Clean room, easy check in

The motel itself was fine, basic mom and pop motel. It has been updated. However, the bed was extremely uncomfortable. The mattress was a "mattress in a box"--foam mattress that you release from a roll and let it expand. Idk if it is just worn out from use or what, but there was no support at all. You sink so deep into the mattress you might never get out! At 5:55 AM the noises started. I wasn't sure if someone was trying to blast their way in or out of their room. It sounded like manhole covers were being dropped from great heights. No covert actions like Shawshank Redemption. The world knew something was happening. An hour or so later, a truck came and moved something that sounded like Monday morning garbage pickup. Sigh of relief when that was done after 15 minutes. However, it couldn't have been a garbage pickup then because that truck showed up at 8:30. The dumpster was right outside our room...you know, one of those construction sized dumpters. Not only did it lift and dump the thing, it dragged it all over the danged parking lot like it was it's trophy kill. So between the bed and all the early morning noises, I was extremely disappointed.

The hotel was nicely priced and clean. The mattresses were very soft. The tv was terrible. We don’t really watch a lot but if your someone that likes a tv or movie this may not be the place for you.

Breakfast was a typical continental breakfast found at more upscale hotels...waffles, biscuits and gravy, eggs, yogurt, juice, fruit and breads. Very nice and good coffee!!! Please remember this is a budget hotel. The room is sparce, but very clean. The bathroom looked to be new. Water pressure is not very good...just don't wash your hair ladies!! There is a coffee machine, microwave, refrigerator, and tv. Air conditioning worked well. All that is needed for one or two nights. The mattress was very soft! However, I still slept well.

I wish the hotel room door had a better seal. A strong smell of Marijuana seeped into my room through the gaps. I rolled a towel on the floor in front of the door but could not block the gap up the side of the door.

I like that the property overall was clean, small and quiet. I thought that the renovations looked amazing and they really did a good job of creating a warm environment. I also liked that the price was affordable for such awesome accommodations. My room seemed dirty, it had a horrible smell to it, and when I went to use the AC, there was some type of substance that came out and caused me a lot of respiratory problems. My eyes were watering I could not breathe, and I started sneezing and coughing really badly. Additionally, there were dead bugs in the shower and it did not feel clean to me. I asked the nice gentleman if I could switch rooms and he kindly obliged. The new room was awesome, but I was still so affected from the previous room that I could not sleep. So I was up at 5 AM and decided to leave, but by that time there was a new associate there who was rude to me as I was checking out at 5 AM. She wrote her eyes at me and asked me “What do you want“? She was extremely rude for no reason, considering I had not even spoken to her yet. I will probably never come here again. Mainly because of that young lady who was so rude and unprofessional.

Although the building itself is dated, the upgrades and improvements in the rooms were well noted. The accommodations rivaled any new facility I have been in recently. The breakfast service was good with a good selection. We were disappointed that the mattress was thin and seemed to be only foam rubber. The room had a stale odor when we arrived (probably from not being used recently). There was no directory service information available - where to find ice, etc.

Not a pretty stroll outside. Noisy neighbors the first night, but I suppose that's not the hotel's fault. Was there for a seminar, good enough to sleep in.

Absolutely love this place. Our son lives in the city where it’s located and we always stay there. Incredible value for the price. Spacious bathroom and great shower, super comfortable beds. Quiet and safe, late night bar across the street if you want a nightcap.

This is a nicely renovated motel, close to downtown Greenville. The new bathrooms are very attractive and the beds were comfortable. The hot breakfast had many options including eggs, oatmeal and fruit. I would stay here again when visiting my student at Furman. This vintage motel is located on a main road, as is traditional, so there is some road noise. But the convenient location was great.

We really enjoyed this property for our one night! It was close to town and very affordable compared to other hotels in the area. The friendly staff even let us check in an hour early which was so appreciated since we had an event a few hours later. The rooms are nicely remodeled. We will be back!

The room smelled stuffy when we arrived. The bed was very (too) soft. I felt like I was in a gully. It was very hard to roll out of it.

We love this hotel and have stayed there many times while visiting our son at Furman University. I am sad we won't get to keep coming back as he is graduating! Perfect for the price!

