampoo or body wash in the containers. The A/C worked nicely during the day. However, at night, it would switch off, and the room would heat up. I think it was on a sensor; so someone had to get out of bed for it to switch back on. I was charged a pet cleaning fee, but also charged the state and city occupancy charge on that fee. It also took me a few times to get my final bill sent to me.

Everything we needed was right there breakfast was delicious, the pool was relaxing, and the drinks from the bar were spot on. It really felt like the perfect little reset. Overall, it was just what we needed, and we’d absolutely stay again.

I took pictures of our room. Requested via phone call a First floor, handicap accessible room with walk in shower. At check in I was told that she could see the notation but unfortunately the message wasn’t passed on and that room was taken. Handicapped room on 3rd floor with walk in shower. No!! No walk in shower. The shower curtain was yellowed and brown it was so filthy. There were 2 trash cans but not one in toilet area! Soiled dust ruffle on both beds. Couch was heavily stained and soiled. Soil on foot stool. We had 2 packs of coffee on our first morning for 3 people. Thought breakfast bar would be open for coffee at least by 5:30. No. We had to ask for coffee packs and cups every day. We never had housekeeping at our room the entire time. Requested trash removal. Never happened. We used to sty at Hyatt place on a regular basis. Will not stay there again nor will I recommend it to anyone! Extremely disappointed.

Patrick in the restaurant is amazing , friendly and active to go above and beyond to help, the Hispanic older lady too, she doesn't speak good English but she was great, The front desk closing shift lady is very sweet and friendly, she made sure everything was perfect , I stayed on 6th floor , the cleaning lady always smiling, The breakfast was good, omelet and boiled eggs, sausage and bacon, Philadelphia cheese, blueberry and strawberry berry jam, waffle, coffee , orange and apple juice, 3 types of cereal and fruits , The gym is very clean, The experience was good although the hotel was fully booked due to many events going on, Highly recommended.

I only stayed for a night for doctors appointments for my daughter. The place was very nice and well kept and definitely worth the money. The breakfast they served while I was there was not very good at all, though. Still will stay again in the future, when we need to come back for appointments.

I was disappointed with the eminities in our room. No microwave. Stains on the floor. Dificult trying to go to the bathroom when door wont shut.For the money we paid it should have been better.Pulling up the Hotel there was a terrible sulfur smell. Room was very noisy. We could hear ppl in the hallway all hours of the morning.

The tub and sink in our room both drained slowly. On arrival, our shower gel was empty and it took 2 requests to get more. When we did get it, it was not placed in the shower receptacle; it was left out on the sink counter.

Rooms were very clean. Staff was friendly and helpful. Pool was clean and in good condition. Only downside was the waffle batter dispenser kept breaking but staff assisted acknowledging the need for a new one.

The Hyatt Place Gilbert is a modern facility with a very courteous staff. The room was clean and comfortable. We enjoyed a great breakfast before we started our day.

Room was great, staff did a great job. I travel a lot and one of the things I run into a lot is the room key not always working. No issues thru out the stay. The room, the outside doors or the pool, the key worked all week.

@ 1st I was disappointed cause they gave me a key .. and the room was occupied.. then he gave me a handicapped room for the first night even though I told him I didn’t want one of those !!.. and the next 3 night were on cause switched rooms .. but 1st night was not good..

The rooms are very dated.. bathroom is tiny and you have to perform ballet moves to get in and out without hitting yourself by either the door or the toilet. The queen beds advertised are not queen, they are full size… we also had the dead bolt close on us by itself and had to wait till 1am will little kids for someone to come and get us back into our room.. took them about 2.5 hours just to come out. The maintenance manager pretty much told me it was an old dead bolt that needed to be replaced a long time ago and that is why it happened. Breakfast was also horrible and we ended up going out. The pictures they use for ads are those from the lobby which was the only modern/updated area in the hotel. I will be contacting my CC trying to get a refund

