This hotel charges premium rates and delivers conditions that are unsafe, neglected, and honestly not worth your money. Book somewhere else. The room looked clean at first glance, but allergy symptoms hit fast from years of built-up dust on every high surface housekeeping ignores. The shower curtain was too short for the tub and ripped in multiple places. The sink had peeling paint, the ceiling had visible water damage, and none of it is acceptable at any price point — let alone an above-market one. The elevator shook badly enough to genuinely frighten my wife and daughter. That’s a safety issue, not an inconvenience, and it has no business being in operation. The pool was green with algae and full of trash. When we asked the front desk, we were promised it would be cleaned and swim-ready by the next afternoon. That was a lie. A closed sign went up and it never opened. Had they been upfront, we would have booked elsewhere. That dishonesty alone warrants a refund, and I’m requesting one. Breakfast was the final letdown — congealed eggs, watery oatmeal, and chicken gravy standing in for sausage gravy. This property took our money, misrepresented their amenities, and failed on every level. I’m formally requesting a refund and urging every traveler to spend their money somewhere that actually earns it.

Hotel was nice. They had an issue with the AC, everything in the room was damp and did not go away. I told my concern to the manager.

The guy just sat in the lobby sleep or on his phone It didn't have enough tissue. Popsicles were left in the fridge the room could have been cleaner I shouldn't have had to ask for anything

Blankets had hair on them and the rooms are kind of old.

The smell of the first room was terrible. We requested a new room and that room had visibly soiled sheets. We did feel this was a safe or sanitary place to stay.

We checked in Saturday and checked out Wednesday morning. Not once did the room get refreshed. No new towels nor the beds made. The place was older, which is normally not an issue, but with the lack of "care" from the staff, it did not help. These folks acted like they did not want to be there. We will not be staying here again.

We waited 45 minutes at the hotel.

The staff was nice and courteous. Check-in was easy and quick. I left my iPad at the property and called to ask someone to retrieve it. They did with no problem. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars was because I couldn't get the hot water in the tub to run.

Enjoyed the stay and breakfast.

There's was always never enough and hot breakfast available, and had to ask for toilet paper for 2 days and never received any!.

In town for a soccer tournament, the fields were directly across the street, super convenient. The staff was wonderful, and it was an overall great experience.

The bathroom towels aren’t very soft. We stayed 3 nights and had housekeeping service the room after the second night. They made the beds but didn’t change the sheets and they never vacuumed the floors. Kind of disappointing.

No change in the breakfast every day, housekeeping was short staffed so we didn’t get our room cleaned and no new towels without going down or asking for them. We were not made aware of this at check in which was frustrating.

We have stayed before and had a good experience. This time we did not. This hotel has very comfortable beds and is usually very clean. We did not have a good experience this time. We arrived at 9 p.m. and checked in. We had reserved a room with two queen beds. After a long day on the road we were tired, got up to our room and it had one queen bed and a sofa. There were four of us. I went back down to tell the desk that we had received the wrong room and his response was, “we don’t have any more double queen rooms available, but the room I gave you has a sofa bed.” I explained that we had reserved the room with two when beds and again he said they didn’t have any left. I got a little upset and told him he needed to find one or comp us another room with a single queen. Suddenly there was another room available with a handicap shower. The shower in the bathroom flooded the entire no bathroom every tim3 we used it, requiring us to go down and ask for more towels. It was a huge mess and after all that we weren’t offered any condensation for the mix up or the mess we had to deal with. We gave them another chance the next time we stayed and they did better but it was nit a good stay.

Breakfast was just okay. Scrambled eggs were dry and crumbly and the refried beans were super dry.

Zack was both friendly and very professional. He made sure that all of our requests were taken care of thank you Zack for everything. Checking in and out were taken care of without us having to wait for a long period of time. To the entire front office staff thanks again job well done.

Overnight stay while attending a funeral in the area. The hotel was in a good neighborhood, very clean and the staff was efficient. Breakfast was good and plentiful. I would definitely stay at this hotel again.

The room had not been vacuumed when I arrived, because there was crumbs all over the floor. But I did let the front desk know and they had housekeeping come vacuum. Also on my second day, my room was not cleaned. Dirty towels were left on the floor and not restocked, trash cans was not emptied, and toilet tissue was not restocked.

