It was our first stay at Wilderness Lodge. We did a 2 night deluxe club level stay and we enjoyed it. Room was clean, the staff were friendly and helpful. The pool area was clean well maintained.
- 5/5
Food was absolutely delicious at the whispering canyon cafe. It was definitely a kid's atmosphere, but with adult flavors.
- 5/5
Family friendly atmosphere, Great amenities, Staff was friendly and knowledgeable. Accommodations were above expectations.

The only feedback is to have an ironing board

The wilderness lodge is a little slice of heaven amongst the chaos of Disney World. It's a great retreat from a long day at the park that offers more privacy than other deluxe resorts. There are plenty of dining options that offer walk-up availability, the rooms are spacious and clean, and the grounds are immaculate. Would absolutely recommend.

Hotel supervisor Ryan was very helpful in resolving a concern. Great place to celebrate birthdays.

You just can't beat this hotel at Xmas time.

Easy access to Magic Kingdom

Love this hotel, great location and transportation to the parks is awsome. Having a microwave at the room would be better for families with little kids

My husband and I spent a super cold couple days at Christmas. Our room was incredible with a beautiful view. The hotel was amazing. Can鈥檛 wait to do it again soon.
- 5/5
Is so fun, we can鈥檛 wait to go back! You鈥檒l be very happy with this trip!
- 5/5
We loved the Willdreness lodge primarily because it is a very comfortable place to stay at. The lobby is always airy and it never feels overcrowdes as it does in some other resorts. The boat ride to Magic Kingdom is amazing:) The downside is that the pool for kids is kind of small and there is not much food wise. The only place you can eat at without a reservation has a very tiny menue. So, there is not much to choose from. The staff in the Roaring fork is super nice. The staff at the front desk is less nice and less efficient. The laundry on our side of the hotel was pretty poorly maintained so I wanted to use the one on the other side of the Hotel but nobody at the front desk told me my key does not open it. This caused several trips up and down the hotel until we figured out they need to give us a separate key. All if thia could have been avoided uf only the front desk staff gave the right information once I notified them of the mulfunction at our laundry room. Anyhow, this is not a reason to avoid this Hotel. The beds are super comfy and the doors and rooma have good sound isolation. Having a balcony was a real plus. We would come again.
- 5/5
Had a great time - hotel lived up to the Disney experience. High level of service especially at check-in and check-out, comfortable rooms, and easy access to the parks and Disney Springs. Definitely recco.
- 5/5
Typical Disney cleanliness is far and above all other resorts.
- 5/5
Service of staff. Hard to get a hold of people and it also seemed very do it yourself type of hotel.
- 5/5
Transport to parks
- 5/5
I enjoyed the Wilderness Lodge very much. The lobby is beautiful, you feel like you鈥檙e in a massive log cabin. The room isn鈥檛 fancy (especially the bathroom), but clean, comfortable and practical. Nice tv. The location was excellent. You can take a boat to the magic kingdom. Or a bus to any of the other parks (or the Contemporary where you can get the monorail). We tried the Roaring Fork (for a quick serve type lunch and muffins for breakfast and snacks) and Geyser Point for a lite dinner. Both were good. Only complaint was I would have loved a little ice cream shop.
- 5/5
With the reduced pandemic housekeeping services, having no room cleaning services for most part of my 5 night trip was bizarre, especially given the price point. Highly recommended.
- 5/5
First class as expected for Disney
- 5/5
Always a wonderful experience
- 5/5
However, would have liked a microwave in the room and water in the vending machine (6th floor).
- 5/5
A magically themed resort! We had a great experience.

