Reviews
The hotel is generally praised for its cleanliness, friendly and helpful staff, and convenient location, particularly for those visiting Harpers Ferry. The breakfast is also a highlight for many guests. However, some guests have complained about the lack of an elevator, noise from traffic, and issues with the beds and shower rods.

Hotel has been updated recently. Our room air conditioner started leaking in the night. Staff quickly transferred us first thing in the morning to another room. The water was also turned off in town for 4 hours during the night. Not fault of the hotel, and luckily didn’t affect us much since it was between 10pm-2am. Disadvantage was not elevator to get to our second floor room with multiple bags/suitcases. No pool at this location. Breakfast was delicious!
- 5/5
The Hotel is near the AT and I felt welcome.

Decent clean room in a location close to our destination.. Night desk attendance was unfriendly and non-attentive.
- 4/5
Staff was very helpful. Breakfast was good.
- 5/5
We arrived for a one night stay, less than 24 hours. We are a family of 4. Room was nice but on the smaller side. Bathroom was very small. Would recommend 2 rooms if staying longer. Breakfast was not bad either.
- 3/5
First room offered had powerful odours (pets?) and not acceptable. Alternative room was fine although all odd numbered rooms suffer road noise in morning rushour. Breakfast very nice for level of hotel.
- 4.5/5
Great value for the money. Traveling by bicycle and they had a nice wash station to hose off and clean our bikes. This was extra nice since it was a very muddy trip. breakfast was great too, just what we needed before heading out on our bikes and the place was super quiet..maybe because most folks staying were cyclist or hikers and we were all super worn out. It was a springily great stay that we didn't expect. Harper's Ferry very much needs a way to get our bikes off the tow path so we can better support these businesses. I ride the C&O often and most the time I skip over this area because I can't get my bike up the flights of steps... I am glad my husband was with me this trip and carried my bike up and over. We found not only this great place to stay but wonderful vegan restaurant and craft beers not far from the hotel.
- 5/5
Breakfast had all the necessities and was tasty. Rooms were clean. Parking was convenient and safe. Walking distance from Harpers Ferry. We took the Appalachian Trail, which is across the street, into town.
- 5/5
Staff was friendly. Bed was very comfortable. I liked that there was a nice place to walk adjacent to the property.
- 3/5
The highlight was the amazing woman who took care of the breakfast!

- 5/5
Everything! Great room, great value! Abundance of space and lovely staff. Breakfast a bit basic
- 3/5
Would have liked a hot tub. Breakfast only very average. Good price. Nice location.
- 3/5
Staff was nice and close to Harper’s Ferry. Hotel needs lots of upgrades and renovations.
- 5/5
I often stay here. It’s a very good place to stay while hiking or touring Harper’s Ferry. Some of the staff are very helpful and baked cookies or decorate whimsically. Others are more matter of fact I wish they were cookies every night. They are accommodating and flexible and will help with all of your needs. Comfortable bedding and nice location close to Appalachian Trail.

Friendly, clean, good breakfast
- 4/5
Staff was all very nice and the place was spotlessly clean. Our room appeared to have been recently redone. Breakfast was adequate but nothing to write home about. Seemed to be populated mostly by hikers. All and all would stay there again.
- 5/5
Clean and convenient. Nice breakfast.
- 4/5
Excellent helpful staff- property well maintained shower could be updated
- 5/5
The room was very clean. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. We would stay there again!!!
- 5/5
all was good
- 5/5
This hotel was just off the main highway and was very quiet and convenient. The breakfast offered the typical fare plus a waffle maker. We traveled a bit down the road to a restaurant called White Horse Tavern. I highly recommend this establishment.
- 4/5
Enjoyed the stay and the staff provided outstanding customer service. I would highly recommend this hotel.
