Clean room helpful staff

The beds and location. The smell, the showers, the thin blankets, the sink, the room keys kept not working, there wasn't a breakfast area at all when I stayed there, the staff were never at the front desk and I had to wait a while for them to come, and everything was very outdated.

Hotel was surprisingly clean and staff was very nice and welcoming although we woke them up with our 2am arrival. We didnt expect much for the price, just needed to grab a few hours sleep and get back on the road...it was perfect, comfortable, clean and nice hot shower. The Breakfast was not amazing, only hot food was biscuits and sausage gravy...well this guy from the south could not eat that gravy :) Really was a nice stay though.

For a small town hotel, it was very clean, supplied, and the manager and his wife were very friendly. Breakfast was minimal but everything else made up for it. Will definitely stay again if I’m ever in the area.

Hidden Gem in McLean County! This is my fourth time staying at this location for work and it’s amazing! I’m always greeted nicely by the family that owns the property. My room is always clean and comfortable. Thank you again for a great stay and look forward to staying with you again when I’m in the area.

False advertisement .. They say they serve graphics online but really it’s a continental breakfast.

Hallway smelled like smoke in this non-smoking hotel. Around 20 min after connecting to the hotel wifi, i received an alert that someone was trying to get into my account. The whole first floor was rented out to people who stayed there long term. Won't stay here again.

This was a late reservation. The manager was very quick to check me in so I could get some sleep. Very friendly and comfortable bed!

The place was decent for a one night stay. The bathrooms were clean but pretty small.

Had the worst sub I’ve ever had in my life from a nearby subway. The motel property is average. Extremely disappointed in the misrepresentation of a “breakfast” from photos on Travelocity. They off a nearly brown banana or an old apple as a “breakfast”. Photos showed a breakfast bar similar to a standard continental breakfast. No such thing. No pool. This is your standard traveling, stop & sleep business type motel. I guess I’ll have to start calling these places before booking to confirm amenities. $80 is TOO MUCH to stop, sleep, get up & go again. Would not stay here again.

Just ok. The floors were not clean. It had been swept but turned socks brown instantly when walking on it. Sheets and towels looked brand new.

Service at the hotel was decent. People were nice. Except cleaning ladies seemed as though there was an issue when we were just giving them our trash and asking for a new trash bag. We were only there for two nights so wasn’t a problem knowing they didn’t need to come in the room to clean. When we checked in though and headed to our room on the second floor it was hot upstairs in the hallways. I did notice they just had window open to hallways and that was it. Which honestly is ridiculous. We went into the room and it was hot in there as well. Knowing that they were going to have that room filled it would have been nice to have it cooled down or at least not extremely hot in there. Breakfast is not like the pictures at all so that is deceiving!!!! We were looking for breakfast the next morning and the man at the counter said it was grab and go which consisted of either muffins or a granola bar and a juice. So was very disappointed with that because it’s not advertised as being a grab and go cause has it been I would have been less disappointed. There is a McDonald’s next door and well they aren’t friendly there but at least it was something. I can see trying to cut corners but at least don’t cut corners on the air in the hallways or in the rooms when you are expecting guests. Wouldn’t stay here again unless I just needed an overnight stay and was leaving within 8 hours of staying.

Initially tv did not work in my room. When asked about switching, front desk clerk said he wasn’t sure if it was possible in the system. Asked if he would discount room because of the tv he didn’t know that either. Took a lot of prompting but he finally reached out to the manager and switched out the tv. Issue was resolved satisfactory, but it took entirely too long

Location worked for us, and price was reasonable "Breakfast" consisted of packaged muffins, fruit drink and a bowl of apples and bananas.

Requested different room three times via text because staff was not at the desk. No elevators. Breakfast was Walmart muffins left on the front desk. Never got a response for different room. Black mold on bathroom ceiling, leak in left corner of room, and blue ink stain on comforter. Not worth the money.

