The rooms are beautiful and modern. Excellent amenities. Love the roof top restaurant and pool!

Everything was great. We really liked it, we want to come here again.

Fabulous coffee lounge, and infused ice water available 24/7. Front desk staff and housekeeping very friendly and helpful. Hotel is in a great location, too. Patio room is great: outdoor space is nice. Yoga mat in room a bonus. Couple of days we left our room in early afternoon, and they still sent housekeeping to make up the room. Very happy with Hotel Wilshire.
- 4/5
Property is very pet friendly and we appreciate that. The rooms and surrounding areas are well decorated and always clean. Staff is OK nothing special. Breakfast was OK.
- 3/5
High price for parking Room condition on the first night that was fixed for the next day. (Washroom leak , burnt lights and curtains not working) Extra fees that I didn’t know about.

- 5/5
The property exceeded our expectations. Nice room, pleasant staff, daily happy hour, nice restaurant and rooftop pool. Only thing, non paying people were allowed access to pool and often they occupied all the lounge chairs by the pool..for hours! Seems like they should be reserved for those of us who were paying customers. It was expensive to stay there (but I think that is the norm) but the location was terrific! We walked everywhere and did not rent a car.

Location and facilities at rhe rooftop bar!! Nothing really.
- 5/5
A lovely hotel. We so appreciated that the valet charged our electric car. Location convenient to LACMA. Rooftop pool very nice for a drink.

Coffee and tea on 2nd floor was lovely Only complaint is they never reached our room for cleaning until just before 5 which was when we were returning from our adventures of the day.

Nice place, easy going around. Willing to recommend to others

Hotel it’s was great. My only other issue was the my room was not cleaned every day and I had to call the reception about this. I spoke to the hotel manager my last night I spent here and he was great.
- 5/5
Very clean room and great bathroom with separate tub from shower. Friendly, helpful staff. Poolside rooftop restaurant/bar with great view was the best! We had dinner Friday night poolside overlooking the Hollywood hills and then returned the next morning for breakfast. Good food! Restaurant staff was delightful. I would definitely recommend this as a great place to stay. Only thing I wished for was a stationary bike on premises, but they do have an association with a gym a few blocks away. Thanks for a great stay!

Great hotel dodgy neaighborhood
- 2.5/5
The restaurant was nice, location good, but oh my - not clean at all, by the way check the vents and filters, so much dust I haven’t seen in a hotel. Linen and mattress uncomfortably, people were nice, not that we interacted a lot, the little we did they were nice. Dirty and looks like a motel, linen and mattress super unpleasant, especially the linen. Surely not like a hotel at the rate you charge and we paid.

Nice people. Beautiful rooms as small boutique hotel.
- 4/5
Rooms n amenities were cool just wish we had a inclusive breakfast instead of paying 8$ for a small bowl of cereal that costs 2$ at any grocery store
- 5/5
Very helpful and courteous staff, clean and nice size room, really nice social room with 24/7 coffee and Happy Hour!
- 4/5
Staff was very warm and helpful. Room was clean but the shower dripped for hours after it was turned off. However, this was fixed before I checked out. Restaurant has beautiful view and great food.

This was a wonderful hotel, I thought the rooms were huge, the bathroom was great, the rooftop pool was amazing, great location (we were visiting museums). While not the cheapest hotel room, it didn't break the bank! We thought it was great value for what you got.

we just stayed at the Kimpton and it was fine. the rooms were clean but a lot if the fixtures (lamps, desks, table) were a little run down. What was MOST infuriating was when when we checked out they told us that there was a $35 daily amenities fee tacked onto our bill. PLEASE NOTE there were ZERO amenities. when I asked the person at the front desk what that included he said coffee and the gym. Mind you I NEVER even knew there was coffee available, when we checked in NOBODY told us that. I even asked for a water bottle one day and they informed me that they only give them at check in. More Importantly THERE WAS NO GYM!!! you could go to the gym down the street, however it was pouring rain every day we were in Los Angeles!!!! Just be transparent in your rates, there is NOTHING more infuriating than hotels sneaking an extra BS cost onto the already high enough cost because they want to squeeze few more dollars out of you. Amenities fees are for hotels that OFFER amenities!!!

staff very helpful

All the stuff that I drafted with were incredibly friendly and very helpful. I thought the pool would’ve been deeper.