- 4/5
Started our Appalachian trail hike here. Very nice for a quality inn. Nice staff comfortable bed
- 5/5
The Quality Inn at Harpers Ferry is located 5 minutes from Harpers Ferry Lowertown which is the historic heart of the Harpers Ferry National Historical Park. The Quality Inn was very clean, had plenty of parking and offered a nice morning breakfast.
- 3/5
Breakfast was not fresh. Parking was fine. Staff was very helpful. Did not any shampoo in our room. Air conditioner was very old and made horrible noise all night.
- 4/5
Clean and good location
- 5/5
Breakfast was very nice and easy and safe parking. So close to home trails and the wonderful historical Harper’s Ferry.
- 5/5
A little hidden gem. Very nice place to stay with convenience to Harpers Ferry as paramount.
- 3/5
Staff were kind and very helpful. Location was PERFECT for and easy to get to. There was a walking path right to the historical Harpers Ferry site which was a highlight. The beds were great and heating/cooling system was too. There was no elevator and the hallways were dusty and old. The bathrooms were sub-par. The continental breakfast was lacking but expected given this was a cheaper hotel for us.
- 5/5
The rooms were clean and the breakfast was adequate.
- 5/5
Parking was plentiful and spacious.
- 4/5
Breakfast was a bit weak! Eggs and Sausage were a bit suspect.
- 5/5
Room was spacious and clean. Bed was comfortable. Place was quiet and staff was friendly. Price was reasonable. We did not do breakfast. We would definitely come back when in the area. We definitely recommend to others.
- 5/5
Great stay for the price. Right off of the AT but a bit of a “hike” to the town. (see what I did there?) :)
- 4/5
Excellent location and the breakfast was great. Staff were very friendly and parking was plentiful. All in all a good stay.
- 5/5
Easy check-in in room was clean
- 4/5
The staff was friendly and the entire facility clean. The hotel is older and needs some updating. There is no elevator. But the price was great and as I already mentioned, it was clean.
- 4/5
Breakfast menu was not that good.
- 4/5
The Quality Inn met my needs and was comfortable.
- 4/5
Clean, quiet, safe.. the hotel met the requirements and the hotel receptionist was pretty cool.
- 3/5
Breakfast room was clean. The breakfast menu was good. The hotel is extremely quiet at night. We had a room facing the parking.
- 5/5
We really enjoyed the beds here - very comfortable. The room was spacious, breakfast options were sufficient. It was a little noisy right by the roadway but convenient location and fair price. I'd stay here again!
- 5/5
WiFi was a little iffy, but I didn't have time to use it. I went straight to bed. Very comfortable room. It was clean and well maintained. The interactions with the staff were wonderful.

Clean room in good shape, temperature great, close to park, breakfast very good. All staff very pleasant!
- 5/5
The room was comfortable and clean, and having breakfast included was great. Also, it’s very convenient being only a few minutes away from the main historic area of Harpers Ferry.
- 5/5
Free breakfast and clean room
- 5/5
Great place to stay!
- 3/5
She was nice and allowed me to use the station computer in the corner, but that too had internet issues.
- 4/5
Decent older hotel.
- 5/5
Great little hotel in Harper’s ferry. Stayed new years evenbecasue the hotel i usually stay at was booked. Friendly staff. Clean rooms. Nice amenities. Fair prices. Nothing else i would need from a hotel!
- 5/5
Polite front desk. Everything was clean.
- 5/5
One of the best Quality Inns. The room was updated, nicely decorated and in great shape. The breakfast area was clean and well stocked.
- 1/5
The breakfast room was adequate though the options were almost nothing at all. Packaged pastry, cheap yogurt and a waffle machine and that’s it. Only enough seating for about 15 people in the 15x12 room. Coffee was also bad.
- 5/5
Location is perfect! Bed is good. If breakfast can have more options, it would be fantastic
- 4/5
It would have been nice to have a more modern tv that Al would allow us to connect to Netflix, etc. and more breakfast options. Other than that, we would recommend the hotel!!
