Poorly maintained property, nothing like the pictures. The AC in our room did not work and we were literally sweating in the room. We could only get ahold of someone via text and they only wanted to call when we said we were leaving and wanted a refund. We had to book a room at another hotel for that night. Also, when we asked for another room they said they were full which I highly doubt, when they did send maintenance to fix the AC the maintenance tech said it could not be fixed. Avoid this place at all costs.

Very nice and chill place to stay in South beach in Miami. Convenient to go to downtown, brickell, or further north in the beach. My room is next to a pool and can see the sunrise everyday! Staff respond very fast and easy to communicate! Definitely recommend this hotel and will come back again!

Their hotel is very nice, and I was really impressed with how comfortable and welcoming it felt during our stay. The rooms were clean, spacious, and well-maintained, which made it easy to relax and enjoy our vacation. The staff were friendly and helpful whenever we needed assistance, and the overall atmosphere was peaceful and enjoyable. They also have a beautiful pool that is clean, relaxing, and perfect for spending time in the sun. We loved swimming and enjoying the pool area because it made our stay even more fun and memorable. Overall, we had a wonderful experience at the hotel, and I would gladly stay there again in the future. It was a great place to relax, make happy memories, and enjoy our vacation.

Property is well maintained and clean. Rooms have a lot of space, great views and bathrooms are renovated. Good location in South Beach, walkable to the beach. Quiet at night, super important. Bath towels are worn out and rough.

I found the hotel's proximity to the beach and the range of activities in the area to be quite enjoyable. However, I did encounter a minor issue regarding the oversight in addressing our towel and toilet paper requirements. Furthermore, the noise emanating from the nearby bars was somewhat disruptive. It would have been preferable to have been accommodated in a different section of the hotel, away from the bar.

Overall the hotel was nice the room was amazing, but it was difficult to sleep on my first night as there was so much loud ambiance from the bar from the music to the people. I did express this to the hotel and they did respond to me. If not for those disruptions I would have definitely book this hotel again within the next month, hopefully they can fix that but from the other reviews I’ve read it seems to be an ongoing problem.

This place was not at all what we were expecting based on the reviews. We purposely chose to stay here for the charm and based on previous reviews thought we were getting a cute boutique hotel. What we actually got was a very simplistic, somewhat rundown, extremely busy and loud, dated hotel. We arrived about an hour early and the staff made an effort to get us into our room early which we appreciated but we still waited in the lobby for about an hour which was a chaoctic place. Multiple groups, people coming and going, people working, and it seemed like the front desk person forgot about us a few times. After our second time checking in we finally got into our room and it reeked of cleaning supplies. Not like a nice clean smell. It was like someone had doused the place in toxic cleaning products. We let it air out for a bit with our doors and balcony open determined to enjoy our trip. It was during that time that we realized the walls were paper thin. We heard literally everything that happened in the next room over including conversations and multiple romantic rendezvous and they weren’t even being loud. We had to sleep with ear plugs every night and as a result of the noises, spent a lot of time off property. The shower leaked & we were only given beach & hand towels. To the staffs credit they were kind enough to allow us to make some copies and received some packages for us for the work trip we were on which we did appreciate.

The stay was amazing. The hotel is great, the rooms are clean, and the location is perfect. I will stay here anytime I’m in Miami Beach. Ive already recommended this hotel to family & friends! You’re a few blocks from the beach & restaurants. There is a bar on the property, and also a breakfast & coffee cafe. There is also a pool & self healing store on the property. This is definitely a 10/10 & will exceed your expectations.

Excellent value and very good location

The next day, the manager finally came into contact with me and saved our stay big time. He was fully apologetic and told us, that the behavior of the phone lady in no way met the hotel's standards dealing with customers. He gave us a better room and offered a very generous solution. We felt fully welcome. Other than that, the hotel is clean, well maintained, and the gentleman on the reception is a very nice person. Disadvantage is, the reception is empty after mid afternoon. The next day, I observed another couple relatively helpless at the empty reception desk.. The arrival was complicated and, in the beginning, very cumbersome. It's a boutique hotel, and the reception was empty. Nobody was available, to assist checking in. The lady on the phone resisted any assistance and insisted on "a message on booking.com, which should give instructions. Problem: Booking.con sent nothing. We fought an hour long, until a cleaning member saw our desperation and helped us checking in.

