This hotel is a Marriot for goodness sake!!! The hotel was old! Old decor, low lighting, rusted door frames, bent bath fixtures, to include a hump in the tub floor, towels were old and the air felt like it never got cold! IT WAS NOT A PLEASANT hotel experience!!!! The staff were friendly but the room sucked extensively. Room 108!

Location and staff were friendly and helpful Free parking Free WiFi Housekeeping every other day And when they came in the room, very quick cleaning and didn't refill everything Toilet was leaking water. Informed the staff several times and left and it was not fixed. Breakfast for 2 was prepaid but felt we had to ask for everything we wanted for breakfast, the staff were extremely helpful and friendly but felt uncomfortable.

Room nasty, ac not working, bed felt wet and mold on shower. We were about 1 year ago and it was better maintained. Now 2 thumbs down.

The room was very clean. The AC was ice cold and the water was very hot. Breakfast was delicious: we had two breakfast sandwiches with bacon, egg and avocado on a bagel. The pool was warm and located inside. They provided towels for our family to use. It’s a great hotel: quiet and restful for my entire family! We look forward to staying here in the future!

Susan that checked us in was awesome, we were staying 4 nights, asked for every other day cleaning. Checked in on a Sunday so expected cleaning on Tuesday, didn’t get it, so we went and had to ask for towels when we returned that evening, which the staff at the desk were very apologetic. They did come in and clean Wednesday but we were leaving Thursday. The bathtub filled up with water while taking a shower, not sure if it had a slow drain or it was actually plugged. The beds were not comfortable at all, I actually ended up sleeping in the chair the last two nights because I could just not sleep in the bed any longer. Probably would not stay here again.

The staff were nice and I appreciated that. The floor in my room was really dirty and if you walke barefoot your feet would get black so to me that is nasty. The bed was really comfortable but the breakfast isn't worthe the money at all but the Starbucks coffee was great.

The night staff including the front desk lady, and the bartender/cook, and the "all around helper" were the best we ever experienced! Finding the hotel was very difficult as our we and our Google maps missed the hotel 3 times... the 4th time was a charm. The hotel and no luggage carts when we arrived but the desk person and the all around guy helped get our gear up to our room! We had planned on going to a nice restaurant nearby but we were burnt out fighting the traffic getting there and just had a couple of drinks at the bar and ordered a chicken quesadilla and the lady bartender and cook took fantastic care of us! The next morning it took us over 15 minutes to get hot water to our shower... the levers and rotary valves were confusing and not labeled! ... and again no luggage carts available!

Our room was very clean and the bed was so comfortable, my only complaint was that they didn't offer free breakfast but other than that we love this hotel, this was our third visit and we plan to visit again

The room was accessible and very clean. Staff was excellent. From check in and through out the night I would recommend this place.

The staff was absolutely awesome, especially Jay at the front desk. We came in from a concert fairly late and he was more than happy to pull out the Uno cards which we thoroughly enjoyed.! He was very entertaining & hospitable. Our room was clean in the hotel was definitely conveniently located. Great stay!

It was rust everywhere, dirty carpet and furniture, and the breakfast offered not worth it. So overall I will not book or tell anyone to book there. I was disappointed for it to be a Marriott.

The location is ideal but the property itself is very dated. The lobby had an odor and the smell in our room wasn’t much better. For the price, it’s an okay stay but I won’t be returning.

Couch had stains on it and my mother-in-law‘s phone got stolen. They threw my daughter‘s bathing suits away after we forgot them.

This is not a Marriot property. Felt like a cheap motel. Room was smelling and tv was pathetic.

