The property advertises that it includes breakfast. This is an expensive hotel, not an Econolodge type hotel. When you arrive at the very beautiful breakfast room, only the bread, cereal, coffee, and juice is included. They charge you for the hot food. And the cereal is served in the single serving box. It feels like a bait and switch. They get all the hotel guests to come for breakfast and after sitting at the table and reading the menu you find out it isn’t really included as advertised.

What a beautiful, charming hotel in Los Altos! Step out of the ordinary and into a world of peace and quite, delicious quizine, and 24/7 professional staff that make you feel right at home. Relax in the one of a kind decorated French themed rooms that are tastefully done so much you feel like you never want to leave. Wine down your day with a fine dining experience indoors or outdoors on their beautiful patio. We have fallen in love with California, and with The Enchanted Boutique Hotel!

Very comfortable and convenient. Walking distance to shops and restaurants.

Was amazing. They treat you like family.

I’ve already mentioned a lot of wonderful things about this boutique hotel on my first review. Staffs and the owner are amazing .. the location is very good and walkable to all those local shops..
- 5/5
Our hotel room itself was comfortable and just as nicely decorated. During our stay, the bathroom door handle broke and Christian fixed it promptly without a hassle. It was clear they truly cared about guest comfort and service. We also had the pleasure of meeting the owner Abby, who was incredibly friendly and we’re glad to have met. Overall, this hotel combined excellent hospitality, great food, classic French charm into a memorable experience. We would happily stay here again.

We use to get welcome wine and charcuterie board which was such a nice touch but this was stopped. Wine is supposed to be offered but we never got any.

Very quiet room considering it was adjacent to busy roads.

Gorgeous and classic French ambiance. A rare find and treat to stay at. Plus very pet friendly. The free breakfast items, were not what I expected, but the pay for menu items were exceptional.

The location was tucked away in a surprisingly quiet corner where what seems two main roads split. The hotel is walking distance to small shops, cafes and accessible to their Sunday farmers market. The inside of the hotel is very cute and our room was beautiful. Small detail but I really liked the discreet door key card sensor. I liked the layout of the room and the size of the bathroom. The bed was so comfortable and cozy, with a nice view near the window. We'd love to come back for a longer stay.

Enchante is located right in in the heart of Los Altos and is a boutique hotel that might as well be located in the heart of France. The fixtures and furnishings are wonderful, as is their small, elegant restaurant, Campagne. The hotel does not offer parking, and all of the lots nearby are either business-owned or time-limited (2-3 hours maximum, Monday through Saturday, between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m.).

The bed and pillows were comfortable, and the shower was enjoyable. They also offered a free glass of wine with our stay. The hotel has a charming feel, and there is a lot of potential here. However, there were a few areas that affected the overall experience. Unfortunately, the air conditioning did not function during our stay. The television was quite dated and did not support streaming apps such as Netflix, HBO, or Hulu. Additionally, there was only one bedside table, which made it inconvenient for one guest to place personal items like a water bottle or phone. The room was advertised as including a complimentary breakfast. In practice, this consisted of coffee and a bagel or croissant. While appreciated, this felt more like a light snack, especially given that the menu lists fuller breakfast options such as eggs and French toast. Lastly, the television screen had several bright spots visible during viewing, which was very distracting. Overall, the hotel is cute and could truly be a gem with a few thoughtful updates. I hope this feedback is helpful, as many of these items seem easily addressed and would greatly improve the guest experience. It did not feel welcoming.

It was our second time there so no surprises... Staff and facilities are lovely
- 5/5
Nice room with fireplace with European style! The smell was amazing. They have a nice terrace outdoor. There is no room service , water was from the focet and does taste bad!

