This was an outstanding bed-and-breakfast and we love it so much. We stayed in it again on our trip back home. The breakfast were amazing and the staff were so helpful. It was almost like we weren’t traveling at all.

This was our 4th stay. Tina is amazing, helpful and genuinely cares about the guests! Breakfast is always a gourmet treat! Highly recommend !

The Antietam Overlook Inn is a wonderful B&B perfectly situated on a hilltop in the Maryland Piedmont, just minutes away from Antietam Nat'l Battlefiield, Sharpsburg MD and Shepherdstown WV. The wilderness setting is stunning -- I saw more wildlife in one hour drinking my morning coffee than I saw in an entire day in Shenandoah Nat'l Park. The staff prepared a delicious communal breakfast for the 3 couples staying that night along with us. Great for pets -- they have a Frenchie, a farm cat and an African Gray parrot. While we only stayed one night, I would absolutely return to this beautiful part of Appalachia for an extended stay.

I came in before dark - difficult day of traveling and very hungry. The owners were out, but a guest who stays there many times showed me around and introduced me to the other guests in the living room. I was so impressed with the decor and cozy environment. There was a fridge in the hallway where you can place your refrigerables in and you can tap into the free white wine A nice Keurig was present with a great selection to choose from. Snacks were present and very well welcomed. Breakfast was served at nine. We all sat comfo rtably together and the hosts provided us a wonderful meal.

The mountain view was spectacular. The innkeeper prepared an excellent breakfast.

My boyfriend and I really enjoyed our stay at Antietam Overlook Farm! We had never stayed at a bed and breakfast prior to this trip which made it a cool and unique experience to have our first experience here.

Wow what a cute bed and breakfast… pictures of the facility don’t do it justice you must book! I recently stayed for 2 nights. Once we got to the inn we drove up this adorable driveway surrounded my trees breathtaking, then we were greeted at the door by the sweetest woman named Tina, she showed us the ground with amazing views, once we entered into the house it was adorable cozy and well taken care of. Tina did a tour and every inch was decorated with such taste, then we went towards our room we stayed in the Generals quarters, this room did not disappoint! The view spectacular!!! The inn is super clean and the beds are comfortable the staff is sweetest…they even have a Frenchie named “Truman” that lives in the house, super friendly and adorable… I cannot wait to book with them again…

Staff went overboard to make you feel welcome. Everything was cozy and. clean

Wonderful from start to finish! The breakfast were amazing, fresh and delicious! The views are unsurpassed. The rooms are extremely comfortable as was the rest of the property. If you were staying in the area, look no further.
- 5/5
The best breakfast at any B&B ever with excellent service. Nice comfortable room very clean.
- 5/5
I cannot say enough good things about my stay! Staff was welcoming, hospitable and attentive!
- 5/5
We stayed here for two nights while we explored the historical sites in the area. It was clean, quiet, and comfortable, and the staff members were great. Our favorite part of the experience was the breakfast!
- 4/5
WiFi was not stable. Couldn’t watch a movie on Netflix without frequent buffering. We were in one of the larger rooms—it was fine, but rustic with strange lighting and not worth the over $350/night to stay. $275, yes, but more than that? No.
- 5/5
A place to relax, watch the stars or enjoy a soak in the tub - this is a warm and welcoming place to come. From Tina welcoming us at door, the cozy breakfast room, and spectacular views. Come and enjoy the view and the history of the area.
- 5/5
This is a cosy Inn/Bed and Breakfast.. rooms very clean, done with stunning views over the valley and hills and mountains beyond. Tina was brilliant and so helpful and friendly. Breakfast was just awesome. Top cuisine! Thank you...sad it was only one night.
- 5/5
Enjoyed a 2 nite stay here while attending CATF theatre festival in Shepherdstown. Enjoyed the outdoor hottub after biking on C&O Canal towpath, and fantastic country breakfasts. Views to the west over Antietam battlefields are spectacular! Hosts couldn’t have been more welcoming, including the talking parrot!
- 5/5
Gorgeous view, wonderful hostess, Tina and fantastic breakfast by Tina and Carol. Can't say enough good things about this place.
- 5/5
Beautiful location and setting.
- 5/5
Beautiful Property and scenic views. I would highly recommend.
- 4/5
Tina was very helpful and went above and beyond to do extra things to make sure we were comfortable. There are something’s that needed to be repaired (sliding lock on porch door and loose toilet seat) and the lighting in our room was so dim especially in the bathroom that when you pulled the shower curtain closed you were practically showering in the dark!. The setting is beautiful there! However, you are out in the country and it is a drive to get to local restaurants.
- 5/5
Gorgeous property nestled in an area steeped in hundreds of years of crucial US history. The property is clean, the views are spectacular, and the staff is helpful and accommodating.
- 5/5

- 5/5
The views were beautiful. Host was awesome. The staff was superb. Highly recommend.
- 5/5
Magical. Lots of little touches including a talking bird. Recommend bringing a bathrobe if you plan on using the hot tub.
- 5/5
Tina was so sweet! Breakfast was delicious. It was fun meeting new people at breakfast.
- 5/5
What a lovely bed and breakfast. The room was everything we hope for that we were sorry it was too cold to use the small deck area provided in that room. The breakfast was perfect, conveniently located to several wineries and antique shops.
- 5/5
What a gem! Absolutely stunning bed and breakfast with amazing views. Such a wonderful experience and we can't wait to stay again in the future.
- 5/5
First time staying at this property. It was for my wife’s birthday. The property has an incredible view of the valley in the Frederick area. It’s a great spot to disconnect and get away from the city and relax. Room was clean, big and had lots of light. Enjoyed the screened patio relaxing and looking at the amazing views. The host was very nice and informative. I would recommend staying here to anyone!
- 5/5

