Reviews
The hotel staff is consistently praised for their friendliness and helpfulness. However, the hotel's condition is a common complaint, with guests frequently mentioning outdated rooms, thin walls, and cleanliness issues. The hotel's location and views are generally well-liked.

We have been going up to Lake Arrowhead for over 10 years, we always stay at Lake Arrowhead Resort and Spa . . . it is showing its age and is not being attended to. Being in construction we notice the neglect, peeling paint, broken concrete, broken and torn screens, non-working amenities. Cheap fixes to cover an issue. It's sad, as this was always a special trip for us and we pay a lot of money to stay there. Next year we will have to look at other locations.
- 3/5
Older property with a beautiful view - staff didn’t tell me about any of the amenities but there’s lots to do downstairs for kids
- 5/5
All perfect
- 3/5
This place is pretty dated. But there isn’t a lot of other places to stay.
- 5/5
There's no reason we feel we wouldn't stay there again.
- 5/5
Balcony and lake view Spa village cant think of anythng
- 5/5
Beautiful view from the room. Good breakfast food. Very friendly staff Some areas are a bit run down especially on the way to the beach area
- 3/5
Love this place
- 5/5
Our stay was wonderful We'll be back in August.
- 5/5
Great location right next to the lake and village. Super friendly staff. Fitness center was a pleasant surprise…much bigger than expected. Hotel also offers private boat tours which are definitely worth the money as it’s by far the best way to experience the lake. Will stay again next time in the area.
- 5/5
The view , breakfast was delicious and staff were super friendly. Kevin at the pool area is the best !
- 5/5
The customer service was great, the room, I was in had stunning lakefront view, everything is well maintained, the spa, a great sauna, jacuzzi, showers w/toiletries and ask for Ken, best deep tissue massage ever! Will definitely go back!
- 5/5
Hotel was clean and the staff was really friendly. The hotel restaurant/bar was beautiful and had really good food. Highly suggest staying here, and I know I'll be back at some point.
- 5/5
Exceptional
- 4/5
A nice resort located next to Lake Arrowhead and next to the Village Shopping Center. Lots of parking and easy to navigate the property. Room is old but clean and has an undercounter refrigerator and coffee maker. The fitness center is very good, large space with lots of equipment. Overall, a good experience.
- 3/5
Location Too old, 1st floor doesn’t have good view and no good privacy. not worth the price.
- 5/5
Wonderful experience at the most peaceful place in Lake arrowhead.
- 5/5
Staff is always friendly
- 4.5/5
Construction across the lake, made it miserable to be outside. There’s not a really good room with a Clearview as it was advertised. If you don’t live in the area, not worth to drive up the mountain unless it is snowing.
- 1/5
well we have been coming here for years and I dont know if its due to the new manager or what but I was very disappointed with the quality of the resort. we booked 3 night paid close to $900.00 my sister and her boyfriend also got a room for the same price we both had the same complaints. can't watch tv because theres no service to stream anything, no wifi. no signal for even basic channels so you can't watch tv, the outlets didnt work anywhere what so ever and we have complained about that before. also the gate that let's you in from the lake wouldn't open for anyone and theres no who to get back in we saw on our last day they were finally fixing the gate. the pool, game room gym movie room all closed at 10pm even on Fri. Sat. nights. and the restroom in that area too were closed by 9:30pm rooms were not well maintained peeling wallpaper, ants, over bad stay. pillows are horrible.
- 4/5
Excellent location walkable to the Lake Arrowhead Village shopping area and the lakeshore. The hotel provides free EV charging which was a nice surprise. The rooms are spacious but somewhat dated, especially the beds.
- 5/5
Came here for our wedding anniversary. The staff was nice. They upgraded us to a lake view upon check in. The room was lovely with an amazing view. The room was clean, with a cute balcony. There is a mini fridge and coffee maker in the room but no microwave. They do have a shared microwave located right beside the ice machine in the hallway. During our stay we were able to use the gym and the pool and jacuzzi. The hote's location is right beside the village where you will find shops, restaurants and the boat tour. Overall, we loved this place and will be coming back for future adventures.
- 5/5
Everything was amazing but the room carpet was not clean. That's the only thing I was not satisfied with.
- 5/5
Very clean place with lake view. The staff was friendly and check in was a breeze. Pool and beach area for swimming was great. Fishing and kayaks on site. Great place!
- 5/5
Very nice hotel with great staff. Amenities were well maintained and the restaurant was excellent!!
- 4/5
Nice property with lots to offer. Needs updating though.
- 5/5
it was a decent stay, the staff wasn't very friendly specially at the spa and during checkout time,
- 4/5
Very comfortable, my room did the job. The tv lacked stations, hardly any entertainment. The restaurant was a disappointment, the Ravioli plate was nasty. The cheese burger was over spiced. Hardly anything to do .

The view of the lake was beautiful. And the beach though tiny was nice to have. The building looks tired. And there were crowds of people with screaming children, running up and down the halls.

Needs the outside painted!
- 4/5
Loved the resort. We were given a room upgrade which was so nice! We loved the pool and lake beach access.
- 5/5
Beautiful place for family! The view, pool area, movie theater and game room for kids!! We had so much fun!
- 5/5
Great hotel to take a doggie to. Great bar and restaurant, nice fire places, and the spa is great. Walking distance to shops.
- 5/5
Nice and clean.
- 5/5
The room was clean, bed was okay. The balcony view is misleading for the room we got as it looked into a group of trees. The staff was very friendly. The food was good as well as the drinks at the bar. The hot tub was very nice and hot!! The space down by the lake had chairs to sit in by the water. The only thing missing was a bonfire, the pit there was locked up not being used. Overall a 9 out of 10 experience. Would recommend and possibly go back should I be in the area again for vacation.
- 5/5
True 5 star resort. Fridge in room. Microwave next to u e making machine. Spa and fitness room excellent
- 5/5
Great spot!

The staff and location. The shampoo smelled good. The room was old, uncomfortable, ugly and SMALL. Terrible television. No microwave in the room, you have to use the one in the hallway. Ridiculous price for such a gross room. A lot of damage.

