Clean and affordable, but we couldn’t sleep all night because the AC unit was so noisy! May just have been our room, but very difficult when we had a long drive ahead of us

let me check in almost 2 hours early, AC unit works really well. nice bathroom, hung TV on wall with lots of options. mini refrigerator and microwave as well. Room looked and smelled clean and properly taken care of.

The room is big enough , clean , bed is comfortable . Parking is easy , close. However , the air vent cover in bathroom is very old , bent , very rusty and has a spiderweb. Vanity sink drains slowly. It takes a long time , close to 4 minutes, for the shower water to get warm enough to get under. I feel guilty wasting water especially in CA .

Clean room at a decent price. The room had a bit of a chemical cleaning smell to it, but it was a good place to rest our heads.

The staff were friendly. The housekeeper was good. Parking was excellent. The room was clean and spacious. However, the toilet leaked, the mattress was uncomfortable, only one pillow per person was provided, and there was no ice dispenser available at the facility.

Very clean and modern basic room. I used after surgery and the room was comfortable and met my needs. Never got an ick feeling; fridge and microwave were good and clean. Bathroom was clean and had nice sized personal hygiene products. A/C worked well. Parking on site right in from of the room. Would stay again.

The room was clean. Staff was pleasant. Parking was amazing you get your own parking spot right in front of your room door. The only issue I had was no hot water. The hot water ran out so fast I had to take a cold shower.

Cute little motel. Booked a bedroom with 1 bed and the room size was spacious. Property and room were cleaned. Was very quiet and not once did we hear an ambulance and we were close to the hospital. Parking was a breeze. Property is kind of in a circle. 1 exit 1 entrance into property. Staff was friendly. AC worked amazing. Shower had hot and cold water however you had to leave the hot water running for about 5 mins before it started getting warm. Presume if water was decent. Bed was a little hard but for the price it was worth it. Will stay again if I go back to LA. Felt safe might plan a family trip here next time.

Area is good, close to the tourist spots like Venice Beach, Santa Monica pier, rodeo drive, Hollywood etc. Nice room, comfortable bed. Easy and free parking was a plus. I did however find a decent amount of small cockroaches in the bathroom. I would kill them and they would keep appearing. Housekeeping was done daily so I imagine that keeps them at bay but was not ideal having to deal them

Perfect stay, my new go-to when staying in the area. If you're not honeymooning, don't need anything fancy, just need a place to stay, this is it. Clean, very spacious for the price, hard wood floor (which I prefer over carpets when staying at hotels/motels), everything I wanted, plus the parking space is right in front of your door, what more could I ask for?. And the check in and check out were friendly and fast.

Everything was good with the staff and the room was clean.The only thing that was bad was there was some sort of leak in the bathroom and the floor was consistently wet but I’m not sure where the leak was coming from.

Very nice, hard bed, tv worked sometimes but sometimes not.

It was fairly quiet despite being in a sketchy neighborhood. My biggest problem with my stay was there were ants in the bathroom.

Decent place for the price. The shower door didn’t have a handle in room 102. The wi-fi did not work the whole week I was there. The cleaning lady was friendly and professional. But room didn’t have a “Do not disturb” sign. Overall, I would stay here again if I had to.

Great location, fairly clean. However, the shower was leaking so there was a pool of water on the bathroom floor. We didn't mind it as we were out most of the time and the staff was diligent in cleaning it up everyday. But definitely needs to be fixed.

Check in went quickly and smoothly. My room is clean and minimalist. Very comfortable bed. Fresh clean linens. Appreciate the fridge and microwave. Convenient table and 2 chairs. A very nice motel for the price. The location is excellent for many LA activities. I will stay here again when I come up from San Diego.

Centrally located in LA in a safe area, simple room no frills but very clean and nice staff. You can tell care and attention is paid to the upkeep and garden / looks, etc. If you just want a place to stay for seeing LA, it is a great option.

The seaway is my favorite place to stay when i want to get away for a few day's. Its really quiet and the staff is very friendly the rooms are the perfect size for me and you can park right upto your door. If it had a coffee maker then that would be outstanding

Family run motel. Very quiet and just the basics. I’ve stayed here twice and would stay again. Beds are hard but other than that, it’s clean, well kept, conveniently located and a good place to stay.