Staff was extremely helpful and friendly. The room was a good size and spacious. The bed was comfy. The only drawback was the walls were a little thin so you can hear people walking upstairs and next door. But overall, the stay was nice and comfortable. I would definitely recommend staying here.

The room was extremely dirty. We rented it for seven days, and during that entire time, it was never cleaned. On the one occasion when I specifically asked for the towels to be changed—since they wouldn't dry due to the high humidity—and also asked for the floor to be washed, the floor remained just as dirty.

Extremly well located in the heart of south of fifth, with beach and south pointe within walking distance Surroundings parking spots are only residential, you have to park a few blocks away fornon residential parking. The hotel bar can get very loud until late a night (2-3 AM), no ideal to sleep

This hotel was AMAZING!! The front desk staff were super understanding, they kept our bags before check in and even hours after check out so we can still enjoy our day. Every morning they reached out to check in. I would highly recommend anyone who is looking for something simple in the south beach area.

Noise from the nightclub was brutal. Music was way too loud and the people attending were even louder. Noise started to settle down at 3 am. They did have complimentary ear plugs. If I would have known I would have never booked. Rough couple of nights

What makes this place special is how human it feels. There is a genuine sense of community, kindness, and care that is hard to find. Everyone was friendly, approachable, and always willing to help. I’ve stayed in many hotels, but I’ve never experienced one that felt this relaxing and comfortable. A special thank you to Lamont for his outstanding hospitality and kindness. He made a wonderful stay even better. I can’t wait to come back.

The location was also perfect — close to Ocean Drive and right in the heart of South Beach, making it easy to enjoy the beach, restaurants, and nightlife while still feeling relaxed and comfortable. I liked this hotel.

Stayed here for Memorial weekend and it was one of the best hotels I ever stayed. The staff and concierge were amazing and extremely accommodating, they would periodically text me to do follow ups, Lamont and Bianca at the front desk were awesome. The hotel was immaculately clean, the pool was clean and beautiful, the building was quiet, it’s very close to Miami Beach and South Pointe, the minibar on property was fun and enjoyable and entertaining. My hotel room was clean and comfortable. Overall 5 stars and I would stay here again.

The staff was great. I didn’t have the self-check in code upon arrival but it took no more than 15 minutes to receive it from management. Get your towels early while hotel lobby is open.

I like that I was near south beach but I didn’t like that the shower door wasn’t able to close but it’s okay I had towel on the floor so water wouldn’t get on it also I didn’t like that it wasn’t many outlets to plug my stuff in closer to me which was fine but everything else was nice I really enjoyed my stay

This hotel was perfect for my stay in South Beach, Miami. Mostly anything you need is in walking distance, including restaurants, grocery stores, department stores, etc. Ocean Drive was 3 blocks away. The hotel itself was very nice and smelled really good. The only thing that confused me was the lobby area. I walked through it but didn't realize it was the actual hotel lobby. I thought it was a bar but maybe it was just me. LOL The instructions to enter the room were sent to my phone so I went directly to my room and got in with no trouble. The Meridian Team communicated with me each day through text to make sure my stay was going well. I honestly had no issues with my stay. I plan to return to this property in the future.

Loved this cute hotel! The balcony was perfect, the pool area was a vibe and the location was ideal. Walking distance to everything. Definitely staying there again. Could use some small handyman touch ups.

Nice hotel!