Very good

If you are coming to Arrowhead to do lake activities forget about it! We didn't realize the lake is 100% private and you can't even kayak without being an owner in the community. Can only fish from hotel dock as well.
- 5/5
Lo recomiendo
- 4.5/5
It is getting shabby.
- 5/5
The room was very clean and the staff was helpful. The view was beautiful and the grounds were kept groomed and peaceful. Short walk to shops and restaurants and short drive to other small towns. Only complaint was that we get charged for Resort Fee for things we did not use: pool, weight room. beach.
- 4.5/5
Superb
- 2/5
Mattress lumpy, sink broken. Ask for 1 o'clock extension on exit day and they would not give to me 1 to charge $75, so the check-in at 4 PM and check out at 11 AM is unreasonable.
- 4.5/5
Superb
- 5/5
The carpet was dirty, the decor is a bit dated but charming
- 1/5
We also got downstairs neighbors celebrating 16th b-day. Not only were they obnoxiously loud, but they were also outside splashing in the pool and jacuzzi well after 11:30pm. Staff kept coming by to tell them to leave, but they refused. Ordeal took hours and way longer than it should have to get handled. Think around 1am, guests were escorted off the premises. We got very little sleep the two nights we were there. I decided it was just best to leave and skip on our third night's booked stay. Think next time we'll just try renting a house.
- 5/5
Very good
- 5/5
Convenient Location. Close to the Lake Arrowhead Village, boat cruise, beautiful views, private beach, great amenities, clean and friendly staff. Great value.
- 5/5
Wonderful experience!
- 5/5
The staff and atmosphere made out trip very nice! Easy walk to the village. Bed very comfortable and view was very nice!
- 5/5
The staff at the reception, restaurant, and the gentleman at the pool area were all very friendly and welcoming. For my birthday, our sweet waitress surprised me with a dessert, which made the stay even more special. Overall, it’s a nice property with a fantastic view, and we had a relaxing weekend. Good points: the lake view and the private access to the lake. Negative point: unfortunately, the pool was dirty, so we Couldn’t enjoy it in our first day.
- 5/5
We absolutely love this place very comfort
- 3/5
Staff was polite , friendly & helpful Lakeview was as described Guests upstairs were not tolerable , I could hear footsteps until 2 am and again at 6 am onwards in the morning, we could barely sleep
- 3/5
Called down and was offered ear plugs or to change rooma at 430 AM I was able to finally fall back to sleep around 8am. Went down to show them a video of the sounds and where it was coming....i was apologized to and given 1 hour extra to check out at 12 instead of 11...talk about not being aware of how the customer feels. I can care less about the "thank you" for letting them know about the AC... Probably will avoid this hotel moving forward, as i felt like i was not taken care of.
- 5/5
Great location and friendly staff
- 5/5
The location is perfect since you’re close to the village, restaurants, and lake activities, but it still feels quiet and relaxing. The spa and hot tub really helped us unwind and disconnect from the stress of everyday life. Overall, it was exactly the kind of reset trip we were looking for and we’d definitely come back again.
- 5/5
Great service by the staff at the front desk and the service at the restaurant was also very good
- 5/5
It was very clean and welcoming atmosphere. The private lakefront was beautiful.
- 4/5
Property was very nice, the only issue was that we could hear next door guest in the middle of night fighting, screaming. It felt like walls are too thin. Other than that all was good!! Property is very clean and pretty
- 4/5
Rooms need a little updating.
- 5/5
All great with the exception of the weather :(
- 5/5
Resort is nice, I visited with my 2 kids and the staff was amazing, they do have an arcade room and a movie room, also the pool was heated and the beach was nice,
- 5/5
Lake view was wonderful
- 3/5
Nice view
- 3/5
My husband and I were very excited about staying at the property. We had stayed there years ago, but unfortunately, they have not maintained it in or out from the outside. It looks like a scary movie the paint the trim there’s broken wood everywhere. The tiles are falling off. It looked terrible. The inside the paint was chipping everywhere the carpet felt dirty. The wallpaper was peeling. We were very disappointed.
- 4/5
it was a decent room view, and the place is still quaint. they have stopped doing the breakfast buffet, that’s a shame.
- 4/5
This is an outstanding property that is second to none in the area. A few things can be improved and brought up to date room-wise but still a bargain. The problem is ants in the bathroom and closet area. They can't seem to fix this problem and this is my 4th visit. You shouldn't see ants anywhere in your room. It made us uncomfortable thinking they might be everywhere in the room.
- 5/5
Stayed 2 nights. Outdoor paint maintenance season has started however inside is very nice. Front desk super nice and allowed a several hour early check in with any additional money. Pool is heated and clean and what a beautiful view. Jacuzzi clean, grounds with firepits are nice at night. Bar and restaurant are outstanding and gives huge breakfasts. Walking distance to both a brewery and the village. They have gym and a Spa however did not have time to check it out. Get a lake view. The way to go. Will be back
- 5/5
👍
- 5/5
Loved it. Close to village, and clean and cozy!
- 5/5
Our favorite place!
- 5/5
The close proximity to the Village was wonderful. About a 3 minute walk. We were able to grab dinner at the lake front restaurant and get breakfast at McDonald’s before we hit the road in the morning. The Stater Bros was so good to have. We were able to grab some snacks for the kids and a bottle or two to enjoy on the balcony at night. The housekeepers were so kind and did a great job as well. Beds were very comfortable too. On to the only negative: The game room could use some improvement or additional machines. The change machine was broken and there was no change on site. We had to walk to the Stater Bros to get change (slightly inconvenient but really not that big of a deal)
- 2/5
However, it should be noted staff in the lounge were very attentive and provided a great experience. Unfortunately, we won’t be back due to the very dismissive staff member that smiles when she provides a lesson on hotel stays.
- 4/5
Friendly staff, as soon as arrival we were greeted with smiles. Michelle at check-in reception is excellent. So staff all were attentive and polite. Room was clean with a nice view down to the lake beach area and made for beautiful morning wake-ups. Had some aesthetics that could be improved on such as paint exterior wood areas and address an old deck area that although blocked off from access doesn’t look the greatest from balcony of the room. Overall I would definitely stay again as its close proximity to the village was ideal. I highly recommend it.
- 3/5
The property is older and could use some renovations, but if they are going for the rustic western feel, they are successful. They have a game room for the kids but there are just a handful of games and they are either not working or you cannot play them as they require quarters and the change dispenser was not working. They did have a movie room that was very nice. The balcony rooms were nice, with a great view of the lake.
- 5/5
Loved this place! Very family and kid friendly, we cannot wait to come back here.
- 5/5
A great place for families. Friendly staff, clean rooms, delicious food at the restaurant. Exterior of hotel, carpets and some of the pool chairs could use repair and updating. Overall very happy with resort.
- 2/5
The room was really dirty shower was not clean
- 1/5
This is a outdated old broken facility. Never go to stay there! It is terrible!
- 4/5
The hotel is in need of a refresh, but the staff are lovely and accommodating.
- 3/5
The general manager recently left I was therein October it was much better it has declined since.. but still a nice place to stay
- 5/5
Went during off season , place was beautiful and quiet for the time . Very nice property and walkable to everything
- 4/5
Yes the views were beautiful.
- 4/5
The resort is in a great location in Lake Arrowhead. The place could use some new paint on the exterior and a refresh in the rooms as well. There was a water stained ceiling tile near the hvac vent and the sliding doors didn’t slide well at all. I used the fitness center which was in great shape and my kids used the oool. Another too cold for the lake. Didn’t relocate that there would be an additional resort fee on top of the rates paid through ORBITZ, maybe I didn’t seee it or it was intentionally hard to see. Overall I would go back as this seems like the best location in LA to stay at.
- 5/5
Beautiful location. Large room with couch, ottoman and desk. Nice balcony wth table and chairs. Walkable to shops and restaurants. No microwave in room, but one in the vending area.

