    I didn't like nothing about hotel When first walked into building there was no air conditioning in building extremely hot the heat hits you straight in the face it's miserable especially when you're coming in from the heat very understaff three people doing all positions of hotel I have thirty years of housekeeping experience I was interviewed for a housekeeping while I was in Virginia was promised a position once I got there was immediately denied I guess because of my race there was never anyone at front desk to help online it said hotel had breakfast there was no breakfast not even coffee pool was close inside smelled like mildew and wet animals I had two rooms one for me and grandkids one for my pregnant daughter and son n law my floor flooded twice due to AC daughter couldn't stay in room due to smell of mold and smell of air conditioner she only stay one day they did try to change rooms but daughter who is eights pregnant got sick and couldn't stay so she left I ask for a refund from Sage the manager property for two years for refund for days that was not uses she told me I couldn't get refund for used days because my daughter refused to switch rooms I don't blame my daughter she's pregnant mold harms unborn babies my daughter left and went into a shelter with my grandkids because she had no where else to go this was a permanent move for us all to Jacksonville Florida one of the onsite construction worker (was very rude and nasty to my daughter was reported to manager nothing was solved I guess she was all for the worker I never received housekeeping service I'm hurt and disappointed that I couldn't get refund from my daughter's rooms the area sucked nothing but trucks and high restaurants and gas stations around I didn't feel comfortable at all in area or hotel I still want my refund for the room that wasn't used Jason and Shell were the best employees there I want my money back from unused room they robbed me of my money place would be better...

    The representative Jason was vey welcoming and very friendly. He goes above and beyond. The only problem I had was the tv didn’t work properly. I couldn’t watch tv. Overall I was pleased with everything else.

They gave me a substitute room and it was crap. And was not worth the price that I paid for the other one. The toilet would not flush half of the time. There was not enough towels or wash clothes in the room and when I went to get more could not find any staff to help.

    First, at checkin there was no one at checkin to give me my room key. It was a wait . I waited for a total of 3hours it was unbelievably the computer was down. So, I had to take a picture.Three pictures, front and two ,two sides. I asked why the picures and I was told this is what we have to do for checkin and their were no keys. You had to be let in by the the personal at the front decks. Their was know one to help me. Wwhen the first person showed up she tried to help but her keys did not work. This worker had to call someone else for to come and help. The next person, help me with checkin. And when I was showed to my room the. Person called to ask if her key would

    I check out 10 mins after I checked in the hotel conditions are unacceptable.. it took 30 mins to check in because there was system issues.. while waiting to check in the desk attendant (I later found out was the manager) keep getting smart with me.. I didn't have a key to my room which is very unsafe.. someone had to walk me up to my room to let me in... the room had roach eggs under the pillow.. I tried to turn on the heated immediately the smoke detector went off.. the only good quality and the only reason I booked with yall was the indoor pool.. which the manager kicked my kids out saying the pool was close.. after that I left the property.. There are some many other things that can be listed wrong with this property but that is the most pressing issues I had. This property should have never been on this site. Your caliber of hotel are 1000 times better then this

    The open indoor area There were no key cards to rooms. The TV wouldn't work in 1 of our 2 rooms and we asked multiple times if someone would look at it but they never did. There was broken glass on bathroom floor that our grandson stepped on and cut his foot. When we reported it the staff acted like it was no big deal! The sheets were dirty on 1 bed. The pool was out of order. And after getting locked out of our room for the 3rd time staff had to take a crowbar to open our door and got snippy with us!

There was a ‘power outage’ so I couldn’t get a key card. So any time I wanted to leave my room I had to ask staff to let me back in or just leave the door open. I went to get breakfast came back and there was no one on site. Not one worker. I waited locked outside of my room for over 2 hours before someone came to open the door. Not an enjoyable experience. And that smell!