Everything was great but I really did not like the internet connection on my personal hot spot. I know it's out of your company's control in that location but that was the only bad thing because with my job I can't connect to free hotel internet when working. Everything was great and the front staff was amazing!

That my account was double charged and I haven't received my money back. I have notified booking.com and Holiday Day Inn Express about the matter and have not heard any response from email or in person.

The staff was very accommodating. They address minor maintenance issues within minutes. They frequently checked in to make sure our stay was satisfactory.

Stayed at this hotel a year ago and the state of it declined significantly. The celling in the shower had lots if mold spots. We were only given one key, because they didn't more available. We also asked for sheets and a pillow for the sofa bed and they didn't have any.

Staff was amazing. Breakfast seemed old. Buscuits & sausage were hard. Hotel also isn't very sound. We could hear people in the rooms next to us and above us walking.

The room was neat and clean and roomy.

When we first signed in for the night, we were told that there were no handicap available rooms, even though I booked a handicap room because I needed to accommodate my very elderly father. When we asked for a room on the first floor, the room that we were assigned to us was not cleaned. However, we were able to get the last room on the first floor to that my father did not have to walk a long ways. The rest of our stay was very comfortable and quiet, and the breakfast was quite appetizing.

A room full of teenage boys next door with no adult supervision. One person on duty in the hotel. No security or any way to deal with the problem. The desk clerk was completely overwhelmed. Negative 10 stars. Ridiculous.

Room was clean and well maintained. The breakfast had issues with things being way overcooked, such as the sausage patties and the potatoes. Staff were great, very kind and interacted well with our 5 year old.

Room was dirty. The noise from pipes, and neighbors is terrible. When someone shuts a door the walls move. We barely could get any sleep.

The only issue I had was with the TV going out because of the weather. I would think you would have something other than Direct or Dish Satellite.

I didn’t realize until I was in their parking lot that I had booked the wrong night. Customer service told me to cancel and rebook. I tried to do this and was not able to so I had to go somewhere else. I was still charged for this room even though customer service told me they would work with the hotel to get me a refund.

Room was clean and nice, but the shower had no shower curtain and soap dispenser in the shower was broken and non-operable. These are things that have clearly been overlooked and not taken care of.

Terrible I will never book again at this hotel room was literally dirty beds undone and towels on the floor in the restroom, 2nd room was still dirty liquid red stain in the fridge 1 bed had hairs, sofa bed was terrible old and very uncomfortable to sleep in. Manager I guess email me with an apology after my review I asked for a refund or discount just anything and never heard from her again. I honestly do not recommend!

We stayed here over the weekend and the staff was amazing! The pool, gym, and laundry room were all available for use. The breakfast was good-my 6 year old loved the pancake machine! Grace, the manager, was most hospitable and gave us the name of a great seafood location for dinner. We will definitely stay again if we’re ever in the area!

Love it as always!! This stay is always my number 1 go place when visiting the area. And Grace at the front is so nice and kind. Always helpful and keeps a smile on her face. I will definitely be back.

The pool was not open, had a licensing issue from the city but this was never disclosed prior to booking or before arrival. The pancake machine was also broken at breakfast. Limited options otherwise. We left hungry. We specifically choose hotels for the pool and breakfast options so we were very disappointed.

Actually the staffs are friendly, when we checked in, the nice front desk girl, she told me they will not do room service if I don't ask before 11am. I do think that's an environment friendly concept. I planed to stay 4 nights, I just need to call them once. So, after two nights, on the 3rd day early morning before we leave, I told the front desk please clean up my room and change towels. She was on the phone but she took notes for me. But, when we came back almost midnight. Obviously they did not come. I don't want to call in the midnight so we continue using the old towels anyway. Good thing we don't have the habit to throw towels on the ground. I always hang them up and usually at home I wash my towels twice a week. I am able to use the same towels three or four days... anyway. All the other things I have nothing to complain. But they should not forget the room service after customer required. Only because of this, my good feeling for this hotel fall down to just soso.

Convenient location in safe suburb. Pool is not operating which would be good to know before booking if you are traveling with kids. Wifi is poor, so it's also difficult to work online.