- 4/5
Great food at Bin189. Staff were great. Hotel and ground beautiful.
- 3/5
The AC didn't work without maintenance required twice.
- 4/5
Staff not that helpful except for in the bar and restaurant where they were very nice. Bedroom well appointed but had to make up sofa bed ourselves which was a surprise for an expensive hotel. Outdoor pool lovely, indoor spa facilities limited. Gym ok.
- 2/5
The tv was broken and unable to work, there was no hand soap in the bathroom and the toilet did not flush
- 2/5
We arrived early but due to system problems they were not able
- 5/5
Clean room, with a view. Nice jacuzzi, kind of small. Dinner at the restaurant was delicious, moderately priced. Staff member Lia was extraordinarily helpful and patient with us.
- 3/5
Stay was okay, went because it was dog friendly and was hoping that would work well, wanted to use the private beach. Yet, dogs aren’t allowed on it, if that’s their policy fine, but wish it was advertised.
- 5/5
Super staff, friendly, helped and told me everything they offered
- 4/5
Great staff.
- 5/5
The staff was really great.
- 2/5
Property is poorly maintained. Room had dirty and worn carpeting, dirty cloth footstool, missing trim pieces in bathroom, etc. Paint peeling outside, no cushions available for outdoor wicker furniture.
- 5/5
Amazing ambience
- 1/5
There was a terrible humming noise coming from the vent, ventilation system on the first floor. We called the front desk. The first time they said that
- 5/5
One of the staff when I check in and later when I have a question, she wasn’t very nice. I think her name is Lia other than that my experience was very good
- 4/5
The staff is outstanding and very helpful. I enjoyed my stay. I would have rated it excellent if there was access to the lake and a tad less noisy. It was off season so I couldn’t get on the water via the hotel as it’s a private lake - who knew that was a thing?! Also, the walls are paper thin and I had noisy neighbors. I could hear every detail of the conversation in their room. I also never received the promised email receipt upon check out.
- 3/5
Outdated building, dirty carpet and furnitures
- 2/5
Our relax and restful weekend stay was interrupted every 20 mins by our neighbors door slamming and scaring the dogs and waking us up during our weekend stay. Also the pet fee was a surprise . Other than that it was excellent! Village was close by the place looked amazing.
- 4/5
This resort can use some new carpet in rooms and hallways.
- 1/5
El trato fue discriminatorio,no hubo shampoo no hubo acondicionador no hubo jabon de cuerpo en mi cuarto la jarra para hacer mi cafe no servia bueno no tuve una buena experiencia
- 5/5
Truly enjoyed the resort. Beautiful and peacful.
- 3/5
Yes
- 5/5
Love it
- 4/5
The only problem was the very bad gas smell and the room they provided was right in front of the construction. There was a terrible gas smell that we could not keep the balcony open to have a fresh air. Also, when I called in before booking through Expedia, the lady tried to charge me for parking, and a few other stuff and the price was high. However, Expedia had a very good deal. Besides, the parking was free and no charge as I found out when arrived. Overall was satisfied.
- 5/5
Clean, lots to do, good walking distance to everything and the staff was lovely! Thanks for the great trip!
- 5/5
Very clean, well-maintained resort. I will surely go back and stay there again during my next visit.
- 4/5
The property was clean, but tired. The carpet was stained and a bit "crunchy"- like the carpet had been cleaned one too many times. Air conditioning/heating was great. Staff was great. Had breakfast in the restaurant. Seemed pretty overpriced to me, but service was good.
- 5/5
Excellent
- 4/5
Yes was excellent
- 4/5
Centrally located short walk to shops and food in the village. Emily checked me in and was very friendly. I left my room without a key (twice, I’ve never done that before) they were very nice about it and I had to show proof, which I was grateful that they did ensure safety.
- 5/5
Beautiful property. The rooms are comfortable and clean but our curtains needed an upgrade. Our room didn't have sheer courtains for privacy and the blackout curtains were ripped. The wall paper in the bathroom was peeling off in a visible area. We stayed on the 2nd floor. Nonetheless the resort and spa are amazing
- 5/5
Good
- 5/5
Excellent
- 4/5
We had a beautiful view of the lake--very peaceful. Walking along the pathway to the dock was a highlight. The staff was very friendly and helpful.
- 5/5
Loved the spa and room by the pool
- 5/5
Great view of the lake from our bedroom. Jacuzzi was very warm with jets. Game room has arcade games: foosball table, car racing game, skee-ball, air hockey game, 2 claw machines. There is also a movie room with child friendly movies. There is a giant beautiful cozy fireplace in the lobby. There is a village walking distance that has a toy store, great restaurant (fish tacos, arugula burrata peach salad) and a gelato and crepe place. There is also this beautiful train village track with miniature village. It’s free. There is also a random couch outlet with a nice selection. For breakfast or brunch, highly recommend a sport grill, called Lake Arrowhead sports Grill in Blue Jay, 5 minutes away. The owner is Sergio, who served delicious omelet, pancakes and hash browns. Highly recommend!
- 5/5
I really enjoyed my stay and I love the resorts charm. The spa is excellent and Ken is a wonderful massage therapist-I request him every stay. It would be nice to see some TLC put into the exterior of the building so the outside matches the inside - new paint, fix the shingles and spruce up a bit plus new carpet in the main areas would add a lot to the property. Thank you!
- 5/5