This stay had a horrible start. This is where I stay when I go to the area because I know the reputation and experiences that I have had with this hotel. So I know that this is probably an isolated case however it needs to be heard. After we registered at the counter and we’re given our keys to our room, we went upstairs and open the door to our room to find another family and all of their clothes all over the place beds messed up clearly occupied. And to have people walk into your room who were giving a key to your room is humiliating, scary, and takes your breath away. These are the type of situations where someone can get hurt. We were mortified and went down to the counter to let the lady know that we were given keys to an occupied room. Her response was, oh housekeeping, told me that they had cleaned all the rooms. I told her it wasn’t a matter of housekeeping, cleaning all the rooms, this room was still occupied with the family. She nonchalantly changed out the keys and didn’t seem to be as modified as we were. But in her defense, she didn’t experience what we had just experienced. I tried to call the general manager at the hotel a few days ago, and still hadn’t gotten a response back yet. This was an extremely dangerous l and puts the residence at this hotel in jeopardy not to mention their belongings, wallets, clothing, everything of value could be stolen. And at the highest regard is human safety.

Toilet in room was way too low for comfort. Shower door too short causing water on floor. Trash can at the outside door was overflowing with trash and cigarettes butts. Only one waste basket in room. Vanity at bath sink was way too short. Alarm clock was set at 4:00am which was too early for anyone to get up. No end tables in room. Expected more for the premium price

2. We weren't told even basic things like the hours of breakfast, checkout times etc.. 3. Someone smoked in the bathroom and we had to leave the fan on 24/7 to keep it from seeping into the room. This triggered my asthma and made me constantly coughing for our two days we were there. Because of our tight schedule during the day we didn't have time to ask for a different room. 4. The location is extremely noisy from the highway. Usually I leave the AC fan running constantly to drown out noise but this wasn't possible with their thermostat setting for only the fan to run. 5. The pillows were extremely hard. 6. Hot items at breakfast were cold and didn't even have steamers and didn't seem safe to eat. 7. Elevator smelled like weed.

The breakfast was terrible both mornings we were there. First morning at 8:00 am Mouldy bread, cold scrambled eggs, out of orange juice, French toast was hard as a rock, 2 nd morning they were out of everything but cold food when we came at 9:00

The room smelled musty or moldy. There were stains on the couch and carpet. Water leaked from the sink on to the carpet when in use. Air conditioning was very loud but over all it worked for the time we needed the room.

Check in process wasn’t friendly less than a great experience. I said hello how are you and Olivia just stared at me. Like I was a bother and a huge inconvenience. Then I said thank you after checking in and got nothing. Where I come from professionalism, hospitality, conversation and manners is must when working in customer service. We then came down to the bar area, no staff was there. We sat for a good 10 minutes before being acknowledged by Olivia when she stated that we couldn’t pay using a card. Didn’t give other options. Our floors in the room were absolutely disgusting.

We had dirty towels in our room, no soap, we had to ask for soap. The elevator broke, we were on the 6th floor. Condoms in the landscaping outside the pool. The breakfast buffet didnt have food and it was filthy. Seating was gross and not cleaned, there was food strewn all over the buffet area. Worst hyatt we've ever stayed at. I didnt take photos. Just do better.

The front desk staff were friendly and that was the only positive aspect of our five night stay. The room was decent, but very dated- as was the entire hotel. It was old and didn’t look or feel clean. Stains all over the hallway and elevator floors- disgusting. We had difficulty getting our room cleaned; at one point the cleaning people told the front desk that they had spoken to us and we had requested not to have our room cleaned. They never talked to us and we can only guess that they didn’t feel like cleaning so they lied about having a conversation with us. The “free” breakfast was inedible- just gross. We had to go out to even get a decent cup of coffee. We were very disappointed that this was a Hyatt- not what we’ve experienced at other Hyatts. We live in the area but needed a place to stay while we were having some house renovations done. We wish we had chosen another local hotel; we were certainly fooled about this place.

This time around I felt I got the oldest room possible. The tub didn’t drain properly until after the shower was done. The carpet was very sticky. And the room seemed to be very small. It didn’t seem like it was cleaned properly as there was hair still on the shower wall. Also, the refrigerator had a thick lining of ice buildup.