- 5/5
the most charming hotel !! super friendly kind accommodating staff !!! the food is so delicious !!!
- 5/5
Very nice hotel and right in downtown! Karla the front desk was great! Helped with anything I needed
- 5/5
We needed to book a hotel in the area somewhat urgently in order to deal with a family emergency. The staff could not have been more helpful and gracious. From perfect accommodations to wonderful food and generous help, we had everything we needed in order to make an uncomfortable situation an extremely pleasant experience. We are looking forward to staying here again, and we will no doubt enjoy the incredible bath products, fluffy robes, excellent staff, delicious food, and great location.
- 5/5
Small, super charming, clean, well maintained and decorated hotel right at downtown Los Altos. Lots of dinning options near by, all walkable. Staff were great! Our bedroom was great, clean, comfortable, even smelled great. Definitely a boutique hotel!
- 5/5
Just amazing people from the maid to the waiter to the front desk to the manager. Room is nice (great bed and beautiful bathroom) and very conveniently located (restaurants and Safeway in walking distance). The hotel restaurant has outdoor seating (in California weather!). And you can have a croissant (from France!)
- 5/5
Lovely!!
- 3/5
Our room had a heavy musty smell. Comfy bed. No smart TV. Bathroom curtain too short so that water leaks out. Toilet constantly running.
- 5/5
And very pet friendly
- 5/5
The staff at the hotel and dining area were great. We love the theme and will come again in the future.
- 5/5
Lovely boutique hotel right on the edge of downtown with easy access to shops and restaurants. Very helpful and friendly staff too.
- 4/5
Nice little hotel in quaint downtown Los Altos. Near shops and dining. Staff very friendly and accommodating. Missing ice access for rooms and ours did not have two bedside tables, otherwise very comfortable.
- 5/5
We enjoyed our stay, the hotel fit our needs perfectly. It reminded me of being in a hotel in Europe.
- 5/5
lovely hotel, really close to all the restaurants/bars in town, definitely will be back
- 5/5
Great stay. Dinner was wonderful.
- 5/5
Wonderful stay! Staff was lovely .
- 5/5
Great place. Really cool location.
- 4/5
Luckily, we visited on a Sunday so street parking which normally is 2-hour limitation was exempt. We had a two-night reservation but had to leave after one night through no fault of the Hotel. The Sunday check in staff was amazing and did their best to get us settled and comfortable with the parking issue and the fact that the restaurant closes after brunch on Sunday. Unfortunately, one of the reasons we chose this property was because of the onsite restaurant so we would not have to leave after we checked in for the night. All worked out as there are many eating establishments nearby. Would definitely consider this an option again if in the area.
- 3/5
Overall a nice property for the price. Unfortunately, our air conditioning did not work during the night and it was very hot. Lunch at the restaurant was good, breakfast was not very good and service slow.
- 5/5
Always wonderful
- 5/5
Very cozy and friendly
- 5/5
Overall, we will definitely return.
- 5/5
Terrific place and stay!
- 5/5
They are always welcoming and helpful here.
- 5/5
Very nice hotel with a good staff.
- 5/5
Our room was lovely, clean, and very comfortable. A true hidden gem-we can’t wait to come back!
- 5/5
Staff members were excellent
- 4/5
Ok. Convenient location. Service was meh
- 5/5
Always enjoy staying at this hotel. Staff is attentive and friendly and the rooms are comfortable and well appointed. I’ll be back!
- 5/5
The physical plant was charming and comfortable and the staff was very attentive and friendly!
- 3/5
There was unpleasant smell in the bathroom. Wifi quality is terribly low. Breakfast was very basic, extra charge for the coffee.
- 5/5
Internet could be better
- 4/5
The Hotel is small but well located in town. The room was clean but a bit crowded with perhaps too much furniture. We did like the late afternoon wine and cheese plate which was delivered to our room. What we did not appreciate is that apparently the heating and air conditioning systems are centralized so there is no ability for the guest to control the temperature.....our room was too warm and uncomfortable for both my wife and myself. Not certain we would return......
- 5/5
She loves anything french and this rose to ultimate french experience
- 5/5
Lovely hotel, very comfortable stay. We enjoyed our stay would definitely stay there again.
- 5/5
We absolutely loved our stay here! From the friendly staff to the fireplace in the room, to the incredibly soft sheets - it was amazing. I usually have a hard time sleeping at hotels, but I fell asleep almost instantly here. So, so nice.
- 5/5
The complimentary glass of wine in the evening.

