It started with us checking in. No one was in the lobby because it was around lunch time, which we understood. My dad went to get coffee after getting off our flight from Richmond to Houston. It was empty. No big deal. I asked about it and the receptionist said she would let staff know. Then she proceeded to ask me if I was ok with stairs. Well, I thought it was weird but yes. We turned the corner and no elevator! Ohhh that's what she meant by stairs. Well, my dad had a bum hip. Still I'm giving them the benefit of the doubt. Meanwhile the hallway and stairs were old and smelly, dim light. We get to the 2nd floor only to have it look like a horror flick. Lights so dim and flickering as we are walking. My mom wanted to turn around but I had reservations, so I proceeded to my room. Turned on the lights next to the door and one bulb was out and the other was very hazy and dim. I proceed to the desk lamp only to get stuck by a sharp pin, no knob. Then I turned to go to the additional room because I had a suite only to find dim flickering lights again. My mom said we need to turn around and leave. We came back to reception and asked if we could cancel the reservation. I then politely explained all the above. She siad we do not advertise elevators as an amenity. I said but there needed to be disclosure that there is no ev

The staff was outstanding, the property is very well kept and clean. The property is walking distance to NRG, which is what we wanted. The property and rooms are old, but still maintained. There were roaches in the hallways, and the property itself is just an older property. We had joining rooms, and both rooms were clean, just older. Not knocking older properties at all, just be aware the property, rooms, and hotel is not new. Microwave is available. Single serve coffee pot is available. There is a refrigerator in the room. TV works, and AC froze me by morning!

It's conveniently situated and very close (less than 10 minutes) to MD Anderson Cancer Center if you want to drive or you can use their shuttle service available from 6:30 am. The management and staff are always available for any suggestions or needs. Though, is an older property, it's kept in good shape. Great value for your money.

Needs a remodel inside and out. Parking was a nightmare due to them allowing rodeo parking for a fee. The night I arrived there was literally one spot left and it was a handicapped spot. They had a shelve/stand that had coat hangers attached, but it was so cheap it looked like they bought it on TEMU and it almost fell on me due to not being attached to the wall or floor.

Our company rented three rooms for a week. Thirty minutes after walking in, we realized how filthy everything was. We pulled up the sheets, and the mattresses were stained with urine, and what looked like blood stains, although I guess it could have been rust stains. I will attach pictures if I am able to. I'm not certain since i've never left a review before. Our company got us new hotel rooms at a different hotel. But this location refused to reimburse the money for the first night, even though we had only been in the rooms for half an hour. This happened on April 19, 2026. The manager was completely unhelpful. And she refused to answer my emails. Every time I called, I was told that she had just left. What kind of manager leaves a hotel for the rest of the day at 9:30 am? I can only assume she didn't want to talk to us.

Property not as described or pictured. The building wasn’t secure because the door was broken. Water was brown and discolored we had to check out pay a nights rate plus taxes and fees. The hotel is in a sketchy area and shares a parking lot with an apartment complex. The patio doors were run down patios very dirty lots of flies and bugs all over. Immediately upon arrival we had to be transferred to another room which wasn’t even better than the first one. It was neater and didn’t have crumbs on the floor and feces on the balcony. We will never return here and after asking around we found out that everyone avoids that hotel.

Breakfast was good and hot! Never made it to the pool. Parking lot was full when we left at 5:30 this morning so that is good for their business. Now they need to reinvest some of it to updating the facilities. Mysteriously all rooms had balconies with sliding glass doors from the rooms to them, and all of the doors were permanently locked closed, so you could not gain access to the rooms patios!

