Perfect stay! Staff very helpful at late hours

Staff was great and rooms were very clean.

Everything it was great

Sheets were clean. Water was warm. Food was good for breakfast. Just a basic motel stain nothing fancy a little old, but everything was clean.

Timberlake Motel was a great place to stay for graduation weekend at Liberty University. Nice to be away from the congestion but easy access to get on campus. The staff and owner went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed each day and they were always available to answer questions. This motel was very clean and so easy to maneuver through. I highly recommend it for graduation weekend and any other busy weekend in the area!

The staff was very courteous, room very clean and the breakfast was above average. Scrambled eggs made to order.

An older motel with hallways. The AC worked well and for a wall unit it was much quieter than expected. The staff at Timberlake are incredible. They are super friendly and willing to help you with whatever you need. A clean place with friendly staff will bring me back anytime. If you’re looking for a fancy hotel, this is not it. But if you value, a reasonably priced, clean place to spend the night, you’ll be happy with Timberlake Motel.

Staff was great and exceptionally accommodating. They let us leave our luggage there since we were going on a hike and were advised not to leave any valuables in our rental vehicle. The room was clean. The hallways smelled like marijuana and stale smoke. Not a bad place at all though.

Quiet and clean, restful. Not elegant but simply satisfactory. Waffles for breakfast 😊

Great experience. Everything was as advertised, no surprises. All the staff was friendly and nice, the room is very clean, the bed comfortable. It is a basic motel, so don’t think it is something it isn’t, but cleanliness was awesome, and the bed was great.

Very simple but clean room, fresh breakfast and easy parking. No stairs so it was very convenient. Fridge and microwave in room, clean towels. Water bottles provided

Another excellent stay at Timberlake Hotel! This is such a wonderful option for us when we travel to visit our grandchildren - just several minutes away! The staff are all amazing and we can't beat the convenience or the value!

Room could be upgraded.

The room was extremely clean. There is fresh coffee and hot breakfast each morning We were once again greeted with a smile and asked for feedback good or bad at checkout. If in the area would stay again.

What a gem

Check in was easy, and the staff was polite. My room was clean overall, but the baseboards were dirty and needed painting. They tried to rejuvenate the room but apparently on a strict budget. Bland. Bed was comfortable, though, and tv worked. Overall, it was quiet unless anyone was in the hallway. Breakfast was limited. Decent coffee, no water!!!!, orange juice, cereal, waffles, biscuits and gravy. No protein options.

Just needed a spot to sleep.

The place was clean, the beds were comfortable, but the pillows were terrible. They were like bricks. The cleaning stuff was very kind as well as the man at the front desk. The bottle of water with my name on it was a very nice touch.

We were pleasantly surprised. We usually don’t stay at motels but let me tell you, we would stay here again. The room was completely clean comfortable and staff amazingly accommodating. We missed breakfast and the owner offered to make accommodations for us the next time. Lots of personal touches too. Very nice.

Met our needs. Breakfast area was crowded. Food that was available was good. No meet, fruit, or parties. Milk and juice ran out quickly.

Staying with Timberlake was a great experience. While not a large chain it has good staff, comfortable clean rooms, well maintained facilities property, and a good breakfast. We enjoyed our visit and our biscuts and gravy. Very restful night and relaxing morning!

Best stay of our whole vacation! We even added a night and didnt bother moving on. Friendly, cozy, clean! People were all amazing, we will be back!

Staff was super friendly. Rooms were older. Our room had been remodeled but it wasn’t amazing or anything. Price was great. Stayed a night because we needed a place and it was available. Breakfast was pretty average. Didn’t use the pool.

Another guest starting pounding on a door at 6:30 in the morning demanding to come in. Horrible experience. The room stunk like stale smoke and sheets were stained

Reasonably priced plus had a great breakfast.

The staff was very nice and friendly. Let us check in early. Gave us each a bottle of water and printed labels welcoming us with our names, put on bottle. PLUS our granddaughters birthday and they even did one for her. Room was large but needed upgraded appliances. No coffee in room was disappointing. Bed was uncomfortable. Breakfast was OK but would have liked choice of juice and maybe bagels or sweet roll but was OK, coffee was great. Very quiet, good location away from hustle of town. All in all it was good.

Was a great stay. We will stay here on our next visits to Lynchburg.

Me and my partner enjoyed our stay at this motel. The staff were friendly and helpful and parking was convenient. We were also provided free bottled water and the place was clean. However, I didn’t sleep well because the pillows were hard. Overall, it was a positive experience. Highly recommended!

Clean

A very comfortable and quiet stay. The room was clean and the staff very attentive and friendly. Breakfast of waffles and biscuits and gravy was a surprise bonus too.

Great small town family business feel!

Great low key, no frills property. We were looking for clean and safe and quiet. Great little motel. Pluses included firm beds, clean, fridge and microwave, very nice staff who keep the motel nicely maintained. The breakfast was minimal, basic hotel high carb fixings. I would have loved a hard boiled egg and alittle friut, but for the price, i can't complain. The little dining nook was kept tidy and clean and there was Hot Coffee, which was what I really wanted. All in all a nice little hotel and high kudos staff running things.

Motel was clean and quiet and front office staff very friendly. We were very pleased with our stay and would definitely return if in that area. A great value. There was two areas, small but needed improvement, there was no closet and the rack for hanging our clothes need repair, it was coming off the wall. Also, could U.S.A. a make up mirror in the bathroom, the kind that just attaches to wall and you could pull out. Overall we rated 5/5!!!

