Reviews
The hotel has a great location, close to Hollywood Blvd attractions, but guests have reported issues with cleanliness, noise, and unfriendly staff. Some rooms are being updated, but the process is causing inconvenience for guests.

The towels are very old and dirty. There were no face and hand towels. I called the hotel multuple times and no one answered the phone. No one on duty in the office when check out.

Very good location. 24 hours reception.
- 2/5
They charge you for early check in. And were not able to store our bags.
- 3/5
Room appeared clean, but the bathroom smelled really strongly of mildew. AC didn't really work. Had to pay for parking.
- 2/5
The room was dirty they had stains on the bed and all over the floor. Their bathroom door was very difficult to close you had to forcibly close it in order for it to close. They had a closet with nothing in it, not even the bar that holds the hangers was in there. There was no table all we had in the room was a single chair and a mini fridge. There were some outlets that didn’t work and were placed very inconveniently. BE WARNED YOU HAVE TO PAY TO PARK INSIDE THEIR FACILITY. Other than that their ac was amazing and their mini fridge was fire and froze our drinks. The shower is at your own discretion. The staff was pretty nice.
- 2/5
Noises all night and early morning from room above me and woke up to them being arrested. Bed/pillows were not very comfortable, shower's tricky, weird fishy/moldy smell, and $17 parking cost was a surprise. This is an $80 max motel, not the nearly $150 I paid!
- 3/5
I found multiple dead roaches, the towels had dirt all over them, the ac was leaking inside the room the entire time it was on, and the bedsheet had a weird stain on it.

For the one offer who will never see the property again they may give it a B- SS for myself who’s been here at least a dozen times the best thing going on here is the cleanliest per dollar spent but even that’s on a down hill trajectory

Parking no good, literally had handicap on vehicle left for 10mins came back and some tweeker stole the spot. Have to pay the office for parking too. Room was falling apart, not a very secure room for the location.

Bom custo x benefício e boa localização
- 1/5
Although our room was already ready, we were asked to pay an additional $32 for early check-in. There were also very limited amenities available. No shared oven facilities were provided, and there was no designated area to refill drinking water. While the gentleman at the front desk was polite and courteous, the lady was rude, unhelpful, and lacked basic customer service skills. Overall, the experience was disappointing and did not meet expectations.

I was iffy about the reviews I read but I’m glad I chose this location for our stay! The staff was extremely helpful, we missed our connecting flight and they were reassuring that we could check in the next morning with no problems. I even asked about delivering Instacart items while we were on the way from the airport once we landed and the front desk offered for us to get them delivered to the front office and they would hold them until check in (we opted to just wait). Pool area was nothing fancy however, it was clean and maintained. The room comes with a fridge but without a microwave, however they have a microwave in the front office to use. Housekeeping was on top of their job, even took out trash that she didn’t have too! Only thing I didn’t like was we had a stay for 3 people and we constantly only got two and had to ask for 3 towels when we got them replaced. Property was quiet at night, didn’t feel unsafe standing outside smoking a cigarette at night. I would definitely stay there again! Easy 7 min walk to Hollywood Blvd as well! In&Out is a 5 min walk.
- 2.5/5
Relatively spacious room and bathroom. Room cleaning comes every day. Good location for the price. Towels felt dirty and had stains on them every time the staff brought them. A/C unit is very loud, located right next to the beds and you can't change the direction of the air from the A/C, so we had to turn it off at night.

Actually, the service was fine, but the rooms smelled strongly of cigarette smoke; the beds were very hard, and the sheets and pillows were not good.
- 1/5
In sum, looks abandoned. I was fooled by the pictures. Be careful!
- 4/5
Overall it is a convenient location.

- 2/5
Bathroom door was literally coming apart, when I pulled the door open, the wood was significantly splitting apart in the middle. Bed wasn’t made, one sheet and blanket just laid on there, nothing tucked in. Small plusses were the small fridge and decent working air conditioner, but no microwave and shoddy internet.
- 4/5
There is no microwave in the room, only at the lobby. Convenient location, the hotel renewed the rooms but not all the restrooms are remodeled.
- 0.5/5
Rude staff, pool was filthy, had trash on the pool, bugs crawling over bed. A cockroach was in the sink area, and when I went to grab toilet paper there was another cockroach that jumped out. I have all of this on video and pic. HORRIBLE CONDITIONS!!

Staff was amazing but hotel is old and worn out. Disgusting carpet with stains and horrible smell of urine throughout the entire room. Really disappointed. Located in a very bad area although it is central to the hollywood walk of fame.