Beautiful hotel, the staff are very friendly and helpful. This was my second time coming to Lake Arrowhead, its been easily over 20 years since my last visit. You guys have made this staycation memorable for my family and I. Thank you!
- 5/5
Very cozy staying
- 3/5
I have been coming to Lake arrowhead resort last 5 years same month and weekend, I understand it had snowed so check in be later not early but to find out staff that cleans didn’t t show up was just unbelievable.I was told come back at 1pm mind you the lady was very nice so ,I came back at 1pm still no room by 4pm when that’s the time to check in room still was not ready to come back later .I was very upset By 5pm my room was ready I wasted so much time just waiting ,this is my favorite time to come so i’ll still be back BUT keep in mind if it snows their will be delays.I think check out at 11am and by 4pm rooms should be done or guest should be given something for the inconvenience. This is a nice place for a getaway just needs updating paint on outside and in the rooms new curtains most rooms iv stayed are ripped my plugs in my room didn’t work and tv was scambled not a clear picture.overall being on the lake and staff nice it’s worth it if you can see pass some imperfections.
- 5/5
Lovely
- 5/5
Rooms are very clean and in great condition. Grounds are beautiful! Highly recommend the restaurant and coffee shop!
- 5/5
Loved the overall feel of this property, the room was laid out in a way that felt spacious. It is worth upgrading to a lake view, it's quite spectacular. I loved the proximity to the village. And everyone we encountered was really nice, I'm glad I chose this as our hotel.
- 5/5
EVERYTHING WAS GREAT
- 1/5
from moving around in the dark of course No free breakfast no discounts only one courtesy shovel was offered to help us shovel our car out the snow. I also asked to speak to the person responsible for the quality of my experience which would be management that person wasn’t ever available they refused to credit any of our stay And we left a day early due to the mental exhaustion I just couldn’t figure out how to move around in the restroom ,in the dark with one flashlight. Still no credit or refund. Looks like they where happy to see us go with our 1 extra day of pay they charge me for. Thanks lake Arrowhead for my tarnished birthday experience you guy definitely now how to make sure that area stay sucluddede lol
- 4/5
The room was nice but the walls were a little thin so you could hear sounds from neighbors
- 5/5
There was no electricity in the town due to a strong taking down a power line. Yet the place had a generator. They tried to accommodate us and keep us happy:
- 5/5
Stayed here many times and will come back.
- 5/5
Great customer service.
- 5/5
See staff and the amenities it was a clean room. We love going there every few months we’ve been getting massages which are actually delightful. Ownership probably should rehab some of the rooms carpets looking a little worn and torn. Some of the drapes are worn and torn but all in all I still give it a five stars because I love going up there my wife and I love it
- 3/5
Room was fine, yet dated. Building had noticeable wear and tear. Staff was polite but the place needs major remodeling, repairs and updating. No USB ports in the room? What year is this?
- 5/5
Excellent location, nice staff, somewhat aged but majestic property
- 1/5
Our hotel room bathroom went through a main line back up. Waste overflowed onto the bathroom floor and into the carpet. They were not able to accommodate us into another room. We sat in the lobby for two hours with three kids and a dog just to be told they did not know when it would be fixed. They claim to have refunded us one night, as well as pet and resort fees, but we have yet to see that happen. Great hotel otherwise, staff was kind and as accommodating as they could be. The manager never once spoke to us but rather had their staff handle everything while also trying to work their job
- 5/5
So convenient staying right by the village literally a few minute walk to EVERYTHING.
- 3/5
We have stayed at this facility many times and it really is a beautiful resort. But we were a little bit disappointed that the hostess that checked us in didn’t mention that we were going to be next to a family with a dog. From five in the morning until we pretty much checked out there was constant barking. They also did not accommodate a late check out for us and the front desk was very rude when I mentioned it.
- 5/5
Yes
- 4/5
Everything was great except for the lack of slippers in the room. For a spa resort, that was quite uncomfortable and unexpected.
- 5/5
Great friendly staff, quiet. Staff also helped me open the door when i was having trouble using the card.
- 5/5
It was quite thats what we needed nice big chimney in the lobby, food was great the only bad thing its veryyyyy old needs renovation i would still give it 5 stars becz of the location everything was max 5mins
- 5/5
Clean room, friendly staff, and nice ambiance. Would definitely come back
- 5/5
Thank you for allowing me to check in earlier than 4pm!
- 5/5
Great service
- 5/5
Staff was helpful and present, facility was clean, great activities included with the stay
- 5/5
We decided to book a room despite living locally after our wedding ceremony. Staff were so generous to upgrade our room for free for the occasion. We had an excellent time and would love to make it an annual tradition to come back. Thank you for the wonderful stay!
- 5/5
Clean room, staff courteous.
- 5/5
Amazing stay! Brought my kids for MLK weekend and it was the perfect getaway, staff was friendly, kids room area and movie area were great, as was the jacuzzi! We will definitely be back again!
- 2/5
Was over charged when credit service wasn't working. Now to look into this