    Booked a Double, received a King (we had 4 people in our party) Was informed the hotel was completely booked so our room couldn't be changed. The room and hotel are VERY dated. Photos posted on booking.com look NOTHING like the real space. I booked for the indoor pool which was closed the entire weekend. Our room didn't have a seating area as described within the booking site. There was nowhere to sit other than the bed. Only two towels and two washcloths were provided for 4 guests. Overall, this was a bad experience. I do NOT recommend booking

    Front staff seemed miserable, before we even made it to the room we were engulfed by the smell of Marijuana. There was a large group of people standing by our door smoking weed, listening to loud music, and being very loud when we went to find our room. I’m pretty sure they live there/extended stay. The room itself smelled like a woman’s period, we couldn’t shower because our towels were damp( maybe just not dried long enough, but we were wiling to chance it). Cosmetics of room just really needed to be better, I wouldn’t walk around in that room barefoot.

    The only good thing about my stay was the front desk staff was very nice and the hot shower!!! Ok now the bad thing , so upon checking in I was told my total of my room and then I was informed that the room deposit would be $100 (looking crazy ) I let the nice Andy know that I was sene a email that stated the deposit was $50!! So she began to state that no it’s $100! So I let her know I was not happy bout it and that she needs to let her boss or yet the owner that I was sent a message by their hotel not a 3rd party company stating my deposit was $50 ! Ok boom so once we got that out the way me and my friend got the key and headed to the room . Sooo when we went in the room of course I did a walk through and what did my eyes see , we had no shower curtain, no towels, washcloths, cups,ice bucket, coffee maker oh and multiple roaches crawling around on the table and floor!! Went back to the front desk to let the ladies know I had no towels in the room and shower curtain and roaches !! I get a sad apology and was told they might not have any towels (looks crazy again) so boom fast forward she managed to find us 2 towels, 1 wash cloth (tragic!!) next issue , me and my friend stepped out the room and when we tried to get back in the room some mysterious way the security latch gets hooked onto the door to where we couldn’t even get into our hotel room so we had to get the lady at the front desk to go find some type of Jimmy object to open our door which caused us to have to stand

    Noone was at front desk for checkout. Keys not made at check in. Had tp return after hour's and clerk claimed key machine working. Keys made day after checkin and did not work first 10minutes I attempted to open door.     Christina is truly accommodating & gracious! When I arrived, late at night, the reception area was full. She took her time & took care of everyone. I wasn’t aware this is a transient hotel. The 1st room I was assigned to was full of cockroaches. Christina changed my room to an inner room. The ac unit in this particular room didn’t cool the room enough for me. This side of the building was undergoing renovations. Lastly, I woke up to cockroaches in the room.

    The room was dirty and smelled really strong of animal odor. There was ceiling tiles falling from the ceiling. Dirty dog prints behind the door and scratch marks. The comfortable had not been washed in a very long time. And the floor had stains all over, wasnt mopped or swept.

    I am very surprised that Expedia would allow a hotel like this one to be on their website! There were people hanging out in the parking lot smoking marijuana in cars and bicycles! I felt very unsafe and uncomfortable for me and my family and for the safety of my vehicle. The parking lot was dirty with hundreds of cigarette butts on the ground in the parking lot. It’s no wonder that this hotel offers no refunds. They know that many people like myself will not stay there once they see the condition of the property. Luckily I left and demanded a full refund and the guy at the front desk said he couldn’t give me one and I had to contact Expedia. I contacted Expedia and filed a complaint. I have never experienced anything like this before in all the years I have been booking with Expedia. This experience has caused me to lose trust booking with Expedia. I had to find another hotel and did not book it through Expedia based on the experience I had with Stayable Jacksonville West! Never again will I ever consider staying at this Hotel or recommending it to anyone! Unfortunately I didn’t read all the negative reviews of this hotel until after I decided to cancel my reservation. Thank you Expedia for giving me and my family the worst night of my life in this unsafe hotel!!! Never again will I book a hotel that doesn’t offer refunds. This nightmare for me ended quickly when I refused to stay there and thank God that I did. I don’t believe that my vehicle would be safe!

    Understaffed, check in was at 4 we weren’t able to get checked in until almost 6 o’clock due to troubles with other guests, trying to check in and rooms not being clean on time. We were trying to go to a different hotel, but was unable to find one which is why we ended up coming back in the room still wasn’t ready. Somebody went in there and actually cleaned it on the spot for us. He was awesome. We don’t know his name. It was even his birthday. Lol this company is stressing these people out.!!