Everything was spot on, from cleanliness to polite staff. The air conditioning in the room was perfect, plenty of parking, and you felt safe. I would highly recommend this hotel, and i will definitely be staying here again in the future

Amazing stay
- 2/5
As you enter the floor had like a hole! I stepped in and felt like a whole and carpet over it scary!, the towls and had towels had stains not sure if Clorox , I had to move the bed to grabbed something that fell under and there was garbage including someone’s Asthma inhaler ! The fridge had the froze ice outside like it haven’t not been clean and didn’t keep waters cold :/ the doors you can see outside like the door frame not fitting right just weird.
- 2/5
If you just need a room to sleep for the night this will kinda get the job done. The room looked clean but the bed had many stains, the pillows are small squares with more stains, the bed doesnt have a full sheet covering it. Stains on the floor and the shower looked well used. Didnt feel too safe with the provided security either. Parking in the hotel lot is $17, or you can risk it by going to the budget inn for free, first come first serve, parking. Only convenience is how close Cane's is to the hotel.
- 2/5
Difficult getting a hold off staff via phone. They only have a prerecorded message. Room had an odd odor smell. AC unit semi-worked. Iron and iron board needed to be requested to get access. Towels did not seem appealing to use. Lots of disturbances among other guess from loud banging doors at night to yelling through hours of the day.

This place felt like it was straight out of a horror movie. The room was disgusting. The pillow case had holes, the towels were disgustingly dirty and the overall room was not cleaned. The toilet also was making noises. I only stayed because they were going to charge me the rate of the room to cancel. Never again would I stay here.

Passable
- 5/5
Was easy check-in and check-out. No issues!
- 3/5
Smell of old urine when first opened door. AC cleared it up. Bring your own face/wash cloths and cleanx. Shower was warm but no bath stopper, by design to save water. Great location near the strip, fast food nearby. I will use them again next year. Sm frig in room, and microwave in office We got two dbl beds to spread out on.

parking too small, rooms were clean, would’ve like to not pay for parking. Staff guys are awesome

Our stay was ok. Check in was super easy. You have to pay for parking daily. Our room was clean. We rented a room with 3 beds and only got 2 towels however. I went to the office to get a couple more and was told there weren't any. That was a big bummer. It's on Sunset Blvd which was very convenient.

The receptionist guy was rude, never gave me a receipt. TV didnt work, no breakfast was offered
- 1/5
This is the worst place I’ve ever stayed. Advertised as 3 queen beds, but they were definitely doubles. There was excessive loud noise to the point on our room shaking which continued throughout the night and early morning. This happened on both nights of my 2 night stay. Believe this was a long term guest which would affect any guest stay. As the complex is small there would be hardly any rooms where you wouldn’t hear this. I had to get up at 1am to make a complaint, which did not help. Found a live cockroach in the room. The place is in terrible condition. As we pulled up there were drug deals being done on the corner of the street. Sketchy area and poor condition hotel. Do not stay here

didn't expect them to charge for parking and they only had spaces for 2 nights and the third they said to park on the street

I’ll start off by saying the room was clean and modern. The catch is the tv did not work. Since a pop up for the internet kept blocking the screen. The parking is NOT INCLUDED! it is $17 for the parking. I will not be returning.

They had. While music video blocking the parking lot and was unable to park at location. The room had 3 dirty towels with no wash clothes.
- 5/5
I thought I was in the wrong hotel, but it was acceptable and the managers or owners are very kind and very pleasant. The pool (it's winter) isn't heated, I don't know if it ever is. Despite not the best of neighborhoods I never felt unsafe. There is a Chic Filet across the street and what looks like a hopping chicken restraint franchise I'm not familiar with. I asked for a room on the second floor given experiences of having people above, even regular stuff seems loud, if they are party or music people or a couple who fight verbally as a part of their relationships, better not to find out with a downstairs room. Again a motel with fresh paint and clean feeling. Would stay again in a pinch.
- 3/5
The TV didn't work too great. The shower head sprayed water all over the place. Beds were comfortable
- 2/5
Sketchy area. Old hotel. Great price. Just needed a place local to sleep for the night. Was on a work trip in West Hollywood. So it served its purpose. Prob would not stay again.

The location and staff were the best.

Regular cleaning, regular room, regular bathroom. Regular air conditioning.👎
- 2/5
bedsheets have stains, shower and blow dryer aren’t working properly, and towels aren’t clean
- 1/5
Very poor place to stay
- 3/5
All fine except there was no light next to the bed. The TV sometimes malfunctioned (very loud static sound and then turned itself off). The door wasn't very sound-proof so I could hear lots of noise from the walkway and pool area.