Really good hotel very low interaction with staff which is a good thing it has a very private feel. The room itself was modern and clean. Location is great very short walk to the beach and all types of restaurants. One con is the pool areas can be busy at night so if you are sensitive to noise probably ask for a street side apartment. However it didn’t bother us at all

The manager was really considerate and caring. It was really easy to request extra sheets and towels. I would recommend my friends to stay here. Locations was really good with target, publix, restaurants, cvs, and walgreens within walking distance. Just keep in mind there was no microwave or laundry. But they tried their best to offer everything they could. They allowed extended check out and luggage storage. I really appreciate their help!

The rooms were spotless, stylish, and super comfortable. The location was perfect too, close to everything while still feeling peaceful and private. The atmosphere gave luxury without feeling overwhelming. One of my favorite parts was how attentive and accommodating everyone was throughout my stay. The staff was amazing and I appreciate all of their guidance and help! This wasn’t really a boutique hotel and I was looking forward to a cozy, quiet and relaxing weekend away from a toddler and that wasn’t really the case. Bed was comfy, but the room itself was quite bare and it just didn’t feel clean although I’m sure it was to some extent.

Housekeeping forgot my room on 1 of my three-day stay, a centipede crawled under the doorway, the wifi never worked and the barista at the cafe talked me into drinking Kratom tea… which I said I wasn’t familiar with and I was completely unaware of the fact it would make me high. The staff was very apologetic and helpful— held my bags on the last day so I could get some beach time, but when you are on a budget and the bare minimum needs aren’t met, it’s disappointing.

The overall hotel was basic but perfect and affordable for what I needed. I would absolutely recommend for a budget conscious option.

This place has the makings of a great hotel, but the bar below, the unhelpful owner, and the uncleanliness of the place ruins it. The bar was open until 4am, pumping music loud into the night, the owner was unaccommodating, theres no staff on the location after 4pm, and the room has many issues while lacking many of the basic amenities. The staff tries to be helpful, I really think its an ownership issue. The location however, is 10/10. I would recommend to look elsewhere and I would never stay here again. In fact, I had to move locations after the first night because of the aforementioned issues. Thanks to Expedia for the excellent service in getting me out of this place and to a much nicer hotel.

- 2 Large beds that were comfy and spacious - deck and pool area are small but comfy - near by to general stores - AC was nice and cold :) - Rooms were nice and clean - I left my airpods and they held onto them until I was back form my cruise, they have my respect Cons - my shower was flooding the bathroom and had to lay down towels - Getting replacement towels was a hassle and after certain periods good luck trying to get help of any kind - bathroom lock got locked and we were able to gain entry back in , called for maintenance to resolve but never showed and self resolved the matter ourselves Closing notes Its close to the beach walking and accessible to Ocean drive, after we got back from our trip we stayed at the Tony off 8th and I'll tell yeah this, we wish we stayed again here becuase I paid a lot at the Tony and the beds were horrible and the service was horrible so by comparison the Meridian was good compared , that also being said if you are going to want being closer to Ocean don't go to the Tony. thats my warning becuase if you want sleep you better off sleeping on the floor it was more conformable

The location was great, room was fine, communication with the hotel was good. A complaint was the floor in our room was dirty and our feet were black. We also asked for more towels that we never got.

Our stay was very nice. Location is walkable to things around and we had no problem with checking in. They actually let us check in earlier and check out later which was very nice. Bed was comfortable and if all you need is to sleep and get ready this is definitely the place. Would recommend the stay!

It was a great location great staff could use a thorough cleaning and some updates to the units an ive machine but overall 2 thumbs up I'd stay again and recommend them 100 times over!!

I enjoyed my stay at the Meridien hotel. Location is convenient. Short walk to the beach, restaurants, super markets, and rest of the shopping area. Very clean property with a well maintained clean pool. Properly was nice and quiet with no noise. I like that 24/7 texting is available. I only wish there was a microwave available in the room as well. That would be very helpful. Happy otherwise. Great hospitality.

The hotel is just steps away from restaurants and ocean drive, the beach. The room was comfortable and the balcony was great to have. The pool area is nice as well.