Had amazing stay will stay again when the area

It was clean The water smelled absolutely awful. I have never smelled water that smelled this bad. It literally smelled like I was showering with pond water. When I brushed my teeth, it tasted like it smelled. The water in the shower was barely warm enough, but the water in the sink was hot. The bed was ok at first, but when I woke up in the morning, it felt like I had slept on a board.

The water from the shower smells like pond water and the beds felt like I was sleeping on the ground. I reserved and paid for the room on Expedia and then was charged again at check in.

Everyone was polite and the room was clean.

Needed a room on the way thru the area where we were literally going to stop, sleep, and get going again. This was a great property for our needs. Excellent rate and the room was very clean and the beds were very comfortable. Money well spent for what we needed.

- Internet almost non-existent, My verizon phone internet could not pick up a signal, not hotel's fault, but switched to hotel internet and it was just barely two bars and very slow, so don't stay here if you need internet for work. - Room was clean but felt very old - Bed not comfortable, thin and lumpy mattress. - Counter guy was fine but he told me there was no national news channels on the TVs. However, upon checking out, I was told there IS national news, but its' on the back of a HUGE menu guide that requires you to enter four digits per channel - very inconvenient and counter person spoke little english so I suppose he just didn't understand the question. - No breakfast other than some kid juice bottles and packaged muffins. At least there's a McDonalds in adjacent parking lot. - This place is fine if you're driving late and just need a shower and bed (lumpy, but a bed) but if you plan to stay in area more than one night, I'd look elsewhere.

Every time I perform around Springfield, Illinois I stay here at Super 8. Family owned and they are the best! Always polite at arrival, room is ALWAYS clean, and jetted tub room works great! I stay at this location at least six times a year and never had a bad experience.

The property is located near a truck stop so breakfast was great there since the hotel only offers Grab & Go. It was a decent place for us to stay the night and get back on our trip home.

The hotel hallway had a smell to it. And the room smelled like cat urine. No breakfast except a banana or apple.

Awful is all I can say. Completely run down and dingy. The towels were worn, the blankets had holes and stains and the few toiletries provided were all different like they've been collected elsewhere. Breakfast was supposed to be included, but went down several times to check and nothing was available and nobody at the front desk.

This was definitely not worth the cost of the room. Our non-smoking room smelled like an old ashtray, the temperature knob on the shower could not be adjusted below scalding hot, and the door to the outside nearest our room did not shut properly. Even though there was a large room for breakfast, nothing was available except a bowl of bananas and apples in the front counter.

Pictures showed a nice breakfast dining room with assorted foods. How ever the room was full of air conditioners and mattresses no sign of any type of breakfast. Hotel needs to update there pictures giving me the impression there was a full breakfast. We were offered a bagged breakfast. Fruit granola bar muffin. We declined. Went to a restaurant for breakfast. Rooms need updating as well although they were clean. Staff very nice. I could have just spent more money at a hotel further down the highway and gotten a full breakfast. It just needs a good really good refresh! For now I would find another hotel to stay at if you are in the area.

Regarding service and comfort: The woman behind the desk when I arrived at nearly midnight was a great example of primo customer service. The electricity was out, which meant no AC, internet, or key card machine. In spite of these inconveniences, she was pleasant, professional, and helpful. I thought about going somewhere else, but decided to stay, and I'm glad I did. Whatever generator they had going was powering the lights and outlets just fine. The bed was comfy, as was the temperature without AC (windows opened, but w curtains drawn, I don't know how much air was circulating.) AC came on sometime in the wee hours, though I was fine without it that night.