Room smelled funny, doesn’t really look like it does in pictures
- 3/5
The air conditioning worked well. Room wasn't as clean as I would have liked, walls were dirty, bathroom wasnt clean, but you get what you pay for cant expect 5 stars at a two star place. Staff was very nice however.
- 5/5
Great place to sleep, wouldn't recommend if you plan on spending a lot of time in the hotel though there's no chair or coffee machine!
- 1/5
Reviews were misleading. The room smelled musty, towels were gray ( weird) , toilet was leaking water out the back, overall deteriorating hotel. Staff was slow to respond to desk and not very friendly.
- 2/5
No towels.
- 1/5
terrible, had to leave within the hour of arriving in my room. carpet was stained, room musty, only had two towels from housekeeping and both were stained and ripped. nothing like the photos online
- 2/5
Location was fantastic, just a motel, very loud outside
- 3/5
Typical no frills hotel for a downtown area. Thin walls you can hear everything your neighbors had to say.
- 3/5
If you won’t spend much time in the room, but want to be walking distance to Hollywood Blvd as well as on Sunset near all of the tourist spots and social scenes, pick this place. Cheap and fast Ubers for the area since you will be so close to everything.
- 1/5
Terrible
- 2/5
bathroom was gross, flies in the sink and shower. didnt notice bed bugs, but the sheets and towels were all dirty when we entered the room and the housekeeping new ones were also dirty. loud banging from above overnight. not the best area obviously but it was cheap enough for a few nights and im alive. that being said, i will never stay here again.
- 5/5
Very clean, no problems whatsoever. Not our first time here and 100% will come back again.
- 1/5
Zero cleanliness….dirty pillow covers, mosquitoes in the room, dirty washroom’s ,non cooperative staff
- 4/5
The hotel has a great location. Very close to Walk of fame. The front desk was accommodating and let us check in a little early. Room is clean. Need new towels. TV wasn’t working, and no one came to fix it after I told the front desk. Mattress is not very comfortable. Some customers were smoking marijuana on the property and we had strong smell in my room. Overall value is good for the location and price.

THE BED WAS FILTHY WITH STAINS AND THE DOOR HAD CRACKS I COULD SEE OUTSIDE
- 1/5
Check in was at 3pm. Arrived at 3:45pm and was told our room wasn’t ready yet. By 4:05pm our room was finally ready. Walking into the room it felt incomplete. There was a huge closet that was bare with nothing but an electrical wire (Not Safe) running from a power outlet to the next room over fully exposed. The bed was fine. Clean sheets and pillows. The mini fridge was decent and clean. There was a desk chair sitting in the corner by the AC and window with no other furniture. The restroom was by far the worst part. The shower looked disgusting and grimy. The tile in the floor was broken, sink looked newly installed and toilet was decently clean. This room was definitely noisy, you could hear people talk loudly at night time and hear all the street noises. And there was an annoying amount of light that would radiate through the bathroom window due to a bright sign outside. And of course last but not least there was the giant cockroach that was found by the restroom door that was the size of a cigarette lighter. There was no staff available after hours and early morning (7am) no one to be found either.
- 5/5
Room was clean. Staff was helpful.

Which is crazy for a hotel The towels were dirty as well which so gross it makes you question the sanitation in this place
- 1/5
Parking and noise. Drugs smell so bad and the room smelled like smoke
- 1/5
This room was not at all as pictured. My camera was not working to snap pics so they got real lucky there. Room was so dirty especially in the corners. Not a single nightstand or table to set ANYTHING down, not a single rod or hook to hang any article of clothing. The bathroom was so dirty, the window inside of it was so high up and we were unable to open/close it to drown out the sounds of busy streets. The shower had a loose tile on THE GROUND? Where you stand while it’s wet??? Dangerous af. The drain was disgusting and the water pressure sucked. Man it really was such a let down. I stayed here a year prior to this stay and it was much better then. Quality has completely dropped and not to mention customer service is absolutely lacking. I do not recommend at all unless you’re cool with some dirty ass little room with a toilet and a mattress.

Was told the parking at the hotel was $17 a day to save a space, but that they did had “free” parking at the motel next door “budget in” so we parked there. The next morning was told by the front office guy to move my car or ir will be towed, we told him we were autorized to park there and he did not take it well, we finally had to move and park on the street.

There was not enough amenities for a triple beds room, only a small tube of shampoo and a small soap bar are available. And they charge $17 per night for parking fees, which was not mentioned on the website where I booked it, so I had to pay additional $34 for 2 nights stay.
- 3/5
It didn't have a microwave, a TV, or a coffee maker.
- 2/5
I stayed there twice on 2 separate occasions because I had a job seminar closest to this Motel & both occasions is the same experience except on the last stay there was a leaking pipe from the bathroom sink that was in the bedroom. Couldn’t got a hold of anyone because the front desk phones doesn’t work & I wasn’t getting out my room at night to walk to the front desk. Rooms need a facelift and you can never get parking here because you have to make a reservation for a space, out of state visitors are less likely to get a space because their phones doesn’t work you have to park on the street that is fully infested with people on drugs at the entrance area onwards. The beds are okay not plush mattresses with dinghy sheets.

The cleanliness of the rooms, keeping in mind that it is an old structure, and the attention by the staff makes this affordable hidden jewel on the sunset set strip well worth it. Also located next door is a new Raising Canes, which is open late night and a Chick Fila across the street. For the price and convenience you can’t beat it.

Air conditioning worked fine but the filter and evaporator coil were caked with dirt/debris , I work in hvac so I know what to look for , some of the walls looked water damaged , on arrival there was some candy wrappers and plastic under both beds. Everything was okay with the hotel they do have fees so the price u see it’s not what u get no matter if u pay the protection plan. Still gotta pay a 100 dollar deposit and 17 dollars for parking and it’s first come type of parking. The smell was kinda off there was a hole on the wall too but other then that it was alright not worth the price tho.