Good basic room but very very loud throughout the night. Bar on the ground floor always with a noisy crowd and rooms have no sound insulation so you can hear it loud and clear all night

The hotel staff were kind and welcoming. Staff made themselves always available and receptive to my requests while on duty. Any requests were met with enthusiasm and promptness. They would check in with me on a daily basis during my stay to ensure I had anything I needed. The room and hotel were clean and tidy. My room had VERY effective air conditioning and lots of natural light that came thru the large sliding balcony door. The kava bar was a great option to start my day during my stay as well. Overall the hotel felt very welcoming and was an amazing place to spend my down time when not enjoying the city. The hotel is just a few minutes walk from all the fun on Ocean Drive, tons of upscale restaurants located by South beach, and a short car ride from Downtown Miami. I would highly recommend this hotel for anyone looking to enjoy a worry free visit to Miami.

Staff was nice but lobby is only open until 4pm so it’s kinda hard to ask for help in person you have to message them instead which is not ideal. They also didn’t come to clean our room during our 4 day stay.

Handy having the contactless check in as we arrived late night. Having a keyless room is also a bonus for not having to carry an extra item. Great location for exploring. Only saw staff once but that was due to us being out and about exploring but had great contact from them via messages and they were prompt at replying. We were ground floor by the lift and others guests were not considerate of using their quite voices in the early hours. Swimming pool was a great extra, definitely needed after a hot day out. I would stay here again and recommend to others.

Only complaint is it got a little loud at night. It was spring break though.

Important right off the bat to note that this is essentially a hostel, not a hotel. Our stay started with a protracted back-and-forth discussion consisting of me attempting to book parking and constantly failing to do so. It almost felt like staff was completely ignoring my messages and sending canned responses. After several days of this I was able to book parking, but it definitely left a bad taste in my mouth. From there, communication with staff was average at best. Though they made a point of sending messages checking in on our status, it almost felt like they were caught off-guard by responses and weren’t really ready to provide thoughtful support. There were also some minor cleanliness issues with our rooms and linens which were reminiscent of a hostel, not a hotel. There is a distinct lack of sound isolation between rooms which can be unpleasant, though they do provide earplugs. The location is great and the clientele seems vibrant and sociable, but the management leaves something to be desired.

My stay at the Merrdian Hotel was very pleasant and convenient to everything. There were lots of restaurants and bars walking distance from the hotel. I would definitely recommend staying there if anyone goes to visit Miami and I will definitely stay there the next time I visit Miami.

The room was clean and spacious as advertised. The lobby coffee bar had fanstastic Empanadas. Very close to an indoor shopping mall. Would recommend for someone looking for a boutique vibe and okay with a 5 minute walk to the beach.

No idea how this place is rated so highly. The smell of wet mildew was so intense, when we came home all of our luggage reaked of it. The walls are paper thin, and other guests were active between 2-5 am every night. Smoke alarms going off in the middle of the night. Maybe we came at the wrong time of year (spring break) but wouldn't stay again. The location is great, the staff and hotel manager were super responsive to any concerns.

The service was excellent, they were very accommodating, kind and helpful. They always checked up on me to see if everything is good for my stay.

There was good communication leading up to our vacation however during our stay it wasn't as smooth. On the first day the bedding had stain which was fed back. Fortunately it was only myself occupying the room for the first couple of days even though I had paid for double occupancy. This was fed back by text the next morning and staff were really helpful and said it would be changed and the room deep cleaned - I explained the duvet was the main issue. That evening I realised the sheets were new but duvet was the same one therefore had another night of avoiding that side. This was rectified the next day. I also asked for towels to be changed everyday from the third day. This wasn't done on the fourth day and when I queried this I was told that I should be messaging to request this (I wasn't aware I'd have to ask each day). We used the beach towels to dry until they were changed for the next day. There was a fire alarm on the last night and the hotel offered all guests $50 refund which was a nice gesture. We were offered 20% off our next visit although this is unlikely to happen due to the >10 hours flight and a tick off the bucket list.

Nice and clean , attentive staff members. Walking distance to south beach and amazing local restaurants, without having to be in the center of it all. Cozy lobby and Nice little bar on the first floor for drinks, where locals hung out after work. Intentions of booking again.