This was a last minute booking for my family of 6. The 3 queen beds is unheard of so immediately this was appealing to me. The price was right and the location was ok. The hotel was quite dated and any updates that had been done seemed a little makeshift. The room seemed clean enough. There was a hole in the corner of the carpet on the floor, lights that didn’t work, toilet was cooked (so the door could shut) random chairs placed in the corner, old kids stickers stuck to the lamp. The carpet looked clean until my toddler was running around without any shoes on, which turned her feet black. The bed blanket was a bit rough (probably needed to be replaced) the front desk was nice enough. Not super friendly or anything but not at all rude. There were repair men in and around the building so I’m not sure if updates were ongoing in not. We woke up and left too early to eat breakfast but I’m not sure that I would have even if we stayed. There were mattresses and supplies in the dinning room and a questionable fridge in the lobby. Dinning outside of the hotel is limited to McDonalds and Subway I believe. If you stay about 20 mins down the highway you will have way more options. This was a quick decision to stay here and won’t likely do it again but all in all, no bed bugs and an ok place to get a quick sleep in and hit the road again.

Perfect for my stay!

I stayed from Monday - Friday and didn’t have housekeeping come to my room once, had to ask every time for towels. Trash was never taken out of room. Only breakfast available that was seen was some fresh fruit and nothing else because of Covid.

Bagged breakfast with a piece of fruit , it was ok .

Check in was fine. I advised front desk that I wanted room cleaned in day 2 of stay. After we returned from long day the room was not cleaned as requested and they gave us a hassle. They brought clean towels and offered to move us to another room which was not acceptable. I want a credit for night 2 please or I will not use hotels.com again.

Property was right off interstate which was nice. However, the area has limited dining and the motel has no pool.

The staff are very friendly, have never had 3 queen beds in a room, made it very nice for my larger family to be in the same room, all while paying about the same for 2 double beds. The beds are soft and comfy but not sink in kill your back. The hotel and room did not smell or have any lingering odors. Really enjoyed our stop here during our travels! The only thing is the larger room was upstairs and there is no elevator. But did have a very sturdy banister that she used to climb the stairs.

A solid & dependable place to stay when passing through Central Illinois. No I frills, but clean, affordable & friendly.

We stopped here on the way through just to crash for the night, and the gentleman at the desk was very nice, the price was great for our family of 5, and there was side door access so we could get in and out without disturbing the other guests. The lobby had vending machines with soda and food, and there was other food available for purchase as well.

Its was ok...pictures of hotel online are deceiving. There is no hot breakfast, instead just a grab and go bag you can get at the front desk.

Clean comfortable room. Great front desk staff. No breakfast items and television remote not working…even with new batteries…so, minimal annoyance to adults, major issue for kids.

Parking was plentiful and the rooms were adequate I thought the mattress was fine, my room mate did not. The pillows were comfortable but the sheets had a must smell. Seemed clean enough for a low budget room but next time I'll choose a different hotel.

Children screaming and playing loudly in lobby till 11:40 pm. Had to tell them they were being very loud. No respect for guests.

Perfect no frills stay!

The person's accent behind the counter was so strong I could not understand him. The listing said breakfast included however they area health department has not approved breakfast in that location yet so it should have been changed in the listing and they were full beds not Queens and when questioned he tried to lie his way out of it and say they were Queens, we've been sleeping in Queens for the previous 3 days and those obviously we're not Queens. I request my credit card be credited for the inconsistencies.

If you're looking for a no frills, clean, quiet night on your trip this is the place to stay.

The property was quiet with sufficient parking. The rooms smelled really bad. The advertised continental breakfast consisted of a fruit bowl and coffee, but when we asked, staff offered us a "grab-and-go" breakfast that was adequate.

We stopped here on our way home from vacation. The room was clean and the beds were comfortable. FYI They offer a grab and go breakfast at this time.

We liked everything. Because of our getting older, an elevator would be nice. We will be sure to ask for a first floor room in the future. However, it will be our hotel on future trips!

The manager/clerk, Mr. Patel was wonderful. I appreciated his friendliness and help. He and his family put a lot of love and work into the property and care for their guests as family.

It was difficult to locate staff upon arrival or when we had questions. Although breakfast was advertised we were only offered coffee and fruit. Our room did appear to be clean but everthing is outdated. In their defense, there is little in the area to attract customers other than being on Route 66 and their reasonable pricing so any renovations would be difficult.