They were very confused and uncommunicative at check in- she took all my information, then told me to wait a minute and walked away into a back closet for almost 10 minutes. Multiple other staff walked to and fro and not one asked if I was being helped. She came back and I asked what was going on, and she said she wasn’t sure if housekeeping was done yet and couldn’t get an answer. I asked if I could go up and look or just drop my bags and change because I had to go to an event, and she said no and that’s not allowed. I asked if there was another room they could upgrade or downgrade me into, I’d be happy to pay the differences, and she said she didn’t think so. Then walked away again. It was all very confusing and the entire process took almost 20 minutes. It would have been less confusing if there was more communication or acknowledgement from the front desk that it was not a great experience.
- 5/5
Clean room, very friendly staff!
- 5/5
Easy check in, friendly staff, welcoming, quiet, comfortable, great location.
- 2/5
As we were packing to go, we heard a series of earspliting alarms coming from inside the building. It seems that the fire alarm system was being “tested”. No warning was given to the guests and it was only 9 am. We remarked on this when we left and the staff issued no aplogy. Also, we had some really awful oatmeal in the rooftop restaurant.
- 5/5
Wonderful hotel rooms
- 5/5
Staff was excellent!
- 5/5
Really nice. Friendly staff. Great customer service. Highly recommend.
- 5/5
A hidden gem of a property - I wish I could have stayed more than one night! I got upgraded to a suite, which made it all the harder to leave. Wonderful staff reception, lovely amenities, very comfortable bed with nice choice of pillows. I didn’t have time to take advantage of the nightly complimentary wine bar, but did enjoy a lovely breakfast looking out at the Hollywood hills. I was visiting a relative who lives close by and was delighted to have such a great hotel option in walking distance.
- 5/5
Love the comfortable bed and spacious bathroom. The hotel has a really nice coffee bar at the lounge that includes a Nesoresso machine. One thing I did not like is their small elevator that does not fit their luggage cart so pack lightly.. Also their valet only parking garage only allows one car to go in or out so you might have to wait for another car to pull out before you can enter.
- 4/5
The espresso machine broke one morning.. One Of the 2 elevators was broken one day. the kitchen for the rooftop restaurant was shut down 2 of the 3 days we stayed for maintenance. The rooftop pool is very small
- 5/5
Lovely hotel and staff. Rooftop restaurant and bar was terrific! Will definitely stay again
- 1/5
The sofa bed wasn’t made and the attendant didn’t tell me I had to call to have linens brought, even though she knew we needed it. One family member had to sleep on a sofa using the robes they had for covers.
- 5/5
Room was great except you need updated toilet, it was made for kids, too short, hard to stand up
- 2/5
Restaurant was closed. Overpriced everything. They charged me for water that I brought myself. Trying to reverse charges still.
- 5/5
Enjoyed our stay.
- 5/5
Excellent!
- 5/5
very nice breakfast / restaurant area
- 2/5
Room was not made until 5pm…I reminded them and when I came back late at night room was still not made. Forgot my retainer in bathroom and instead of reaching out they just kept it. Charged me on mini bar whereas I never used it. Over charged my on taxes. Terrible. Will never go back there.

Good view over Hollywood hills and perfect location to enjoy Academy awards museum.

- 4/5
Very convenient to Wilshire museums, but you pay for it. Amenities and parking add a great deal to cost. Would do it without a car if we did it again. We had a room with a little patio, but it was cold and rainy so did not use it. Restaurant is very good.
- 5/5
Terrific hotel in the mid city area of Los Angeles. Perfect if you want to go visit the Academy Museum. The rooms are modern and clean with great air circulation. Hotel staff is prompt and super friendly. We stayed in a wonderful room on the fifth floor, complete with a deep, soaking tub, which was excellent. We’ll stay again!
- 5/5
It was amazing and in great condition!
- 5/5
A charming boutique hotel in a perfect location. An easy walk to La Brea Tar Pits, LACMA, Petersen Automotive Museum, and the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures. Room service available and restaurant next door.
- 5/5
Great hotel. Lovely rooftop. Great staff.
- 3/5
Beware the unannounced “guest services” fee. Also note that fitness center is off site and for longer stays you have to pay extra to go there.
- 5/5
Very good location, and very efficient hotel service. The 2nd floor coffee/sitting area is very nice. Nice little roof top restaurant sufficient for breakfast and lunch.
- 5/5
It was very nice.
- 5/5
Wanted some thing around the Petersen Auutomotive Muiseum and it was perfect.
- 5/5
Everything was wonderful! No complaints
- 5/5
Great rooftop deck and restaurant! Really nice spacious rooms. Highly recommend!
- 5/5
The staff was friendly and helpful. Our room was top notch.
- 1/5
I think it was Expedia’s fault that when I showed up the double room I booked was not available. Had to spend 100s of $ to book an additional room. The hotel staff kind of tried to help but at the end was not very helpful. Both Expedia and hotel blaming the other. I am done with Kimpton and with Expedia. Forget about customer service for them.