Decided to spend the weekend in Dallas to take my family to the zoo and stayed here. We checked in a little after 9pm on 2/21 and was told we could park across the street in public parking for $17 a night. The next morning, not even 12 hours later, we go out and our vehicle is stolen which was parked directly in front of the aquarium. I went into the hotel and asked the front desk if they had cameras and was told, “Because it happened in public parking they couldn’t do anything to help us.” Valet then told me on the side that he always advises patrons to park in covered parking down the street and to not park in the open public parking for this reason. He said there’s not enough cameras in the area, not enough security, and the hotel parking garage on site can’t accommodate vehicles larger than compact sizes so our Tahoe wouldn’t fit. All of this would’ve been helpful to know upon checking in but was never provided this information. So since we traveled with 3 kids and had all 3 car seats stolen I then had to pay for an Uber to the nearest Target to spend several hundred dollars on car seats since we were stranded. I asked to be reimbursed for my stay and was only given the last night of our reservation back but not the night that we stayed. This hotel isn’t entirely at fault for what happened but the amount of money that we had to come out of pocket over night for the damages and losses that took place while staying here to not be fully reimbursed is extremely bad business.

Staff was fine.... Toilet was cracked at the bottom. The tile from was all loose from the leak that has rotted the floor (Raw Sewage). Had to walk in that to take a showers.

The check in receptionist was kind and helpful for what was nearby. One of the girls filled my glass up with ice as I was checking out which was above and beyond. I recommend wholeheartedly!

Room was clean, staff was awesome very kind. Only thing we found wrong was the door to restroom did not close properly the door is misaligned. AC unit was not working well did it keep room cool, was a little too warm. There is no buffet for breakfast, as it is not breakfast included, should be more of a complimentary breakfast instead, as the free breakfast provided is only for up to two guest per room. Overall was a nice stay, with indoor pool and gym. No jacuzzi that I saw and a lot of restaurants close by hotel. Balcony was awesome to have!

Room carpet smelled like mold and was very dirty. Shower curtain had mold.

We even chose to skip the shower bc the bathtub was so gross. The tv was from the early 2000’s and the remote barely works.. you gotta push the button five times to change a channel.. the carpet in the halls/ the walls/ the ceiling/ all filthy with stains and dirt. I would NOT recommend this. The only good part was the staff was decent. Not super friendly, but not too bad.

Housekeeping did not clean our rooms as requested daily and we talked to the staff daily about it as well. Bathroom was outdated and found mold on the tub.

First off I paid extra for Breakfast and the lady at the front desk told me no I don’t after I showed her. I didn’t eat breakfast since she told me I couldn’t. I paid for nothing so Expedia please don’t offer something if the hotels won’t honor it. The room smelled musty and dirty. I woke up to a roach in my tub. Save yourself and stay somewhere else.

The bed comforter? needs some weight. Felt like I only had a sheet. AC rattled until I shut it off but the thing that woke me up was the numb nut burning doughnuts on his motorcycle in the back parking lot. The $5 bottle of water was excessive.

Our room was clean and comfortable, staff was super kind. We ran into an issue with our car during the stay and the clerk at the front desk was happy to help us with Ubers to get around until our tow truck was able to get us home.

Also the photos were not true to reality. The photos are much nicer than the actual location. Lots of construction and tail spin to access hotel.

The breakfast was not complimentary and that was a let down. We checked out early, there was a group of younger people still being loud and obnoxious. It looked like they were drunk.

Their elevators did not work

The hotel room was HOT, the AC was on all day and only cooled off about 2 degrees. The room smelled like dirty feet. The floor was disgusting. And the pull out mattress was stained and discolored. Will not stay here again. It’s as if they don’t have a house keeping staff.

The young man at the desk was exceptional. There was a mix up in the dates which was totally our fault and he went above and beyond to help us out. It is indeed a pleasure to know such kind people are out there and actually act like they like their job. The room was comfortable and clean. The hotel was quiet and there were many restaurants within walking distance.

I was disappointed in this Marriott property. The tub had rust, the shower head did not work properly. It's an old building and needs to be updated. For the amount I paid per night, it should have been in better condition. My husband bought breakfast (coffee and a breakfast sandwich for $20. The sandwich was cold. I know food prices have gone up, but that is ridiculous, and he had to reheat it in the room.