The tv didn’t work even after reporting it. I was walked in on several times without notice or knocking. I reported the neighbors screaming and kicking over and over again to no avail. Price was great but definitely wouldn’t have stayed if I wasn’t in desperate need at the time.

Only gave it a "2" because the mexican maids were so nice. But the property is a dump and serves apparently as a half-way house for druggies. Lots of long term use versus hotel stayers. There is an add on $17 per day for parking (which you will want in this terrible neighborhood). And if you stay in room117 as I did, you get the bonus of a reeking cat piss smell in the bathroom that compliments the general mold and leakeing sewer smell from the bathtub well for a real nice aroma trifecta. But the A/C works well and by keeping the room at 55 degrees you can lower room's stink. But as I said, the maids work real hard, but it would be better to let the Hollywood fire department practice burning this place down. I used to slum it in Mexico in my 20s for over a decade in the 1990s and never stayed in a place worse than this. I did stay the week because I was down in that hellscape supporting someone in the hospital, so I only slept there briefly. If you have a white noise machine like i do, bring it (sure glad i did, there is zero noise insulation). Bring flip flops for the floor (yuk) and bring a little table lamp beacuse there is literally nothing in this room. But the maids are real nice, I left theam a good tip for trying so hard to put lipstick on this pig every day. This property should not be on expedia.
- 3/5
Blinds were broken in room, so constant light and people could see right in. Had to put my sweatshirt in the cracks of the blinds for privacy. Only two towels. Plugs in bathroom did not work, the top one was so loose you couldn’t use it. Room was old but clean.

This place is horrible, there are stains on the carpet. The tub in the bathroom looks like it hasn’t been cleaned in years. There’s mold and mildew. It stinks like urine. I got to the property early and noticed there were 3 types of people staying there. Drug dealers, prostitutes and drug users. The place is extremely unsafe. The door to the room was falling off the hinges and didn’t close properly. Of course I did not stay. I immediately contacted Expedia for a refund. While I was chatting with the agent from Expedia I could see the guy at the front desk, Mike ignoring the calls and refusing to pick up the phone. It took 6 days for the property to respond to Expedia’s request for a refund. And to this day an entire week has passed and I have not been refunded for the $100 security deposit. To say this place is a scam is an understatement. STAY AWAY.

- 1/5
Front staff doesn’t help beds dirty prostitution all over the place not fun for family and kids ask for refund told me pretty much go fly a kite
- 3/5
Old carpet in the room I was in, and the TV didn't work (no channels). They did a great job fixing up the outside of it and I have stayed in other rooms that were updated with hardwood floors and was OK, but NOT the room I got this time and I was definitely surprised that they started charging $17 for parking in the lot for the hotel. Kinda BS its not on any info for the hotel when booking online.
- 4/5
The staff was great though and they have good size smart TVs.
- 3/5
Pleasant stay it just wasn’t enough towels, cable an no microwave but overall it was a peaceful stay
- 5/5
Very clean
- 5/5
Only one thing was not good and that was the cleaning staff walked in at 10:30AM and check out time is 10:00AM that was not okay! I did not say anything about it when I checked because everything else was great. But I will stay there again!
- 1/5
They never answer their phone. When we got there the carpet was filthy and the smell was bad. We had no towels in our room. Went downstairs to ask for towels and all they could give us was 2 towels even though we booked a room for 3 people. The area is horrible. Had some bald guy on a bike chase us in our car down the road. Theres a lot of weird men just standing in the hallways and stairs just staring at you. Definitely not family or women friendly.
- 3/5
I think the owners maybe are new and recently purchased. It just needs a lot of work, the walls are paper thin which they can't do much about at this point. We only needed it a couple nights, it wasn't horrible.
- 4/5
It's a good place to stay
- 3/5
It's not a bad hotel but rooms can be improved, microwave in the rooms are essential, they don't have them, only at the lobby, and now they have started charging 17dls for for parking per night! 😳
- 5/5
The area is close to anything you need in 5 to 10 mins
- 5/5
When I walk in everything was clean , Bathroom clean , enough towels Would just say I wish there was a microwave in the room for any frozen meals or reheated something , the controller for the tv works I just had stand by the tv to change channels and I wish there was more channels selections , but overall stay was great
- 1/5
Sheets were stained and comforter had red stains, carpet was not vacuumed, and when I got up in the morning there was a huge roach infront of the door.. pictures are very deceiving, my room looked nothing like on the picture, also they charge you and added 20 a day for parking that I find it horrible.. not a quality hotel!
- 3/5
Good hotel for one night.
- 2/5
Room was dirty and dilapidated
- 3/5
smell really bad whole set of sheets and pillows
- 5/5
was close to alot of stuff
- 5/5
Great place to stay if you have a trip to Hollywood! Walkable. A lot of great places to eat and things to do!
- 2/5
The beds were nothing like the pictures ...there wasnt any parking for the 2nd occupant in the room . The room smelled really bad like mildew...the shower barely gave me any water to shower so i had to take a bath . The hotel was nothing like what it advertised ...the only thing that was correct was the pool .
- 3/5
Noisy and rooms are just ok to stay for one night
- 1/5
No parking yet wi charge you fornit. TVs do not work. Doors barely close and lock
- 2/5
Security concerns: Windows don't lock, large gaps under doors No ice machine available anywhere in hotel Insufficient amenities: Only two small bath towels provided, no hand towels or washcloths Noise issues: Guests walking around at all hours Policy violations: No-smoking policy not enforced - guests smoke directly outside room doors Had to use one of the two towels to block the door gap. Would not recommend for solo travelers or anyone prioritizing safety and basic comfort.