This place was kinda shady. Not as nice as it looks in the pictures. Staff seemed a little weird and unfriendly. The whole vibe was just kind of odd and unsettling.

The room was clean, comfortable bed. Hot breakfast, close parking proximity and well lit parking lot. The highway noise was exceedingly loud but the AC fan helped cancel some of the noise.

I was surprised how nice this place was!! When I pulled in, I was skeptical. The room was super clean, the bed was comfy, it was quiet, I felt safe and the bathroom is large and nice. You can tell they’ve done a lot of work and took pride in what they’re shooting for. I would 100% stay again!!

I had a horrible experience here. The fridge wasn't working and I had to get a new room. It had a funny smell. The management was ok. They did get me a new room when I found out the fridge wasn't working. Then I went to dinner at the restaurant across the street and it was pretty much a bar. It was very loud. The area was average. I somewhat felt safe in the hotel. It seemed dumpy to me. There were no amenities either. I will not stay at this hotel again.

This was our 4th stay, it’s clean and the staff is very helpful.

I stay at this property every year for the SEC WBB tournament. Its convenient to the arena and several places to eat/drink. The property is maintained and my room has always been clean and I never felt unsafe. Would recommend.

It is exactly what you wits expect for the price. Location is fine and many restaurants nearby including Fork and Plough--which was damn amazing.

This is urban, for sure - right next to a gas station and in a run down looking neighborhood. It’s not a hotel - it’s a motel. We were awakened at 3 AM by a huge domestic disturbance in the room next to us. Shouting, banging, violent sounds - the police came - twice.

I booked here because it’s under the BW brand, so I had a minimum expectation. Clearly I was wrong on that. First off, it’s a motel, not a hotel. That wasn’t a huge deal, but it was annoying that there was no elevator. There’s also no ice machine - a real bummer for roadtripping. The room was clean enough. The TV streaming barely worked with Peacock. Basically, once we connected, there was no pausing our show or backing out. The breakfast was disappointing. It was barely edible. My husband and I ended up throwing it away and getting breakfast elsewhere. This stop is making me rethink BW branded places.

I needed a place to stay close to work because of a snowstorm. This place is clean, no bugs, comfortable beds, and nice hot showers. It is completely safe and you can tell the owners are very proud of the boutique. Their rates were the best in Greenville and located just outside of downtown with a vibrant neighborhoood just less than a mile away. Thank you for your hospitality.

The older Indian man who I believe the be the owner is welcoming genuine nice and polite but his wife and cleaning staff are rude not welcoming not genuine mean and not polite at all. I stayed at This place eight days while training for my job. The wife never greets never says thank you and serves the breakfast with such a rude attitude. She half cooks the food the biscuits are always half done. The older cleaning lady is worse than the wife she called my husband a boy. She banged on the door like so hard like she was trying yo break it down. Shouted at my husband and I its check out time. I explained we are checking out a few minutes later and it should be ok given Ive been here 8 days. She said she doesnt care. She half cleans rooms. Doesn't change the covers and told us she will not clean the room every day. Shes really something nasty. Her and the wife will ruin the mans business. He should fire that cleaning lady because of her I would never stay there again when visiting Greenville.

The carpet was gross. The staff was not friendly. There were signs saying you could not take the free breakfast to your own room. The room could have used a deep clean. The bed was memory foam and had zero support it was like quick sand.

It was an okay stay for the price. The rooms and furniture were outdated.. The shower leaked a lot that we had to put a towel down to catch the water. It had a weird smell. It was okay for the price but it could use some upgrades. Loved the Barn Style doors for the bathroom but the carpet needs to be replaced along with a few other things. But overall it served its purpose for our trip.

Location and affordability describe this hotel best. Located within a 5 minute drive to downtown Greenville makes this a great place to stay. Great rate makes it the hotel to choose. It was clean and had a nice breakfast. The only con for me was that the mattress was like a marshmallow. I did sleep well though. I will return here when visiting Greenville again.

Although its an old 70's style hotel with outdoor walkways and stairs, the attractive looking front added at some point makes it appear modern in the photos.The rooms are clean and smelled good and everything in them great condition or updated (like the big shower and barn door to bathroom). Breakfast was well presented and tended. Nicer than every other value hotel I stayed in this year, which has been a half dozen of them.