    The manager was on top of any problem you might have. They are limited on sraff, the staff they have with be happy to help. We had an issue with the A/C unit. The front desk lady even let us use a fan for the night. The maintenance man Nate was there early and fixed the problem. The manager Mandy is great. She will answer any of your question. Our last visit to the area was very disappointing and we stayed a supposedly 5 star place. Paris we are disappointed. So if you are going to Jacksonville and need a good place to rest. Don't lesson to the other reviews.

    I dont want this review to beat them up too much which is why i gave them 3 stars. However, it seems as though they are slowly(very very slowly) renovating this place. As it stands, it looks like a very nice family hotel from the 70's that has had really no change since then. Sadly, at this point, it seems as though the hotel is currently mostly used as a low budget long term stay for the less fortunate. It happened to be one of the only rooms available in the city due to people that were evacuating from other places due to the storm. They didnt seem to be used to a full house and when we checked in they said they only had one person cleaning rooms so we would have to wait more than 30 minutes for thw room to be ready. When we finally got in the room it was clean enough i guess but felt dingy. The tv had no remote, there was a roku hooked up that appeared to be new because it needed to be set up and the box it came in we found in a drawer, and there were no towels. Asked for that stuff at the desk and eventually all was rectified. They were completely under staffed. The staff that was there seemed over worked but were still trying to meet the needs of the guests as best they could. There was no option for food on site aside from some vending machines. I believe the place has potential once it has had a very deep clean and remodel. But if you are looking for a nice hotel for a stay in jacksonville, i would pass on this place unless you were put of options.

    The place was very unsafe. The entire building was dirty and strong smell. The bedroom had mildew, the bathroom door did not close properly, only 1 towel was provided for a reservation for 3 adults. The bedroom floor was very dirty. It was a terrible experience. I booked 4 nights and only stayed the first one because it was too late in the night to leave.

    Check in was okay. The lady at the desk seemed exhausted. My room was ready at 4 when I checked in but I was told I didn’t have towels in my room but someone would bring them. Never got them. Room was clean enough and comfortable. I left a day early because the other residents were loud and I needed to shower.

    It was during a hurricane so wasn't expecting much but check in couldn't check in till 4pm and no one at front counter till around 10 pm couldn't check out. I think they have one guy doing all the check in and checking out but like i said during a hurricane might just been hurricane issues

    Place is going through renovations and remodeling which was acceptable. However, the non smoking room smelled like smoke beforehand and since i accepted it " AS IS ", my $100 deposit was confiscated by the hotel management because at checkout the room smelled like smoke. THE IRONY right!!!

    Took too long to check in because there was no staff at the front desk. Room was good but there was no washcloths and toilet didn't flush properly. Went to office and door was locked. Notified staff that I would like a couple of washcloths. When I left I still had no washcloths. Luckly I had my own.

    The smoke smell was really bad. I have to wash all the clothes I had with me twice. The towels appeared to be dirty and had hair through them, I used my dirty beach towel instead. I had a two night stay, but didn’t sleep there the 2nd night. For a few more dollars go somewhere else. The price was right on this one, but I do not recommend reserving a room here. I wish I would have read the other comments first before booking, but…. Lesson learned. I did respond to Stayable directly to relay these issues, but the comments were the same as the comments on the other posts. That my feedback is important and that they will use it to improve, but I doubt it. Seriously, pay a few more bucks and go somewhere else

    check in took about 20 minutes due to new employee working by herself and every so often a lady would come in and help and then leave. Internet ad listed a breakfast and the clerk said there was no breakfast. In room the hair dryer was taken off wall and there were not enough towels and rags and desk said we would have to pay for more towels. Floor was very dirty with dog hair

    Property was disgusting! got there an hour after check in and my room was dirty. They allowed me to pay everything and check in before even letting me know that my room wasn’t ready. Connie the manager i assume made it seem like it was my problem that her staff didn’t come in as they were supposed to. I was informed I should just cancel and try to get a refund by one of her front desk staff so that should definitely tell you about the property. I wouldn’t let my dog sleep here if I had one.