The room was very basic but clean and adequate. The bathroom was newer-looking and spacious. I wanted to hang my clothes but there were no hangers. The HVAC worked fine and the front and bathroom windows actually opened. I walked a lot in the vicinity. It's not the best area for that but I felt safe. A couple of fast food options are a 15 minute walk away and the Kaiser Hospital right next door has a cafeteria.

Though it looked quite grim, and the area was not great, it was a decent stay for one night at a price less than most other places. Also, I expected it to be noisy, but rooms are situated in such a way as to block most traffic/disruptions.

short stay in LA. Rooms are clean with enough space and free parking. Close to Santa Monica (15 min. with car). Only the staff is rude and could be more friendly.

It’s cleaner than most hotels in the area, but it’s still a little dingy. Our room had chipped up base boards and a broken shower handle. Not the end of the world, but also simple enough stuff to not make your customers deal with it. Front desk wasn’t all that warm either. Checking in was like getting a stern talking to from my parents 😅

Public transportation that runs quite frequently on the same street which is a plus Close to many restaurants (lots of Mexicains one for those who like) and an hospital next door...if you get sick The bus on Venice could bring you to the Santa Monica piers...it takes about an hour or to the Los Angeles bus terminal in the other direction, also about an hour Walked to the restaurant after 9PM and didn'T feel threathen.

I enjoy my stays at the seaway the front desk is always helpful and the rooms are always clean there's only 3 things that need attention one is the mini fridge there are no shelves the 2nd is the wifi is very poor it doesn't reach the back rooms and finally the a/c unit dosen have loovers and doesn't shut off by its self

The motel was within walking distance of where I had to be for business I had to do in Los Angeles so it was good in this respect. The other motel guests were quiet and this was also a plus. However, the fan in the air conditioning system was very loud and the noise interrupted my sleep. The bed was also not very comfortable.

More like C word Motel. Lady at front desk was incredibly rude and condescending at check in, making me repeat the check out time of 11am to her like I was her student or something. Then had the nerve to knock on my door at 10 am and remind me check out was at 11. Room was fine but nah.

Room was very clean and so was the parking lot. The only thing is the amount of car traffic in the area around the motel a very slow go.

It was a very difficult communication with her. We got only 1room key so I asked her another one but She said I have to pay $5 for 2nd key. (Money back when it returned. I don’t wanna do that . It’s too much work ) so I was not happy but gave up. Then she started making another key.. I was like what was that frustrating conversation?? Now I got 2keys… But problem again . When I get back room. That key was not working . I went to front and talked to that lady. She said that only 1key is work. Other one no working anymore. I was like what u talking about ??? So why u gave me 2nd key ??? And why she didn’t explain ???? Anyway … too much ….so stupid .

This is a "motor inn" from the 1950s. The facility has been pretty well maintained and is pretty clean. While "basic," okay. No ice machine (no pool and we have not used a pool in a motel in YEARS) and the only vending machine is a Pepsi machine. For touring the north side of Los Angeles, which we have plans for in the near future, we are going back to the Seaway Motel.

Love this place!

This room was gross and the lady at the front quizzed me on check out time!?!? She put us in a smoking room and there was mold in the fridge, cigarette burns all over, and stains on the mattress. After I was there for an hour, we decided to go somewhere else and then they offered a nonsmoking room. I declined, if that’s the state of a smoking room then I don’t understand why they’d care to keep up the other rooms anyway.

The property was very clean and nice. Quiet. Parking right in front of our door helped us feel our car was safe. Reminded me of the old motor lodges. Single level was great so I didn’t have to climb stairs or worry about noise in a room above me.

Central location, clean rooms and bathrooms. Everything worked well, ac, hot water, tv, wifi and power/lights. Check in was smooth, suggested to give a call about 30 min before you go so the manager can keep the rooms ready. Secured with cctv so no problem with illegal entries. Area around is not so lively but is close to freeway.