Overall the property is very good. Our room smelled like mildew, the toilet tank never filled and constantly running and please upgrade the bathroom exhaust fan as it is too loud and no option for just lights on.

Very convenient location

I contacted the Marriott prior to check in and they refused to refund my cancellation. This is not what I have experienced previously or expected from a Marriott property.

Turning into the parking lot was terrible, they are under construction so it's hard to see the entrance. Horrible smell inside hotel and inside room. Smelled old throughout and like cigarettes . Bed was okay.

The whole place smelled awful. Got in our room and the smell was so bad we asked for a different room. They gave us a different room, still stank but not as bad BUT TV didn’t work and A/C went out halfway through the night. Smelled moldy. Susan at the front desk was literally the sweetest though!

i only stayed one night but i wouldn’t recommend. the hotel smelled like mildew and needs a lot of updating. stayed in a room facing the highway and it was so loud throughout the night, i got maybe about an hour of sleep. overall, wouldn’t stay, the price was not worth it.

I killed a roach in the bathroom. The property was outdated and smelled like smoke.

Of issues with the hotel, they were mostly minor. The TV didn't work, the toilet water seemed to constantly run and there was peeling wallpaper. It was a spacious room, the staff was sweet, plenty of towels, nicely scented bathroom essentials and very clean. The breakfast area smells amazing wish i had the time to try something.

I stayed for 4 nights. The price p/night was under $100 average including tax and local fees. My bill came to $401. Breakfast was not included in the price. Several dinning options were within a few feet (walking distance). Stores, gas stations and a Mall with 3 or 4 EV charging stations are in a short drive, just a few blocks from the hotel. Cleaning the parking lot, and adding some landscaping to update the outside would enhance the exterior look of the property, a long with removing the police car or washing it so it appears there is a real Police presence. The area highway I-30 was under construction and limited the access to the main hotel entrance. However, that is no fault of the establishment.

Had an issue with the night attendant. There is no complimentary breakfast. Room was nice and pretty. Paint in the bath tub was peeled. Our view was of the freeway.

The staff are very friendly. The staff had to change my room when I arrived because of the smell in my room. I was moved to another room right away. It smelled like cleanser and some type of spray when I arrived, but as the day progressed it was replaced with the smell of mold and marijuana. I found mold on the bathroom ceiling and the shower smelled although it looked clean. The smell likely originated from the bathroom. I don't think this hotel has had room renovations so all the rooms are likely similar. I wouldn't stay here again even though I liked the staff.

This was supposed be a non-smoking hotel and when we left my allergies were flared and my throat was about to close up. I'm still battling the affects.

From the moment We checked in we were greeted, and the concierge was very helping and made it easy. We stayed on the fourth floor room number 410. It was a very nice room very clean, but it did have a musty smell. We turned the AC on and once the air came on the smell started going away, but not completely overall we had an excellent stay.

The rooms had a bad smell to them. They could use a good deodorizer. They may be due for an update soon. Aside from that both the day and overnight staff were so sweet and delightful.

Continental breakfast for free at the next morning they don't have anything, they have to clarify and the place they have few years Already and they smelling old.

Our room smelled like there was mold or mildew, we notified the man at the front desk and he came to the room and stated he only smelled our to go container with my sons 2 chicken strips in it. He gave us Lysol spray and went about his day. I had to send my son to sleep in another room with my mom because of the smell and the room did not get cold either. My boyfriend and I woke up extremely congested/stuffy the next morning and could not stop coughing and sneezing. There was no one at the front desk when we left for me to notify them of the situation.

Amazing stay

Elevators where scary they made some weird noise like they were about to break and they smelled like weed. The Tv in the room i stayed in never worked. And the mini fridge wasn’t working at all. I put some drinks there when i checked in and got to the hotel later that night and they were still hot. The coffee maker they had was just for like a kids mini size cup.