The property is good, staff is so nice and helpfull but sunset blvd is not what i remember years ago, again the property is nice but walk off property and sunset is dirty and sad.
- 4/5
It was a great value for the price.
- 4/5
The bed was one of the nicest beds so comfortable especially for a small cheaper hotel nice size room you do have to pay additon $ for parking though but other than that great cheap easy hotel thats near alot of walkable areas
- 4/5
The area was filthy
- 3/5
Great location, but noisy and the room smells bad
- 1/5
I booked the Hwood Hotel and when I got there I was told I couldn't check in because they didn't accept cash deposit but I called before I got there and they didn't say anything about not accepting cash for the deposit. Than told me they can give me a room at the Budget Inn next door ( which doesn't even have a working front desk ) . so I accept it and when I got in the room it smelled so bad holes in the wall from what looks like from rats . floorts filthy haven't been vacuumed in who knows how long, the towels were dirty and had bleach stains . Bed had white flakes all over it . I tried to stay and sit on the bed ( as I already paid online so ) couldn't even stay there long started getting itchy and red bumps . I ended up checking out and had to sleep in my car for the night .
- 3/5
The room was fine, but the bathroom was not. The bathroom smelled mildew and the shower head hit me between the shoulders so I had to stoop significantly to get my head under the water. The towels were small and scraggly, but the staff was very nice about providing additional towels when requested.
- 1/5
I left after one night and stayed somewhere else even though I wasn't getting money back for the nights I paid for at H-Wood. I'm low maintenance. It was bad.
- 5/5
I was in town for the Oasis show. Great central location and walking distance to a lot of the West Hollywood attractions. In & out burger across the street. Place is clean and cheap. I was just looking for a clean bed and location for a good price. Staff was great!
- 1/5
The room stinked so bad they had no wash rags or towels available the ones they did have in the room was dirty ash I do not recommend this hotel to anyone
- 1/5
Everything was okay, but rooms had a funky smell in them and the sheets/towels had stains on them.
- 3/5
The area is in a drug infested neighborhood have to walk pass people doing drugs on the street and i didn't stay the whole stay or get the rental car i checked out thursday morning
- 3/5
Decent to stay if you just need a place to sleep and shower.
- 1/5
This hotel was TERRIBLE. The room was dirty, smelled bad, and the air conditioner was extremely loud, especially at night. The sheets on the beds had suspicious stains, holes, and did not seem properly cleaned. The lock on our door was also broken and did not seem reliable at night. During our two day stay, multiple centipedes and spiders were spotted, along with flies and mosquitoes that flew in through a widow that we were unable to close. Also, the $15 a day parking was so tight that we had an extremely difficult time exiting.
- 5/5
I like the option available being central to everything
- 4/5
Good mattresses.
- 3/5
Inside the room smells of cat urine.
- 5/5
Great hotel for the price
- 1/5
Well i saw bud in my table stand and also.there blood stains in sheet omg....
- 4/5
This hotel can use some maintenance … but it’s a fairly good place to stay if you’re in a tight budget!!
- 1/5
Stains on shower floor, carpet, doors and woodwork. The room smelled moldy. Dirty bath mat. Outlets hanging out of walls. Ariana on ceiling above bed and drywall damage throughout. Bedside lights didn’t work. I went to the desk asking to switch rooms bc wasn’t as pictured, but they said bc I arrive so late (2am) they had no other options. Very disappointed bc the room was dirty and the door didn’t shut unless I pushed it behind me and dead bolted the door manually. Tv did work. I was able to plug in one bedside table that then allowed the plugged in lamp to work. Overall very disappointed and not as advertised.
- 4/5
The hotel is near hollywood and also transportation so u can easily going around. Minus point: the bath towel doesnt look clean it feels dirty shouldnt use it.
- 1/5
I paid the deposit when i checked in and was told it would be refunded automatically. It still has not been refunded and the number for the hotel is never answered and i cant find a way to contact them to get it returned
- 2/5
The television is not working and the water from the restroom leaks.
- 3/5
Rooms are big but the carpet is quite smelly and dirty. Bed not too bad. Towels provided are rubbish. Location is good for getting around but a sketchy area.
- 2/5
Check in process was very easy. The room was decent size and the bed was pretty comfortable. The only setback was the room had a funny smell that eventually went away. The bathtub was old and the shower head leaked while showering .
- 1/5
Rm 210 has old aircon and does not provide coldness, unable to sleep, too hot in the room and feels like you’re sleeping under the Sun, with small flies flying in the room, pillows were flat or no cushion, no hand towels only bath towels were available.
- 4/5
Good location, clean, very friendly staff, the only detail to point out is that to park you need to pay 15 dollars to reserve a space, otherwise you have to park in the lot on one side, poor accessibility and limited space
- 2/5
Rooms smell like urinoir. We changed rooms but still the same Room doors have gaps of 1 cm on ground Unsafe environment They let drifters heat up food in the ‘lobby’ microwave
- 4/5
its right in the heart of hollywood. clean and simple. but you have to pay to park your car 15 dollars a day.besides that it was worth it
- 2/5
.
- 2/5
Unexpected parking fee of $15. Not the end of the world but still pretty lame. And not mentioned on the site.
- 1/5
The room was DISGUSTING . We found dried blood on the walls , bed and sheets . A used syringe and needle was in the bathroom . We had to call the police as we were in danger and the “ manager “ just picked the needle up and said too bad . The room also stank of raw sewerage
- 1/5
