Americas Best Value Inn Houston Hobby Airport

Parking felt safe yet open. Staff was very kind and helpful. Area is safe and practical. Air conditioning worked perfectly. Just one detail on the card reader, it wouldn't read sometimes. Everything else was perfect. My favorite stay here in South Houston.

I liked the breakfast, except not having bacon. The bed was a 7.5 out of 10. The TV was a good size. Good lighting in the room. The toilet was clogged when I arrived. That means me and my girlfriend couldn’t go #2 without worrying that we’d have to call for maintenance. She also couldn’t go #1 without it getting clogged. I don’t know if it was just a faulty toilet or was just clogged before we got there. There wasn’t bacon in the breakfast. Who wouldn’t want bacon? The person at the desk was probably new so they couldn’t find my reservation right away. My biggest gripe would be paying $100 to sleep in a room where the toilet worked 10% of my stay. I would ask for a refund over it but obviously that won’t happen.

parking was easy and secure. The heater worked. The staff was very pleasant and helpful. I felt safe.

The room was clean. The air conditioner worked. The bed was comfortable. There was a table and a small circular table and chair. We had two queen beds with nice pillows. The traffic was near. However my son had to be at the airport at 3:30 AM. I said to myself the noise will prevent me from oversleeping. However the bed was comfortable and I was tired. I did not hear anything when I slept. I guess I can not complain. Having a clean room with comfy beds is what is important. We were near Fast Park where we left the car and took the airport shuttle. This was a positive.

Perfect place for an overnight stay. Not 5 star but clean and hotbshower is all we need. Owner was very friendly also. Only thing, if you are a light sleeper this might not be the place for you very loud from the highway and airport. I slept through it but I don't sleep light at all.

The air conditioner didn't cool well enough and I found myself waking up throughout the night sweating. Also, there was a problem with the Wifi connection it would run slowly or not at all sometimes. However, the hotel was so well kept and clean that I continued for the duration of my stay.

I booked a King Suite it had bed bugs and roaches and no microwave or no iron and refrigerator was leaking water!

The place was very clean and in order, and check in/check-out was easy. Very close to the airport also. If you are a light sleeper, you might need ear plugs because air planes are continuously landing/taking off nearby.

Comfortable little bit of stains in the carpet and we got a room towards the highway side so kinda loud and ac had to be put on 65 for the room to stay cool. Other than that I would stay again. Oh and front desk very nice guy.

MCAT/PEARSON TESTERS: You must go back around Monroe Rd and get back on the feeder to get to the site. It is still very close. If loud noises bother you, this hotel might not be for you. The highway and airport noise is quite loud. Did not bother me too much Beyond that, great staff and nice room with everything you need.

Even though I arrived very late they were nice about it and friendly with no issues at all. The room was clean no bad odor we slept comfortably. Roger the front desk man was really nice and helpful as well. Would definitely stay there again in the future.

I would definitely stay here again whenever I visit Houston, Texas the man who owns the place was so wonderful so nice whenever I had a problem he fixed it right then he didn’t complain. He didn’t have an attitude. He was awesome and I really enjoyed the area that it was in was quiet. That was the biggest thing for me that I really enjoyed, this four stars

The rate was excellent, the location was convenient, however the neighboring hotels/motels were suspect to say the least. The hotel does do a good job at making you feel secure on property, with a gate completely enclosing the property and well lit parkimg areas.

I was a late check in so it was quite. The check in process was quick overall and the rooms were decent.

Staff and property ok. Now if only there was a way to help reduce thr noise. Maybe enclose the frnce? Give guesys esr plugs? Better sound proof windows or doors? Idk

The stay was good,however room smelled like cigarettes even tho it was a non smoking room. A/C worked great, I liked that parking space was gated.

The manager was very nice and kind and check in process was very swift.

Property is close to Airport

Check in staff was friendly. Room was great. Parking was a bit cramped, but doable. The hedges infront of room walkway kinda in the way. Overall, pleasant experience.

Everything about our stay, check-in, and check-out went great. Very friendly and helpful staff. We chose this location because of the proximity to downtown Houston and the NASA Space center and both were short simple drives. The location is next to the freeway so there was some road noise but that did not in any way negatively affect our stay and we still had restful nights.

The general manager was nice and very accommodating. When our flight got cancelled we went back to the room and be had it ready for us right away. Would and will definitely stay here again.

The property was very old and needs to be updated. The first room had dirty sheets and smelled like fresh cigarette smoke. The second room had dirty sheets also and the ac was broken so it was really hot. Some of the furniture was broken in both rooms and it was just not a pleasant experience. Management was very helpful in trying to accommodate me so that was nice.

Friendly and the rooms were comfortable and clean. This hotel advertises free Breakfast but the breakfast only consisted of two kinds of dry cereal (I had to ask for milk) and packaged sweet rolls.