I had to extend my stay at the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo but the hotel I originally stayed at couldn't accommodate me. So, in a pinch, I ran across the Quality Inn just around the corner from NRG Park. I wasn't expecting much considering the price, but they had a room with two queen beds where most others in the area had double beds. The property is older and needs some renovations, but the room was clean, everything was functional, the staff was very friendly. And the included breakfast was decent as well. Our stay was booked at the last minute and if we could we would’ve booked elsewhere. Night one we walked into the room, x2 lights didn’t work. Next day we wake up after heavy rain and the floor is soaked, 1/2 way across the room is saturated. Moved to another room. Curtain doesn’t move properly and has a hole in it. Room has had a smoker in it at some stage. Water damage on floor near entry. Wake up next morning to cockroaches in the bathroom, next to the bed and just walking in through a gap in the doorway as the door is warped. Advise of cockroaches. Bathroom got sprayed. More cockroaches still coming in via gap in doorway. Water damaged wall next to shower, also had cockroaches. Advised staff. Unable to keep moving rooms, some sort of compensation would’ve been nice as the hotel was severely overpriced due to the nearby rodeo. As above. Over hot breakfast room that never had enough food.

The TVs are very small for the size of the rooms too. We stayed just one night but it was very nice and comfy. Bed is great. Room had 2 bathrooms and balconies. The water pressure in the shower was very disappointing though. It barely fell on me. Breakfast was great. Eggs, bacon, sausage, waffles, yogurt, cereal, toast, fruit, oatmeals, oj, apple juice, folgers coffee. And Miriam was amazing and so friendly working it. So polite. The front desk was very polite and quick at check in and check out. One compliant on hotels. Com is I didn't see on here that they charge 100 dollar incidental fee at check in just in case and release if everything is ok. That's something that should be told to us. I know it is in other listings. If I missed it, that's on me, but I've seen it before on other properties. Also, if you are going to the football games. No the shuttle will not take you. But you can leave your car there for a noon game

I have stayed in this hotel many times since I was diagnosed with cancer. It is refreshing to go to a hotel that still has toiletries and breakfast. To go to a hotel that has comfortable beds and soft sleeping sheets it’s comforting. The proximity to Md Anderson and the price is very good. The hotel is old and has been renovated in some areas but needs updating on others. Overall I’ll continue to stay in this hotel.

The room was so moldy and mildewy. We ended up leaving early. We had two rooms that connected and both were mildewy. Someone else that I met in the hall said the second floor wasn’t as bad. I thought maybe the hotel had been flooded at some point but the staff said it’s the humidity and it’s in the carpet. The property has free parking, a nice perk because most hotels in the area charge for parking. Pets are allowed here. An unleashed pitbull followed me around in the hallway, but the owner was apologetic and quickly controlled their pet. The drapes were sooo dusty and had several stains. One bedcover had stains. The location is not very secure and is off a service road. This makes it a little inconvenient to get to. The property is really old and poorly maintained.

The location was so convenient to the NRG stadium saving tons of money on rental cars or parking or ride sharing. Just a 10-15 min walk around the corner. The microwave, AC and fridge worked great and the room was spacious with two clean bathrooms. I recommend it for the location and bare necessities. The entrance to the hotel had part of the stucco damaged but I just figured it was from the humidity. The hotel room itself was not very clean and seemed pretty beat up. The TV was broken, the curtain rod was broken, stains and glitter all over the floor and chairs. Burns marks on the bed sheets, splatters on the wall and lamp shades. We even found used contacts dried on the carpet. It’s like once you looked close enough you could find more and more issues. They all seemed to be more with the room itself needing upgrades vs just lack of cleaning, but a deep clean wouldn’t hurt either. No bugs/pests from our experience. For the price and location and the bare necessities I was glad to have it.

This is by far the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in. The room reeked of mildew, the carpets were old, dirty and smelly, and there was mold all over the bathroom. No one bothered to thoroughly clean the bathroom before I checked in, because there was someone else's hair all over the bathroom. There was no hot water for the bathroom sink, the curtains were dirty, old and had stains all over them and overall the room looked like it needed to be remodeled. I don’t know how this Quality Inn is open, because there’s nothing of quality about this nasty, raggedy hotel and the city needs to shut it down. I was definitely overcharged for my two nights, because there’s no way a room that is in that despicable condition should cost $100 per night. The staff is most definitely scamming people. The entire hotel looks like it’s about to fall apart and it looks like it was built in the 1950s. They haven’t upgraded or remodeled anything in the hotel since it was first built and that should be enough grounds for this place to be shut down. I guess I should be grateful that the shower had hot running water, there were no roaches or bedbugs, but the fact I was charged $100 for that crappy room, is ridiculous and I’m not too grateful at this point. I’m still debating about disputing the charges. The only good thing about this nasty place, was the convenience to the NRG stadium; nothing more and that’s pretty pathetic. I hope this place gets torn down soon. Do not book this hotel!

