Clean room and friendly staff

There was a cost for the breakfast which there weren't a lot of options. We didn't use this "amenity" for that reason. $12 was overpriced at best.

My only issue was it is advertised as within a mile of shops & restaurants (which is true) however we did not have a car, and it is not walkable from the hotel. No sidewalks. So taking an Uber was expensive until we actually rented a car to save. No public transportation.

Very friendly and clean

The property was nice and pet friendly. However the day of check out they were having the water worked on which threw off my plans for that morning. Couldn’t swim or go to the beach because I was not able to come back and shower. Everything else went well during the trip.

Property is well maintained. Main entrance for the hotel has stairs with no ramp or easily accessible alternative option. Challenging with suitcases. An elevator is available in the parking garage behind the property. Would be helpful if the information about the hotel described the entry and alternative entry options.

The chef Shelia did a tremendous job! It was my first time ever at a hotel breakfast not having to doctor up the grits!!! They were perfect!!! My wife and i both loved the bacon done just right! You could also get eggs however you wanted but I stuck with the grits and bacon!!! The whole staff was great would stay again!!!!

Inside the hotel didn't seem like Hilton Garden Hotel like others I've stayed at. Not as nice as the others.

You receive a text when you arrive. Asking, if everything is alright. And I answered the text, stating that my toilet seat was very loose about to fall off, and the smell in the hallway was so strong of chemical, but nothing was addressed while we were there. When you check-in, they tell you about breakfast Starting at 7 AM. But they don't tell you that it's $17.00. The lobby and guest areas are very nice, but the rooms are very outdated.

The staff were very friendly and welcoming. Having free parking is wonderful, outside and in the garage. The room overall smelled and appeared clean but the bathroom bathtub could have been cleaner, it was like slightly grey as if there was build up dirt. Also, the cleaning policy is every other day which is ok but I had to ask them to clean because they didn't even when they were suppose to. And the area is pretty quiet so it's good if you don't like noise. Overall I would give the place a 3.5

I really liked the location of the Hilton. The fact it was on the main strip of the highway were it was easy to find different places even restaurants in walking distance. The staff was very friendly. Our shower would not let water go down. Damon who was not the maintenance guy came in and fixed it for us. The pool should maybe have a net over it to keep the leaves from falling in it. Maybe some updated bathrooms.

If you discover that you left any valuables in your room, forget about getting them back from housekeeping. I left several gold earrings in my room in addition to a large (expensive) shampoo bottle and facewash. And somehow nothing was found or turned in to lost and found by housekeeping. I filed a complaint against the hotel with the State of South Carolina for theft.

The hotel has a great location and the staff was friendly. The dining room had a good selection for both breakfast and dinner. The room was also very clean and comfortable.

They property was great! We had a very comfortable stay here and the property is very well kept and clean. Parking is also very easy. The bathrooms were also great! Wonderful property and wonderful stay here.

Breakfast should be included for all guests. I found a wrapper from the previous guests toiletries in the shower. Toilet did not flush well and we had to ask twice to have it fixed. The blanket used for the pull out bed felt like it was made out of sandpaper. The male who works the desk at night not too friendly.

All was good. Parking a little different, but ok. Also, the pictures on Expedia did not match up to the hotel very well. But we had a very nice room.

There was blood on towel, and also no curtain on shower. It got resolved but was kind of nasty to see.

Room 320 was so loud with the A/C unit in a locked closet in the bedroom I couldn't sleep. I don't know if all rooms are like this but avoid this room b/c it sounded like a 747 all night long

The construction noise in the lobby was deafening! Due to construction going on there was not enough parking. Lobby was freezing! Breakfast was taken to our room because lobby was so cold! And we weren’t given enough syrup for our meal. Suggestion…fan in bathroom and nightlight would be nice to have. Service was ok

I have stayed here two years in a row for PSSCA, and I appreciate the renovations. The staff was nice. Parking was easy. I liked the new rugs. The shower and the space were clean. I wish breakfast were included in the cost of the stay.