Super cute.
- 3/5
Sadly, my room had a broken faucet and when the staff fixed it, a terrible sewer smell came out and it gave me a headache. I had to move rooms at 2:30am. The staff was quick to resolve it, but offered nothing for my troubles and ultimately I did not sleep well. The beds are very hard. The hotel is only 7 years old but does have a "old world" feel about it. They offered old/antique desks. Breville coffee makers with sugar/cream packets. The building is beautiful and offers a wonderful outdoor patio and located right in Los Altos downtown and is the only hotel in town, I believe. Easy to walk around the little town and enjoy the shops. Their complimentary breakfast included a fresh scone, and that was PHENOMENAL. The other food I ordered and paid for was an omelette and it was "ok". Lattes were terrible but the brewed coffee was pretty good. They did offer free parking just across the street. Cost $320/night felt overpriced based upon the quality of the amenities they offered but the staff is very nice. Not sure I will return.
- 5/5
Quirky boutique hotel. Very friendly and helpful staff.
- 5/5
This is a beautiful Paris inspired boutique hotel. We had reserved a deluxe room that was perfect for our wedding night. The breakfast the next morning was delicious. Highly recommend staying here if you are in the Los Altos area.
- 5/5
Great location on Main St. With ample of free parking and access to all the shops and bars and restaurants of Los Altos. Our room was well appointed, clean, cosy and has good sound proofing. Best part of the stay was the ability to converse with Christian, our front desk manager, in fluent French and his attention to my wife’s needs and comments. Genuine and generous hospitality! We wouldn’t hesitate to return here should the need arise in our travel.
- 5/5
Nice stay, enjoyed sitting with a glass of wine on the patio in the evening sunshine before walking to dinner downtown.
- 5/5
The only thing not perfect was the Internet service. There was a known problem according to staff, WiFi was not providing net access for some phones. Seemed to work for IOS devices while refusing to work for at least some Android devices.
- 4/5
Charming and well appointed. Definitely did not feel like a motel lodge. The front desk and breakfast staff were so pleasant. We definitely enjoyed the glass of wine when returned in the evening. The surrounding town with cute cafes and restaurants was a plus when tired of driving.
- 5/5
Convenient and pleasant
- 4/5
Lovely studio room with an electric fireplace and a very comfortable bed. Quiet hotel with easy walking to banks, shops, cafes & transit. No microwave in the room, but staff kindly brought up hot water for tea as needed.
- 5/5
The staff Erika in particular was spectacular as usual. Never does less than way and above expectations. Wonderful stay.
- 5/5
Everything about this property was exceptional including the staff, the accommodations, the amenities and the restaurant. Thank you fir a wonderful travel experience.
- 5/5
Always a wonderful stay at the Enchante. The staff is wonderful. The rooms are beautiful and quiet. Always such a special treat to stay at such a beautiful hotel
- 5/5
Location was excellent…able to park our car and walk everywhere. Never have we slept in such a quiet room! I appreciated the homemade croissants and granola components to our breakfast and also the complementary cheeses and wine in the afternoon.
- 3/5
Nice hotel. Food was okay. No cellphone service and their wifi only worked for iphones. Our tv had some white spots on the screen. Not a terrible spot but nothing to brag about. Probably wont stay here again though.
- 3/5
Fairly spacious room with a balcony that can't be used due to local regulations. Only the continental breakfast is free so that eggs or French toast are extra. The photos of the Hotel may make it look like it's in an isolated green space but it is actually right in town and doesn't have its own parking lot so you get a sticker for free parking a block away. Service was generally very good but I was put off when the desk told me they do not provide a receipt at check out. This seems out of order.
- 5/5
This is our favorite place to stay when visiting family in Northern California. Attentive staff, immaculate rooms and a first class breakfast.
- 3/5