We booked a room online, somehow it got booked for the wrong date. We came from an hour away because our home got hit by a huge storm and we were without electricity. Property manager informed us that there were no rooms available and I was not eligible for a refund. It still lets people book for the correct day and we were told that they didn’t want to rent those rooms out. So we left and found an even better hotel for better price just right down the road. I still never got my refund and they were no help. We had family staying there as well but it didn’t matter to them.

Reserved a larger room with a sofa bed which was not available on arrival and we were not compensated in price. We were still charged for the more expensive room. Juice machine a breakfast leaked every morning. Pool closed and the temp for the season, it is June and 90+degrees outside. Washer broken and the front desk attendant could not fix nor did she return us the money we had already fed the machine. Mold in the bathtub grout.

Spacious room with good amenities for a business trip. Good breakfast buffet. Kind staff but sometimes no one was visibly around when I went by the front desk. I was there 4 nights and housekeeping never came to my room. I learned later that I could have requested it but wasn’t told at check in.

I booked a two bed room, got a 1 bed room instead... Receptionist would not do anything about it, would not issue a refund, definitely not staying again at any IHG hotel.

It's always clean and the staff are super friendly and helpful. It's our go to place to stay when we are in McKinney.

Suite room w/sleeper sofa had no bedding in room. Front desk staff had no idea how to help expect give me two fitted sheets. Blamed it on housekeeping. He also said he had no one to call. I have to convince him to provide me the blankets from an empty clean room. We made due but would not stay here again. This was only the first 45 mins of being on property at 8:30pm on a Saturday. What would have happened if the hotel was sold out? We’d be forced to find another hotel at our own expense me fight for a refund. This is not even worth half of the $165 nightly fee.

Reserved a room over 3 weeks ago for a pickleball tournament. We attended the tournament, showed up at the hotel that evening only to be told, expedia canceled our room because we picked pay cash and it needed a card. All reservations require a credit card to book the room. The woman working there said their were no rooms available even though I had a reservation number and a confirmation email from expedia saying we were booked. We suspect she gave our room to someone. Disapointing.

When I entered the Holiday Inn Express, I was greeted by an employee named Dee. Dee was an outstanding manager. In fact, she helped make the stay rememberable. The service she gave was above average. The room was clean. In fact the whole hotel was spotless. I have not stayed in a Holiday Inn Express in 15 years but will now start staying in one when traveling.

Kids running up and down hall late at night knocking on my rooms door. It’s on the hall cameras. Bed was crater in the center.. also it’s not like sewage when I first got to the room from a plumbing issue next-door it cost over $300 for two terrible nights.

Don't plan on eating breakfast here. It is not edible!

Check in/out easy and the location is very convenient. I do not think our room was cleaned - at least the shower wasn’t. This was our 3rd stay and this haven’t been our experience in the past. Also, the lobby had a weird smell. Bed was comfy.

Staff was friendly and helpful. Overall the room was clean and functional.

Well we have several pieces of luggage but the hotel only has 2 carts which others were using and took over an hour to return. The plugs to charge our phones had issues and they did serve breakfast but they don't need to brag about it. Most of it was terrible. The gravy was watered down and had no flavor to say it was gravy. They were very slow to add fresh items and what we did get was not very good at all. Absolutely nothing to brag about for their breakfast. No one was at the desk when we tried to check out - there were several people waiting. We just put our keys in a little open box.

I was bite by a brown recluse spider during my stay. I had to see a doctor and my skin is necrotic. May be helpful to spray for insects and clean corners & crevices to prevent a recurrence. Otherwise staff was great

We reserved this room through Trivago. We always eequire a pet friendly hotel. In the search this hotel showed "Pet friendly". However, as were checking in, the front desk informed me that the pet- friendly only meant "service dogs". Obviously, we did not stay and told the front dest to cancel the reservation. We better not be charged for that stay. False advertising on the hotel amenities.

We booked king size bedroom. It is for our anniversary weekend. I called front desk earlier and reminded about my reservation. When we came, the front desk lady gave us key, didn't tell us that she is giving us 2 queen bed room. We found out when we came to our room. I called front desk and the staff was not friendly and not wanting to help. Instead she told me it is same size room but wouldn't understand we booked king size for couple. Did not offer any solutions and continued to be unhelpful and rude.

We were there for a week, when we asked for room serviced they forgot to leave towels. We had no wifi service in the room. Breakfast was scarce, no cartons of milk or yogurt, regardless of the time. Desk clerks were great on all shifts though.🙂