We stay here for a cheer competition every year, the staff are very welcoming and insure we have a great stay

For what you pay expected better. Didn’t get the room I booked, Outdated, tv didn’t work in my room, shower was ungodly hot. There was no warm option either off or melt your face off. Probably one of the worst Marriotts I have stayed in.

I was shocked to see a property like this for Marriott. I expect more. I don't know what was in my room, but I coughed and sneezed all night. I didn't even want to get undressed or take a shower. It did not meet my standards for Marriott.

Very comfortable

I had a great experience. I was traveling across Texas for a funeral & due to some changes on my traveling, I would be arriving almost 10 hours after the check in time. The Courtyard Marriott worked with me in ensuring my room was still reserved and all I had to do was pick up my key when I arrived. Effortless easy check-in checkout service 💯 will be using them again for my next stay

It wasn’t the room type o paid for. I paid for a king suit with couch and we were given a standard smaller room with a queen bed and no couch. We were too tired to get another room.

Washbasin was leaking underneath

The entire hotel smelled of mold and musk. The furniture in our room was banged up and falling apart. The room smelled terrible! The lamps were dirty and broken. I believe they tried to cover the smell by putting some kind of air freshener in the ac unit. We were so disgusted we did not stay the night.

Very Quite Hotel

The lobby looked appealing but the room can use some improvements. The wallpaper was peeling, the furniture had stains, the bathroom roof look like it was “fixed” but did not look appealing. Customer service was great, the area was quiet and overall it was convenient for us since we were visiting from out of town and only returned to our room to sleep.

Check-in was a breeze! Angie and Adrian are true gems to the Courtyard family! They made our check-in better than smooth! The hotel was in a perfect location. Our room was spacious and pretty comfortable. Mini-fridge was on the fritz, but it kept our things cold. There’s a restaurant downstairs that we didn’t use, but nice to have as they serve breakfast and dinner. Although lots of construction in the area, we were able to easily access 635 and 30. Close to eating and shopping. Highly recommend for your stay in Mesquite!

My stay was awesome. We loved the balcony and was able to sit out and relax once the sun went down. I will be visiting again.

Everything was good until I went to my truck the next day and it did not start. I asked someone for a jump when my truck turned on my tank was on 0 EMPTY! I had a full tank when I arrived to the hotel the previous night, my GAS was STOLEN. I’m traveling from out of town so waking up to this was very frustrating. Another red flag was when I checked in I was not asked for identification the guy got my name and gave me room keys. I was wondering how is this good security if someone came in and my room keys were giving to a stranger with bad intentions??!! Yeah first and last time coming to this location. SMH big dissapoinment.

As a senior I would like more light in the room and more tub rods in bathtub.

I booked this property and when I arrived they told me it was overbooked and didn’t have any rooms. I had to find somewhere else to stay and spend more money on another property. I then called for a refund, and was told they couldn’t give me one because of their policy. How is it my fault they were overbooked? I deserve my refund. Horrible customer service as well

Hotel stay was very good after I moved to side away from I-30 highway.

Customer service was good at checking in. Once we arrive into the room the restroom was dirty and bed linens and pillows that’s just bad when you don’t wash the sheets or pillow cases after someone checks out of the room .

The staff was really nice as were the rooms.

Amazing stay, all of the hotel staff is wonderful. Luis, Chase, Adrian and the breakfast ladies treat the guests with excellent hospitality. They all go above and beyond to make the guests feel welcome. My favorite place to stay hands down.

Breakfast for an extra $13 per couple not worth it. Choices limited and not very good. Prepaid for three nights, unable to get refund on breakfast. Even so we ate at other locations the next two mornings.

The property was modern and nice but they did not have any maintenance personnel available. Our first room had a sink that didn’t drain (at all) and the second room had a toilet that ran all night and the bathroom tub had a rusted drain. These things are easy fixes. The front desk clerk was great but there were no maintenance staff available.
