Fabulous view of New York City. Staff are beyond friendly! Room was very comfortable.

Best location for public transportation. Room was big, clean and love the crabtree and evelyn shampoo and conditioner. Left an earring after we checkout, the lost and found department was very helpful, we went back and Sayed was already waiting for us. Thank you so much Sayed! Downside was having to pay extra for parking. Overall it was a good place to stay. We will recommend this hotel to our family and friends.

Hotel is in a very convenient area. Lots to do and easy to get around by car or public transportation. Great restaurants in the area as well. Some things in the room we’re looking a little run down and old. The sofa’s cushions were all damaged. The wall paper in the bathroom was peeling.

Super close to subway station. Big enough room for 2 parents and 3 big kids. Close to shopping center and restaurants. The console between beds didn’t seem to work … The alarm clock was running off batteries, the lamp wouldn’t turn on, the outlet didn’t charge phones. Unfortunately, I forgot to mention to staff.

We were in room 303 which is directly above the light rail train, Between the noise from the light rail, the noise from the heat that kick on and off all night and a toilet that was running and the tub faucet that dripped all night, it wasn't a restful night.
- 5/5
We had a great stay. Front desk staff was so nice, helpful, and welcoming. Service was outstanding. Room was clean. Hotel was located close to city transportation.

Did not feel comfy using pre paid breakfast... 625usd per night, though.

Really enjoyed our stay and liked the location (near PATH station for easy access to Manhattan). Rooms are a great size and staff are great. Only reason for the mark down is that as three adults sharing I was using the sofa bed, which wasn’t very comfortable.

- 2/5
The property was clean, and very nice room. I didn’t like the fact that it said they had a pool and they didn’t. I don’t like the fact that the property charges for parking for guests and it’s also expensive. I don’t like the fact that some staff at the front desk are not very nice.
- 5/5
Beds comfy
- 5/5
Loved the room, the view, and the ammenities. Will definitely book again in the future.