- 5/5
From the time I arrived, I was greeted with a smile. The hotel staff is incredibly friendly! I got a room with two Queen beds and let me tell you.....the beds are really comfy. Everything in the room was updated and fresh, making the room warm and inviting. Their continental breakfast is as good as, if not better than hotel chains I have stayed st.
- 4/5
The room and bathroom was clean and had all the necessities. We only ever communicated with the front desk and the staff was courteous and polite. We did not go for the free breakfast that the hotel provides since each day we had our own brunch plans, so I have no feedback regarding that. I think we were in room 108, and the bathroom didn't have any exhaust fan to aerate the bathroom after use. Our friends, staying in room 106, confirmed that their bathroom had the exhaust fans. So, I am assuming our room was an exception. However, when allotted a room, please check this out and request change if the bathroom lacks an exhaust fan. It was really inconvenient when both us had to use the bathroom of Room 108 one after another. I would hope the management will look into this room specific issue and remedy the situation at the earliest.
- 4/5
Clean rooms, nice staff, convenient safe location.
- 4/5
The rooms were clean and comfortable. Staff were friendly and the breakfast was hot and good quality.
- 5/5
Clean room, courteous staff
- 5/5
Clean room, had breakfast until 9:30am which was nice. Staff was helpful with our questions as well.
- 4/5
This hotel is very convenient to Old Town Harper's Ferry and the national park attractions. Easy to get to, convenient parking. A bit dated but clean and comfortable.
- 4/5
Overall good experience.
- 5/5
Loved my stay here. Everything was comfortable. Would come back again
- 5/5
Hotel was clean! Breakfast was great! Lots of choices! Staff was very friendly! If you can’t climb stairs, there is no elevator. Let them know you need a room on bottom floor! Location is great! Close to everything in the park.
- 5/5
YES PARKING WAS SAFT
- 4/5
There are no elevator
- 4/5
Great location, friendly staff. Room was clean and bed was comfortable. The only reason I did not give this place 5 stars is because there is no elevator and you have to drag all your luggage up steep stairs... and I found no warning of this anywhere when booking my room... so if it mentions it anywhere, its definitely not easy to see.
- 4/5
Convenient parking, comfy bed, close to downtown HF.
- 5/5
Really enjoyed our stay at the Quality Inn. The staff was lovely. Enjoyed the included breakfast. Convenient location to Harpers Ferry. We were able to explore other local towns and spent a day driving through the Antietam tour. I would highly recommend the Quality Inn. Great shower, good mattresses, and a nice breakfast.
- 5/5
Quick and easy
- 5/5
Staff were very courteous and room is clean
- 4/5
For a Quality Inn, it was very, very clean. The check-in clerk used my name to look me up on LinkedIn which seemed unprofessional, but other than that, very nice staff. Nice location too if you're visiting Harper's Ferry.
- 4/5
staff was Great!
- 4/5
The location of the Inn was ideal for access to Harper's Ferry and to Charles Town for dinner & miscellaneous shopping. Beds were comfy, the staff was friendly and helpful in all ways. Room and bathroom were clean (fan in bathroom super noisy...). With the back door often not fully latched and locked, security was not the best. Overall, it was a good choice in an area with few options.
- 5/5
Close to Harper's Ferry
- 5/5
everything was safe and the staff was incredibly friendly. would definitely stay again!!
- 4/5
Check in was a breeze!! Room was a bit cramped, but it was clean!! The scrolling TV guide was steadily 90 minutes behind, and the WiFi was extremely unreliable. BUT we had a fantastic stay. No "true" issues here. Thanks much!!
- 4/5
I didn’t have breakfast
- 5/5
The location is good and the staff is extremely friendly.
- 3/5
Improve your Wi-Fi
- 4/5
Parking lot access is a little tricky and some of the spaces are difficult, but it is well-lit. No elevator to the second floor.
- 4/5
Enjoyed our stay!
- 5/5
On the Appalachian Trail, staff is kind and helpful.