This hotel is literally just for sleeping, although it has an excellent location.

The A/C worked great in the room. Room was clean. Would have loved more plugs to charge things. Otherwise it was quiet stay. Definitely would stay there again.

The location was amazing! A quick 5 minute walk to the beach and just 2 min walk to the parking garage. Having a balcony was really nice and my teens appreciated the pool. athlete were tons of restaurants and shops in walking distance. I appreciated the self check in and prompt responses when i had a question. Customer service was great. My only complaint is the cleanliness. The floor seemed dirty. There were sticky spots and the floor got our socks dirty. The walls and woodworks (painted white) also showed signs of being not very clean- scuffed and dirty looking. Towels and beds were clean though. Overall it seemed like a good stay /great location for the price.

The staff was amazing - 10/10 service!! They were very accommodating + attentive to our needs. They made the check-in + check-out process so easy and also offered to hold our bags afterwards due to our later flight. The hotel room was nice and clean, and the pool was beautiful. It is also located in such a good area in South Beach - everything was walk-able. My friend and I definitely agree we will be staying here every time.

We loved our stay and the hotel very much. We appreciated being texted each day to ask if we were needing anything. The texting was very convenient and appreciated! We would love to come back.

This hotel is great! It’s close to the ocean and the hotel its self is clean and accommodating. We’d absolutely go back here next time we are in Miami!

The location was good but we didn’t see a single member of staff on reception during our 3 night stay as the desk closes super early at 4pm each day. The room had basic amenities - we were given 3 coffee pods and 2 polystyrene cups between two of us for 3 days as it was never replenished. Our room was right next to the cleaning cupboard where the cleaners hung out which was noisy but no one bothered to clean our room the whole time - would have at least expected the bin to be emptied and coffee etc to be replenished each day. A poor experience.

The staff here are really lovely and responsive. The hotel has really good bones, it could be fantastic, it just needs a bit of a refresh. The housekeeping staff were wonderful as well, we always returned to a super clean room! Thank you Meridian!

Location and staff were excellent

There was a damp, mouldy smell in the hallway and room, and soundproofing is very poor—you can hear everything from neighbouring units. Cleanliness was also disappointing: bedding and towels had stains, and there were hairs in the shower even after the cleaner returned. The manager did reach out initially, but follow-up has been difficult and promised resolutions haven’t been delivered.

There was no staff. I did everything myself. Weird experience. I hated the room I had. It wasn’t part of the nicer part of the hotel. There was no carpet. Some type of tile. Should have had slippers. It was unlike any other hotel I have visited in Canada, and I have stayed in quite a few.

Convenient location. Easy walk to beach and local restaurants. Friendly staff. Nice little bar called the “mini Bar”.

I requested extra wash cloths beforehand and they were not in the room. I requested them again in person and they still were not delivered at during my stay. The loudness of other guests tiĺl 3am was not optimal. The directectional signs to the pool were not effective for actually getting to the pool. The location of the lodging was very good.

The hotel wasnt want i expected. Its gettinv a 2 star because the room was clean and the receptionist gave good customer service. The room had no microwave and no where to get ice. The pool wasnt as big as the picture look on the website. I wouldnt stay here again.

Staff was friendly. Room was clean. Remote check in process and electronic room key access worked well. Beach towel access in the room was a nice touch. In shower shampoo/conditioner/body wash also appreciated.

To start, there isn't really a front desk. You're given a code to your room door lock. Mine didn't work when I arrived and there was no one to talk to. Eventually they texted me but for 5 minutes I sat around with no access. No hand towels. Shampoo dispensers didn't work. There is no way to indicate 'Do Not Disturb'. The door locks were annoying bc they consistently keep locking themselves even before you can close the door. My shower did not retain the water in the shower so my floor was always wet. I was put in a room next to the entry door on first floor and the hinge squeaked all night long with people opening it. (I'll ignore the noisy Miami partying outside). My AC went out on night two and became heat. Couldn't get it back but it 'fixed itself' the next day. Lastly, it was being in a cell block with zero artwork.