Clean and amazing service
- 5/5
The woman who welcomed us at the front desk was ready for us, room already defeathered. Very friendly & helpful. (~8pm on 11/7)
- 4/5
Very nice staff! Loud through the walls. Amazing rooftop restaurant and pool.
- 1/5
Terrible! Do not book this hotel through Hotels.com. After prepaying the full amount for a two night stay, the Kimpton cancelled the reservation only a few hours before arrival.
- 5/5
Loved tge rooftop pool and dining. Great views. Excellent service!
- 5/5
I’d stay again.
- 5/5
Clean and spacious
- 5/5
Loved this hotel! Suggestions would be to be able to make a Long Island iced tea or some other drink options at the rooftop bar. Also I wish I had check in and check out times the same as my friends. That sucked. Overall it was a great time.
- 4/5
No water in the room like every other hotel. Only payment for water.
- 3/5
Hotel was fine- but not great. Room wasn’t ready until an hour after check in time, we put our card out to order breakfast in the morning and no one ever picked it up, so we were late getting out the door having to wait to order breakfast, room hadn’t had housekeeping by the time we got back at 3pm and they seemed surprised we wanted housekeeping to happen…Overall it was clean and located where we needed, but surprisingly as service.
- 5/5
Very nice hotel, room was very nice, restaurant views spectacular, food was great service was very slow. Our room faced Wilshire so a little noisy at times but didn’t interfere with sleep. I would stay here again.
- 5/5
Very comfortable stay at your hotel and thought every employee I came across from the smart, friendly front desk employee to the maids, bar employee’s, etc. Very pleased and will return. Thank you!
- 1/5
Ridiculous
- 5/5
Super responsive and kind staff. Great place to stay in the middle of everything. Caroline at the desk even recommended a Netflix show. I kept my promise and watched it. It was great.
- 5/5
The rooftop pool/restaurant is a nice feature as well. The drinks, food, and view are great, and LA people pay a lot just to have the chance to use this facility that guests enjoy, including a discount on the restaurant as part of the amenities fees. They could use nicer plants in their Plant Pals program, but that's nitpicking and overall it was a great stay, and the staff was quite friendly.
- 5/5
Hotel is clean and comfortable beds. Rooms are on the smaller end. Food at the restaurant isn’t bad and has great views.
- 5/5
We were greeted at check-in by Carolina, she’s so personable! She definitely is an asset to Kimpton Wilshire! The restaurant staff was so friendly and fun! Sonny, Chris and Doug always went above & beyond to make us feel special! The pool & sun deck has such a chill vibe! The rooms are updated and comfortable with a wonderful view and mini bar! Will definitely be back and highly recommend this fabulous hotel!
- 5/5
Everyone at this hotel has been wonderful. From the front desk to the valet. I highly recommend this hotel.

- 5/5
Staff is friendly and knowledgeable. The area is a little too busy on a main thoroughfare
- 4/5
Nice, friendly staff great locations, Central to everything
- 4/5
After checking out the hotel tried to charge me $500 for smoking. I never smoked in the room!!
- 5/5
Very friendly & helpful staff and area felt safe to walk around even at night after leaving a concert. Rooms were modern and well kept. Thank you.
- 5/5
Overall great service and experience but when calling front desk they wouldn’t answer and had to make several attempts to get someone on the phone. I also left an item behind and twice I have been told someone will call me back and no one did. My items has yet to be recovered. Amazing food at restaurant and beautiful pool area and views were awesome!
- 3/5
Service and staffs are nice. The hotel conditions are nice. Just I hate the hair conditioning smell. Other things are good enough
- 4/5
Clean
- 5/5
Very close to museums and lovelyrooftop restaurant. No gym on site but passes to. Community gym 10 min walk away.
- 2/5
Way too many hidden fees. Resort fee, special worker tax, parking $55/night. The final charges were nearly double what I was told via Orbitz
- 3/5
Room was small, the front office staff overcharged us $1000. They did get it fixed but it was on our card and they told us that wouldn’t happen.
- 3/5
Overall good staff but room was stuffy and cleaned quickly some areas were missed. The coffee and water area needed to be cleaned a bit bugs were in the water jug.
- 5/5
There is a rooftop pool and restaurant!
- 5/5
Gréât location and rooms were nice. The rooms were a little muggy - better circulation would have been great but overall stay was good.
- 5/5
We stayed there manly because of its close proximity to the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures.
- 5/5
Great hotel. Anytime again
- 4/5
The hotel itself was amazing. Friendly staff, sizeable rooms (for LA), great restaurant and rooftop/heated-pool. My only complaint would be the neighborhood. I've stayed at a couple of Kimpton's in LA, and this would have to be my least favorite... only because of the location.
- 4/5
Lots of extra fees and charges
- 5/5
Loved the quietness of the hotel and the friendly staff!
- 5/5
Kimpton hotels are great.
- 5/5
Excellent service. Staff was very personable. Watch out for the resort and guest amenities fees.