Talk about hidden gems! The Seaway may not look like much from the outside but it's totally neat clean and comfortable, the owners couldn't possibly be more accommodating, and while there's not a lot within walking distance it's perfectly located if you're going to be driving or Ubering to things in Culver City or West Hollywood. And it's inexpensive to boot! We are SO GLAD and consider ourselves so lucky to have discovered it.

Just needed a place to spend the night. This place was perfect. Clean, quiet and safe. No issues. have stayed there four times and would stay again.

It was exactly what I needed, clean, no funky smells, no frills, but everything worked. I slept well and the manager was kind.

Arrived and was able to check in fairly quickly. The parking is free and you can see your car from the room which is great, had no problems. When entering the room I was so shocked at how clean and spacious it was. There’s a flat screen TV and decent sized fridge that actually kept my drinks cold!! No complaints for the price, getting more than what $120 motel 6 would give you.

The owner thankfully let us check in an hour early. We liked the free parking too, hard to find in LA.

The area where you check in REEKS of urine. The smell was extremely strong. Blow dryers are not provided; you have to go back to the check in window to get one. The bed was hard and not comfortable. Covers were light and no blankets provided. Lastly, there was something on the floor in the corner of the closet area which looked like something dead, but honestly I was afraid to look closer.

If you're looking for a budget-friendly no-frills hotel in a great area this place is for you. There are only two thin pillows so if you need more support and are able I would bring your own pillow!

Nice budget motel. Amenities were clean and new if not the highest quality. Would stay again.

Cons 1. Matress is as hard as you could possibly get or imagine. The hardest matress ever; the floor would have been as soft 2. Toilets and bathroom cleaned with straight bleach. Ruined wife's dress causing bleach marks. The smell of bleach did stay in the room all day. 3. Pillows were flat and only two provided. We asked reception for two more and were promised, but not delivered. Saw the maid the next morning and she got me two more pillows straight away. 4. Our room wasn't made each day. One day they were about to make it at 5pm when we got back from touring. 5. Shower was broken, was only dribbling needed fixing. Shower still poor after fix but you could wash yourself satisfactorily. 6. Room was made first day where maid took our plastic cups, didn't replace them. 7. Towels were small & thread-bare. Note, room is very basic. Fridge, TV & microwave only. No coffee, hair dryer, iron - which is ok. Pros 1. Good location for accessing LA. 2. Room clean/quiet. 3. Aircon worked well 4. easy parking 5. food a short drive away 6. Fridge/TV worked well 7. Toilet/bathroom obviously clean Looking forward to our 15 hour flight, in economy, to get some sleep

Although the motel was clean and neat, the location is terrible. Very Heavy traffic on a divided street, and in the area No "sit down" restaurants close by.

Property was secure and well maintained. Room was very clean, housekeeping was on the ball and excellent. Staff were very friendly and courteous. Area is secured with a single driveway entrance covered with video cameras. Some small things they could improve upon are the wifi was weak and occasionally dropped and the pillows were pretty thing. Aside from that there's nothing negative to say. Affordable, comfortable and would definitely go there again.

Our room seemed newly rennovated. Updated trim, flooring, bathroom. Staff was friendly. Our room smelled strongly of cleaning solution. There were no extra pillows, blankets, or towels. And the bed was extremely hard.

The guy at the front desk was nice and helpful. The room is basic but we had hot water and a heater and that's all that mattered. The bed was comfortable enough but the pillows were really flat. We had to use our sweatshirts as pillows. Affordable room and comfortable enough. Considering this place is on a busy street and close quarters, it was quiet.

The lady at check in and who works the counter is unfriendly and unpleasant. Was rude at check in and harassed my mom and I about our service dog we had with us that had been ok’d by the owner prior to booking. She also had our credit card # written down on a paper along with others as our room had been booked by hotels.com and wasn’t needed to have. The whole stay with her there was on pins and needles. We didn’t need that since we were there for my moms procedure at cedars! Rooms were very clean, bedding was not up to par. But the rest was ok. Just spend a little more and stay somewhere nicer

I'd a pleasant stay at Seaway Motel, which was clean and in a safe neighborhood of LA. The room was spacious, the bed was comfortable with clean white sheets, the shower had a perfect pressure. Highly recommend!