The room was okay, some wall damage outside of the shower but the worst part was the very noisy upstair guest. They were up extremely early and every step and conversation was heard in our room. Yes we couldn’t hear every word but the tromping across the floor was very aggravating at that time of the morning and evening.

The customer service is awesome, Rochelle went above and beyond when moving us to another room the day after check in. Because the room we had was very gloom only one big lamp and two small lamps by bed to light up the room area. For people with older eyes that is not good.That is the only thing I can speak highly of. Of course we didn’t go expecting the amenities and room size like a Hilton or Marriott but a lot can be upgraded or redone with the rooms. The rooms can be cleaned better, better towels can be provided because they provide dingy rough towels. Apparently maintenance controls the air temp in you room because we woke up at 2 am drenched in sweat and had to call to see what was going on then they advise maintenance has to set to temp that we would be comfortable. Asked for it to be set to 70 because the rooms are small and get muggy quick but they would only set it to 72. The vibe was beachy but I wouldn’t return to this property. It gives more of a Motel 6 hotel instead pay a resort hotel.

Our room was 210, it was small, old and very noisy. Needed new floorboards and a paint job. Hallways musty smelling.

Rooms felt old and lived in. The towels were what you get from a bad gym locker room. And they don’t make up your beds daily. Also no front desk staff available until 9a. Don’t recommend.

Th location was perfect as I’ve stayed in that area before, however this hotel was very cute and clean! The staff were friendly and the room was perfect to my standards.

The attentiveness of staff was incredibly noteworthy, and beyond exceptional. So incredibly glad that I stayed at The Meridian; the accommodations were truly the perfect fit.

The friendly and professional staff were constantly in touch with us and checked if we had any requests. The room was clean, and the hotel’s location was excellent.

Property is good, clean and in great spot. They have a great minibar next to it for evening drinks ! The problem is that I had to contact them multiple times before I even knew my room number and how to check in. Called them multiple times and nobody answered and finally I texted them through the Expedia app and they answered right away but I got the info only because I asked for it.

We were able to hear the walking noise from the floor above even at mid-night. Agreed, the Hotel doesn't control the guests inside the room. But should the floor below get the walking noise? It is a very poor, below average stay during my vacation at Miami Beatch.

This property would be great for anyone looking for a place to take a one night stand or just a solo backpack traveler. Upon checking/ arrival, we were told it will be about 40 minutes to clean our room. We came back an hour later and when we got into the room, there was a slight smell like someone was either hotboxing or there may have been some hidden mold. We thought it may have been from the hall… no it was the in-unit HVAC. The concern we pointed out was the hairs in the shower and sink as well as dirty floors. There was one cleaning lady who seemed to have an attitude and the second one came in and cleans everything up and was polite about it. The architecture.fir this building was low quality/ dated. The people above us were constantly stomping their feet late into the night even after we made a few complaints to the staff.

The staff was super accommodating. Exterior of hotel very nice. Provided parking at very reasonable price. All my local friends were equally impressed. Will be back!

Pros: The hotel is conveniently located—about a 7-minute walk to the beach. Walgreens and CVS are just 2-minutes away walk, and there’s a wide variety of restaurants within a 5-minute walk. Self check-in was smooth, with clear and easy-to-follow instructions. The hotel doesn’t have its own parking, but you can request paid parking at the nearby CVS building for $20/day with in-and-out privileges, which is cheaper than SpotHero. The room was cozy, clean, and well maintained. Although there’s no daily housekeeping, you can request room service anytime through the front desk, which was very responsive. Cons: There is no microwave available on site. Sound insulation could be improved—the noise from guests upstairs or next door, especially rolling luggage, was quite noticeable. Summary: A comfortable and clean hotel in an excellent South Beach location. Minor inconveniences aside, I’d definitely consider staying here again.