Hotel have to upgrade towels and floor carpet.it was shocking and the street was dirty and noisy.most of all at least supply a tea pot(kettle).
- 1/5
I wouldn't recommend this property especially if you have children . The area was so dangerous and the room had a funky odor that I don't even know what it was and the pool had rust coming from the bottom this room was so bad I actually checked out after 2 hours and just went back home and I didn't even spend the 2 hours in the room we actually tried to go for a walk but my children were so nervous I just wrapped it up and we went back to room and checked out
- 3/5
Problems: Seemed like no matter what room I was in there was always an issue somewhere some small and some big. Maybe the lamp didn’t work, dirty or stained shower floor and stains in the carpet in one room and the other room had cheap paint job, weird smell, similar shower and no lamps besides a light by the bathroom. Both rooms had issues that I didn’t bother the hotel about(seemed like all the rooms were going to have problems). Not so bad: Decent price. Bed seemed to have clean sheets and overall it was a decent bed to sleep on. Has a pool. Close to everything in Hollywood. Front desk agents were accommodating. Overall a decent experience but as it is understood, you get what you pay for. In this case I paid for convenience but not “luxury”(or let’s say a certain level of excellence). If you come understanding what you are paying for and adjust your expectations, you’ll enjoy your stay here
- 3/5
The room smelled like mildew. All the appliances (fridge, tv, etc…) were all unplugged and we couldn’t tell. Had to get the guy working in the office that none of our stuff worked. After about 10 minutes he figured out it was all unplugged. You get 3 towels…no hand towels or washcloths. The bath mat has shoe footprints on it so it was clearly not clean. The pool was absolutely disgusting. There was garbage in it, it had a green film on the floor…I wouldn’t even consider dipping my toe in it. They charge $15 a day for parking in their tiny parking lot. If you’re just looking for a bed to sleep in with zero amenities then this is the place for you.
- 5/5
The hotel is an a very well location near Hollywood Boulevard and of course it’s on Sunset Boulevard. The room was very spacious, clean and quiet. Very basic room. No amenities.
- 2/5
I had to change rooms twice, the first, one had stains on the sheets and soiled carpeting. The next room they gave me had holes in the walls and had a bad smell coming from it. They finally gave me an updated room on the street level facing sunset which was suitable enough since I sanitize everything anyway on my own. And no washcloths provided. Difference between the first two rooms and the one I was finally assigned, it looks like they’re in the middle of renovating and much needed
- 3/5
For the price you pay, its a bargain. The area surrounding the hotel isn't that great and limited parking on site. First come, first serve reservation. The hallways smell like piss. Probably because its easy access to thr transients in the area. However, the customer service was great. This is the place to stay if you are on a budget and only use it for sleep.
- 3/5
You get what you paid for. Definitely convenient for last minute booking for events around the area.
- 5/5
Bed had a ciggarette burn on the sheets. Room is very uneven. However it was nice that the whole family can have their own bed in the 3 beds. I would definitely come back. Thank you! Staff let me check in at 2:30.
- 4/5
Great staff. Good rooms
- 3/5
We stayed 3 nights in a very dark room with very old, dirty and smelly carpet. If the AC turned high, room was okay. If the AC turned to low level, the room was like having urinal smell that killed all of us. Very close to Universal BLVD and In-n-Out burger for just walking distance!
- 3/5
Had to put up with the smelly carpets on the second floor for the first couple days. I spoke to the staff and moved to the first floor. A lot better. But then the pool was really dirty and the one day I had time I didn’t enjoy it. Tried the best day after cleaning. But still had dirt at the bottom. Other the it was convenient and helpful staff.
- 5/5
Highly recommend
- 3/5
The price was way too much for what they offer. This is a 1-2 star motel. You get a bed, a chair, a fridge, and a bathroom-shower. That's it.
- 1/5
Room smell, bums outside, unexpected fees like deposit and parking not mentioned in app not enough towels and they are old phone dont work,i haven't got my deposit back
- 2/5
Electrical wiring hanging out of walls an in shower , Dirty , Druggie People knocking on your door all hours. Bad Neighborhood.. no Wash Cloths ( we had to buy our own ) at CVS. Don"t Stay Here.. ☠️💀
- 3/5
I was shocked to find out that we have to pay for parking daily when that was not stated on Expedia when I made the reservation. Also, I was very sick and sent my partner to get a spare key. My partner put the deposit down on the room and he refused to give her a spare key unless I was present so I had to drag myself to the front desk. The TV did not work so we have to get it fixed and the shower had cold water.
- 1/5
I really wanted to enjoy my stay, but unfortunately, there were several issues that made it hard to relax. There was some sort of unknown liquid stuck to the wall in our room, which was concerning and clearly overlooked during cleaning. On top of that, the guest above us was extremely loud—at one point it literally sounded like they were using gym equipment in their room. To make things worse, the front desk staff seemed uninterested and inattentive when we brought up our concerns. Overall, the lack of cleanliness and poor customer service made for a disappointing experience.
- 1/5
Got to the Hotel then was informed there was a $15 a day parking fee. The room that we booked and saw pictures of online, was not the room they gave to us. The first room was dirty, the carpet was wet and there was no tv. We had to ask to be moved. Was moved to a room that was a little better, but was still dirty. The sheets had stains and cigarette burns on them. There was cockroaches and mice. I would not recommend this hotel.