Overall, I enjoyed my stay. The only thing that I didn't like were the pillows on the bed. I'll stay there again.

Convenient to Downtown

We liked staying here; wade Hampton is a good street to stay on the access many parts of Greenville.

It was a good stay for the price and the fact that they're animal friendly but it was not "hotel clean." It's a motel, not a hotel. There was blood on the bathroom wall, the carpet stunk like mildew, and the room needs a paint job.

I came for graduation & my family came along. Now I been a housekeeper for 15 yrs as a former housekeeper cleaning in some of the best hospitals in the country, one thing we look for is attention to detail & extreme cleanliness. I enjoyed my stay. I will stay again.

The carpets were damp on bare feet and smelled like dog urine and mold. The other room they offered us was upstairs where it was too difficult for me to access with no elevator. The coke machine and ice machine were not working. Our bathroom had very low water pressure in the sinks and a large piece of the wall covering missing in front of the toilet. The shower worked well and the beds were comfortable.

The staff is pleasant, especially the housekeeping ladies. Cleanliness is good. Breakfast is good. A couple of fairly minor facility issues, including ice machine not working.

i liked the outside entrance to rooms

I was traveling alone with two children and felt very unsafe at this location. There were people roaming around and being noisy late at night. The room smelled like cigarette smoke and was very humid feeling.

For the price, you can’t beat it.

The rug in the room was a little dirty as evidenced by my socks were dirty walking in the room. Maybe clean the carpet? Bed was comfy though. Shower head not so great, this needs to be replaced with a larger one and something that water comes out with a better force.

Breakfast is good as other reviews mentioned. The lady serving the breakfast is very nice. The environment is very NOISY though. I got the corner room at the very end. Trucks will come early in the morning to pick up trash. And an old man, probably the boss here, will walk around at 5 am while playing weird music. They also charged me extra city tax at check in although I already paid in full on Hotel.com.

The front desk service, the room, and the breakfast were all fine. Our only real complaint was the traffic noise that made it seem like the passing cars on the highway were right outside our door, and we were in a room at the back of the building! And, because we were close to their dumpster, when the trash truck came at 5 a.m., it woke us up.

I have stayed here a few times in the past. Clean! Safe! The carpet was a little work and breakfast was almost nonexistent. They were out of everything on the hot menu. No eggs! No biscuits! Service is great!

There was blood on the lamp shade, as well as, blood on the walls and shower of the bathroom. The lock to the room was broke. The shower wall was broke with cracking and the towel rack was broken off the wall. The motel refused a refund and the manager has yet to respond to email or phone calls.

Place was a renovated motel…very cheaply renovated motel. With that being said, it was clean and affordable. Bed was terribly plush, however - sheets were spotless. Breakfast was nothing special but can’t expect much for the price. Housekeeping was kind and attentive.

Super clean with modern design. The barn door design for the bathroom was a nice touch too. Super nice staff, comfy beds, peaceful, VERY clean and even the breakfast went above and beyond. Would GLADLY STAY AGAIN.

The room smelled like bleach when we first entered the room. Bathroom was remodeled and very clean. Bed was low. It was a mattress setting on a frame. No box spring. The carpet was old and our pajamas smelled musty when we got home and so did my CPAP. If they added a box spring to the bed and replaced the carpet, the room would be perfect. It included a coffee pot, small microwave and refrigerator.

Stayed here as a last resort as Linkin Park had the surrounding area sold out aside from the Hilton downtown that price hiked their charge to over $550 per night for the concert. One of the worst experiences my wife and I have had at a hotel. The smell of bleach and curry was so bad my truck smelled like it for 3 days after just bc the suitcase. You can hear every single vehicle that drives by, horrible water pressure.

An extra blanket would have been nice to have ready.

Stayed for a quick girls trip. Very basic property, has only what you need. Great price! We were thrilled at the level of cleanliness and how quite the property is. It was a little further from downtown than expected, but still very close to most things. Will stay again if in the area.

This hotel is definitely not what itbise to be. The room was dirty. Smears of dirt of walls and windows. Dirt in shower, spains on bed , the assesories like coffee pot microwave and vents not clean. The cob webs were in each corner . Honestly the worst stop ive ever had. Would not recomment. Its better to spend just a little bit more money for a hotel in which will give a better room amd stay .

