The blanket was to old it has some small holes too Much I paid for the low quality of blanket; was very expensive they have nice decoration in the room I'm not interested in decoration hope they can invest in blankets not in decoration; coffee machine only work one Time and I was not able to use in the morning for coffee. Air conditioner was too close to bed.

The rooms were very clean (no carpeting), with comfortable beds, fresh clean linens, and had great climate control. The staff were very friendly and helpful, even offering some suggestions around the Chinatown area for visitors. There's private parking inside the hotel area, and the rooms all feel safe/secure; that being said, being downtown LA, expect some city noises, at all times even at night (ie people on the street, large vehicle noises etc., even very late night, or early morning; not terribly disruptive, but don't expect absolute peace and quiet; the walls were insulated enough, but the building appears to be older, though subtly upgraded with essentials for the weary travelers, looking for a great price on a nice, simple stay. Cute theming as well. And walking distance to some amazing food places.

It’s a bloody mess. ROOM 109. There’s trafficking happening here and it’s real. I hear woman’s screams and really bad sounds throughout my stay here. It’s obvious they’re a large mafia. Don’t stay here especially if you’re a woman. Will the CIA soon get involved and expose this ring? I guess we’ll see. ROOM 109 Also first thing the door doesn’t fully lock the swipe doesn’t work the power is completely gone the heater was completely dead. HOLES UNDER THE SHOWER AND SKETCHY LOCKS.

The check in was nice and smooth. Got there right at check in to ensure parking wouldn’t be an issue. Walked over to see a dodger game and it must have taken us 20min to walk up the hill. Coming back from the game we decided to finally get some sleep as it was a little late but unfortunately had a bad time trying to sleep due to folks right outside talking until 3am. The other issue we ran into was the cleaners in the morning walking by and yelling to I assume co workers. After a rough night it was unfortunate to get woken up early by the cleaners.

Stayed here for two nights to go to the dodgers game. It was walking distance but you have to walk next to the freeway and up the hills…. But still a great stay because the train is Dow the street and t you can take it to union station to take the free metro bus to the game and back for free. Very chill neighborhood a lot of dodgers fan enjoy eating at the pizza place across the street. Everything was clean and they provide alot of towels. We also had a early 4am check out because our flight and someone was always at the front desk. The only thing I would complain about is the rooms need more plugs. We stayed in a one room two bed with only one lamp and a plug that was attached to the night stand.

The room was clean and as described. The fridge was great to have Parking isn’t included. The hotel staff said we had to pay for it and the lot was nearby. We paid for it and then went to two different lots snd they said they no longer worked for the hotel. My husband then asked the front desk why he was charged and the guy said he forgot. My husband asked for a refund. Then a few hours later, we asked a different front desk member for a receipt of the refund, and it turns out it was never refunded. We eventually did get a refund from the second person. Also we were originally not given the gate access code or made notice of it snd had to ask for it at midnight

Parking is extremely limited and operates on a first-come, first-served basis. It can be very difficult to find a spot, and there’s no guarantee it will still be available if you leave. We also found a cockroach in the room, and the room keys were inconsistent and didn’t always work. Customer service hit or miss.

Room was clean, classic motel feel, affordable. Staff was very nice. There was a Dodgers game the night we stayed and expected it would be loud, but it wasn’t. The water dispenser in the front lobby. Walking distance to a lot of places. The room smelled like stale cigarette smoke. The pillows for a king bed were like little flat disks and there was only one hard chair in the room so it wasn’t exactly relaxing. Mattress was very hard.

Non smoking hotel, allows other guests to smoke inside rooms and they only loose their security deposit. Smoke came into my room from the adjacent door and property manager and owner said they could not kick out the other guest or accommodate us somewhere else. They offered a $30 discount on a 2 night stay. Place is a bit run down and needs care. Parking is a struggle, and they guarantee everyone a parking spot but have to organize the vehicles at the end of the night.

What I didnt like honestly not much. None of the following was a big deal but people should be aware. Parking was pretty tight even for a smaller truck like my Tacoma they allow people to park parallel to the building across from the actual parking stalls. I had to do some wiggling to get out. Not too big of a deal and I get its part of being in LA and they cant do much about it while also accommodating others. Homeless guy in the parking lot right when I got there asking for money was a bit off putting but also probably a bit out of their control and not that big of a deal. Blankets were pretty thin and it was a cold night as a series of storms was coming in and out of the area. The rooms climate control kept me comfortable but was pretty loud even on the low setting. I got used to it and since I have tinnitus it acted as a white noise machine. Cans of soda were $2 each from the vending machines by the lobby, which i felt was a bit steep ... bring your own if its that big of a problem there are mini fridges that work great in the lobby.

If you like old school but pristine old school you can't beat this motel. To some, motel has become a word that'll make you cringe but not this one as the ownership has not only kept up this place through the years, it's uniquely modernized the insides to make the experience full circle. Trust me when I tell you that I grew up on 1970's style motels for vacations and this place has a character to match most hotels! You could NEVER be sorry staying here! Believe that!

This place was whatevers.. i guess its close to dodger stadium and a few other attractions. But all in all didnt enjoy my stay. At first you know, it was cool and the price was good and the booking was last minute. But if youre planning to stay, make aure you dont plan on having good night out. I was coming in from out town ao i was out and about and when we got back, there was no parking anywhere at the hotel.... in the description it says that there is parking thats part of the amenities. So we get there tired and ready just go into the room but cant because we have to find now where we are going to leave the car. I askes the person at the window for help, I did obviously see thwre no parking but i askes "hey do you know anywhere i can park the car or do you recommend anywhere" she just looked at me and shool her head bruh...So of course you can just park the car out on the main street, so we had to drive and found a "pay to park" area and leave the car there and walk back to the hotel. And there was also roaches in the room..

There is a Dodger express shuttle available nearby. It is uphill the last 15 mins no matter what route you take. Good pizza across the street at LaSorted's and breakfast/lunch at Nick's Cafe (don't let the exterior fool you). Phoenix Bakery was good too.

Air conditioning is by window units. The controls don't have labels, so setting it up is all guesswork. Plus they run all night and make noise. Parking is very tight. You could come back to the motel and discover there is no parking space available. Then you have to hope there is on-street parking. This significantly impacted my activities.

Only negative thing I will say is: the information on the listing that dodger stadium is a 10 minute walk is incorrect. It takes about 40 minutes to walk from the property to the entrance gate of dodger stadium, and part of that walk is through a fairly sketchy neighbourhood and a weird winding tunnel. However, depending on when you go and return, there will be dozens of other fans walking the route as well. All in all a great stay. Staff was helpful the few times I had to talk with them (holding my bag before check-in, giving me good directions for transportation)

On the other hand - the air conditioners are ancient, and the bathrooms should probably be upgraded next. Also, there is room for a small table for working - why not add one? Parking situation is VERY tight. Great area for walking around. Excellent cafe/wine bar directly across the street. Best of all, of course, you can't beat the price! Will definitely stay here again in hopes that they continue their upgrades.

Great location at the edge of Chinatown in a nicely vintage-appearing hotel. Updated rooms are clean and attractive. Bed is very comfortable and shower is great. Staff was very kindly attentive. You're in the heart of the big city, so get used to street noises, but I found this to be a safe, convenient, clean, comfortable and affordable place to stay. Not elegant or ritzy, but utilitarian and a good value. I'd stay again.