    Took an hour to get checked in. The shower/bath didn’t work, the floor was dirty dirty to the point where my children’s feet turned black and just overall was not comfortable. I had stayed in this exact hotel when it was a Quality Inn and it was so much better then. I’m not sure what happened.

    When I first arrived the room I had was horrible they had no cover on bed nor any towels ….I asked lady on duty she stated oh yea we don’t have nothing in laundry and I asked her why would they give me a room that was in this condition she brushed it off ….I then moved to inside room where I asked to go thinking it was better room ….The lady think her name was Brittany helped me which I got up charge fee for free but overall it’s nasty and everything is broke …but I heard the lady at front desk say you get what you pay for

    The room was dirty, hair all in the in tub, the front desk is never available. The hotel was very mid leading. The tv didn’t work. Lightbulbs were blown. The floors in the room were disgusting. I didn’t see not one house keeper the entire stay. Then I was given an “upgraded” room because the room I booked for always actually sold out so they accommodated me with a “better” room for the same price. Which still the room wasn’t the best. So I wanted to extend the stay because my apartment wasn’t quite ready and when I went to extend the stay they charged me for the rate of the room I was accommodated too, instead of letting me keep the same rate because I didn’t ask for the upgraded room it was given to me and the hotel owner would not accommodate. Do not book here! People can come in the hotel from the outside without having a key. It’s very unsafe here .

    Very very disappointed with this hotel. You charged me 50$ for a period stain on my bed sheet. Something as females we absolutely can NOT control. Then there’s no one around to get new bed sheets, so I got charged 50$ to sleep on my period blood. But I bet you don’t charge people for their semen stains. Do better!

    Every time I have stayed at this hotel. The staff is always friendly and quick. It’s always clean and plenty of towels and space. Lots of parking and convenient to many food places. I love that they cater to the people who smoke especially since it’s cold outside. It’s very quiet as well no people yelling or hanging around.

    I did not stay there because the front desk told me that the rooms were over booked and he could not offer me another room because the payrate that i purchase the room for was less than the price of the rooms available. He was not welcoming, he argued with hotel.com customer service when they spoke with him in the phone to try to resolve the issue.

    Pros: Alot of restaurants near you, Room is very Big. Cons: Walls are very thin; you can hear everything from the other rooms. Rooms floors were super dirty looks like they have swept or mopped them in forever. Bugs we didn't see them but when we came back to the room after night our we had roach skin on our pillows and on the ground. Used Condoms in the parking lot. Seems like a lot of people had a good time. My final verdict if you want cheap place & don't care about what I said above its for you. If you have a family I Wouldn't stay here.

    Guy at check in could not find the room key, long process. The room had all the lights on and looked as it had been used. We asked for another room and he could not get us one he said, although not many cars there at 9:30pm. We left and had to find another hotel.

    The young woman who attended us was very kind and helpful, and the inside pool area was very interesting! But I have never been to a hotel or motel that doesn’t have cable tv. Found that very odd and no where in the booking does it mention the unusable tv. The room floor also had a very weird stickiness to it and the bathroom was unclean. I was only there one night, so it wasn’t a big deal but definitely things to look out for

    Avoided all costs. They don't even provide television for God's sake. It's kind of reminding me of South Central LA except more ghetto... If you ever reservation here run! If your work got you a reservation here, slap your boss quit and then run!, and if your spouse got you a reservation here, check your life insurance benefits because they're looking to kill you. I feel like the time you're taking to read this is time you should spend running...

    This property is mostly empty and not used. We were told they are going to start remodeling. There are a large number of permanent residents. (Tenement housing Comes to mind).The first room we were given had a broken deadbolt. They moved us to another room. There are televisions but they will NOT work because the facility doesn’t have cable or antennas. The air conditioner barely kept the room at a tolerable level. They do not have personnel manning the desk except from 9am - 4 pm. You had to call them and then wait for them even during 9-4. We had to ask for a shower curtain. The floor was dirty. This is probably not where most short term users should stay. The owners should spend time here to see what is going on and the state of the facilities.

    Once reservation was confirned received a call from front desk advising they're closing early. After check-in, I proceeded to room however keycard wouldn't work. I went back to front desk and no one was there or answered phone. I waited an hour before leaving.