The day we arrived it started to rain so having rhe game room, theater, gym, spa was fun. We had dinner at 5p, went up to rest and at 2am I got sick (food poisoning) I was stuck in my room for 24hrs but since they have a snack shop thar too waa a plus I what i needed to deel better. Just realized I should've let the dront desk know I got sick. Other than that beautiful view, great location.

Amazing!

I booked for lake view instead there was a big tree covering our view. Sliding screen door broken and toilet had to be manually filled to flush. We did not want to have people around to have to fix things since this was only a 1 night get away for us. Hotel should make sure things are in operational status before giving to guest.

The room we had was terrible in the sense we could here people arriving and talking loudly. Terrible window for sound control. In addition, people were gathering and smoking cigarettes and Marijuana just in front if the hotel and we could smell it strongly. The hallways were loud and kids were running 🏃♀️ through the hallways majing noise. And the neighbors dod kept barking at anybody that webt by their door. I dont reccomend this hotel at all. Terrible!

Great service

Room is spotless. Staff is customer service friendly, can’t blame them. No one wants to work after th holidays.

Above and beyond
- 3/5
A truly disappointing property, comparing with about 10 years ago which was run by family (?) and now by big corp and feels like no one cares anymore. Badly managed place and relies on the previous reputation.
- 4/5
The bar closed too early for a holiday week.
- 1/5
The hotel itself is not bad, but certain circumstances forced me to give it a 1/5 rating: we arrived from Guyana, my wife is from the Dominican Republic, and the hotel staff noticeably treated her like an immigrant (possibly even an illegal one) when she approached them alone. And on New Year's Eve, the receptionist called the police when my wife came to the hotel lobby with a guy we had met that night while they were waiting for me to park the car. That was too much. We’ll never come back to this place.

Nice and friendly staff and the hotel is magical ❤️
- 5/5
The hotel staff were friendly. The rooms were clean and comfy. The property itself was well maintained. The room I selected had a breathtaking view. Gym/Spa was nice too. Restaurant on site another plus. There seemed to be more amenities but just couldn’t get to them in such a short time. The hotel was walking distance to the village where the shops and restaurants are. Also a small brewery steps away that provides a great atmosphere. I think the hotel is situated in a perfect place for a short getaway depending on your plans. Overall great experience.

Didn’t stay for the second night. Mold in the room. Was very uncomfortable and smelled like mold as well. Will not be staying there again.

Great location, price and the staff is always so friendly
- 4/5
We had dinner and it was delicious
- 4/5
Rooms were clean, Jacuzzi was hot just how we like it, and staff was very pleasant.
- 1/5
The Resort was hosting a holiday party. Cackling loud drunk people running up and down the halls all night. Worst night in Arrowhead. I'm no longer going to stay at this location
- 5/5
We enjoyed everything the resort had to offer, I was pleasantly surprised, christmas decorations and atmosphere was great.
- 4/5
The room itself was great. The view was also great. Unfortunately we had people next door who were noisy and the people above us were noisy as well. Seemed as though they were stomping. The restaurant was nice and the lobby too.

Great staff and amenities. Perfect location to enjoy the area.
- 5/5
Hotel was beautiful. Our room was comfortable. Staff was excellent!
- 4/5
Curtain was broken when we entered the room, and dead bird was placed on the balcony ground. That's the first impression we got. However, Staff at the lobby was very friendly and she remembered me whenever I went there to ask questions. And the cleaning lady was very friendly and nice. Games on the first floor was fun. I went to bar for the first time, there was no seat. I stood in front of bar and was waiting for bartenders to come but it did not happen for 10 minutes. I finally got a chance to get a menu, and then for another 10 minutes, no one came to me, so I just left. Next day I tried again, and I went right in front of one female bartender to talk and I could be able to order and it was quick this time.
- 3/5
The property is in a good location. Staff was very nice. The property needs some renovation. Our bathroom ceiling was leaking and our heater needed makntance to fix. We had the Thanksgiving fixed menu at their restaurant- very over priced and the food was a 3/10. Waiter was nice but 600 for a family of 5 and the food was cateria-esque was a lesson learned.

Front desk people need to be more friendly

The receptionist at check in was very nice. The hotel is dated & needs some updating, but still charming & a nice option for the area
- 3/5
Room had a great view, however the carpet was badly stained and looked very old and worn.Restaurant was great, music fantastic.
- 4/5
Good overall , surprised of seeing dogs inside the resort . Noisy at night bcse of kids .
- 4/5
They do a good job having lots of options for everyone in the family. We went just me, my husband, and our 2 huskies. I enjoyed using the steam room and roman bath. I also enjoyed the quiet area near the steam room to enjoy some down time. We ate dinner at the Bin189 and it was delicious. The staff at the restaurant, front desk, and spa were all wonderful! The only thing that kept me from rating the place a 5 would be that the area outside my room was marked as closed for an event the entire weekend, yet absolutely no event took place. I would have liked a view from my room without the signs. I would have liked to have walked out on that patio for some photos with my husband and dogs. Also there were some places on the property that needed repair, like the facia on my patio. It really needed a bit of sanding and a fresh coat of outdoor paint. Overall we had a great stay!
- 5/5
Room was clean. We got a lake view room. I would have preferred to have a better view (lots of trees obstructing view, and we were right next to wedding venue outdoor, so not as much privacy, but ok), property has been upgraded a lot since we stayed last. It’s a beautiful place and all staff were professional and polite.
- 3/5
Lighting in our room was super dark, a couple of floor lamps would have cured that. Though the room looked level out to the pool, there were no sheers and the black- out curtains were frayed and heavily tattered. Comfortable bed. The 'beach' area is tiny and not exactly as it appears online. We won't stay again, but a helpful accommodation was made for our subpar room - the resort fee was waived after airing our feedback to the front desk. Perhaps it is better to be on the upper floors rather than the basement level.
- 5/5
The staff was very courteous and helpful!
- 4/5
It wasn't a free breakfast. We paid for breakfast, but it was excellent. Rooms felt a little dated. Clean, but there were definitely things that were worn/torn. The lobby area is beautiful, and overall we had a great day.
- 5/5
Loved it
- 5/5
Friendly staff and great amenities

This place was such a wonderful surprise for our anniversary. Definitely go back, the people were so friendly and welcoming. Lake Arrowhead is my new favorite mountain town.