Enjoyed anniversary stay for one night, very clean ,quiet and comfortable!!!
- 5/5
This was a last minute booking. We were already in Disney and wanted to stay an extra night. This property is beautiful. We ended up on the concierge floor even tho they don鈥檛 offer that anymore. Which in its self was an upgrade in my mind. The room was beautiful and clean. Looked like they just built it. We had a view of the castle and got to see the fire works at night. It was amazing!
- 5/5
Best Disney stay ever!!! Would do the same stay every single time
- 5/5
The place was wonderful. The attention to detail was magical. The room was comfortable and the staff was friendly. The amenities were great. The lobby is gorgeous.
- 5/5
Closeness to Disney
- 5/5
The only disappointment was we couldn't eat at the restaurant for breakfast. We walked up about 8 am and were turned away since we had no 'reservation'. There were lots of empty tables. I never had to make a reservation at a hotel where I was staying before. Call me old fashioned but that's not good hospitality. I'm not a millenial or on my phone 24/7. I choose not to be. The changes in making people use phones all day is not a good one. I get the 'no contact' reason but turning people away when they've spent $450 a night to stay there is absurd.
- 5/5
The convenience of it being so close to magic kingdom
- 5/5
Wilderness is my favorite hotel. Rooms recently renovated and are beautiful as always.Disney staff always friendly and go above and beyond. Very happy to get this rate through Expedia.
- 5/5
I like how they built the hotel the same way as a Indian
- 5/5
Main dining restaurant was closed~ not enough staff! Booooo
- 2/5
Was treated poorly by front desk and givin wrong room so I had to lug around 3kids and luggage for an hour
- 5/5
Just one night stay, but had smaxing food and loads of fun! Awsome mini family vacation!
- 3/5
Has a nice lodge feel even though it kind of looks fake. Would have liked to see better food offerings. Be prepared to use your smart phone for everything including food orders. Check in and buying anything was a slow process.
- 5/5
It was wonderful to stay at Wilderness Lodge. All the transportation to all the parks and attractions were convenient. We never waited for more than 10 minutes for rides. My only negative feedback is that I wished that the resort had a eatery/cafe that was open later. Usually we would get back from parks late and we would like to have a snack or drink and all the restaurants and store would be closed.
- 5/5
The property was close to Magic Kingdom and we could see the fireworks show from Cinderellas castle.
- 5/5
Gorgeous hotel with excellent, modern rooms. Nice furnishings and plenty of outlets. Taking the boat to ML is magical. Food options were somewhat limited and all ended around 10pm which was before some parks even closed.
- 5/5
Great resort.
- 5/5
The theming was fantastic! Not too over the top Disney but still with all the magic touches! And the staff were phenomenal!
- 4/5
1) The shower didn鈥檛 work properly. We had to get a mechanic to shut it off after over an hour of water waste. 2) Our room overlooked an overhang that had dirty socks and trash on it. Time to clean the roof. What we loved: Obviously the temper theme is amazing. Our room had a fireworks view (see pic). There were games for the kids to play (table tennis and pool) as well as a Mickey Mouse scavenger hunt. The swimming pool was great too.
- 5/5
hotel was excellent definitely will stay there again
- 4/5
Other than the water issue, our transportation experience was good/ convenient. From the Disney Magical Express to the water boats and shuttle buses, wait time was very minimal.
- 5/5
Wilderness lodge is amazing! Its magical! You are close to the hustle and bustle of the parks but far enough removed to feel like you are deep in the quaint wilderness. Its truly amazing! The pools! The restaurants! The atmosphere! AMAZING!
- 3/5
The acoustics were terrible, you could hear the people in the next room-and you could hear the kids running and moving stuff all night long in the room above us
- 4/5
Enjoyed our stay, but disappointed in the room. For $400+, we expected more than a normal room with just ok amenities. Had to move furniture to get to outlet, nothing in night stand. Everything else was great! I would stay there again but get a very different room.
- 4/5
Family trip (3 generations) for first trip To Disney. Crowded but fun. Lots of wear and tear on this property. Not well informed about airline procedures. Nice to have Snow White Dinner here instead of another place! Be prepared to walk and walk and walk!
- 5/5
Love the location, staff and amenities at the hotel
- 5/5
We loved the water playground & the boat to Magic Kingdom! If you are pressed for time, take the bus instead. It is extremely fast compared to the boat. Food options were great & the lobby was simply stunning. Larger than life hotel. Can't wait to go back.
- 5/5
Location to magic Kingdom and the boat service.
- 5/5
Fabulous location and theming. Staff went out of their way to make our stay special.
- 4/5
Loved the hotel overall, very woodsy and cabin like. Hotel was clean and stay was personable. I just dont鈥檛 Like that disney slapped on a bogus $24.00 a night parking fee!! Like really my boyfriend Andy I had already paid for the hotel in full b4 arrival and bought tickets for Disney World but they still charge a parking fee, was told this is a relatively new policy but it a bad one. Good thing we only stayed 1 night.
- 5/5
Very kid friendly
- 4/5
Everything was great except there were tiny bugs in the sink when i got up at 4:45 to catch my flight out. Maybe tiny sand fleas? IDK. The ran between the sink and counter join. Didnt seem harmful but surprised me.
- 4/5
Boat transportation to Disney world, too much noise can be heard through the walls
- 4/5
The staff are nice
- 2.5/5
rooms need to be renovated restaurant too small and not enough dining options
- 5/5
I liked that this property is close to the parks. Taking a boat ride to the Magic Kingdom is almost as good as a theme park ride. Property was clean and there were a lot of things to do.

