Cons: I expect a room with a full kitchen to have at least minimal cookware. This room had nothing: no pot, no plate, no bowl, no glass, no silverware. First time I’ve ever experienced this in a room with a kitchen. It was my first time to stay in this brand of hotel. Pool was padlocked. Could hear everything in room above me. Breakfast same every day & was minimal- coffee, tea, 2 flavors muffins, oatmeal. Only sugar, no artificial sweeteners.

Just location we checked out because of the condition of the place It is outdated, safety is a concern. It wasn’t the cleanest we saw gnats flying around it smelled of bug spray and the air didn’t seem to be working properly, which wasn’t going to work with little kids and someone who fights asthma.

The overall hotel is shabby and somewhat derelict. However, the room was clean and in good condition. More importantly, it was incredibly spacious and well-designed, with extensive amenities. Full kitchen with bar, a real desk for writing, proper couch and extra cushioned chair. Really supportive and comfortable for my purposes. Bed was pretty cozy too.

Wish the kitchen was prepared with a few pots and pans and utensils to cook with. Hard to cook eggs in the morning with a plastic spoon. Maybe have guests check out pans with ID and return after using and cleaning. Garbage cans were being used for some type of construction. No one checked on room after first day so garbage was completely full. Hard to throw away garbage with no cans outside of the room. Floors need to be cleaned better. Appliances in room were old. Had to microwave everything. No hangers when I arrived. TV worked well. Bed was comfy. Nice variety of pillow firmness to please all types of guess. Lighting was comfortable. Location was perfect to where I needed to be. Kroger location was excellent. Staff was helpful.

It was close to the NRG stadium. The lady who checked us in was very friendly. That's all folks!!! 1. The heater/ac only blew cold air and the thermometer didn't work. It was cold at night. I ended up at 2AM going to our car and getting a blanket we happened to have. Too much light coming through the windows at night. You could almost read a book with all the lights out. They were charging for parking for non-guest too make more money and letting people who weren't even staying there to be on the property. Stupidly over priced. This room in another city would be $90-100!!!!!!!! Poor remodel work. Looks like amateurs did it.

Only good things were hot water and cleanliness. Properties really suck when they discriminate because you booked through a 3rd party (xpedia). I mean, aren't we all wanting to save find the best deal?! I've stayed at this property many times and this was the worst experience. Funny, they discriminate because I booked thru 3rd party...that they agreed to; but they'd rather have an empty room? Crazy! Pretty sure this property has changed hands because I saw evidence if refreshing it, but my room was ridiculous! Yes, it had fresh paint and the bed was ok; but absolutely nothing else! Oh, 2 plastic cups...other than that, the kitchen was completely bare! I asked for ice but was told they didn't have an ice machine 😐 ummm, what?! Shower was so-so, BUT the toilet didnt work! Sorry, but NOT sorry for them treating me so poorly!!! I always liked staying here and the price was reasonable, but they are totally nixed from my list now. Will NEVER recommend them!!!

The pictures on the website look great , in person ….. not so much . It smelled terrible on the floor we were put on . It seems to have flooded or something because it smelled like horrible mold and a porta potty combined plus they were ripping out carpet from the rooms all down the hall . There was pieces of ceiling all over the hallway carpet that they decided to start vacuuming at 9 pm right outside our door . The room was so meh . It looked nothing like the pictures . There was rust stains all over the refrigerator, the bathroom fan vent was exposed and looked so gross , the hair dryer looked like a fire hazard ( glad I brought my own ) , there was hardly any water pressure . When we went to take showers we only had 2 towels and wash clothes for 4 people . Our key the room didn’t want to work and the young lady at the front desk wasn’t the nicest and kept saying I must have put the card by my electronics, which I didn’t . She was very rude to the patrons at the counter before me on several occasions I went down there to get my key rekeyed for the room . When we asked for more towels the next day she just handed us some wadded up towels . Every time we walked outside there was someone smoking weed right by our car . The pull out sofa bed was a joke . Prisoners probably have better mattresses . We only stayed a second night because we had to prepay and it was non-refundable . Overall it was a bad experience and I do not recommend at all .