The hotel is nice, the location is nice, the staff is very friendly, the afternoon complimentary wine and cheese is very pleasant, and yet...."Enchante" in French means "delighted, overjoyed" but we were not. The room assigned upon check-in was so badly soundproofed that we could hear a phone conversation through what seemed to be a very thin wall. Th second room was just OK, certainly not what we expected for the "De Luxe" room we had reserved. It was clearly much less than the 350 sq.ft. it was supposed to be and several issues had to be addressed the next morning, one of them a damaged armchair. It appeared later that this change had been indeed a downgrade to at best a "Premier" room with no adjustment since the room was prepaid. You expect the "Free breakfast" to mean full breakfast, but it is only a continental breakfast, a very good one, indeed, but if you want 2 eggs, it will be an extra 20$.
- 4/5
My only issue is parking since you have to find and use public parking nearby and usually have to walk a little with luggage to get in.
- 4/5
were very courteous and professional.
- 5/5
Christian, the GM is the best! I will always stay here when In town. Comfy beds, wine in the evenings and delicious breakfast to start the day.
- 5/5
This is the most incredible “treat” to visit. The staff, every last one, has excellent over the top customer service. The hotel is clean, quiet and beautifully decorated.
- 5/5
This boutique hotel is delightful and a gem in the bay area! It is beautifully and thoughtfully laid out. All the rooms are unique with themed French decorations. Every aspect of our visit was just a pleasure down to the little details. The staff was exceptionally kind and helpful. I will definitely be back!
- 4/5
Nice hotel with character. Stayed in Supreme King room with a deep stand alone bath tub. Note: wifi doesn't work if you have an Android phone; get instructions online for a workaround. Internet connection in downtown Los Altos is generally pretty slow. Great leisure hotel, not as much if you need to work.
- 5/5
Comfortable and lovely hotel. The food was delicious, and the staff was attentive. Will come again.
- 5/5
Great place to stay in Los Altos, love the breakfast and a glass of wine in the evening.
- 5/5
So thoughtfully appointed. Staff were amazing especially Hugo! Lovely property. Good excellent. Cannot wait to stay again!
- 5/5
Very comfortable and the staff was friendly and helpful. The atmosphere was quaint and romantic.
- 5/5
The only areas for improvement are that the toilet seat was too loose and wobbly and there wasn’t enough storage space to put our belongings. Otherwise, a wonderful stay!
- 5/5
The staff are very helpful and accomodating.
- 5/5
Nice room. Great decor. Nice champagne and cheese plater upon arrival. Only downer is parking is difficult if you have a car and luggage, especially if arriving during First Friday.
- 5/5
It was the best hotel in the area. The service is 10.
- 4/5
Very nice hotel. Room was small - standard king. Near a busy street- some road noise.
- 3/5
It was next too a big number of shops
- 5/5
Charming with excellent food.
- 5/5
Really unique and amazing hotel
- 5/5
We are treated like royalty!
- 4/5
Very clean room, nice bathroom and great bed and sheets.
- 5/5
Very cute and nice hotel in a nice little town. Just what you need now. Christian was supper nice and very welcoming. We had a great stay . Thank you.
- 5/5
Our visit here for Valentine's Day was perfect! This place looks like it came straight from 17th Century France but the interior is new and incredibly clean. The staff was awesome and kind -- the food was great, and I found that we derived a lot of value for what we paid. I plan to come back here every few months during COVID as a nice getaway from home. Highly recommend this charming place!
- 5/5
This is the best place to stay in the Bay Area. The staff is amazing, accommodating and helpful. The food is amazing and the rooms are so inviting.
- 5/5
We were very well cared for! All of the staff were kind and courteous during our stay. Even our car had a good time. It was really worth every penny!
- 5/5
Absolutely great! We will definitely be staying there again.
- 5/5
Very nice hotel with excellent food in the room and in the restaurant. First rate service.
- 5/5
Quiet, clean, excellent service, very close to banking and many restaurants. Highly recommended.
- 5/5
The service is unprecedented in these days. Every single person we came in contact with was exceptional. Accommodating, kind, helpful, friendly, efficient. The rooms are exquisite.
- 5/5
What a beautiful little Hotel! Our stay was too short but please know we will be returning, hopefully in the near future. Absolutely charming!
- 5/5
Beatific property. Elegant and well appointed rooms. Friendly and attentive staff. Cozy restaurant with excellent food.
- 5/5