The mattress was completely caved in. I cleaned mold off some of the shower tiles. The dresser bureau had drawers that drifted open and my son stabbed his shin on one in the middle of the night on the way to the bathroom.
- 5/5
The pool is great. Quiet, close to Disney's parks.
- 5/5
FAntastic stay for the entire family. Also ask about scavenger hunt.
- 4/5
We stayed at Disney's Wilderness Lodge in December. I highly recommend visiting during Christmas time as WL has some of the best decorations of all the Disney hotels. Food was good, staff was friendly. My only complaint was the air conditioning. They've updated theirs to the type of AC units that turn off if it doesn't detect motion so they save money when people are at the parks. That's great, but ours would kick off every few minutes during the night. It also will not tell you the temperature of the actual room but only what you set it to. I spent the night tossing and turning. I would've definitely talked to the front desk about it if we were staying longer but we only stayed one night before a Disney cruise and I didn't want to wake other members of our party who were able to fall asleep by having someone come service it at 1 in the morning.
- 5/5
Loved my stay here! Room a bit on the smaller side, but hotel staff and cleanliness were awesome! Pool slide is smaller for a deluxe but fun nonetheless.
- 5/5
Best Disney resort we have stayed at! Excellent in all aspects!
- 5/5
Everything was great as Disney always is. One exception was an elevator was out so it was a long wait to get on. Also typical Disney
- 3/5
Way over priced for what you get.
- 4/5
Was well maintained. Food is pretty average, clean rooms, excellent service
- 4/5
Also, the complications involving the linking of the wrist bands took entirely too much of our time
- 4/5
Staff very friendly and attentive, hotel amenities was on point Ate at whispering canyon - food was decent, had not realised the staff put on a sassy performance! Darn terrified when the waitress dropped her tray and seemed so mad when I was being indecisive. Probably not one for Brits... Naturally, very pricey
- 5/5
Wilderness Lodge is a welcoming and relaxed home away from home. The cast members are extremely friendly and eager to make your visit magical. Great property, excellent service, many dining options and transportation to and from the parks and other resorts is so convenient. We will return as often as budget allows. Love it.
- 4/5
The proximity to the parks and the atmosphere of the lodge are great. I've stayed here and animal kingdom lodge and I would choose wilderness Lodge without question .
- 5/5
nice - great place been there before always good for the kids.
- 4/5
I think this hotel has a great view and its very beautiful from inside and also from outside ,but its swimming pool was very dirty and staffs at cafe next to entrance wererude.
- 5/5
Rooms r ready for a refurbish!
- 5/5
We travelled as a family to our annual summer trip to Orlando and were lucky enough to stay at this wonderful Hotel once again. From the imposing entrance to the awesome lobby 1st impressions will not disappoint, and the stay just keeps on giving. If you get the opportunity to stay here - DO IT. There is simply nothing bad I can say about this place.
- 3/5
Boo Disney. However, the next time we stayed (and I think the last time we will stay) I requested a bath mat at the check in desk. Who would have thought ?????!!
- 5/5
We had a wonderful time with 11 family members. The hotel looks like the Old Faithful Lodge in Yellowstone and has convenient dining choices at reasonable rates. It was a convenient and fun boat ride to get to Magic Kingdom! The staff was friendly, courteous and helpful to the max! We loved, also, that at the end of our stay we could print boarding passes and check luggage from there which they took to the airport and we did not see it again until we landed in San Francisco. Then, when we were ready to leave we took the Magic Express with our carryons and just went thru security to our gate. It was the easiest thing in the world!
- 3/5
I chose this hotel because it would be easy to access the Magic Kingdom, which it was. The boat to the park was really great. However, the hotel rooms are outdated and very dark. The beds were comfortable, though. I made a reservation at what I thought would be a good restaurant at the hotel, Whispering Canyon. It wasn't. Be aware that the dinner platter costs $33/person and the milkshakes are $9. The prices are not on the menu, and I guess I should have asked, but....I didn't.
- 5/5
excellent stay! always a favorite Disney hotel. close to magic kingdom, beautiful pool and grounds.
- 4/5