Since this was a suite with a kitchen, I expected dishware and silverware. There was none. There was not even a coffee maker in the room. There was no conditioner. Disappointing.

My stay was from 09/03-09/10. However we had to leave a day early due to the condition. We are from the San Antonio area and my wife is a cancer patient receiving treatment in Houston. Upon our arrival our first room smelled terrible. We thought the room may have just been musty from non use. Unfortunately my wife was in treatment the next day and when I requested a room change I was told it was too late In the day so we had to spend another night in the room. We eventually changed to another room which had no odor. The hallway leading to the room, however had the same nasty odor and our first room. I attempted to find another hotel but due to it being a weekend I could not locate one in the area till the following week. The room was gross. All the sink and tub fixtures had a ring of rust around the metal areas. The appliances were old and the oven temperature numbers were worn off making it impossible to know the setting. The workout room was closed due to numerous mattresses occupying the room. The laundry room had dryers that took credit cards and washers that took quarters. There was no change machine and the desk clerk said they never keep change. I had to leave the hotel to get quarters. I needed to print an important document

Hands down the WORST hotel experience of my life! No breakfast provided, other than mini pre-packaged muffins and a pouch of hot chocolate, not even hot water, no coffee. If you want to exchange towels, you need to bring your dirty towels to the front desk between 7 am and 7 pm. If you need toilet paper, you need to go to the front desk to get yourself. Dirty, smelly, terrible customer service. And there seemed to be several strange people living in the hotel, and a crowd always smoking outside the front door. NEVER again will I step anywhere near that place, no matter how convenient it is to NRG>

The room was dirty with human hair on the floor, bathroom, tub and sink. Doors where coming loose on cabinets and no hangers in the closet and no doors on the closet. The curtain would not close together to block out the light from the parking lot. They have smoking table set up next to the front door that you must walk through to enter the property smelling of smoke. The fire alarm went off in the morning only to find out it was a false alarm. Ya'lll...this hotel is gross. The rooms look nothing like the pictures. I don't have high standards, I just want something that's clean, safe and under $100 a night, but this place looks like nothing has been fully cleaned or renovated since the 70s. The carpet was torn, stained and burned, the walls are scuffed and banged up, everything had kind of a grimy outdated feel. I was scared to touch anything, and literally kept my bag in the fridge as that was the only clean place I could trust. There was this weird pervasive musty smell, and was surprised to see there were no screens or gates on the large sliding 3rd floor windows, as staying in that room for more than a few hours starts to make the idea of throwing yourself out a window seem really appealing.

One thing I did take a bit of an issue with were that there were some street people hanging around asking for cigerettes and one even asked if we could get him a room. It seemed like the hotel staff just allowed them to loiter around the lobby and the property in the evening and that was a bit sketchy. The breakfast is instant coffee and muffins. It is passable. The room was fine but a little improvement and slight investment could go a very long way. Again, not bad but there are a few little things like the no loitering in the lobby that could make this place a little bit more appealing.

It was ok not an excellent experience. Not very friendly, supposed to be non smoking but seems like everyone was smoking inside of the rooms. Fire alarm went on and off for two hours straight, not sure if they were working on it. Great area that has a lot of convenient places walking distance.

Save your money, don’t stay here. The website states it serves breakfast but it does not. The hotel is old and not updated and smelled like marijuana. The worse part is I woke up with several bites on my legs, that really resembled bed bug bites.

