The place is clean and the facilities are nice and updated. The restaurant and bar was not what I hoped but the staff and the food was acceptable. There is plenty of parking and the hotel location is off the highway but located in a nice business park.

This is a great little hotel. We stay every time we visit our son at the College! The only thing missing is a free continental breakfast!

Clean rooms, friendly/helpful staff. Overall a really good experience. Only negatives are the pillows suck (compact so much you need 3 just to lay flat) and the gym is lacking quite a bit. Just free weights and flat bench. You need a free standing machine as well.

I stay here everytime I come to visit my daughter and this is really the first time ive had a complaint. I had two rooms for this trip.And both of them smelt very bad.

It seems the eating area had been updated downstairs. I’ve been updated but not the rooms. The TVs were very old. Could not pair Netflix or any streaming device to the TV so we just use our iPads to watch TV, although there is cable instead of flipping channels, we just watched our streaming devices

The complementary breakfast was not complementary, the room was clean, the Staff was very nice, but Jasmin was exceptional, and the Parking was easy to park.

Broken ice machines, trash in the ice bucket from another person's previous stay, not sure if the sheets are clean as they were pulled up like someone was in the bed, no toilet paper. I've stayed in "lower end" hotels that were better maintained. Staff not too willing to assist. Would definitely stay somewhere else.

We have stayed there many times. It is always clean. The Staff is always friendly and helpful. Rooms are spacious.

Cleaning staff seemed miffed when you asked if they were possibly going to clean our room .. it was 4:00 in the afternoon and this was after they didn’t clean room the prior day. I didn’t do anything about it because it was midnight when we returned to hotel so there we were, making our own bed and trying to sort out which towels were cleanest to re-use .. not good.

The Hilton Garden Inn was within 15 minutes of Lake Forest College, and 15 minutes the other direction to Vernon Hills where a larger shopping area with restuarants are. The property was large enough to accommodate us, rooms were spacious and clean, and all of the staff were very nice. Particularly the morning breakfast staff.

Everything was great except the mattress on our bed. Me and my husband had issues with the mattress, was not comfortable.

Our window faced a concrete wall. My pillow smelled like an armpit. Front desk changed it right away. But it made me question the cleanliness of everything else.

Only two minor “complaints” were the tvs in the room were outdated and no complimentary breakfast. $17 for a subpar meal seems a little steep. I ended up going down the street for $13 a person and received way better food.

So, we were hesitant to stay at another Hilton. However, this one exceeded expectations. Lobby much nicer, great service and housekeeping was daily and lasted throughout the day. Just as affordable, but much nicer and seemed better quality overall.

I think this property is very nice and comfortable and a good deal. The beds are excellent and I love that I can grab ice water, coffee or cookies in the lobby.

A perfectly fine basic hotel, although my room was so close the highway, the noise was disturbing to my sleep. The manager kindly offered to bring ear plugs; I would have preferred an offer of a room change but perhaps none were abailable.

The hotel was okay...nothing in particular wrong with it. I thought on the website that it would have been a little better and more included. I get the business concept of not having a breakfast included with the price, but I believe most consumers are elastic on the price of the room of they feel like they're getting a great value for their dollar (like "free" breakfast). I totally understand the economics from a business perspective, but you have to think about it from the consumer's perspective and "merchandizing".

Everything was up to par except for 1 very important thing THE BED! Niether my husband nor I got any sleep. My back, hips and kneck hurt throughout the night and the rest of the day. We stayed in the area after a dinner party and did not want to drive home. But I asked my husband to take me home several times that night. We would have left in middle of night but he wanted to shop in the area the next day. Very disappointed with a $200 room sleeping like a $60 room.
