I killed 3 roaches. Cops banging on neighbors door for hours

No issues with the staff when checking in, but the front office did not have AC, and she told me that if anything was wrong with the room, to come back and she would change rooms for me. She handed me two towels, one of which was white and the other was blue/orange i.e. bleach stained, and gave me the remote for the room. She made me leave a cash deposit of $20 to ensure you bring the room key, two towels, and remote back. The room itself was overall poor quality but all I cared about was the bed and lack of bugs and was only staying one night so didn't switch rooms. Five stars on lack of bugs. The beds were probably the most intact furniture in there. But there were holes in the walls, crayon everywhere, stains on the walls and carpeting, the drawers were all dryrotted, missing tracks, overall nonfunctional. Large chunks of tile missing from the bathroom floor, a hole in the tub itself was just patched up with tape, complete chunks of trim missing from around the door frames, and the sink's plumbing underneath was so poorly connected that it drained out onto the floor under the sink so profusely that you wouldn't even think there was plumbing there in the first place. There were two refrigerators because the one that was in the cabinet didn't work and they decided instead of taking that one out and putting the new one in, they would just leave it and put a second on a broken table next to the cabinet. The neighbors and surrounding area was super shady.

The guy who worked last night was extremely rude and there was roaches in my room and blood on the sheets worst stay ever. Roaches in the mini fridge bathroom was cleanish at least. Would definitely not recommend.

When we arrived to check in, the office was closed. There was a note on the door asking check-ins to go to their sister hotel. We went to the sister hotel, and their office was closed as well. The phone number to The Keys did not work and no one answered when I called the sister hotel. I paid for a hotel I couldn’t stay at.

They actually weren’t there at the Keys hotel. There was a sign go to go to their sister hotel 2 miles away, called the ambassador. Worst hotel I’ve ever stayed at in 50 years and that would be considering I’d probably stayed in several hundred hotels over the years.

Horrific. Upon arrival we’re told casually the washer and dryer is broken going on week 2. We’re told No towels in room at all. Sheet on one of the beds missing, so dirty, cigaret butt on bathroom floor, sink masticated. Holes in walls. Scary. And they wanted 20& security deposit on top of torture

This is a place for a quick, very dirty, rendezvous. There are no towels, no wash clothes and no hand towels. Cockroaches literally crawled out of the drain when I was washing my hands. I was relieved that I had camping gear in my trunk so I could lie my sleeping bag/blanket on top of the bed. Unless you’re a working girl/guy of the night I don’t think this is the place for you.

There's was one positive thing, a prostitute gave me a bag of candy some condoms and a sandwich as she was waiting for her fix! Cock Roach ?, smelt of death, smelt of urine. Sheet has menstrual blood on them. Fridge full of mold. It was the most disappointing thing I've ever seen in my life.

The room was extremely dirty. walking up to the room was an experience, hoes and dirty appearing residence were everywhere. The shower area was nasty. I spent as much time as i could away from this room. carpet needs to be pulled up and burn along with curtains, bed and bed sheets. Honestly just burn down the whole room and close the facility. if you are dead tired and you can not drive another inch i still wouldn't suggest that you stay there, in this case your car my be a safer cleaner experience .

The location was convenient. And the maintenance guy gave me extra towels. Security deposit was cheap accepted cash The rooms condition didn’t match the rate charged a night. Checking in was slow especially not being busy.

There were cockroaches everywhere, even in our bed. We left as soon as someone oped the office. We had pictures of cockroaches and rewuested a refund but due to poweroutage the clerk said she couldnt do anything and the manager couldnt be reached. Thin towels, no washclothes, no coffee pot. The bugs were discusting. I set a travel mug of water by my bed. Only a small opening in lid. In morning there were ten dead coackroches in the cup.

The two ladies working the lobby were the only positive experience out of the stay. They were accommodating as they can possibly be with the very minimal they had. Horrible place! We left earlier than what we paid for because it was just unacceptable. I would’ve rather dealt with hurricane Milton

Bugs-holes in curtains and bedspread -debris in tub drain-no door lock -garbage strewn all over by back steps- banged my ankle on exposed bed frame- cover off electrical box in bathroom- dirty shower curtain. She has no problem checking in and was told she was given one of the nicer rooms. The room she was given was disgusting. It wasn’t even the torn apart floors, curtains ripped and dangling from the rod, the old bathroom with the holes in the tile or the cigarette burns and stains all over the bedspread that really was the kicker. There were large, live roaches crawling up the walls and a freezer that hadn’t been cleaned or defrosted in the whole time it had been owned with roach guts in the gaps. She also didn’t have a door that didn’t lock. I l would never ever recommend this hotel. Needless to say, she left quickly and when she told them why at the desk, the lady told her she’d never find anything available and she got what she paid for.

Waited over 30 minutes for them to come help us as the worker was busy smoking in the car, we were told they have no rooms because their locks are all messed up. Then we were sent to another hotel the ambassador inn, at their urging owned by the same person per them, only to be told again no. Im working to get a refund and have them removed from Expedia. Save yourself the hassle and skip it

Literally straight out of a bad horror movie. Stay away. I was told I was given one of their best rooms (202) and it had stains on every fabric, holes, bugs non-functional locks, and it was almost unbearable the amount of cigarette smell inside.

The room was very dirty. The microwave didn’t work. It had a razor left behind from another guest. It had unpainted sheet rock. It had roaches, a dirty carpet and it smelled terrible. The toilet seat was falling off, and the pipe behind it was leaking hope that the staff takes note of the issues and takes a close look around the place. There is much room for improvement here.