Wonderful Customer service, but the room wasn’t very clean, maintenance issues with the sink and shower, heard others in lobby experiencing same thing. Lobby was very clean.

Unfortunately, the continental breakfast was terrible. On Tuesday, the hot breakfast consisted of a pot of waffles, bacon bites, and cold Canadian bacon. On Wednesday, the biscuits and waffles were hard. I've stayed at several other Hyatts, and this was by far the worst breakfast experience. To make matters worse, on Thursday, breakfast wasn’t even put out on time due to staff callouts.

Olivia checked us in. She had been on the job for two days. She was totally competent and welcoming. After a long drive we were looking forward to relaxing in the bar with a drink and a light snack. I chose this property for the location and the fact that it had a bar and a restaurant. At five in the afternoon, Olivia was not only left totally alone to check in guests at the front desk but also to serve the bar patrons and prepare and serve the limited bar/restaurant menu. While we were at the bar people came and gave up waiting for service as she was not able to be in both places at once. Obviously the management is neglectful and clueless. So unfair to a good employee that was trying extremely hard to do an impossible task. The property is very nice, the rooms are comfortable, clean and well appointed. There is a possibility we will need to stay for two nights. The Hilton is down the street and I will be making a reservation and hoping for a property that is well managed and recognizes the need for good customer service over bare bones economy just because it is the "slow season".

Cold shower, couldn’t even take one, breakfast was cold also

We booked a double queen but when we showed up at 10pm and they didn't have a room for us and we had to go in a king room which was a problem since there was 5 of us. They said they over sold! What hotel does that??!!! We were visiting family so we had to borrow an air mattress for our fifth person. Other than that, the property satisfied with the check in and giving up a room that we booked and paid for.

They had water issues for 2 days. Some days no water, some days only cold water. They were kinda enough to leave papers under the door each day letting you know they were trying to resolve the issue.

Enjoyed our stay at Hyatt. However, the food being served at breakfast did not seem appealing nor was it very clean. My family and I decided to dine out for breakfast. Other than that, the room was clean and comfortable.

And not in the bathroom. The breakfast was cold and horrible. Tasted awful and didn’t get it the rest of the time we were there. We will not pick this hotel again.

My wife and I were pleased we were able to check in early. We drove in from California for our granddaughters graduation. Awesome.

Employees were kind, helpful, & responsive. Room had several issues that the employees helped with. Such as tub not draining, ironing board broken, iron burned and needed replacing, out of shower gel. Thankful for helpful staffers!!

Easily one of the best hotels I’ve stayed in. Everything was clean, in working order, and the staff was very friendly and accommodating. Also the breakfast was really good!

What I was disappointed of was the help at the front desk. I had a two nights stay that was prepaid and we decided to stay only one night. I went to the desk And requested a one night stay and it was granted however I was charged for the night that we didn’t stay and the Hyatt property refused to refund the amount. We were told they were prepaid by Expedia and it was their reservation and it was nothing they could do about it. Expedia said it was Hyatt reservation and they refuse to refund. We were lied to by both and we won’t be using either services again.

Chose this hotel bc it's super close to my daughter's home. It was clean, in a safe area & staff was very nice. Did NOT like the free breakfast. Weird, gross "pieces" of bacon, eggs weren't good. Absolutely no pastry options. Could do so much better!

The property staff were polite and courteous. The room could use better cleaning. The carpets need to be shampooed. Our kids feet were black from just walking on the carpet in the room barefoot.

The only negative parts we had was the bed was box spring and hard, the shower was old and took a min to get going. The shower also doesnt close all the way so half of it is open so make sure to put a towel on the floor.

OUTSTANDING

I have stayed here before, so I knew what to expect. My plans did change for reasons beyond my control - and yes - I booked through expedia - but found it very difficult to change my plans with the front desk. I come to the area two or three times - and thought I had found my "go-to" hotel - now I am not so sure.

Please makes sure when people are checked in they know there is a tub in the ada bathroom.

It was a very nice area and it was conveniently close to where I had to be the next morning