We got there during a storm. No tv. No coffee pot no breakfast the next morning and no one at the desk when we checked out. It wasn’t very good. Was there for a funeral

If you stay in the front rooms facing the freeways, expect lots of traffic noise. The hotel needs an update to the rooms and carpets. The room was generally clean but the carpets were very dirty with stains. The desk chair had stains as well. However, the bed was comfortable. The coffee in the room was adequate with only one coffee packet and two packets for creamer and sugar/pink sugar. Overall, I was able to rest for one night before continuing my trip thanks to a PM med. The traffic noise was horrible. LED lighting over the sink was extremely bright!!

During my time at this location, the carpet in my room was very unhygienic to say the least. Although the air conditioning was fine, the heating wasn't operable, which made me and my partner uncomfortable. Personally, I would consider going back to this location, but after checking other options around the area.

If you are looking for an economical stay close to Hobby airport this place is perfect. While the facility was a bit dated, it was clean, the staff were very nice, the bed and linens were comfortable and new. Our room was on the opposite side from Gulf Freeway so it was quiet. There are a variety of restaurants within a miles drive. We didn’t have the free breakfast because we had to be at the airport too early. We would stay here again. Oh and Wi-Fi was free and worked well.

Shower didn't work. Had to call 3 times to request towels. Funky smell.

It was so gross, I didn't even bring my luggage in. I didn't use the pillows, I removed the blanket and bed spread and only used the sheet. At 12:30 am I woke up to 3 gun shots and tires squealing. I was up at 6am and out of there. Please beware.

Service was great, room was clean, parking wasn't bad, just relaxed in the room my wife and I, it was a nice getaway.

We go there a lot and the staff is very friendly. The restrooms are always clean and the only thing was the restroom door was broken but other than that. It's an awesome place

very clean inside and out, room doors open to the outside not the hall, flat screen TV, excellent WIFI service, had to donate batteries to make TV remote work. weak flush toilet, sufficiently updated bathroom, adequate shower, okay bed, not crowded, did not try breakfast.

A very basic motel, undergoing some needed reconstruction. Room was as clean as could be. Proprietor was extremely helpful.

Horribe and nasty inside room. Smelled like cigarettes and carpet was dirty with stains. I checked in and literally checked out in 3 hours. Couldn't stand the smell or the bed was hard. Pillows were stained. Bathroom dirty.

This was by far the worst nights sleep we've ever had. Worse than on the beach in MX over spring break. The freeway noise never ended all night long. Door had been kicked in and didn't shut tight also windows were so noisy it was as if they were open all day.

Nice hotel. The bathroom could've been cleaner. There were a few mold spots and the bathtub didn't appear to be at its cleanest, but I'm a bit OCD. Needed more towels to be available. Other than that, the hotel was nice and comfortable for the most part.

After an extremely frustrating travel day, the hotel room was the pleasant experience of the day. The room was clean and Raj at the front desk was very helpful.

The room was nice and clean but I had to carry my luggage up stairs to the 2nd floor. I thought by booking early, I would get a room, at least, on the ground floor. Anyway, I was able to rest comfortably at this hotel.

Room was old and dingy but clean enough. I also saw a couple of "working women" from the caberet next door hanging around. Wouldn't recommend if you have kids are if you are skiddish about being around "night life". If you only need to stay here for a couple of hours while you wait for a flight at Hobby, I would recommend this hotel. If you want a nice family hotel, I would pass on this one. Don't pay more than $60 a night.

Stayed here in a pinch when there was a mixup with my reservation at another (much more expensive) hotel. I had super low expectations, but it turned out to be surprisingly good for the rock bottom price. Room was very clean. Eager staff. Being between the airport and the freeway, the noise was constant and loud. Fortunately I had earplugs so it was not a problem.

This place was a total wreck. The lock on the door was broken, the vending machine was broken, the walls were paper thin, room was outdated, room faced a freeway exit ramp with the freeway behind it - noisy. The staff person did come to my room to ask me if I'd like him to go to McDonald's to get something to eat since the vending machine was not working.

Clean room. Small price. Continental Breakfast was not much, however the coffee was all we needed.

Great stay

The smell when I walked in was unbearable. I was scared to walk on the carpet without shoes on. To fold the blankets back on the bed, felt like they hadn't been washed in months. Also, the sheets weren't even pulled straight, looked as if someone had slept in them before I entered the room. The "continental" breakfast was a joke....

No ice machine... That was the down side

The hotel service person was very polite. The room itself had a stench of smoke. The pillow covers had stains. There was hair on the pillows and sheets. The hotel needs to be updated. I would not recommend staying at this hotel. It should be rated as a 1 star.

For the price, this hotel was clean and sufficient. It has private entrances, which turned out to be a negative due to the noise of the freeway being right out your front door. It was so loud that it felt like we had the door and windows wide open listening to it. The continental breakfast was basic with cereal, milk, oj, rolls and coffee. If you are on a very low budget and are a heavy sleeper, this motel would be ok.