Antietam Overlook Farm is a beautiful old house in excellent condition, with extensive indoor and outdoor relaxing space. Our room was large, comfortable, antique furnished, and had a small adjoining screened porch with extremely comfortable chairs for enjoying the absolutely spectacular view across the valley below, including the sunset in the mountains many miles away. And the staff are the nicest most helpful people!
- 5/5
We loved this bed and breakfast! The staff was so nice and the food delicious. There is plenty in the area to do. We only stayed for 1 night but booked 3 nights in November already. We went to Hollywood Casino the night we stayed and had a great time. Can't wait to go back! Looking forward to seeing the leaves changing...
- 5/5
My husband and I enjoyed a very relaxing stay at this charming place-just wish we had been able to stay longer.
- 5/5
The property was absolutely beautiful. When we decided to stay another night they were very accommodating, and moved us right over to another room. The views from the porch were spectacular. I would definitely stay here again. It was just what I needed.
- 5/5
The room was comfortable and private with lots of amenities and tons of unique charm. Each room has its own private porch where you can relax and enjoy the beautiful view. The property is located with in minutes of great resturants, pubs, wineries, hiking trails and Antietam battfield park. The staff was fantastic and the breakfast was delicious. We will absolutely be staying again.

- 5/5
Very nice property. The room was heavenly
- 5/5
We had an amazing time staying at the farm house and cannot recommend it highly enough. Wonderful hospitality, great food, and gorgeous accommodations. The only very slightly minor issue was sometimes it was hard to get enough hot water going, or without waiting too long for it. Can’t wait to come back someday!
- 4/5
Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The property is well furnished and the breakfast delicious. They could have kept the access to the car charging stations available.
- 5/5
It was amazingly wonderful. The place is gorgeous and the staff was great.
- 5/5
What can we say, the property was absolutely amazing top to bottom. The gated entry, the cleanliness of the room, the coziness of the entire home was truly amazing. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable. We loved the birds and especially Truman, their French bulldog. We highly recommend staying at the overlook.
- 4/5
The scenery was beautiful, especially in autumn. The staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good. My only complaint was the temperature in the room. The heat was on all night, presumably to keep the downstairs rooms comfortable, but it was extremely warm upstairs. We had to open the windows to sleep.
- 5/5
We enjoyed getting to know the other guests in the parlor with a roaring fire. The parrots are a hoot, and very entertaining.
- 5/5
Beautiful room, comfortable bed, wonderful property. Lots of places to sit, relax and enjoy the quiet. Breakfast was very tasty.
- 5/5
My Wife and I had a mini-getaway at this B&B. It was a very pleasant experience. Clean facility, amazing Mountain views, wonderful and friendly staff. We would highly recommend this place. We will be staying again in the very near future. 5 stars!

This place is a gem! We had booked for one night on our trip home from a 50th college reunion. The B&B staff made checkin a breeze. The room was super clean and absolutely beautiful. We had a private porch overlooking the sunset. The staff made us feel welcome. And we were served a magnificent breakfast in the morning. We will be booking Antietam Overlook as our destination next year!

- 5/5
Excellent place to stay! The view is amazing and the staff very friendly made you feel at home!

We had a wonderful time visiting many historic sites in the area. The Bed and Breakfast was very comfortable and gave easy access to areas we wanted to travel to. The room itself offered a beautiful view and was very comfortable. We enjoyed ‘conversing’ with the parrot😊 As for the staff, they were wonderful and enjoyable to be around. They offered a nice variety for breakfast - everything tasted GREAT!
- 5/5
The location of this property is so unique and spectacular!

There’s a parrot that talks which is cool and a cat on the property. Complimentary first round of beer, and otherwise available with a small suggested donation. Rooms were cute and homey.

A lovely and unique B&B with gorgeous views and solitude. Lots of character and amenities - whether it's enjoying a cup of coffee, glass of wine or beer on one of the screened in (yay no bugs) balconies or enjoying the company of others in the comfortable common area. Of course, the soaking tub is a great way to unwind.

The Antietam Overlook Farm Inn is an amazing place to stay. The Inn is located on a hill with a gorgeous view. And it's still close to Sharpsburg. The staff were very welcoming when we arrived, very helpful and very pleasant throughout our entire stay. Our room was awesome. It had a fireplace, a porch with a beautiful view. You could even take a bath with the fireplace glowing. The staff served a very delicious breakfast and were accommodating to my dietary needs. My husband and I will definitely stay here the next time we visit Antietam.
- 5/5
The Inn is well kept, with many small details to make our stay feel like home. The staff is friendly and breakfast is delicious. We loved bringing carry out dinner and a bottle of wine, and just sitting on the patio to take in the scenery and listen to the birds. Would definitely want to come back again.
- 5/5
This property is beyond beautiful. The suite was large, beautiful and worth the price. The staff was friendly and was ready to help in anyway possible. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a nice weekend getaway.
- 5/5
Beautiful location and view. Very comfortable place for vacation. Good for biking, hiking or visiting local attractions. Will definitely like to return.
- 5/5
Gorgeous location. Quiet and isolated. We were given an upgrade, but not surprising as we were the only guests for our two night stay. We were happy, but the proprietor not so much. But he thanked us for being guests with a bottle of wine. Very gracious.