The breakfast was over priced for the options and cold even though we got there right at 7am. We paid over $30 for grit that I didn’t eat because they were cold and crunchy, sausage that was mostly fatty, eggs and bacon.

The room was large enough, but the bathroom was especially small and not convenient. There was construction going on the floor below us, and constant noise each day we were there. We understand the need to remodel, but overall condition of the building needs updating. The breakfast was limited (the same thing for two days in a row) and VERY expensive for what we got. Not what we would expect from an up-class Hilton property.

It’ll be great once the entire remodel is complete.

The crib we asked for and its sheets were dirty. Night manager said he was the only person working and would not bring up fresh sheets. Clocks in the room were all wrong. Elevators were covered in moving blankets. They sounded like they were going to break when you used them. In general, it was a very grungy, dirty feeling hotel.

Not the cleanest, not terrible, but easy fixes. “Lots” of hair in the bathroom, espec on the “ceiling”…of all places!! Outlets are dirty and broken.

Under renovations and construction. Room was dirty, candy wrappers on floor, no extra pillows or blankets left. Room was very cold. Thermostat not efficient . No room service available. We were told the entire hotel system was down so we couldn’t purchase any food after long day of travel They initially told us we could when we arrived and we told them we needed to get settled in and we would be down to order. Very disappointed with what they advertise for amenities .. luckily we purchased the breakfast on line as if we hadn’t we would have been charged 17 dollars per person in the morning to eat from their buffet breakfast. They said they would give us extra points on our Hilton rewards for the inconvenience but never did. I would not stay here again.

This property is udergoing a renovation but they need to keep up what they already have. This property does not stand up to Hilton's standards. The shower curtin was terrible and broken, the condiments were empty, there was no coffe table which we used to eat on, the mattress was terrible. I have never slept on a mattress this bad at any Hilton. It was hard, bumpy, and like the ones in a motel. Normally they are plush, soft and a great nights sleep. I was so disappointed.

The staff was courteous. They didn’t clean the room the following day. I hope they cleaned the day I left and there is no continental breakfast for free. You have to pay $17 per person, regardless of age or anything. Staff was very friendly very nice great location the only downfall was you know trying to grab something to eat quick to go in the morning and the Hotel room not being cleaned after my first night stay there.

I didn’t utilize the bar and breakfast wasn’t free, it was a small buffet for $17. Everything was good except we were in a room with a door that had the ac blower behind it. Anytime the air came on it was like a train was coming through. It was so loud we could barely sleep. We tolerated it because we were only there one night.

We had breakfast on our last day. It was good but should have more options like toast, potatoes with the eggs.

The hotel was accessible to shopping area and fine dining, the check in staff was friendly and gave excellent service. However I did not like the late start breakfast option as I had to leave early around 6am everyday and 7:30am is not an ideal time for people who have to leave early as well. It was hard to get my room serviced as cleaning staff seems peeved to be asked to do their job despite my being there for more than three days and haven’t even received clean towels. The elevator doors were very slow if they worked at all. And the ground parking smelled awful as well.

I wouldn’t stay again, what dining/bar service was closed more than open. Garbage always by elevator in parking garage and I think they had a raid one night. It was not located where we thought it was going to be, way to much traffic out front.

This property definitely needs an upgrade. The rooms and facility were dated and worn and definitely needs an modernization. The staff was ok - not 100% attentive of your needs or requests - the front desk ignored me when standing there to ask a question. The lighting in the room was poor quality - and there were no places to put items - 3 people in the room and there was not enough sitting and storage for the stay or to hang towels.

Overall I made a good decision to stay here.

The room was spotless, comfortable, and perfectly set up for us to settle in and relax. The property itself was beautifully maintained, quiet, and welcoming. About 8 years ago I stayed here on a business trip, and I couldn’t wait to come back to experience their hospitality again. I’m so glad I did—this visit exceeded my already high expectations. We left with such a positive impression and will absolutely be returning on our next trip to Hilton Head. Highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for comfort, cleanliness, and top-notch service.

The hotel was convenient to where my family was staying on the island. It also was close to restaurants and shopping. The staff was very helpful and pleasant.