Fridge didn’t work, ice machine out of order, bed very soft. Room was clean. This is a motel, not a boutique hotel. Could hear the tv and people walking upstairs along with any one talking in the parking lot. Zero insulation. Staff was kind and allowed early check in.

My wife and I traveled to Greenville for a concert and quick overnighter. The Urban Boutique Hotel was close to the venue, priced right, and was a great choice for us. The hotel itself has been around for a long time, has a "retro" look (60's roadside motel look), but is super clean, well kept, and updated rooms. The staff were very nice, attentive, and took care of us. We did not eat the complimentary breakfast so cannot comment on that, but overall, we would definitely come back and stay again.

My only complaint is that the outlets next to the beds will not hold the charger block properly so devices may or may not charge. Placing a list of restaurants/distance in the rooms would be helpful for out of town guest. Overall 4.5 out 5.

We were in town for a concert and needed a place to spend the night and for that this was an adequate spot. It is nothing fancy but it was exceptionally clean. The bed while a good size had a mattresa that was too soft. And there was only one bedside table and lamo and plug in. For the price it was sufficient

Hotel was nice and clean but I thought it was more of a motel. It is in an area away from pedestrians. The renovations look good and the service was great. The price does attract all walks of life but it was still pretty comfortable. The small things that took a "star" was the privacy film was not retactable and the freezer portion in the fridge needed cleaning. Overall I enjoyed my stay and the breakfast was a good standard.

Then, in the room, there was a powdery perfume smell that stuck to all my clothing and luggage. I had to wash everything, even clothing and baggage i did not wear or use. Overall it was not a pleasant experience.

The room had dirty furniture. There was hand prints and stains on the walls. The only towel in the room was dirty, we had to go ask for clean towels. The shower had cracks and very poor water pressure. There was grim built up on the toilet flush button. There was peeling on the minifridge and shower dial. The walls were very thin so it was hard to sleep with all the noise. We got there around midnight and left that morning but it was the worst place ive ever stayed at. I was too tired to try and find somewhere else to get a few hours of sleep.

Not bad for the price, but the room had a very perfume smell like is was masking another smell. The black out shade was broken. It had no cord to lower or raise and was just rounded up behind the other shade.

This hotel was actually really decent and was available last minute for a reasonable price. My only issue was the staff decided to keep my deposit for a missing “digital timer”. Mind you I only had room for 1 night , and we stayed in the room just to sleep. Very unprofessional and I will not be going back.

This is my second time staying here and both visits were pleasant. Easy parking, clean rooms, nice toiletries, up-to-date appliances and technology in the rooms, comfortable bed.

The name of this hotel suggests that it might be small and possibly quaint. But in truth, it’s a pretty basic place—not bad in any way—but located on a very loud and busy roadway. Moreover, the other guests (I assume they were guests) were wandering around at all hours speaking loudly on their mobiles. So while the room was fine, albeit pretty basic, with a very nice tv, for ex, the overall environment of the place was quite noisy day and night.

Not fancy, but nice and clean. Exactly what we needed.

Great and well maintained property

This was definitely an attempt at revamping an old motel. Although they tried their best it's just not enough. Coffee maker didn't work in the room. One positive is they had a good breakfast.

Great breakfast. Room was comfortable, but smelled of bleach at check-in. But am pleased they disinfect thoroughly though.

Overall the experience with our stay was good. A lot of outside and above noise which was ok but the fighting and loudness of people in the parking lot was hard to sleep! Not sure if that was just bad luck or is that’s normal for people that stay there! We didn’t eat breakfast because it was over by 9am I choice to sleep in after concert the night before!

Nice for the price

First, cleanliness, this hotel gets 10 stars. Second, Internet connection, once again 10 stars, very fast Internet connection. Third, breakfast. The breakfast at this hotel was as good if not better than many restaurant breakfast. If I am in the Greenville area, I will drive extra miles to stay here again.

Staff was very welcoming! Continental breakfast was pretty good, I didnt expect that! A little worn down but was clean and did the job!

I didn’t get to come because of Hurricane Helene. Ive tried calling the hotel but the line isn’t working. I’ve left 2 messages but no response. I would like a refund or at another at a later date. Please help me!!