I travel frequently for work and have had good experiences at a Doubletree before. This was my first trip to the Jersey City location. My initial impression of the hotel is that the staff seemed very friendly, though the facility itself was very outdated and shabby. The lobby and elevators smelled bad…like BO and old food. My hotel room was very clean but had a musty odor. I dealt with it the first night but after a rainy day the second day I was disappointed to come back to the room after my work day to a very musty/moldy and damp room. I called the front desk and they sent maintenance. The maintenance employee immediately commented on the strong musty smell and dampness in the room. Even the carpets felt wet. He determined the that the ac/heat unit under the window was the culprit, likely worse due to the rain all day. He let me know that he would let the front desk staff know of the issue, stating he thought they would likely give me another room. Later he returned, very apologetic, that he had talked to the front desk staff and they could not move me due to the hotel being full. At this point I just turned on the heat (in July heat) to try to dry up the room a little bit. This was mildly effective. I was up frequently through the night because the smell was so strong and random people knocking loudly on my door in the early morning hours. I finally just got up and went into the office to get away from this hotel. Will not return.
- 4/5
Spacious and clean
- 5/5
We enjoyed our stay at the Doubletree in Jersey City. It was easy to find and to access. It was centrally located. The staff was great, especially the front desk staff. We will stay there again in the future. Thanks so much!
- 4/5
Nothing exceptional about the property. Close to lite rail. Service in dining facility great during breakfast but lacking in lunch and dinner. Limited menu items.
- 5/5
Wonderful and friendly staff. Very helpful. Thank you so much.
- 5/5
Beautiful area with plenty of restaurants, train station, water front
- 4/5
Location was great and safe. Ladies at the front desk were incredibly friendly and helpful. Room was perfect. Only complain would be that the beds and pillows just atent very comfortable, and the breakfast is widly overpriced for mediocre food.
- 5/5
.
- 5/5
The ladies at the front desk were friendly, sweet, and top notch. The walk to the subway to get into NYC is close. We felt safe around the hotel.
- 5/5
Amazing experience. Really professional front desk and the same time really sweet and care for our comfort.
- 5/5
Great hotel and staff were fantastic!
- 5/5
Frony desk staff was very helpful and professional.
- 5/5
The skyline view was perfect! Beware the extra deposit of $100 per night.
- 5/5
Location was convenient and walkable.
- 1/5
The front desk staff were very helpful. As for the room, the bathroom sink was leaking and smelled moldy.
- 4/5
I had a great time. The staff was friendly, the hotel was quiet. Situated near a mall.i actually went to celebrate my birthday solo and enjoyed every minute of it. Stayed in a junior suite, quite comfortable and clean.
- 1/5
The water quit working then was asked to leave wasn’t even checked in for a full 24hrs
- 5/5
I have younger children. This is the only hotel we have gone to where they were welcomed in such a heartwarming way. My kids loved everyone there not just the staff but the other people staying there. We will be booking at this doubletree for every visit to Jersey from now on. Thank you to everyone for all you do.
- 5/5
My favourite things about this hotel were the staff, the cookies, the comfy pillows, the proximity to Manhattan transport and the cookies
- 5/5
The front staff was so friendly and helpful. The room was clean and spacious. On site parking was convenient. Great location!
- 1/5
My room was not done, even though I left the room at 11:30am and to out my DND sign. The front desk told me that once you put a DND sign, they will not do your room, even if you take it off. This had never happened to me in any other hotel
- 5/5
Convenient
- 4/5
Friday evening when we checked in, the staff was very friendly and welcoming.
- 5/5
Nothing to mention
- 5/5
I always enjoy doubletree. I appreciate the amenities, the cookies and the customer service.
- 5/5
Great staff, very friendly!
- 5/5
The room was clean and comfortable. We arrived late in the evening and the staff helped make parking and checking in quick and convenient.
- 5/5
Clean- convenient- and very accommodating for a business trip and having to do some extra work
- 5/5
My flight landed pretty early and I stayed in the lobby for a while waiting for people to check out to see if I can get a room so I can go to my friends Grand Opening. And they gave me a room as soon as it was clean. And it was one of the nicest hotels and rooms. Thank you guys so much! It was amazing!
- 2/5
Didn't get the type of suite we normally get. But initially they said no room were available yet. Then they said we have a suite for you. But we Didn't like it. Not satisfied . And the sink had a slow drain.
- 5/5
Excellent service.
- 5/5
Staff was excellent! When my son’s Christmas toy ran out of batteries, one of the workers went on a mission to find us some and deliver them to our room! Made my kid’s day!
- 5/5
Room was simple and modern and clean. Calm and convenient. Worth for price.
- 5/5
It was wonderful
- 5/5
Thank you especially to Olano and Mildred!
- 5/5
Perfect stay for the purpose of our visit to the area
- 4/5
The front desk was delightful. I wouldn't suggest dining in their restaurant. The wait staff (Kat) is rude and unwelcoming. The silver lining to my experience with the waitstaff was that I discovered some great sushi restaurants within a few blocks of the hotel. The room was lovely but the bathtub needs to be refinished, it was in disrepair.
- 5/5
Friendly staff
- 5/5
Excellent room, very spacious and clean. We did not eat there so cannot comment on food . Good location, garage parking, friendly staff.
- 5/5
This was such a great hotel. Easy to get into the city. Hotel was comfortable and service was outstanding. I really enjoyed my stay here and the staff are incredible.
- 5/5
Front desk associates (day and night) always professional, pleasant and welcoming.
- 5/5
I really enjoyed my ,stay
- 5/5
Some staff were very helpful and some were not at all. It depended on who you got at the time as to how helpful and nice the staff were.
- 5/5