ambience, hospitality, cleaniness, custoimer service
- 3/5
Hotel was literally the bare minimum came with a bed and a chair literally nowhere to eat and basically it’s advertise as if it’s something way nicer than it really is that night when I was sleeping someone was honking your horn at 2 AM which woke up the whole building. The next thing you know a woman starts screaming and fighting someone else I’m like oh OAKLAND here we go
- 1/5
Bed bugs.Pool closed by health department, black mold in bathroom, no breakfast as advertised. 1 pillow, no washcloths, no vending machines. It was really bad and I’m not fancy. The guy at the desk was very nice though and they did give me a full refund.
- 1/5
It’s was 90 degrees in LA booked to use pool and the pool was out of service in addition the rooms are so run down and the fridge didn’t work when it’s so hot outside can’t even keep my drinks cold it was so inconvenient. If the pool is not able to be used it shouldn’t be listed as an amenity
- 2/5
Big useless Closet had no bar or hangers to hang clothes no hooks for same purpose. A/c on same high setting the whole day because it’s too to reach and there’s no chair to stand on to adjust. No cups for water or anything.less bare minimum. dissatisfied
- 3/5
The room had a really strong odor that made it hard to sleep.
- 5/5
Everything good 👍
- 1/5
The man in charge has no sense of customer service, there are so many rules and the hotel is so dirty and small nothing like the pictures AVOID it
- 5/5
There was someone at front desk always and very quickly responded to any needs. The pool is clean and an added bonus
- 1/5
Room had black mold and was not clean at all had to sleep in a sleeping bag on top of the bed . Was scared to use the restroom had stains and paint bubbling up in every corner. Room smelled real bad had to sleep with window open .
- 1/5
Coming into the room we were immediately hit with the smell of mold. Then the room just looked very grubby. Then after looking mold is present in the bathroom. The floors were dirty. The towels were terrible and small. They are obviously aware of the smell of mold because they forgot the bottle of odor eliminator in the bathroom. It’s full of patch work on just about every wall. No hand towels or wash clothes. We’re booked for four and I had to ask the front desk for two more. Overall if we hadn’t checked in so late we would have left. Was a terrible experience and parking is $15 if it’s available.
- 1/5
I'm not a hotel snob. Ive stayed in dozens of budget level hotels and you know what youre getting into. But this hotel? Everything seemed like it belonged to a single mother of 12 that works 4 jobs and has never done a deep clean or repair in her life and the kids decided to try instead. Showering? No thanks. I think ill be cleaner if i dont. Sheets? Decorated by someone elses make up and pee stains. Pillows? You mean pillowcase and fluffy cardboard. We stayed because of exhaustion. If you simply need a place to sleep... have you tried 5 hour energy?
- 3/5
PROS: The bed was huge and comfortable. Location was great. 2 blocks from Hollywood Blvd. Staff was very polite. Easy check in and check out. Noisy location, but the property cannot control that. It's right on Sunset Blvd. You're going to hear city noise and traffic. Overall stay was not all bad. Just the cleanliness and amenities could use improvent.
- 4/5
Decent place
- 1/5
The room was dirty and very smelly.
- 2/5
The room did not come with everything that was promised. Also when my partner went down to ask about getting use of the pool the receptionist was not very nice to him. Room was below standard. I hope that I get my security deposit back as we left room as we found it.
- 3/5
Looking for a cheap hotel around dirty old Hollywood go right ahead never knew how dirty Hollywood is when you start walking around this area but the bathroom definitely needs remodeling.
- 1/5
Room smelled of pee, holes in the screens, doors and shutters looked like someone had to forcibly evicted. Weird stain in the bathtub. Room could’ve used a paint job. But you get what you pay for.
- 3/5
No wash clothes, broken door lock, no phone communications to front desk. Room very clean.
- 2/5
The hotel said they have parking based on availability but it’s not quite true if you see an empty spot you can’t park there, I was told by the front desk male when I tried checking in around 11:30pm after coming off a long flight that I should’ve called to secure a space even though I see a parking spot it’s not available I should park on the Street by a meter and I have to get up by 7am to move the vehicle or pay the meter. I had to drive off property and park on the 1st block away from the hotel at which is 1/2 way dark with a lots of drugs addict walking around, taking off their clothes and acting crazy. Luckily I asked him if it was okay for me to put my bags & purse in the room before I moved the vehicle. I took my phone only, hold it in my hand and I was ready to call 911 if any unforeseen circumstances should arise. THE ROOM HAD A BAD SMELL, white sheets & towels were dingy. Room 104 that I stayed in had a pipe leaking from the sink which is in the bedroom which led water to be running & slowly making a trail towards the bed I had to step over the water on the floor to go into the toilet and shower area. You don’t hear much noise but it’s basically a motel for a 1 night stand or people who is looking a place to live until they can do better. The pictures on here are deceiving. Don’t stay if you can afford better, it’s very close to everything on Hollywood Boulevard and that’s the reason I chose here not knowing it’s a Shack
- 1/5
No parking.
- 1/5
Looking at the photos on Expedia and making a last minute decision to go to visit family in Hollywood we thought we found a deal. It wasn’t. We were checked in and then waited 20 minutes for the room to be ready. It had no shower curtain, no deadbolt and it had a smell. Thought we could make it work but after returning to the hotel after visiting family we couldn’t stay. Would not recommend.
- 1/5
- 1/5
This hotel was a complete dump. I wish I looked at pictures and other reviews first. The only reason this isn’t 1 star all the way around is because the bed seemed clean, even though there were stains on the sheet. Everything was disgusting, worn down. There were holes in the walls, no bathroom exhaust fan—just a window with a huge broken screen, extremely thin walls where you could hear every other neighboring guest below and to the side of you, broken shutters so you had no privacy. The door weather stripping was old at the bottom, leaving a gap for noise, pest entry, and wind. There was black mold all around the shower and the water pressure was horrible. It’s like the never put a penny into the place. The rooms definitely do not look like the pictures the advertise. It wasn’t the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed at, but it takes second place.
- 2/5
The bathroom towels were honestly disgusting. Aside from that I am OK with paying for a low budget location, but at least have some decent towel. The bed was a little rough, but like I said, the sheets were decent and I was on a budget.
- 5/5
Just walk in through walk of fame and chinese theatre and all the hollywoods offerings !
- 4/5
The hotel is very basic. No closet in the room and only two towels. No hand towels, no tissues, and only one trash can. We came back to the room the second day after 2pm and the room still wasn't made up. We found the housekeeper and let her know it was fine not to make up the room but we needed more towels and an extra pillow. She gave us the towels then and there but said we had to wait 30 min for the pillow and we had to be there in the room, not sure why, when she brought it. We waited about 1.5 hours but had to go because we had reservations. We never got the pillow.
- 1/5
I’m hoping they do better on cleaning, as I found that bra under my bed