The price could be attractive but please do not stay in this hotel. The room is not clean and there are cockroaches. I do not know why this place is still open.

Roach problem, hot water doesn't hardly last long enough to shower, staff is friendly, the motel is a little above average for that area. Quiet and peaceful, no loud rude guests. McDonalds right next door and Circle K right down the street in easy walking distance. 99c store and Family Dollar nearby. If you reserve online with a reservations company you save money, although you still pay another $8 fee plus $20 CASH (refundable deposit at checkout) at checkin. Fairly competitive for price and the best feature for me was the places nearby to get what I needed.

I did not like a thing, this place is absolutely unsanitary, awful, icky and totally unsafe. There were roaches crawling everywhere (including the bed), th toilet broken, shower rod rusty, furniture literally falling apart among many other things.

When I arrived the hotel did not have my reservation registered. I was told at arrival that the housekeeper was in the hospital so they only had two clean rooms. The room I eventually got was moldy and the carpet was so sticky I was required to wear flipflops as my feet stuck to the floor. I was able to change room the next day and the new room was better. If that was the end of it I wouldnt have bothered to leave a review, but the following day my key stopped working. When I went to the lobby to get it fixed, the manager out of the blue asked me if I was gay. When I told him I was not he accused me of lying as he could tell by the way I walked and talked. The situation was extremely awkward and uncomfortable. Lowest rating and dont recommend anyone to stay here.

I thought the room was unhealthy to stay in. Because there were cockroaches in the tub and sink area I did not use bathroom. Lobby opened after 9 am. (no breakfast served/available as noted online) and I checked out. FLORIDA HEALTH DEPARTMENT should close the motel down until problems resolved

I’ve stayed here before and it was never the way I seen it this time absolutely dirty roaches all over mold I seen 3 rooms before I requested my money back and the young lady told me unfortunately she can’t refund me so before I lost my money I chose to stick it out and stay but never again I couldn’t sleep from the person next door playing his game system fyi this place has actually rented their rooms out long terms they should just cover to low income apartments cause that’s exactly what it was and what I saw people living out the rooms only thing missing for them was a stove but I would not absolutely not recommend this to anyone not even a trucker for a night

The hotel should not be on your list of offers. It is a deteriorated property, very dirty, broken walls, stained towels, uncleaned floor, broken doors, no security, in fact cars cannot be located in front of the lobby because it is closed. avoiding car parking. That property is a hygiene hazard. The dirty bathrooms, the dirty bathtub, they don't put soap, the only thing that worked is the small fridge. I had to go to walmart and buy CLOROX sanitizer, cleaning wipes, I had to buy bedding since I didn't have just a matress cover. The pillows did not work in this hotel, I do not recommend it to anyone, it is a danger in terms of hygiene. Towels were never replaced.

The counter around the sink was sticky, so i used a wet wipe to clean it. The wet wipe ended up being black. One bed had a huge visible dip in the middle. It was very difficult to sleep in. The chair had a stain that looked like a butt-crack. I turned the cushion over, but it was completely stained. The hotel should have returned my deposit two days ago. I called Thursday afternoon (March 16th, 2023). The female that answered was so rude. She screamed that "You'll get it when you get it." She proceeded to hang up on me. I wish I had taken pictures. We checked in the hotel after driving 7 hours. I wasn't thinking about pictures.

The room had an overwhelming cigarette and alcohol odor, the bed sheets had holes in them, there was no proper lighting, there were markings and dirt on the walls. Lastly, I went to the office to ask for a refund after spending 10 minutes in my room and my request was rejected. I had to call my bank to make a claim and get it back.

Terrible, I had to book last minute. Misread name thinking it was a Red Roof Inn. I walked into a bad smell there were pictures missing from dirty walls door was hard to close 3 lamps none had shades each only had 1 bulb each the outlet near bed was broken and half pulled out of wall. Carpet needed to be vacuumed. Walked into bathroom the pole with the shower curtain was rusted badly. The vent for bathroom had no cover all you saw was dirt and grime the light fixture in bathroom had no globe and it was pulling away from ceiling. Finally had to leave $20 deposit for remote control and key/ card for door. Well I had to catch my flight and at 7:30am I went to return and the office was closed. We got in late so I only spent 1 day in the terrible room. They did move me to another room which I would give a 2 and 1/2 star. You get what you pay for

Room was in horrible condition. Made the unfortunate mistake to book one of the only rooms left available during President's Day/race weekend. Room was filthy. Outlets missing covers/damaged. Smoke detector dangling from wall. Looked like feces speckled on wall. Paint peeling. Furniture damaged. Trash under bed. Tiles broken. Fridge plugged in but not operational and disgusting. Blanket sticky.

We would certainly like a refund of the expense.

The Check In and the Front Desk where excelente. They where always attending any request and in time. The facilities and specially the room need a lot of update. Needs deep cleaning, not a housekeeper job it’s deep cleaning. Housekeeping did a great effort.

There were holes in the walls with toilet paper or paper towels stuffed in. Didn’t dare take my shoes off. The floors were sticky and soiled. There was a microwave- yay I guess. Both fridges didn’t work but they had running water. The remote didn’t work for the tv. When the guy handed me the remote I should have known it was a bad situation. Around 2 am we were woken up by ambulance and police(that was fun) and the front desk was closed! They were still closed in the morning when we went to check out. I seriously cannot believed they charged me 637! It has to be a joke or a mistake. Not cool hotels.com