Just an overnight stay for me so very sufficient for that purpose. If you’re attending anything at the NRG stadium this is a perfect property. Completely walkable. Walk thru the Holiday Inn lobby across the st and it’s a straight shot to the stadium. Stayed here to see Beyoncé. The water pressure and hot water is perfection at this location. There is a vending machine with drinks and snacks available on the lobby floor. I saw a baby roach in my bathroom but I don’t necessarily blame the property as it was only the one I guess. I’d stay again if attending an event at the NRG stadium in a heartbeat

The room was fine for me, it was cheap and right next to the NRG. It looked like a lot of homeless people hang out in the parking lot. Even the hotel across the street had a gated parking lot. The room thermostat was a fake thermostat and the buttons didn't do anything. I guess the temperature was controlled somewhere else? Not sure. The bathtub faucet was leaking and had to listen to that all night. The elevator was broken and even with my bad back and torn ACL, I had to climb a flight of stairs because they couldn't pute.on.thw ground floor. Would I stay here again? Maybe by myself but definitely not if my wife is coming with me.

This is a very, very rundown property. I usually can deal with that but it wasn't very clean either. The kitchen had nothing (dishes, cups) not even a plastic or paper cup. The unacceptable problem was lack of water. I understand hot water sometimes get used up, and the flow from the shower isn't always great. The kitchen and bath sink knob didn't even allow to select for hot. The shower provided nothing but ice water even through the knob turned. I attempted again early in the morning. All three knobs were loose and probably ready to fall off. No coffee available at breakfast, only got water and tea bags, cocoa mix, muffins and nutrigrain bars. I don't really care about food but need coffee. Many of the hotels in the MD Anderson area aren't the greatest but this is the worst off all of them (I've stayed in most in the past 5 years). The only good thing I can say is the gentleman that checked me in was friendly and professional.

The rooms did not match any of the pictures. We found bugs in the room and the floors had obviously not been cleaned in a while. When you sat down on the bed or moved on the bed it squeaked. The shower was so gross my wife refused to shower for the three days we were there. We expected basic silverware and cups in the room… one small plastic cup was provided and nothing else. There were obvious illicit drug deals happening in the parking lot. The entire hotel smelled of burning marijuana. I would never recommend this hotel to any one and will not stay again

My friends and I traveled to Houston for a football game and picked this hotel because its within a 5 minute walk to the stadium. That's the only good part of the hotel. The room was somewhat clean however, the there was only a few squares of toilet paper left on the roll. The toilet paper holder was close to falling off the side of the vanity. My son and his friend wanted to go to the pool since it was locked with chain and padlocked. It also clearly hadn't been cleaned in a long time. They offer breakfast but it's only small packaged muffins and granola bars. Also, other than the stadium, there's nothing around the hotel worth doing. No bar-b-q places, no breweries or bars.

I arrived late and they did not have another room to offer me for my 5 night stay so I asked to have it cleaned the next day. When I returned in the evening it had not been done so I borrowed supplies and the vaccuum and did it myself. The advertised pool was also not available which was disappointing. My friends and I flew in for a concert stay. We were able to get an early check-in by 1pm which was appreciated. However, that night is when the issues began. We left for dinner that evening and while we were gone the hotel property staff was selling parking spots in the hotel for $20 to random people looking for parking for the event. When we returned there was no parking spots because all spaces were sold to NON-HOTEL GUESTS!!!! Guests of the hotel had absolutely no where to park. Also during the stay we noticed the cleanliness of the room was not up to par due to pills and bags found under the bed. I will say the hotel itself was in a convenient area and the deluxe room we stayed in was accommodating for our party of 3, especially for the price.

The property is old and in disrepair. The night staff was friendly, but could not check us in properly. The weekend staff could not refund the proper amount and had to wait for the manager the next business day. The front lobby smelled and the flooring was removed and has not been reinstalled. The exterior of the property was not maintained, as the grass was knee-high and still had debris from the hurricane. The room itself was OK, but had a dirty dish rag at the sink and clothing under the bed that was not ours. There was a terrible fight on the second floor between between a couple of the guess and kept us up for hours.