Good to stay if you wanna catch a show on the strip or walk about Hollywood

They are ride

Photos online do not reflect the actual rooms. Photos show laminate floors, clean and newly painted walls… the reality is there are scuffs and holes all over the walls, the floors were old, dirty brown carpet, beds were uncomfortable, an old shoe from a prior guest was sticking half way out from under our bed when we got there. Most annoying of all the neighbors were partying all night long. We couldn’t get a wink of sleep the entire 2 nights we were there. When talking with the hotel personnel it sounded like a common occurrence. If you want a quiet, peaceful and clean place to sleep, this is NOT it!
- 3/5
They did not specify that parking would be an additional $15 and it wasn’t guaranteed when you got there that it would be any available spots left to park. When we got up to the room eventually, the room smelled horrible from the bathroom. It smelled like it hadn’t been properly cleaned and did not look it either.
- 2/5
Hotel is right next door to a space that apparently gets rented out for dj club shows which means lots of "thud" from bass and kick drum and the sound of young people drunkenly crying over she-said/he-said. It was going strong at 4 AM. It was a Sat/Sun in downtown hollywood so take that with a grain of salt. The novelty wore off fast.
- 1/5
No parking, wasn’t able to stay here
- 5/5
Good location
- 1/5
It was not as clean as we thought there was homeless people blocking the entrance and when we try to switch to another room they were both same, also had a funny smell and the wall where also dirty we couldnt handle the smell. We also found things in the refrigerador dried flowers and also that had another smell the room was prepared for us.
- 1/5
Expedia said there was a coffee maker in the room but there wasn't.
