Staff would be excellent except for the valet. The last guys I encountered were so rude. I literally would not go back because of the way the treated me.

The concierge Paul is absolutely incredible! He helped book a boat tour for us and arranged a rental car for the day, plus he organized a curated tour of the hot spots in Miami. We will be coming back!

I had such a great stay at The Betsy. It stands out far and above the rest of the hotels near it. From the service to the food, the rooms and the art, it is by far one of my favorite hotels I’ve ever stayed in, and definitely my new favorite in South Beach! Will absolutely be back.

The hotel's location was satisfactory due to its close proximity to the beach. The room did not meet basic standards of cleanliness and maintenance. There was a strong, unpleasant smell of humidity. I encountered a cockroach in the room!!! The faucet was unstable and falling apart. Mold was present inside the refrigerator. I also noticed a significant accumulation of dust on top of the TV shelf. I would have expected a much higher standard from this establishment. The hotel beach was closed all day despite only rain showers occurring early in the morning. We had to clean our vehicle because the hotel's valet service left popcorn inside it. All of these issues are unacceptable for a hotel of this standard. We brought the matter to the hotel's attention. Management was supposed to get back to us, but we are still waiting to hear from them...

Beds and pillows were comfortable. Our room overlooked the street but noise was minimal. Staff was super gracious and everything from rooftop bar/pool to restaurant to bar/music lobby was fun and personable. We had a 12 women family reunion and it was perfect! Could walk to beach, boardwalk, nice restaurants, etc. loved it!

I loved that this hotel was decorated like a house with built in book shelves and great art throughout. It’s an elegant place with lovely staff.

Perfect location at the quieter end of Ocean Drive. The swimming pool on the rooftop at 07:30 in the morning was worth getting up early for. The food was exceptional good ate for dinner and breakfast twice. Once during our stay there and then halfway through our 2 week MSC cruise came back to have the Betsy Breakfast Nothing

Highly recommend the Betsy Hotel if you’re looking for a historical art deco hotel located right on South Beach! The staff is so friendly, the rooms are adorable and the lobby bar is always bustling with activity. Josh from the last lobby bar is the best, go see him and I’m sure he will make your day :)

Had a great memorial weekend stay. Great location and rooms were great. Staff exceeded expectations with how courteous they were and did their best to accommodate every request. We were even able to check in at 10am and start using the facilities after our request. Juan was extremely helpful during our stay even walking our luggage around the block to help us catch our ride.

I love the Betsy, have stayed here on other occasions. It’s such a cool place. Great bar, lounge area, restaurant. The beach is world class and the 2 pools on the property are super.

Location was great Both pool areas were not nice. The ground floor one is literally a sauna with zero breeze. Lobby was waaaay too loud and busy at all times, the a/c in the room was noisy, we could hear the room next to ours flushing their toilet.

The Betsy is an amazing, world-class hotel. This was my third stay at the hotel. The first time in 2017, then again in 2022, and now T and W before MDW. The location is perfect. Quiet, yet close to everything! The staff is excellent. Everyone I encountered was helpful. I especially liked Mark and George at the front desk. They treated me like a VIP. Evens was a very kind bellhop. I had a dinner at LT steak and seafood that was like one of the best meals of my life. I got the crabcake salad, the chicken al mattone, and the flan. On the next day, I got breakfast outside, and the view is angelic and beautiful. The waiter shooed away a bird for me! I felt like everyone went above and beyond. The gym is really nice, you can get a great workout in there. And the rooftop pool wasn't busy at all. Maybe 6.people at its busiest. The staff was attentive but not intrusive. The hotel is a little bit of a maze, but with another pool off the lobby, the amazing library, and all the cool art, it's actually fun to get lost. There's also another rooftop with amazing beach views. My only regret is I didn't do yoga there, which they offer! :) The hotel bar is awesome, again, great staff, and the live jazz is just so special. I can't recommend this place enough. Hotel had a really fun environment. Staff was friendly and helpful. Amenities were top notch. Loved the art throughout the resort. Roof top pool was a beautiful quiet spot to lounge. Food and drinks were top notch. Our room was nicely decorated and clean. Only drawback is that we spent extra to have a balcony and ours was above the alley and pizza restaurant. It was really loud all hours of the day and well into the night so we didn’t really spend any time sitting outside our room.

Roof pool was a very nice place to relax and the poolside bar is a really nice touch. The rooms are visually quaint and tasteful. The courtyard pool was dirty. The rooms are small, but the balcony room feels less cramped.