- 4/5
Quiet
- 5/5
Great place to stay and convenient to the subway the “Path” that you can take into New York City for $2.75 for a one way ticket. Very quiet and peaceful location to stay in and a shopping mall very close by. The Hilton gives you cookies that are wonderful!
- 4/5
Location was nicw
- 5/5
Convenient location in Newport JC.
- 5/5
Was really good!
- 3/5
Spacious clean room, quiet, very close to Newport mall, path train and dining options. Microwave not working, body wash bottle was empty not refilled, bed sheets for sofa bed missing. Most staff friendly except for the lady at front desk for check in. During our check in, she seemed distracted, and kept talking to another group people in the lobby. Both room keys she issued did not work opening the parking gate, had to drive down to get keys reissued.
- 1/5
This is completely unacceptable and reflects a shocking lack of responsibility and customer care. Mistakes happen, but the refusal to take immediate action to fix the error shows a disregard for guests' time and money. DoubleTree is supposed to stand for quality and professionalism, but this experience was anything but. I will not be staying here again and will think twice about trusting this brand in the future. To anyone considering this hotel: beware of how they handle billing issues.
- 5/5
Great property, outstanding views and amenities. Service staff was great
- 5/5
Thanks so much for everything! You made my stay amazing.
- 5/5
Good location.
- 4/5
Front desk clerk was very friendly, welcoming, and efficient.
- 5/5
The staff were super helpful.
- 4/5
Great hotel! First time in NY and this hotel was perfect away from the noise after a long day in time Square.
- 5/5
Loved the property will definitely be staying again in the near future
- 4/5
I would have appreciated tea-making facilities (not just coffee) and making an extra charge for water seemed unnecessary.
- 5/5
Best stay ever!
- 5/5
NICE AND FRIENDLY STAFF, BUT BREAKFAST CLOSES AT 9 AM ON MONDAY SO WAS A LITTLE INCONVENIENCED THERE BUT EVERYTHING ELSE WAS GREAT.
- 5/5
Desk clerks were excellent, professional and friendly, check in went smoothly.
- 4/5
The Hotel is very decent! It got cleaned every day which was amazing. Rooms were good but washroom especially the bathtub was worn out a bit. The Reception could use a bit more friendly greeting to the guest. Apparently you can get there free coffee and tea but nobody informed us and neither it was stated anywhere. Apart that all we had a very good stay. Around Hotel so many convenient stores and transportation. The View to Manhattan is the most breathtaking one.
- 5/5
Room was very clean, I loved that they took care of our luggage since our flight arrived early in the morning. Front desk people were so nice and made everything easy! Thank you guys.
- 5/5
The staff was very kind
- 4/5
Spacious suite rooms, good facilities, clean and excellent service.

I booked a suite for my mom and I for Tuesday August 27th until the 28th . I called the night before to request an earlier check in time because 4pm is late . My mom just got out of surgery so she would need a room to rest earlier . They told me call back in the morning of my reservation. I called and spoked to Tabitha who said we can check in earlier . I said we would be there at 2 coming from the hospital. Once we got there an Asian woman was at the desk and was extremely rude and said check in was at 4. I told her I requested earlier and Tabitha happened to be there and confirmed . Gave us our room but felt very unwelcome. Then I went down and asked for more blankets . An hour had passed and nobody came . I called the front desk and the Asian woman again said we are busy u can come down yourself and get it. I told her I can’t leave my mom alone and I do not work here . I am so disappointed at how this woman is representing the Hilton name. It’s already a stressful enough time for my family and I . We need accommodations not nasty attitudes. I will never spend my money here again!!! 0 stars not hospitable at all! Don’t ever spend your money here !
- 5/5
Amazon service will be returning again
- 5/5
The housekeeping staff was amazing. The came at least once a day
- 5/5
Great staff. The woman who works the overnight shift gets 5 stars!
- 3/5
I liked the views. Parking sucked. Then having to pay to park in garage. Then getting stuck in garage and no one to help you.
- 4/5
Excellent location for visiting Jersey City and Manhattan. There's an excellent river walk with the best views of the Manhattan skyline just steps away. You can hop on a train to anywhere within 5 min walking distance or hop on your bike or rent a city bike to explore. If you're traveling with a family, the rooms are very spacious and has everything you need.
- 5/5
We arrived early to the hotel since we were only staying for one night and wanted to enjoy the city. The hotel allowed us to park & go! When it was time to check-in we were greeted with warm cookies. Our room was spacious and overlooked the city. The room was clean and inviting. Every employee we encountered was friendly. We will be sure to stay again!
- 5/5
The hotel was walkable to a number of restaurants. Check in was a breeze. Only negative for me was the daily parking fee. For the nightly room rate, parking should have been complimentary for hotel guests.
- 5/5
I had a great experience. The woman that greeted my partner and I in the lobby was very professional, well spoken, got to the point, answered all our questions. Make sure when you arrive, to make a left to park, do not make a right into the parking garage ($30 parking). The location is great, only a block away from a wonderful view of New York City. The only thing that I would change is since that we paid $300 for the room (single bed), it should at least come with a refrigerator with free drinks. Furniture was comfortable, and room was sparkling clean. Walls are a bit thin, we easily heard people in the hallway but the TV was loud enough to distinguish the noise. Overall great experience and would recommend a nights stay.
- 5/5
The property itself is awesome, huge and clean room. Everyone was super hospitable, that’s why this male front desk staff stood out when I asked if my hilton honors number can be added to my stay. He very rudely asked, “did u use a 3rd party?”, and when I was about to explain that other hotels credited me anyway, he just turned away. We checked in on 7/27/24.
- 3/5
Its not as good as the DT in Reading Pa. Parking lot is difficult to navigate around it.