- 5/5
We were welcomed by 3 wonderful front desk agents. Michelle helped us plan our trip and helped us check in a tiny bit early. We love the pool and hot tub area, and walked to dinner. Everything was perfect!
- 5/5
This is such great location and facility is very nice with options to dine in the village which is just few steps away
- 4/5
Lovely room with a view of the lake, very comfortable bed. Wish the restaurant stayed open later than 9pm
- 5/5
Beautiful resort. I enjoyed the gym, hot tub, and access to the lake. The kids loved the pool. The room had stained carpet but overall we really enjoyed our room. The restaurant had good food however the food was a bit cold. Shopping center is walking distance. We lived it here. We’ll be back.
- 5/5
Everything was excellent
- 2/5
Restaurant Servers were great, housekeeping was great. Steak was great. Check in was great. Spa desk staff were absolutely terrible. Most front desk were nice except the one who checked us out & told us we couldn’t pay for a different room. Recommend restaurant replace swai with cod. Rooms need to be upgraded. Expecting hotel to contact me to remove unauthorized charges.
- 4/5

This place desperately needs a renovation. Things are just worn and the amenities are very limited.
- 5/5
Staff was great. Property is in a lovely location; definitely needs updating inside and out. Grounds are not well maintained.

The place is beautiful. The trees, the lake. Cleanliness! Relaxing.
- 5/5
Took my husband away for a staycation! This resort was everything and more! Everyone in lake arrowhead is so nice! I look forward to coming back with my family!
- 1/5
Long list of issues here. Firstly, you are greeted with a grotesquely unkempt male staff with broken up nail polish, (yes MALE staff with nail polish) pants 3 sizes too big hanging off his rear end. At 6:30 am on Sunday morning the metal patio furniture is dragged across the pool concrete to wake up all LAKEFRONT guests who paid extra for a quiet room. Common sense to respect noise curfew, not this hotel. One of the 2 ev chargers was down, while the only working unit had a charged car parked for over 24hrs and hotel staff has no clue even if the car is a hotel guest or not. Paid $400 per night to get a room in desperate need of an overhaul since 10 years ago; all electric plugs too loose to hold chargers, shaving mirror not working … list goes on and on. WILL NEVER EVER STAY HERE.
- 5/5
Pool area, spa and beach were great. All staff were nice and professional. We will definitely return!
- 4/5
Everything was great! The only problem was the mattress. It had no support and my husband (240 lbs) and I (130 lbs) were waking up with sore back and neck. We will be considering going back if the mattresses get upgraded to something more supportive for our sleeping quality.
- 2/5
Won't ever go again.
- 4/5
The housekeeping staff was wonderful. Friendly, quick and accommodating. I felt some of the front of house staff (checking in and at the restaurant) to be aloof. The rooms are clean and comfortable, however, the building is in need of updating. That said, based on the location, it was a good choice. The beach area is fantastic, with a wonderful person named Deacon, providing beautiful music in the evening while you enjoy the fire pit. Deacon definitely made up for the front of house staff.
- 4/5
Great location and always nice to have the pool and beach in the summer. We stay here several times over the year and many times over the past years. For that reason, we mainly stay for the nostalgia. I would LOVE to see this place get some love. The rooms are in serious need of renovations (torn curtains, damaged furniture, stained carpet, hot tub needs maintenance). It is one of the few places to stay close to village but the place definitely could use some love. The staff at the front and the restaurant and bar are always friendly and nice.
- 5/5
This is my second time staying at the property. Great location and walking distance to the village is a highlight!
- 1/5
The hotel is nice whe you first walk in. The rooms are old. Carpet is old an not clean. The bathrooms are old, some mold. Security is a joke. We were ready to leave early.
- 4/5
I had booked two rooms for one night. We were having an amazing time at the pool and jacuzzi. We stayed another night. We look forward to returning. The only downfall about my stay , I am disable and their lakefront area was not accessible to me. I was not able to enjoy that time with my family.
- 4/5
Property needs updating exterior and rooms. Wallpaper peeling in room. No hand or shower soap provided. Pathetic one cup coffee maker. The property could give each person one cup of coffee from their coffee shop. Will not stay here again.
- 5/5
Place was clean and organized. The best feature yet was the professionalism and friendliness of the staff at the front desk and pool area.
- 3/5
Lake view, hot tub, heated pool, beach area
- 5/5
Great place, beautiful with friendly and efficient staff.
- 5/5
Great location. Relaxing, we will definitely stay longer on our next trip.

Great location and amazing swimming in the lake. Pool area is nice as was the balcony from the room
- 5/5

- 5/5
Everything was great!
- 5/5
We will come back. There is very good place for relaxing.
- 5/5
Everyone at the hotel staff is extremely friendly and helpful. From hotel lobby, to the spa and restaurant. I checked in with Elijah and he welcomed myself and my girlfriend. Elijah was very welcoming and knowledgeable. Elijah is one of the most friendliest and accommodating person that I have met. Thank you to everyone!
- 3/5
It is a beautiful place to stay and experience, but the building is in need of maintenance and repairs. Very poorly maintained for under a Mariot name! The outside spas were not working properly. One was shut down and the other was just hot water and no jets working. They said there we have access to the roman spas inside and they needed repair as well. Tiles were missing from both the mens and womens spa. The carpet throughout the hotel was wrinkled and looked old and the paint outside is chipping & pealing or missing. Our streaming service from our phones to the TV wouldn't work on the TV. The staff was pleasant, courteous and attentive to our needs. We were married there 4 years ago and went back for anniversary and we feel it has gotten much worse over those 4 years. They need to put some money into the hotel to make pristine like it was meant to be.