The location of the "hotel" is excellent. The staff are friendly and very keen to make your stay a positive one. The rooms are extremely noisy, both between each other and to the outside. A room facing 5th Street guarantees sleepless nights. The condition of the rooms is just about acceptable; in Europe, the hotel would be classified as a 2-star hotel, just above a youth hostel. The renovation status can be described as "cosmetic". However, the air conditioning outlet is really unacceptably dirty, but the rest makes a clean impression, which is reinforced by the smell of chlorine cleaner. The parking garage is an absolute must if you travel by car, even if it is two streets away. Parking on the street is not possible. - There is virtually no value for money. But this is a phenomenon that occurs in all hotel categories in South Beach during the high season, so it comes as no surprise.

Perfect hotel! Stayed (7) days for my birthday in September . Free beach cruisers on site 4 guest 2 use. Onsite bar and coffee house. Close to the beach and restaurants. This was an amazing stay! Certainly would stay there again!

Very friendly and helpful staff. Good communication and they did their best to meet my need. Good price and location. It's in a quiet neighborhood but not far away from everything.

We stayed for 4 nights and 3 nights were fine but the last one some guests talked loudly in public areas passing midnight. There was no hotel reception onsite so we didn’t know what to do.

Check in was done via text & the Hotels app messenging which was a little new to us. Room was spotless, the location was great for walking around, and there is a cute cafe connected to the lobby. The parking garage is a block away and only the elevators nearest the alley are for public use.

Staff is friendly and helpful. Room is clean. One sharibg about tge design of our room, The air con outlets are set on ceiling above the bed. Air con was blowing out above head when lie on bed, so we have to cover heads when sleep.

The staff is kind and attentive without being intrusive, and you can tell everything is thoughtfully maintained. I worked from the hotel during my stay and it was perfect—comfortable spaces, great WiFi, quiet when I needed it, and that beautiful South Beach light that just makes everything flow. However, there are a few quirks that maybe isolated to our room, but nevertheless good to keep in mind - It is an old building that has received a facelift. Our room was on the first floor facing their inner courtyard. Thursday-Saturday night there was music and parties in the courtyard that got unbearable after 12:30 AM I had to request the management to turn off the music a few times. The insulation between the floors is close to non-existent. Our upstairs neighbor decided to have a bout of uncertainty on our last night at 1 in the morning and continued to shuffle bags around and walk with heavy steps until 2 in the morning. The service, however, is prompt. It is an economy hotel and gives a lot more of hostel vibes with a private room.

There wasn’t an ironing board. Not enough towels. No switch to turn off bed lamps. No outlets. An awful, borderline dangerous outlet set up for the mini fridge. The patio sliding door didn’t lock and barely closed all the way. No way to adjust the rooms temperature. No one came to clean the room or replace our towels. Aggravating door lock - it would lock before the door closed and almost went to bed with the door open.

Nobody was at the check in counter when we got there around 5pm. We got a text message with the #2 room numbers that was ours along with a code to get us in the door. 1 of the rooms the code was messed up and couldn't get in. We tried calling the "hotel" (with no answer) and kept walking around asking for help, but people just told us they left for the day. We could get in for almost 60mins! I finally text the number back and after about 15mins they got us a new code. Blood was on the towels. Needless to say, I was happy to check out.

My stay was wonderful. I want to thank roshell for going above and beyond. She was very helpful. The room was very clean and spacious. The staff were very help. The fact that they were making sure that I had everything I need was awesome. The hotel had a lot of food shops near by and the beach in walking distance. I will definitely be staying at the meridian again. I will be recommending it to other as well

Everything excellent.

The room was clean and had the perfect size for a solo traveler. There are enough towels and shampoo, and a working refrigerator. The staff were incredibly accommodating and kept asking if everything was alright, or if they could help in any way, which I thought was great! The only minor drawback: Since it's located directly on the main road, it can be a bit noisy in the evenings due to passing cars, but that didn't really bother me.