This is a beautiful resort very close to the Magic Kingdom. We loved being able to take the ferry, however, it doesn't start to run until 30 minutes prior to the park opening. If you have an early breakfast reservation or are going to the MK an hour early to browse along Main St, then you will need to take an Uber ot Lyft car. The buses do start running an hour before the opening, but that won't get you there in time either. Buses also do not wait! The first one pulled away at 7:59am, with the next one not due for approx 20 min, so we had to call a Minnie van ($30) or else miss our breakfast reservation. Would like to see an earlier start to the complimentary transportation options. Also, we had requested 2 connecting rooms, and they were not available to us when we checked in. We would have been able to get them the following night, but that would have meant packing up all of our bags and leaving them with the bell desk prior to leaving for the park at 7:30am, and then re-checking in when we returned in the evening. Decided it wasn't worth the hassle for only 2 more nights. Something to consider if you absolutely need the rooms to connect, you might be better off with one of the 2 bedroom options. Rooms were very clean, although not very large. Got to watch the fireworks from our balcony each night, which was terrific! Would certainly stay here again, but would also consider Contemporary (walk to MK )or Grand Floridian to be on the monorail. All in a fabulous stay!
- 5/5
The newest of the on-site properties, it was perfection.
- 4/5
I do believe it was a magical experience however it was very costly. I thinks the pricing for the hotel is too expensive. You can鈥檛 enjoy other purchase while there when you know your paying near $500 a night for a stay
- 4/5
Beautiful, clean, awesome staff. We were in a room where the boats docked. The boat horns drove us crazy starting early in the morning and into the evening. Great place. Just ask for a room away from the boat dock.
- 5/5
Awesome property...gorgeous rooms...friendly staff...convenient transportation.
- 5/5
As always, thrilled to our core when we stay here while visiting Disney!
- 4/5
Loved the beds and the ceiling fan. Would love to have a microwave in room and the water smelled bad but other than that it was a wonderful stay!! Thoughtful additions such as a ceiling fan in the room, after burn gel, lots of towels. Choice of 3 restaurants in the hotel and love the boat ride to Magic Kingdom!
- 5/5
The Check in was very quick and easy, The Disney experience started as we moved through the security gate to the hotel, the Lobby was unbelievable, the rooms were all very nice and quite, the transportation to and from the parks were right on time and didn't seem as crowded as in many of the other hotels we had stayed at before. The crickets chirping at night, and birds in the morning were such a great addition. The pool was great and not crowded, and the water front bar was absolutely wonderful and full of very happy people. We have stayed in a number of Disney hotels, this was one of the best and rivals the Grand Floridian, all they need is some live music in the great hall. You will enjoy this quite and peaceful hotel. One thing to remember is when you go to the restaurant in the Lobby don't ask for Ketchup, you might get more than you bargained for. A super Stay at Disney for the family.
- 5/5
Great staff memebers extremely friendly and helpful. The room was clean and had a great view.
- 4/5
The place is a palace. However, multiple employees told us different answers about when restaurants were open until, leaving us with no food.
- 4/5
Nice place. Boat transportation to Magic Kingdom a nice touch.
- 5/5
nice staff, great atmosphere, coffee pot, small fridge,
- 5/5
Spacious rooms with amazing decor. Truly one of the nicest hotels we have ever stayed at.
- 4/5
Other than that, the hotel was great. We loved Geyser Point and Territory Lounge. A nice time!
- 5/5
Love this place. Clean, great food. Friendly staff. Family Oriented.
- 5/5
Great hotel--near Magic Kingdom but feels like you
- 5/5
Very nice location. Room is small for the price, especially for a family.
- 5/5
Great staff and hotel experience. booking was incorrect but not hotel fault.
- 4/5
The hotel was undergoing a re-furb - they gave us these cute Mickey and friends construction pins because of their "pixie dust" to make hotel improvements. Really, it was fine. There was construction but it was being worked at a reasonable hour. Hotel itself was clean and comfortable. We had an awesome view of the park and transportation services. Boat service to the Magic Kingdom was very fast and easy to get from the park to the hotel. The quiet pool was closed because of the hotel rehab so the main pool felt a little cramped, but those are princess problems. Geyser point grill was awesome. Hotel staff was great. I'd stay there again (construction and all). It will be awesome once construction is complete.
- 5/5
This is one of my favorite hotels at Disney. It is close to the Magic Kingdom. The staff is friendly and helpful. Our room was comfortable and clean. I love the ambience of the Wilderness Lidge. It is the perfect place to relax after a day at the parks.
- 5/5