Very clean. Comfortable bed. No frills place. Did have a slight old cig smell even though it is a 🆕 n smoking room.

Time to change up the lampshades in the rooms, It would elevate the perception of quality. Maybe plunge the sink drains regularly, tighten up the grab bars in the bath...

The motel is very plain but clean. The fridge and microwave are nice, but we wished there was a coffee maker in the room.

Very clean and friendly. Bed was comfortable. All basics were met for a great price. I stayed here due to a power outage and really enjoyed the warmth, access to water and tv entertainment. I now know where to go should the need arise again.

Its very basic but it's clean and quiet. It's an old roadside motel but well kept. Beds are fine, rooms are clean. Breakfast is pretty minimal but free. Staff is minimal but friendly.

Jimmy (the receptionist) was very kind and went out of his way to make us feel comfortable. Everyone there was very nice, breakfast was good, and it was very clean.

The room was clean and the staff was friendly and efficient. The room however was outdated and very basic. Things like a larger screen TV and nicer furniture would enhance the stay tremendously. Much better priced than anything else in town however.

Lady at the desk who makes breakfast is super kind and helpful. Great price only downfall was they were remodeling and had workers who woke up early and felt entitled to being super loud in the hallways. I would totally stay here again. 70 bucks for a family of 4 and you get breakfast super nice picnic area outside. Simple but overall good

Everything was good, besides noisy tenants.

The motel was great for our needs - very close to family, good value, friendly staff and a lovely breakfast. Noisy “neighbors” were the only dim spot. The front desk told us to let them know and it would be dealt with so that is a plus.

A bunch of construction workers descended on the motel like a plague of locusts. The hallway smelled of marijuana, noisy at all hours, and your hot breakfast was pretty much gone by the time we got to the eating room at about 8PM. Need to police the hotel for us on vacation and want to relax.

The other reviews I read before booking here were spot on! Very clean, kind staff, hot breakfast, great price. I only needed a bed for liberty university college weekend. The comfort I had that this wasn’t “ Bates motel” was it was packed in the morning with other recent model cars!

Very outdated facility. Furniture was sparse and had several coats of scratched paint. No comfortable place to sit.

It is not a 5 star motel but it was clean and close to campus.

Super friendly and helpful staff and the rooms seemed clean. There was only 1 problem, and it was a big one for me; the A/C in our room did not work. The guy at the desk was as helpful as he could be and gave us a fan to use in our room. That helped and we were grateful, but if I'm paying $130/night I want the A/C to work. I can't give higher than 3 stars due to that issue.

People outside drinking late into the night. Empty Beer bottles around the parking lot. Room was dirty with holes in the walls and a bathroom door that wouldnt close. Overall it felt dirty and unsafe

The parking lot sets you up for a “unsure” stay. Not sure what to expect. Utility trucks and moving trucks. But, once inside, the No Smoking Policy is awesome. Smells great, clean, rooms are updated, great beds.

Great place to stay if you need to be close to things in the area. Staff is so friendly and they go out of their way to accommodate. Very clean. Bed was very comfortable but my pillow was like a hockey puck. I had to swap it out for my sons Squishmallow about 2am. That's my only complaint and maybe some like a rock hard pillow, but I do not. Very satisfied overall.

What a nice gem! I came to the area for a horse show and suffered a broken arm. The staff here bent over backwards to help me. The 7-11 was walking distance for Tylenol. Breakfast was good and my room was clean, comfortable and quiet. So glad I chose to stay here.

Everything was absolutely grea

While the hotel was old, it was obvious the owners have kept it clean. It appeared to be freshly painted inside. Our bed was comfortable, but the sheets were a little pilled (low thread counts). The service was friendly at the desk. We were welcomed with 2 bottles of water which was nice since it a was 90+ degrees outside. Rooms had an older model microwave and refrigerator which worked fine paired with a relatively new flat screen TV. The free breakfast equalled a typical name brand hotel offering the same (eggs, biscuits and gravy, make yourself waffles, cereal, coffee/tea). The hotel also had a small pool which we did not use but looked well maintained. All this at a $90 price including tax was a great deal!

The motel looks a little dated in the pictures, but is fully modern when in your room. Very clean, and all the systems (plumbing, electrical) were working just fine.

It was a wonderful place to stay. It was clean and the beds were comfortable. It was a little bit out of town, but convenient and the scenery was beautiful. You could see the Peaks of Otter and the sunset was great. It's reasonably priced and has a pool. I would highly recommend a stay.

Don't let this older motel fool you... the room was very comfortable and clean, staff friendly, and the breakfast tasty and filling. Lastly, there's a pool to swim after your long drive.

I was on a family trip and I thought the looks of Timberlake was familiar, and indeed I had stayed there in the past, I felt safe and comfortable immediately. the staff is always friendly, the breakfast is very good, although I didn't partake but once, it was plentiful, with a nice variety, and excellent waffles! again, helpful friendly staff.. when I checked out, I got a call that I had left a bag behind, from tJ, and the very kindly mailed my belongings to me! Thank you o much!! ll certainly be back! Lola

Comfortable but hallway carpet was VERY stained and new wood floor was dirty. Our feet right after a shower we’re brown walking just a little in the bedroom. The breakfast was very lacking. No tp in hallway bathroom and only a partial roll of tp in our room. The AC was off and on working and the toilet ran throughout the night needing a new flapper.