- 5/5
Nice location
- 5/5
It was a very great experience. The rooms were clean. The front desk people were very helpful. The breakfast was nice and a lady was cleaning the area and refilling the food.
- 5/5
Nice, comfortable stay in Harpers Ferry. They did the essentials well, like cleanliness, comfortable bed, and water pressure. A pretty good breakfast too! A little surprised at the price (a tad higher than most QIs) but not a lot of hotel options in Harpers Ferry, and still less than a BnB
- 5/5
Beds were super comfy and the front desk was very helpful!
- 3/5
There are not too many hotels to choose from in Harper’s Ferry but for an over night stay it was okay. i don’t know how this hotel got an excellent rating. The hotel was clean but it can use a remodel. The lobby furniture and outdoor couch need to be replaced. There is no elevator so we had to carry all our things up the stairs. The parking lot is narrow and small. The hotel was full and several people had a hard time getting into a parking space. I wish we chose the Clarion down the road instead. The Clarion had a nice lobby with fireplace, restaurant, bar and lots of parking. Plus a better rate.
- 4/5
The exhaust fan for the bathroom didn't work so it was a choice of leaving the bathroom door open and make the whole room humid, or closed and let it get so steamy you couldn't breathe. The hotel also didn't have any information about Harper's Ferry.
- 5/5
Staff was friendly and helpful. Room was clean and it was very close to all the things we wanted to visit.
- 5/5
Had a very nice night. It was quiet and slept like a baby.
- 4/5
Service was excellent everyone was great building needs few updates but room was clean safe area
- 5/5
Very convenient to Harper’s Ferry.
- 5/5
Clean pleasant room, soft sheets and mattress. I'll certainly be staying here again on next trip to Harpers Ferry.
- 5/5
The breakfast bar even had hot sausage, eggs and biscuits along with the usual oatmeal, waffles, pastries and yogurt.
- 4/5
First room, the toilet didn't work. They exchanged our room without a hassle. Second room ws plagued by loud neighbors. Overall, the stay was good.
- 5/5
Quiet, convenient and felt safe parking there. The staff was helpful and check-in was a breeze.
- 5/5
Lots of dinning options and plenty of shopping with walking.
- 5/5
All staff greeted us and made sure everything was good with our room. Very friendly
- 5/5
Friendly staff, close to the parks
- 5/5
Enjoyed our stay!
- 5/5
Staff was very kind and took care of us when we requested a room change. Just around the corner from downtown Harpers Ferry.
- 5/5
Staff was very friendly and helpful.
- 5/5
Great location for stay near park. Excellent value. Friendly staff.
- 4/5
We struggled with internet connectivity throughout our stay while not a major problem simply inconvenient.
- 3/5
The parking lot is pretty rough- crumbly, garbage by the staircase. The bathroom is a little mildewy around the toilet base and bathtub caulk. There was a small gym but no pool. The laundry machine is ok- $3.50 for washer and $3.50 for dryer with a card, and the soap is another $2 all in quarters. I mean, it’s a Quality Inn in West Virginia, so, you know what you’re getting.
- 5/5
We found the motel comfortable and convenient.
- 5/5
This place was great, from the property itself to the people that were working. They were so accommodating and kind and interacted with us like they’ve known us forever.
- 5/5
Great location near Harpers Ferry with accommodating staff
- 3/5
very convenient toilet seat was broken room had a musty smell
- 4/5
Basic room, clean and walkable to downtown
- 5/5
When we are in the area again, we will definitely book again.
- 5/5
The staff was very helpful and the night shift lady at the desk was awesome! So very helpful. Stores are a short drive away. The old town of Harper’s ferry is about a 30 min easy walk (unless it’s 100 degrees outside)
- 3/5
I'm sorry to say that this stay was just ok. All the staff we encountered were very kind and helpful. Unfortunately the building is very dated. Its not large but the breakfast room is very small and choices were limited because they were waiting on a delivery. We did not give breakfast a try the second day and chose to eat elsewhere.