Hotel was great. It was our first time and we loved it. The only down side was the construction going on, so some amenities were closed. They are refurbishing rooms, building new villas and even adding a walking/bike path. But even with this going on we still enjoyed ourselves. The architecture is fantastic; truly fits it's name. Best part for us was ferry service; direct and private to Magic Kingdom and never was a long line going or returning. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
- 2/5
Hotel needs complete renovation. For the money just not worth it.
- 5/5
Rooms were spacious and clean. Hotel staff was VERY accommodating and nice. Our daughter got sick on the last day of our trip and the staff was very understanding and helpful. The ferry ride to Magic Kingdom is very convenient and makes going back and forth from the park so easy! Definitely recommended!!
- 3/5
We were told that check in was at 3. We got there at 3 and we're told that the room wasn't ready, so we went to eat. We came back 90 minutes later, wanting to go to our room. We were given a room number, but when we got there, the key didn't work! Someone else was in the room. We went back downstairs & found out that the room number given to us was wrong. The manager apologized & provided service recovery, but the restaurant on the first floor was so loud that we could hear people SCREAMING in our room, on the FIFTH floor!
- 4/5
When speaking to a manager, And explaining I was at Disney resorts over 20 times in past 25 yrs., I was told that it did. It matter whether I had been there "once" or "twenty" times, all guests get the same service. Shame in DISNEY. This is no way to run a company. Return/loyal customers are the heart and soul of the success of this type of industry.
- 3/5
Understand rooms will be remodeled - GOOD - decor dated, poor lighting, poor bathroom amenities. Excellent service, helpful staff, but will not return unless remodeling complete
- 4/5
Really nice but a lot of construction and multiple restaurant closures. We weren't notified of this until we got a phone call 2 days before our trip. Other than that, the pool was excellent and so was the staff. Food was mediocre but 2 places were closed so maybe better. The trip was fun.
- 4/5
The lodge is great. It has super convenient direct access to Magic Kingdom, but there's an extensive renovation currently underway. There was only one elevator currently operational during our stay to service roughly 7 floors of guest rooms. Food choices were limited as well as the Roaring Forks restaurant was undergoing a renovation as well. Looking forward to the new rooms!
- 5/5
We had an enjoyable stay here even though the king size bed we booked through Expedia was not available and we ended up with a room with two beds. Expedia shouldn't offer what they can't deliver and I hope I didn't pay extra! That would not make me very happy. Otherwise, the pool area is nice. There are two hot tubs, a kiddie pool and a large pool with slide. The best thing is the convenience of getting to each park or to Disney Springs. Buses come about every 20 minutes and there is a boat to Magic Kingdom. Staff were all friendly except for an attitude I detected from Marie over the room not being a king. I felt like they didn't want to do much since the room was not booked directly through Disney. She did offer a villa room eventually but my husband likes the lodge. The breakfast was good at the lobby restaurant but you really need reservations. Otherwise, the canteen style was also good for quick style food and the cashier was really nice there.
- 4/5
Great location and nice amenities. There was construction so the view was kind of disappointing (for now)... but the location and extras made it an amazing weekend. We will return!
- 5/5
Wow!!!! The service was simply 5 star! We were there to celebrate my husbands birthday! The food was amazing as well! Highly recommend whether it's for a romantic getaway or a family retreat!!!
- 3/5
The main complaint was the condition of the bed mattress. Terrible.
- 4/5
I like everything from door. The excellent experience. The beautiful location and architecture.
- 5/5
We so enjoyed sitting in front of the fireplace in the main lodge. The elevators to access the rooms are slow or maybe they need more? Anyway, the Christmas/Holiday d茅cor was perfect and we'd book there again.
- 4/5
Nice hotel, nice to transfer to magic kingdom by boat
- 5/5
Hotel under refurbishment. Bus and boat Transportation available but very intermittent. Love the Christmas decorations.
- 3/5
It is not as good as expected. Assigned room is on ground floor close to exit for stroller exit. A lot of noise when people in/out of that exit. Room is not updated and noticed a lot of dust. Won't be back on the hotel in future.
- 4/5
spent 36 hrs inside while hurricane Matthew outside. slept like a baby. Well built, quiet comfortable resort
- 5/5
Excellent. Except room was small and location overlooked construction and a swampy pond
- 4/5
Transportation was disappointing. The buses and boats took quite awhile to come.