Construction and trash debris around town was not ideal but the facility itself was fantastic.
- 3/5
Pros: - The hotel is located in a safer neighbourhood relative to the DTLA area and provided easy access to our destinations. - Considering it is on a busy road, it was very quiet and we were not bothered by any noises. - Modern and well-kept. - Ample bathroom counter and shower space. - Has cute little rooftop bar with great cocktails. - Very polite valet service. Cons: - We stayed for 8 nights and were only given one pair of slippers. When we asked for a second pair, we were told they were out of stock and would have to wait a few days. A few days went by and when we asked again, we were told they didn't stock slippers. (??) - No pen/penpad in the room, and it was difficult to get in touch with the front desk when we needed assistance. - Room service removed our water glasses one day and left us without any. When we called the front desk to ask for some, they were delivered after two hours. - There are a number of hidden fees to watch out for, in particular the $46/night valet parking, as well as the $25/night service charges (which include WiFi). - In-room snacks were outrageously priced. - Staff were polite, but not extremely warm or helpful. Overall, was it horrible? No. However, I'm astounded at the level of service and lack of basic amenities for a hotel with a 4-star rating. Would not stay here again.
- 5/5
Beautiful hotel! Loves breakfast on the roof by the pool. Best breakfast in a long time.
- 5/5
A bit hard to see from the street with only a small sign on the building. Once arrived service, cleanliness and comfort were great.
- 1/5
Things were stolen from our room and things taken out of the mini bar while we were out for the day. The hotel charged us the mini bar consumption and didn’t seem too phased by the fact that our stuff went missing. Assured us that housekeeping was well trained.
- 3/5
First room air and TV didn't work. Had to switch rooms. 3rd day had no hot water for the shower, when we were trying to get around!
- 3/5
Great neighborhood
- 4/5
Very nice staff. The rooms are nothing special, and the pool is quite small. Convenient location on Wilshire close to museums and shoppingl
- 5/5
Great but don’t book through hotels.com they do not honor their free night rewards program anymore
- 5/5
Perfect place to stay if you've got a meeting at the Museum of Motion Pictures. Easy safe walk, but the Kimpton did provide me with an Uber. Nice touch.
- 4/5
Nice rooftop view!
- 5/5
near an event I was working at
- 2/5
Too many extra fees they they call convenience and luxury, but are just ways to get more money out of each stay.
- 5/5
Beyond that the hotel was clean, the roof top restaurant was the perfect place for a birthday brunch with amazing service. *that was the highlight of the stay.
- 4/5
Nice hotel but there's not much in the immediate area.
- 5/5
Hotel staff was kind and accommodating. Property was very clean and modern. Think Europe/New York; rooms are not massive. Smaller in size but the modern look helps. Same with elevator. Very European in size. Think quiet and cozy Enjoyed the rooftop (great views) and the location of the hotel which is a close drive to Beverly Hills and West LA. Definitely would return.
- 1/5
This hotel was not great.
- 3/5
Small hotel with limited amenities around the hotel
- 5/5
A very nice hotel and an early checkin.
- 5/5
Great location! Was a 10-15 min walk to LACMA, Peterson auto museum, and motion picture museum. Rooftop restaurant and bar is fantastic. Food is great and view is incredible. Also a short 10 min drive to the Grove and other cool LA spots
- 5/5
It is very convenient location to travel around LA downtown area
- 5/5
Nice place, reasonably priced for the area. Nice staff.
