Terrible smell do not book in this hotel for the price they have is not worth it especially for family you wont sleep at all from that smell. And the ac had a loud noise all the time. The staff was terrible from the start they do not accept card payment or tap to pay is cash only, i had to go find ATM at 12am in midnight because they did not accept card.

The bed sheets smelled of bleach-so they appeared clean. The carpet seemed fairly new and not stained. There was a fenced in locked parking. Not being familiar with Houston, I had no idea about this location. The TV worked well. This property is SHABBY to say the least! The door had only the doorknob lock-no safety chain. The sink had no stopper, as well as the bathtub! The tub did appear to be clean, but I wouldn't bathe in there. The walls and ceiling were COVERED with stains. Not being familiar with Houston, I had no idea this was a homeless area. If it had not been so late on a Saturday night, I would have gone to a known hotel. Please do not send anyone else there. I chose this location because it appeared to be close to the church I was going to...but it was not, Also, there was an open space by the window...not covered, The woman that checked me in, was very rude. However, the woman the next day was much friendlier.

The staff was amazing and always available. The coffee area was very nice and well stocked. The beds were comfortable, the AC was nice and cold, the room smelled clean. The room needs updates like the GFI plugs are so old that only 1 would could be used to plug our phone charger in. The others our chargers just fell out when we plugged them in. The bathroom fan was very old and needs to be updated too, it was very tiny and loud to run. There was a large crack under our door that needed a weather strip to keep light and heat out but with luck the AC kept the room cold anyway. Just a waste on electricity for the property.

Great price for a low-budget hotel. It is slightly outdated but very clean, and the pool is wonderful. The staff is nice and helpful.