This is was our second tome staying here, and it was just as lovely. The beautiful decor makes you feel like you are in a different part of the world, and the complementary cheese and wine is an added bonus!! We will definitely be coming back!
- 5/5
Beautiful hotel great and helpful staff! Fireplace in the room and wine and cheese plate on arrival was amazing
- 1/5
I am SHOCKED that this hotel is offered at this price. The facilities are terrible for that price point in light of the many alternatives in the area. I would never stay here again.
- 5/5
Beautiful place to stay, great location great amenities.
- 2/5
Avoid. Didn’t get pics of the bedbugs but check out the gross, black inside of the shower.
- 4/5
The hotel accommodations were lovely, convenient and staff friendly.
- 5/5
The staff was so kind at check-in and even wrote me a hand written note welcoming me back since my last stay. The hotel staff provides you with 2 complimentary glasses of wine and a lovely cheese plate. The rooms are adorably decorated and so is the lobby! I’d recommend Hotel Enchantè to anyone.
- 4/5
Nice enough little boutique hotel, but very variable in room size-- mostly almost-too-small given the price. Even the hotel bar is, well, a bit tiny-- but it works!
- 3/5
My teenager lost her eye brow brush and all the cash in her wallet. Lesson learned for her.
- 5/5
Gorgeous boutique hotel close to San Jose and Palo Alto. This is a class above most other chains. Free WiFi, free parking, free breakfast and a free cocktail upon arrival. A very classy affair.
- 5/5
Great location and amenities. Loved the happy hour and breakfast. Wonderful attention to detail.
- 5/5
Originally had a reservation for at a hotel in Palo Alto where I had stayed before. It had substantially deteriorated in the 7 intervening years since I was there. I was not going to spend the second night at that place. Found the Enchante Hotel on line and booked it on Expedia. Really nice hotel. A little more expensive than the first hotel I was at, but it was not out of range for Silicon Valley hotels. Attractive, newer property. I understand the owner lives on site and her pride in the hotel shows through. The complimentary charcuterie and cheese plate and wine during the afternoon was quite nice, as was the selection of breakfast items. Only a couple of minor negatives: be careful on the bathroom floors. Marble floors are attractive but slick when wet! Also, watch your shins, because the metal bed frames are unforgiving. But I would definitely stay there again. I hope I have the opportunity to do so.
- 5/5
As advertised. Very pleasant property in a very good location in Los Altos. It served our purposes well.
- 5/5
The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room had a cozy, elegant feeling. It was located conveniently to where we wanted to be.
- 5/5
Fantastic service, our room was beautifully decorated.
- 5/5
Personally, we appreciate the small town feel of the location and quietness of the property.
- 5/5
Fabulous hospitality at this gem boutique hotel. Love the room details, cooked to order breakfast and wine and cheese waiting for me at the end of the day!
- 5/5
The staff and hotel was phenomenal!!!! The place was a magical esthetic pleasure .
- 5/5
Cute place, friendly service and great location near Stanford. Perfect for one or two day visit. Parking is available but not on site.
- 5/5
Great location, charming and small hotel with very thoughtful amenities (and pet friendly)! Owner lives onsite - which I believe makes the difference. I will definitely stay here again!
- 5/5
Staff were amazing. We arrived early and they upgraded our room to a master suite which was superb. The room was large and beautiful. I was in love with everything that the hotel had to offered. Breakfast was also great! Oh and those pastries were delicious. The waiter said they actually ordered them from France. This is by far one of the best hotels I’ve stayed at.
- 5/5
We just loved the charm and uniqueness....thought we were in Paris. The dining room was so cozy and beautiful.and the food very enjoyableThe complimentary glasses of wine and cheese platter were a thoughtful gesture and so welcoming upon arrival.Every thing was so beautifully presented and our room and bathroom were a delight..What a refreshing surprise to find this exquisite hotel. We have traveled world wide so we know a thing or two about lovely hotels.
- 4/5
It is an awesome hotel!! Although, I will now stay here only on Saturdays. The energy is so much better. The dining room is open and there are more people. You get the extra special treatment 😊