Water supply suddenly stopped at 11pm, I was taking shower and had to stop showering. Staff said that I can only claim my loss through Expedia since we booked from Expedia. Pool was not working and unusable.
- 1/5
I have stayed at this hotel many times, only because of the location. The rooms are dirty, the flooring is stained, the rooms smell disgusting, the reception staff are unfriendly, the maids do not speak English, you need a lot of patience to explain something. The food in the restaurant is not tasty, the service is disgusting, the menu does not change, the prices do not match the quality of the food. But the worst thing is that you are not insured that your things can be safe, the maid threw my things in the trash, it is outrageous. Total crap.
- 3/5
Charged resort fee despite all of outdoor pool area being under construction. Front desk argued about resort fee covers parking and some spa access. Come on. Outdoor area in the summer is the essential.
- 1/5
spider in the room Not enough food supplier to order But dj was good beside the pool We are not goin to there anymore Sky view inn was excellent
- 3/5
Very dated. Bed not comfortable. Left a day early.
- 4/5
Sofa bed too small for two people. King bed and sofa bed combo not ideal for four people even if two are kids. There was never an opening to switch rooms the three nights we had reservations. Bathroom faucet dripped nonstop. We put a towel in the sink to mute the sound. Loved the spa.
- 4/5
good but everything was too far apart.
- 5/5
We ended up doing the kayaking excursion with (I think Caitlyn was her name) and hiked 2 of the trails recommended. The pool was a good temp, the kayaking was fun and informative. Nice shower. The upgrade to the balcony with the view of the lake is worth it. Yummy restaurant at this hotel too! We also walked over to the village, it’s like a 5 min walk. Happy birthday trip!
- 5/5
it was amazing. Not too crowded. Beach was very clean. Firepit there, but not lit. pool was awesome. One spa did not work. Great view of lake from our room with balcony. Carpet had stains but every else was in tip top shape.
- 5/5
What a beautiful place and a very nice resort and restaurant. Lake access with a great little beach. Large pool and nice clean spa. Awesome restaurant. Friendly staff. Close short walk to the village.

bed was very uncomfortable, the pillows too. the power outlets didnt work, the wallpaper in the room was peeling off and we asked for a king size bed which is what we have at home and they said it was king but it was really a queen.

Our stay was ok, for the price I did expect a bit more :/ I took my Pugs & Im sure there are designated rooms that are Pet Friendly but the rug was SO BAD. I have never experienced such filth ever. Everything else was good but gosh lots of repairs need to be done at this resort. I had a partial lake view and construction directly below our balcony. I just expected more. The couch bed is like sleeping on a rock. I can also hear the people upstairs running and all the crackles in the ceiling of the room. I really wish I could give a better deal because they do have a nice chill area. Lakeside and I loved their coffee shop. All of the staff was friendly with an exception of the bartenders, but the manager took care of that 100% so that part was addressed. I might consider staying here in the near future if some changes are made.