- 5/5
I stayed here aa a starting point for a long section hike on the AT. The room was fantastic! I would definitely stay here again. Easy access to Harpers Ferry, the AT, and very reasonable price.
- 5/5
Staff was friendly and helpful.
- 4/5
Convenient to downtown HF, and easy access to 340. Request to check in earlier than 3 PM due to medication that needed to be refrigerated was granted by front desk and was much appreciated. Quiet, uneventful stay; just as planned!
- 5/5
Great staff, good rates, breakfast included!
- 4/5
Nice motel, good price, a little old.
- 5/5
very professional
- 5/5
Hotel was clean and great location. Older hotel but beds were comfortable. Staff were very nice
- 4/5
All was good
- 5/5
It’s kind of an old hotel, but our room had been completely overhauled. Very clean, lots of outlets and usb ports, updated bathroom. Only stayed two nights and spent most of our time exploring Harper’s Ferry and nearby restaurants. The staff was friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. One drawback, no elevator, but it’s only two stories so no big deal.
- 3/5
Close to all
- 2/5
There was a hair in my bathtub and it was not mine. The internet service was poor. The breakfast was the worst breakfast ever. The room smell awful like stain smoke or mold. When I went to check out I asked for a receipt they printed out the one that was not the price but what expedia
- 5/5
Great place for a weekend stay. Friendly staff and clean room.
- 4/5
Just what you would expect. Bit of plumbing noise. Parking a plus.
- 5/5
Stayed here for 1 night during our road trip. Was a nice hotel in a great location. No complaints except they cut the grass right outside our room at 7 am on a Saturday morning.

- 4/5
Property is a little older, but not run down. The room was very clean. WiFi wasn't very good.
- 5/5
Wonderful experience and very helpful staff. Great value for the money!
- 5/5
A good hotel for the price.
- 5/5
Great overnight stay, older property but rooms were exceptionally clean and comfortable. Staff very accommodating, highly recommend.
- 4/5
Clean and comfortable.
- 5/5
Great price, clean comfortable bed. Breakfast was good
- 5/5
I haven’t stayed in a Quality Inn property for sometime but it was the most convenient location for our trip. The hotel looked cleaned, the stairs, the carpet and wallpaper a little rundown. I was surprised about good quality of the bed, crisp clean sheets and great support pillows. The shower pressure was fantastic. Overall, a great experience.
- 5/5
Very good
- 4/5
Weeds need to be pulled. Some above 2ft
- 5/5
Check in fast even though many people were checking in at the same time. Able to accommodate our bikes. Friendly and helpful staff.
- 5/5
Very updated hotel-
- 5/5
A solid, inexpensive, clean hotel. I stayed for a weekend and it was in a perfect location.
- 5/5
Very nice property. We enjoyed the friendly staff, the clean rooms and great complimentary breakfast. Highly recommend.
- 5/5
Very good customer service. Front desk was very friendly and even gave recommendations for trails near by.
- 3/5
Front desk staff were very nice and accommodating. Bathtub bottom did not look clean, perhaps it was stained. Older hotel. Convenient to Harpers Ferry.
- 3/5
It served our purpose. Room felt damp, highway noise was slightly irritating. housekeeping carts and a folding bed in hallway whole time, shower curtain rod becoming detached from wall. Breakfasts were good. Beds were comfortable.
- 4/5
Nice hotel within walking distance of Harpers Ferry.
- 5/5
Great service and clean
- 4/5
Good property. Scenic area.
- 5/5
As a female solo traveler, I really appreciated my room being on the first floor and at the end of the hallway. It was very comfortable. Overall, a good experience. If I come back to Harper’s Ferry, I’ll be staying here again
- 4/5
Decent room, but no elevator. Complimentary breakfast was good, but mini bagels cannot go in toaster. Housekeeping routine should be clearer, we needed to get fresh towels from front desk.