The staff were all friendly and professional, and the handouts with dining options and info on beaches were very helpful. Although the swimming pool had modest proportions, it was clean, well-stocked with towels and had its own bathroom. I swam there every day. We only tried the breakfast buffet once, but it was fine, and good value for $17. We didn't eat dinner there, but the menu looked good. The only thing that was a bit frustrating was the a/c, which blew cold air no matter what temperature we set on the thermostat. We actually had to turn it off at night. We probably should have asked someone at the front desk to look at it, but didn't. A nice touch was the card with a QR code to tip the great housekeeping staff. I wish more hotels offered that! Overall, I would heartily recommend the Hilton Garden Inn!

For the price, this location did what it needed to do.

Ok for the money. Bathroom sink severely clogged upon arrival, but was fixed the next day. The refrigerator has very low temperatures, our food got frozen, as well as our water bottles.

We enjoyed our stay in virtually all respects. While breakfast is complimentary at other hotels, the $34 (2x$17) for us was a bit much. Overall, the facility was clean and we'll visit again if travelling to the Hilton Head area.

This property is older and outdated. After the first night, I woke up with two bedbug bites. I bought products from Walmart to spray down the entire room. There are spiders everywhere inside and outside, especially in the parking garage. The photos are very deceiving, and I expect better from a Hilton property.

It was easy to get in and out of garage to and from my room without having to go through the front desk. It was seamless, safe and secure as well .

The air conditioning was not working past 72 degrees. The bathroom sink was leaking. The room wasn't cleaned during our stay only once

This hotel is located right before the intercoastal bridge, making it somewhat difficult to get in and out off due to the high volume of traffic during peak hours. Most of the housekeeping staff spoke very little English, making communication somewhat difficult. We were not aware that housekeeping was only done during the morning. On day two of our stay, we left the room around 11:00 am and returned around 4:00 pm. Sadly to our surprise, our room had not been done. We ended up having to request maintenance and housekeeping in person. In the end, housekeeping was very accomodating and they changed our sheets/made our beds and provided us with new towels.

Would stay somewhere else next time.

Breakfast is not $8-10, it is $17 and awful. Hotel was not dirty but run down and ugly with water stains everywhere. Bed was uncomfortable. People who worked there were nice and helpful but would not stay there again.

The rooms were clean and staff friendly/helpful. Not enough parking in the covered garage, so we ended up getting drenched one night coming home from dinner when it was raining heavily. I also wish that breakfast was included with the high prices we paid for this stay.

Our stay was amazing! We have stayed in other facilities at Hilton Head Island but none compares to Hilton Garden Inn. We felt at home.The entire staff we encountered were friendly and wonderful. Kudos to the General Manager- Ms Suzana, who made sure that my needs and concerns were appropriately taken care of. My wife and I would definitely stay here again!!!

I always try to stay at the Hilton Garden Inn in Bluffton whenever I visit Hilton head Island. I check in and visit with my elderly relatives frequently and have found over the past years that this has been the best cleanest, safest hotel that is closest to the island. I have also stayed here recently during the last two hurricanes, not knowing that the hotel was safe and hurricane proof. during the hurricane season because it is hurricane proof. The staff is excellent and a shout out to Damon at the front desk. He is awesome.

Checked in ,staff was very friendly. Explained everything well. Got to room was very nice. We rented suite because we love the extra room . Air was set at 66 but was 73 in the room, figured it was because it was the heat of the day. Went and bought a box fan to circulate air. Went to supper and shopping. Upon return room was still 72 and it was 8 o'clock. Called desk, they sent maintenance. He said wasn't working. Had to pack up and move to another room which wasn't a suite .Room was cool so guess it worked out.

the only problem i had was the front entrance. i have a bad hip and knees it was hard for me to go up and down the stairs

Very poor property. Very dirty, humid, lots of bugs. The door to enter from the outside by my room did not lock, it felt very unsafe. Did not feel comfortable staying here, checked out less than 10 minutes after seeing my room.