Laura in the bar was super Highly recommend the Happy Hour Beautiful hotel with large room
- 5/5
Great service. Great location. Great value for money.
- 5/5
Absolutely adored this place! We had a king balcony room that overlooked the lake! So peaceful and serene. Tim was the absolute best at the bar! We sat and talked to him for hours! Love that they offer beach access. We will absolutely be back!
- 3/5
The property is very dated, decor could use a lot of attention. The drapery in rooms were tattered, door to bathroom didn't close completely, furniture is old And carpets were stained. Housekeeping is below average. We came back on one day to one of the two beds being made, the trash bag left in the middle of the floor, not vaccuumed and coffee and towels not replenished. Tey dont seem to vaccuum or regularly clean the halls or common areas much either. Someone somehow took off a chunk of the wall on a corner of the wall leading to the elavators on the 3rd floor and it was never vaccuumed or repaired for the 4 days we were there. Private beach is nice but quite small. Pool area and pool were clean. Probably will not return. Overall, disappointing especially for the price.
- 4/5
The resort and grounds are beautiful. The views are amazing. We had a room that faces the lake. That was absolutely breathtaking, however our room was very rundown. The carpet in the room is in bad shape and should be replaced. The bathroom was very beat up also. Wallpaper pealing, patch jobs done in certain areas, toilet paper holder broken. The ironing board was falling apart. We had to ask for new pillows, because the ones on the bed were like a bag of socks. As I said the Resort is beautiful, the room we had was very run down.
- 5/5
Summer 3 day 2 night stay.
- 5/5
It's my third stay in the past four weeks, and I very much have enjoyed the staff and the room, even though it is a little run down and needs a redesign. As a interior designer nationally and internationally, I see a total redo and vision for the whole project.
- 5/5
Restaurants nearby hotel. Pool is heated.
- 5/5
Very good!
- 5/5
Peaceful
- 5/5
Great place to stay. Staff was friendly, the restaurant on the property was really good, the scenery was amazing. Everything worth doing in close by and its in a great spot. . This place is worth a stay.
- 5/5
Quiet
- 4/5
Very nice to have lake access right on the property as well as the option of the pool. Dining options on the property are limited, including pool cafe/grill. The power also went on the entire property our last day so our vacation was cut short.
- 4/5
I would’ve lgivwn it a 5 but the reason I go to a hotel and not Airbnb is because I like my room made up. I was there from Friday- Sunday - no room cleaning.
- 2/5
Hotel lost power/. Poor repair throughout !!!
- 4/5
Overall everything was nice. However there was a power outage and we were unable to use the pool and most amenities on our last day. They still charged us the full amount of the resort fee regardless. Some type of discount or credit would have been a proper gesture of care. Other than that it was nice.
- 2/5
I was here to enjoy a weekend. Trying to relax. That didn't happen.. the first night I think they had a party and my room was in front of the speaker. Second day I had no room service. I had requested some towels... They didn't come till like 8 o'clock at night.
- 4/5
Nice place but needs major renovations. Views are spectacular, pool is not too cold. I wish there were more casual dining and coffee options. Staff are friendly and helpful. The EV chargers are free for guests but were never told by the hotel staff so we paid when we didn’t need to and that was a drag. But overall nice place to stay if you want to walk to the lake and go fishing in the morning.
- 5/5
The property has all the amenities my family are looking for namely the lake access, swimming pool, movie shows, bonfire, and family recreational area. The front desk personnel were very helpful in finding the best area to hike, shop, and explore.
- 5/5
We like that everything was within walking distance and the resort was spectacular.
- 3/5
I enjoyed the service and professionalism of the staff. The food was great as they had a wonderful restaurant. I didn't like paying 150 dollars for an upgraded for a balcony that ended up having a wedding right outside and constant noise throughout the day and partial night. I couldn't enjoy the balcony for that entire day/night because of it. The room could use some remodeling and the mirror fell in the middle of the night which can be very dangerous as my toddler was in the room and that mirror is very heavy (roughly 40 lbs) and being only secured by four 1/4" screws. The movie night stated Moana 2 but they played the first one which disappointed my child being excited to watch the new movie. The pool and beach were enjoyable. The hot tub was limited to one since the other wasn't operating so it was to crowded to enjoy. It was an okay experience that costed more than it should for what we got but my family still had fun overall.
- 4/5
The hotel was nice, the staff was great. The rooms are a bit outdated but clean and comfortable. The pool area needs more lounge chairs and better music:) The lake area was nice, again, there was a lack of seating here but overall a great property. We also enjoyed the very short walk to the village center. I would recommend staying at this hotel.
- 3/5
Good location.
- 2/5
Property has a good location but is old. Guest upstairs was very noisy and stomping all night. Can use a renovation. Cockroaches outside
- 2/5
This property was something else. In such poor condition, room was disgusting! Carpet was crinkly, the curtains were literally shredded half way up. There’s like 6 lounge chairs at the pool for the whole resort. The property along the lake is borderline unsafe. Cracked walks, retaining walls all shifted. The staff is virtually non existent. We waited an hour for our dinner at the restaurant at 9pm. There was 3 other tables. We checked out a day early. It’s probably the worst property I’ve ever stayed at.
- 5/5
Great
- 5/5
completely luxurious and amazing
- 5/5
Front desk clerk was very helpful with everything. Too Happy to help!
- 5/5
I actually like everything quite a bit. However, as a top tier interior designer who works nationally and around the world... the facilities definitely need to be updated and decorated accordingly. Staff has been wonderful.
- 1/5
Hotel is in a great location and overall should be a great property once renovated which is anticipated in 2026 (according to hotel staff). The problem is that until then the hotel rooms will be very unclean and unsatisfactory. Our room was dirty, disgusting, had holes in the wall, tears in the curtains and the bathroom had bugs in it. The hotel was not only old, but it was not sanitary. Literally one of the worst hotel rooms we’ve ever stayed in. Hopefully they get their act together once hotel is renovated.
- 1/5
there were aunts in our room it was so loud and the beds were dry uncomfortable I loved the whole area but im glad I didn't stay more then one night at the room was terrible
- 4/5
Our room was spacious but the decor was a bit dated. I was disappointed that there was no microwave in the room, although a microwave was available in the ice machine area. I found the bed and pillows to be very uncomfortable, but that’s just personal preference. The pool area was fantastic with views of the lake.
- 2/5
The spa was in very poor condition. It was visibly dirty, and we witnessed a staff member cleaning the floors using the same towels provided for guests to dry off after showering. She then closed the sauna, telling us it hadn’t been cleaned in two weeks. After applying Clorox, we had to wait 45 minutes for it to dry before we could use it — unacceptable in any facility claiming to offer wellness services. The spa carpet was covered in small debris and garbage, with particles stuck in the fibers, and there were no slippers provided — an unhygienic and uncomfortable oversight. The hotel rooms were also outdated, with no bathroom ventilation. While our room was finally being cleaned, the staff member had a loud speakerphone conversation with other employees, making it impossible to rest. Noise isolation in the building was poor — we could hear other guests’ conversations and footsteps from the rooms above. Overall, the hotel did not feel clean, and the service left a lot to be desired. Even the restaurant was extremely slow, taking 30–40 minutes to serve food for just three people. We would not return to this hotel and unfortunately cannot recommend it to others looking for a clean, quiet, and well-managed place to stay.
- 5/5
Amazing!!!
- 5/5
One thing I would like see improved is the condition of the trail to the resort boat docks. There are benches along the way and they are in serious disrepair. The paint is almost gone, there are spider webs and bugs all over the benches and most of the surrounding flora & fauna are dead.
- 5/5
perfect
- 5/5
Properties very old and not clean
- 4/5
Rooms and pool area need refreshing
- 5/5
Perfect one night romantic getaway…nice having the lakeshore and the pool for a dip.
- 2/5
Been going there years it’s nice family oriented place! I paid extra for lakefront/lakeside got pool view didn’t like it then the girl at front desk wasn’t very pleasant i asked for manager she said she will do something waited about 1-130 maybe more can’t remember. Once I got the new room it was worse than what I originally had. Had lake view with face restaurant trash at this point didn’t really feel like waiting another 1 hour for another room. Yes they did give me 35$ resort fee back but it’s not about the 35$ it’s more i wanted what i paid for. I didn’t want to argue with people when I’m trying to get away and relax.
- 5/5
Beautiful place to stay, definitely I will come back!
- 5/5
was looking forward to stay till late by the lake but they had to close it due to a private even. They should post it on the website so we are aware and could have picked another weekend. Friendly staff but restaurant i walked in early to see if my family can have dinner but the person said it was fully booked without checking and we called in and was able to get a table without hesitation.
- 5/5
This place gave me the relaxation I needed. I really enjoyed my stay!
- 5/5
Great place, excellent service! We asked for a quiet room on the back of the property. It was perfect for us! If you want to hear the festivities, a poolside room is for you.

The staff was nice…. Good restaurants in the area…. I will return though…

That said, the overall experience fell far below expectations, especially given the premium pricing and the way the resort is presented online. We booked a couples massage for $432, expecting a full spa experience. The jacuzzi and steam room were both out of order, and this wasn’t disclosed in advance. The “relaxation lounge” was just four hard wicker chairs and a water cooler — no ambiance, no comfort. The sound bath was held in a basement room beneath a loud gym, so the session was constantly disrupted by banging and thuds from above. Not exactly relaxing. The guest room itself was also underwhelming — bland, dated, and not well maintained. The bathroom walls had what looked like vomit stains around the toilet, and the tile grout was uneven and discolored. It all just felt… sad. Not dirty enough to walk out, but nowhere near the quality you'd expect from a “resort.” This place has potential — the location is great and the staff are gems — but the facilities, maintenance, and guest experience desperately need attention. I wouldn’t stay here again unless serious improvements are made.

The bathrooms are clean, but the carpets are really due for replacement.