- 4/5
Although the property was somewhat dated, it still provided a good value. The food service staff kept th area fairly stocked with breakfast items. The area was clean.
- 5/5
6 of us stayed in 3 rooms on a bike trip to Harpers Ferry. We were able to wash down our bikes outside and keep them in our rooms. The bed was comfortable. Breakfast was good. The only down side was weak internet.
- 5/5
This property and staff were amazing. Clean and friendly. The town of Harpers Ferry was beautiful and nice but there is virtually no nightlife as everything closes early. Nice little overnight trip unless you are a huge fan of hiking.
- 5/5
The room is spacious, clean, comfortable bed, good service. We love the breakfast. The employees were very nice
- 5/5
Very clean room and amazing shower! Very friendly staff as well and location was excellent walkable distance to historic Harper’s ferry!
- 3/5
We enjoyed the walkability to Harper’s Ferry and absolutely loved the nearby Bolivar Bakery. The hotel itself is average at best. It is older and looks as you would expect. It seemed clean overall, but the walls are thin (our neighbor snored all night). Look out for the electrical outlets :/
- 4/5
Everything was good except the Marijuana smells in the hallway and elevator
- 5/5
Friendly staff. Can walk to lower town in under 30 mins. Nice graveyard next door.
- 5/5
Will stay here again
- 4/5
We were very impressed by the person working the front desk and how nice our room was. The only down side was the noise coming from the roadway that seemed to be just feet from our room. It was so noisy, even over my ear plugs! The parking lot was very tight, especially if you arrived late. Also, there was no elevator which made it difficult to get our 3 pieces of luggage up the steps.
- 4/5
Supper close to Battlefield for shuttle downtown. Staff are great!
- 5/5
We came to Harper’s Ferry by bicycle after a muddy, wet ride. The hotel provided an area to hose off our bikes and clean up. Very friendly desk staff. We could walk into town from this location.
- 3/5
Small hotel with basic amenities. Nothing extra. Small basic breakfast.
- 5/5

- 4/5
Good value and staff
- 5/5
Very nice and clean hotel continental breakfast definitely would recommend
- 4/5
Great stay again. Only complaint is there is no elevator. After hiking for miles for the C&O canal one day hike this weekend, climbing the stairs to the second floor was a struggle.
- 5/5
Location. Food was good and breakfast came out earlier
- 5/5
Great price and a great location adjacent to Harpers Ferry. Good continental breakfast too!
- 4/5
Check in was good. The only king left was on the second floor so we were offered a double queen on the first floor. The room was clean. The nightlight didn't work and the shower curtain rod was sagging and caused the curtain to constantly shift open. Breakfast was ok but the items offered were limited. I found a napkin in the sausage container.A pepper shaker was stained and dirty.A person vaping outside left the door blocked open with a towel.
- 5/5
Perfect spot for our night in Harper’s ferry!
- 5/5
We were very comfortable! It's not a first class hotel but is fairly priced and comfortable.
- 5/5
It was really great, would recommend to anyone headed that way.
- 4/5
Overall stay was good. Housekeeping did not come in at all, we had to ask for more towels, we were only there 2 nights. Staff were very nice!
- 5/5
Very nice for a one night trip. Great location to Harpers Ferry.
- 5/5
Quiet, easy parking, short walk to the Harpers Ferry.
- 5/5
Good location, friendly staff nice rooms. Good price.
- 5/5
This is a great property for visiting Harper's Ferry.
- 5/5
Great place to stay while traveling. Parking lot was well lit. Evening staff was amazing!
- 4/5
All excellent except the disposable cups and cutlery everywhere. It’s and for the environment!!
- 4/5
Breakfast was good. Would recommend.
- 4/5
Overall great stay. Close to everything. Only negative is when Room 127’s heater kicks on it will wake you from a sound sleep.
- 5/5
Our second visit here. The property has been updated and is very clean. Excellent place to stay especially if you're using the AT!