What truly makes this place unforgettable is the staff. We were celebrating my birthday and our engagement, and they made us feel so special from start to finish. Huge shoutout to bartenders Adrian, Josh, and Robert—absolute legends. We were literally hugging them goodbye by the end. Also can’t say enough about Juan, Fritz, and Cecilia—just incredible humans who made it feel like home instantly. The live music every day is unmatched, the rooms are beautiful, beach access is effortless, and the rooftop pool has the perfect chill vibe. Plus, LT in the lobby is fantastic, and it’s dog-friendly! Every detail is thoughtful. Total perfection—we’ll absolutely be back.

Staff were lovely ! Juan very nice and so helpful during arrival and departure with our luggage , as well Hendrik was super at getting us into the new room and just checking in to make sure things were great , super helpful and kind with suggesting some restaurants in area, Paul was super as well and gave us so many great suggestions ans was just overall very helpful! On the roof top pool ,,, they all Are so sweet and super friendly , finding chairs and setting us up with towels and making sure we were happy ! We will be back again for sure

Great place to stay nice walk to the beach

This was a fantastic experience! Especially for someone that loves to travel solo. The property is very well maintained, not owned by a big chain of hotels which is a big deal for me. Rooftop pool was my favorite part. The staff in the whole hotel is wonderful. The lobby bar, LT restaurant, and The ALLEY PIZZA spot were all wonderful. Great food, loved the jazz music in the lobby as well, the art exhibit, library space…. I loved everything about this hotel. I can’t wait to come back.

Great location. Very friendly staff. Our suite had multiple stains in the area rugs which was a little off putting. And there was definitely a musty smell in the rooms that others have commented on. The room was spacious and beach access great. Pool area a little smaller than expected (rooftop pool and then another main level pool that is less frequented). We had a great time overall

The hotel is vibrant, full of energy, and charm. Incredible art and books add so much character and thought to the experience. Every corner is considered with beautiful pieces - even the elevators. Loved the unique spaces, including the amazing library, rooftop pool, coffee shop, and courtyards. Loved how the hotel is inspired by a dog, Betsey. She is almost a celebrity there, and my kids were so excited to see her every day in her spot. The room was spacious. The food at LT was phenomenal. Nothing

Really wanted to love this hotel. It does have positives: great staff, beautiful common spaces, good food, but not enough to justify $1,000+ per night. The double room in the Dixon wing was a major letdown. Extremely small, no storage (we couldn’t unpack), and worst of all, a strong mildewy smell with a super humid environment, even the beds even felt damp, so it was hard to sleep. We found stains on the walls consistent with mold (per AI), and when we got home, everything in our luggage (even unworn clothes) smelled and had to be washed. My daughter was constantly coughing whenever we were in the room. I tried airing the room out, but the window wouldn’t stay open...I had to prop it up with an ice bucket. The phone didn’t work, so I couldn’t call for help, and the front desk was always too busy to wait. The AC/vents seemed poorly maintained and clogged with dust and link, which I assume made things worse... At this price point, this just shouldn’t happen.

This South Beach boutique hotel offers superior customer service and wonderful amenities in an historic Art Deco building. Two pools, multiple dining options, library, dogs!, and fabulous beach set up nearby. Well located with easy access to shopping, restaurants, and the Art Deco district. We loved the personalized service and attention to detail that made this hotel an excellent choice for our Miami visit.

The rooms were clean and comfortable, but the staff and service was excellent! The location was terrific right on Ocean Boulevard and the beach was right across the street. Will be back again!

The sofa was not comfortable enough to accommodate my kids, despite having booked a room for 4. The view of the room was also not good. The pillows were not comfortable.

Difficult to get around the building. One of the elevators was down several times. The room are small! The king bed in the Superior King Balcony room took up the entire space.

Great location and pretty hotel. Enjoyed the rooftop pool though it does not have a view of the beach. The room was incredibly small for the price - $3K for3 nights. There was barely room to navigate around. If it weren’t for that, I enjoyed the stay.

Great location and staff was amazing. Rooms are EXTREMELY small and dated. Felt dirty as well. The steak restaurant LT was definitely a 5 star bill but the dinner lacked anything special. The steaks were all tough and flavorless. Total waste of a nights dinner. Spoke with several people at the pool who had the same experience. The pizza place at the hotel was phenomenal and probably the best pizza I have ever had! Drinks at the pool are way overpriced ($90 for 4 drinks). Nothing was terrible, and again, staff was wonderful but absolutely not worth several thousand dollars for a few days stay. Much better options for that kind of money with the same great location and way better rooms and amenities.

Staff were amazing all around from check in to restaurant, pool, bar and rooms staff. Great jazz and energy in the lobby. Rooms are small and alley is noisy. Shower was not a highlight. Shower head would not stay in position. TV would not stream our devices or let us login to apps.