This is definitely a case of “you get what you pay for”. The roof was cracking in each room, the bathroom door wouldn’t stay closed (there was a gap between the door and the wall so it couldn’t even latch), there were stains on the carpet, the bathtub was cracked. There was full trash bags in the hallway, for our entire stay no one took them out. There were bugs in the breakfast room, maggots in the juice machine.

I got what I paid for. Very affordable & convenient for my appt. All the staff were nice from the front desk to housekeeping. I arrived early, check in is 3:00pm. I called beforehand, asked if I could sit in the lobby of hotel, and if a room became available may I check in early, front desk was kind, said yes. At 11:00 am she notified me that a room was available. I went in the room there is black mold on the bathroom & bedroom ceiling due to moisture is not able to escape the room. The fridge is missing pieces of a shelf and there is no glass bowl on the coffee maker. The smart tv does not connect to WiFi, due to internet being slow, front desk did mention call tech support. I didn’t bother, used my phone. The chairs in the room are dirty and wore down. The ac worked and can become very cold, it can be adjusted. The next morning noticed two baby cockroaches crawling out the bathroom. I had to go to a Dr’s appointment did not have time to notify the front desk. I return, informed the front desk, she said I could move room because maintenance was gone for the day. I decided to stay in the room because if they are in one room they are in another. Later that night noticed a bigger cockroach in the corner near the door. I purchased roach spray and sprayed the room. I do not like nasty bugs and the spray eased my worry. Didn’t eat breakfast or used the ice because of the pest problem. I checked out the following morning.

Unfortunately though that's not all. The fitness room was closed due to renovations with no notice. The outdoor pool, to our surprise, looked wonderful and was lit up well for night swim, so you can only imagine our disappointment when we went to use it and it had a sign that said "Closed until further notice." The fact that the hotel has a pool was why we cancelled another reservation that did not have a pool and booked this one instead, so that was just icing on the cake. For $100/night or more, this is absolutely not worth it, I would expect rates of $49-$59/night. The staff and cleaning staff were extremely pleasant, but that is not enough to overlook the conditions and the homeless who are living at the closed down Denny's in front of the hotel. Do not recommend.

The "suite" is just two old rooms they opened the conjoined room doors for & then split the furniture. It was definitely big and fit our family of 5, so that was okay. But you can tell it was old. One side only had one singular lamp. Half the outlets didn't work. The A/C units worked, but were filled with dirt (and maybe mold?) and falling apart. I booked it for the amenities, only to find out that almost all of them were unavailable. The website states the gym is being repaired. The pool is closed "indefinitely". (The front desk worker said it's on the website, but it's not.) The shuttle to "area attractions" only goes to Medical Center, and doesn't run on at all on weekends. The breakfast was alright. Would have been better if we didn't have to walk our young children past the guest sitting on the balcony and smoking marijuana at 8 in the morning right by the lobby door, but the hotel can't really help that I suppose. The staff was great, but the facilities... whew. As much as they are charging, you would think they would upgrade a little.

We paid a lot of money to stay here for our anniversary and were spoken to very poorly by a staff member. Around midnight we came to the front desk to ask about a parking pass, but were quickly dismissed and brushed off. We spoke to another staff member who escorted us back to the front desk and the woman’s expression changed because she was caught. She tried explaining to the other staff member that we didn’t clearly tell her what we wanted, which is untrue. We were told this particular staff member informed us this isn’t the first time this woman has done this to guests. Her initials are PW and authorization ID is 558.

Didn't even apologize for the inconvenience. The second room the remote for the tv did not work and the toilet stopped up. Please don't stay here if you have a choice.

When the cleaning lady came in, all she did was replace towels. They did not remake the bed. Front staff was very friendly though. If it was a guys trip, it probably would have been ok. Not ok for a couples trip.

I didn't like there wasn't any close stores to buy food or snack or restaurant in walking Districted. The close store or restaurant was like 10 to 15mins away walking. Not everyone drive in the world. But had nice time.