We were traveling with friends and it was very difficult to explain where we were located on the ground floor. Four elevators? Walk through glass doors that signifies the location of the concrete bubble??? The Architect / wannabe designer needs to throw away the illogical whimsy.

It’s a very quaint hotel and tons of restaurants to walk to and if you want to do some shopping, it’s only about 10 minute walk away. The food was excellent. I ate two desserts, the Panna cotta and some milk chocolate caramel something that was incredible.

This hotel is an absolute gem. The staff is so friendly and attentive, they were always going above and beyond. There is so much to explore on the property. All of the food and drinks were delicious. The rooms are small but the amenities throughout the hotel make up for that.

We loved our stay at the Betsy. It’s a beautiful hotel that offers a respite from the louder locations along Ocean Drive. Beach across the street with plenty of chaises that are not on top of each other. Such attentive staff, a beautiful, spotless room. We had one breakfast and one dinner at the Betsy… both meals were excellent. Love the piano in the lobby. We highly recommend the Betsy. We will return!

Room 347 was great, just noisy next to the delivery area, I would not stay in that room again, but the hotel was great. Service in the restaurant was just okay, the hostess was rude, food was good, server was not observant, breakfast service on the 29th October.

Staff is the best especially the friendly hotel manager Hendrik. They support the arts every Sunday on the premises which was great entertainment. My bed was very comfortable and even being over the front porch it was very quiet. Rooftop pool is great alternative to beach. Enjoyed beach service as well. The only negative was service at LT restaurant. It was terrible service. Still my go to and rightfully so in Miami Beach. A lovely hotel.

In our opinion, the Betsy hotel has the best location on Ocean Dr. The room was pleasant, well-lit, and quiet. The staff was great and very professional. Juan, in particular, was very helpful and friendly. Perhaps you should ban people from playing ball in the pool. That’s the only suggestion I have. Everything else is excellent.

The Betsy Hotel is hands down one of my favorite places to stay—if I could give it 10 stars, I would! Every single person made our experience amazing: from the bellman to the receptionist, the front desk team, the bartenders, waiters, concierge, the General Managers, and even the cleaning staff—each person was warm, professional, and unbelievably accommodating. The food was delicious, the daily live music created the perfect atmosphere, and the rooftop pool had a really nice view of both the city and ocean. Our room was spacious, spotless, (it smelled so good) and so comfortable. The location couldn’t be better—right across from the beach with complimentary lounge chairs and umbrellas, and just a beautiful walk from the heart of South Beach. I’ll absolutely be booking here again—The Betsy Hotel is unforgettable!

While the overall service was very good, we had a difficult time getting our car from valet to leave during the heavy rain. We had previously called the valet for our car and While we were in the lobby, we saw the only valet bring it in front and run off. After 30 minutes of asking repeatedly to the staff and manager we overheard that the valet went on a coffee break but no one else had access to our keys. It took ~45 min to get into our car and quite a bit of frustration. Otherwise the staff, managers and accommodations were lovely.

Great location. Hotel has all the amenities required for an excellent stay: Clean rooms, two swimming pools, in house restaurant and spacious lobby with fully staffed bar. The staff is extremely helpful. The jazz piano after 6 pm is a great touch. I highly recommend tge Betsy Hotel for your next Miami Beach Holiday.

It was a bit crowded on the strip, but the hotel is a very nice escape that brings you to an era of class and charm with piano in the lobby and water upon arrival with very warm welcomes. Decor was very well done and beds very comfortable. Felt very cared for, safe, while enjoying the location! Most of the hotels around us were very loud and lots of live music- too intense for me, but this hotel was classic and a warm welcome from that!

PS the food at their restaurant LT is the bomb!!!! Everything is divine and value for money plus you get to experience the exceptional service of the LT restaurant staff. We will definitely go back.

Lindsay gave us a private tour and was very passionate about the subjects. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The live music in the lobby featured local artists.

The Betsy is situated on a quieter area of South Beach, Miami. You can walk everywhere, the hotel is beautiful, 2 swimming pools, decorated in Colonial style with added touches of luxury. The staff are amazing. The hotel has its own section on south beach though we preferred the rooftop pool area. Musical entertainment in the evening and so much going on around the hotel outside

Initially we have been in a room with balcony in the new building, and it was really small for a 5 days stay (maybe for a 1 night would have been okish). We then moved to a classic king in the old building, space was good. A bit noisy, the ventilation system makes noise 24h and also kids running around outside the room in the corridor. There is a 45usd charge for jazz and beach services, the staff on the beach is not very approachable and there is basically no service, food or restroom facilities. Would not come back. Would recommend a refurbishment of internal areas and rooms: even if we understand the history behind this landmark, they are a bit outdated. A refurbishment would guarantee the 4 stars category and get Betsy back to where it should be!

The staff here is amazing.One hundred percent professional. And I do mean all the staff .. This is a boutique hotel. This is not your average tourist hotel. You get what you pay for. I work at a four star hotel myself and know what a five star is, and this betsy hotel is definitely that. Go ahead and stay at a mega Resort

The hotel is clearly showing its age and would benefit greatly from a renovation - rooms and common areas feel tired and outdated. While the restaurant staff were friendly and provided good service, the front desk team came across as disinterested and unwelcoming, which set a poor tone upon arrival.

Very nice hotel

The location was so ideal for me. Quieter part of Ocean Drive but walking distance from a lot of restaurants / Bars etc. The hotel is literally across the road from the beach where you have access to towels, beach chairs and an umbrella covered in the resort fee which is fantastic and hope they continue with. The beach was nice, clean and well staffed. Staff onsite were very professional and friendly. The room we had was nice, clean, and true to the picture, minor wear and tear; also the room we had was quiet which I liked. I would definitely stay again. However in terms of space, the King is extremely limited. There's not much space generally, also in terms of storage space and there's nowhere to sit accept for the bed. That was a drawback but nothing that would stop a return stay. The room is very aesthetically pleasing, comfy bed etc. All the things you'd want in a nice stay. The rooftop pool though small was nice. We unfortunately were charged for an item in the room we didn't use/ take, but once we highlighted this, they refunded the charge immediately which resolved it, and was obviously the right thing to do, though it did show good faith on their part. Sometimes hotel picking is a gamble but I'm very glad I ended up picking this one and would stay again :)

Staff and facility were excellent

The hotel itself is so charming with such a southern hospitality feel. The staff were so attentive and the rooms were adorable. Bathrooms are a tad small but that is to be expected in older hotels and hotels in Miami in general. The restaurant and bar were both fabulous and such a great location on the strip.

Super ambience and live music, attentive staff despite how busy they were.

Very dissappointed they did not give us the room we booked. We booked a quiet ocean view king bed and ended up with two regular beds with horrible noise. It was a bait and switch. Very sad as I have stayed at several excellent Miami hotels and this one has the same potential but if one cannot sleep what is the point. When I checked in she promisded me the bed was a Queen. It was not

Like great location. Many staff friendly and kind. Property was very quiet other than one night. Very disappointed no upgrade when most days it was low occupancy especially with construction 3rd, 4th, 5th day with no mention at booking nor any compensation. Main Restaurant closed same days. $$ two of nights and this just fell flat for me. Stayed here in past May consider alternative, I will give credit for Prosecco and chocolate marshmallow in my room for my birthday

This hotel is amazing. Very chic and artsy. The staff is beyond phenomenal. Everyone is so polite. Top tier service. Highly recommend.

We enjoyed our stay at The Betsy. Comfy bed and pillows for a nice nights rest. We especially enjoyed the live music each afternoon and evening. Unfortunately Hurricane Milton cut our stay by two nights. We had to hurry home to Tampa to prepare.

The staff is very welcoming! They have an excellent restaurant in the hotel. There is a nightly piano bar. There are two secluded patios for quiet time.

If I came back to South Beach I'd stay at The Betsy again. The staff, ambience, evening music, owners dogs and general atmosphere was just wonderful.

It's a great boutique hotel. Nice reading rooms, great breakfast, good location. Friendly and helpful staff. My only gripe is that the gym equipment required maintenance and repair.

This is the jewel of South Beach. Stylish, elegant, cozy and impeccable. You would have to pay me a tidy sum to stay somewhere else.

The Betsy has a few problems - but it was able to redeem itself.

Great property in the Deco District. Staff is amazing and the food/bar is wonderful. Live music every night! There are issues with the layout that can be frustrating. Access for anyone with mobility issues could be difficult. Very similar to a hotel in Europe in that way. Beach access is so convenient!

It’s a very beautiful hotel. The staff went out of their way to be friendly. Nice rooftop pool with bar. Free beach chairs and umbrella for the beach. Nice park across the street. The area is very clean. Other hotel restaurants on the same block.

I really liked the hotel, and since this was our first visit to Miami, I was glad to be staying in a lively area like Art Deco. The hotel can use some upgrades though.

I’d definitely stay again. Only area of improvement would be the beach chairs where the umbrellas are not opened which beats the whole purpose of sun protection! Other than that, loved my stay!

generally speaking it is very good. only the window glass need to be changed into double glazed glass to avoid outside noise