Second day morning - Coffee machine didn’t work because all the water leaked out to the floor. Complaint was made and a new one was brought in while we were out but with no condiments so we could not make coffee. After complaining again, it was provided. Rochelle at the front desk was very apologetic and did a good job of customer service by giving us a $100.00 credit. She mentioned the hotel was under new management and appreciated the feedback. I will definitely not book this hotel again.

Virtual front desk is a real nightmare and I won’t ever book another hotel with one. Our flight arrived late in Miami and getting information on how to check into our room was near impossible to get until the very last minute. The room itself was clean, but is barren with virtually no other furniture, other than the bed. The bar fridge was a hole in the wall with an electrical cord dangling. I would not recommend staying at this hotel.

I must say this experience was a little different than what I'm used to. I'm used to only staying at big chain hotels and The Meridian Hotel is a small boutique hotel. Rochelle was there for check in and check out. Our rooms were ready as soon as we arrived. I really liked that. The rooms are small and quaint but what I expected for the price.The small issues we did have were recrified once we brought it to their attention. It's in a safe location and close to the beach,shops and good food. Reading some of the reviews had me a little skeptical but overall we were satisfied.

This is an awesomely located, clean boutique hotel but what makes it 5 stars are the attentive and friendly staff. Rochelle and team even are available by text on off hours and go above and beyond. This is my choice for a weekend getaway or an extended stay.

At first I thought it was a hotel and I’ll be able to go any time and check in and get the parking access but nope. If you don’t arrive 9-5 you better read your emails. You code is emailed to you and you had to let them know about parking a few days before arriving so pass can be in your room. The parking garage is at the cvs 2 blocks away(wasn’t a bad walk or inconvenience). I missed the first day

The hotel has an ideal location: the beach, shops, restaurants, and walking areas are all very close by. The staff are very friendly and attentive to guests’ needs. The hotel is kept very clean and well-maintained. I can’t rate the pool because it was closed during our stay for some reason. There was a slightly unpleasant smell in the hallway, but I hope this issue will be resolved soon. Overall, our impression of the vacation was very positive.

Room was easy to get to, clean inside. Had poolside view, good bathroom and tv option. Quick walk to south beach Miami, near by restaurants. 10min walk to ocean drive and night life. Great communication from our booking person. Additional bedding bought to room on request. May suggest to put a dustpan and broom in the room to sweep up sand that gets dragged in from the beach. Coffee pod machine and small fridge. Wasn’t happy about the smoking smell coming from downstairs in the outdoor area. However this was bought to the attention of the office and was rectified quickly. Would be happy to visit again. Thank you for the easy process and great communication.

The code we received didn’t work for our room lock. We waited for 1.5 hours in the lobby for a new code and a new room. They initially gave us the wrong room number, and then the room they offered had only one bed, even though we had booked two queen beds. In the end, they offered us two separate rooms.

Great stay

The front desk staff are fantastic — friendly, professional, and really helpful. Even when no one’s there, they leave clear instructions for check in and check out, and accessing your room, which makes everything super easy. There’s a great juice bar and a comfortable workspace in the lobby. I got a ton of work done just sitting there with my laptop and phone. The rooms are spacious, spotless, and cozy — exactly what you need. The soaps and bathroom amenities are top quality, which was a nice touch. While the pool deck is currently closed, they make up for it with access to a sister property nearby that you can easily reach by Uber if you want to hang out by the pool. The location is fantastic. It’s very walkable, with plenty of nice restaurants and cool spots to explore in South Beach. The value for the area is excellent. I’ll definitely be staying here again and highly recommend it!

This is a great option for a budget accommodation in Miami Beach. The stuff was absolutely amazing and location is great. The building is old and some areas had a funny smell but overall, it was good for the money!

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The room was very clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. The staff was friendly and always willing to help with anything I needed. The pool area was relaxing, and I appreciated how quiet the environment was throughout my visit. The location was also convenient, with easy access to nearby restaurants and attractions. Overall, it was a pleasant experience, and I would definitely recommend this hotel to other travelers.

I didn’t have a pet but the property was family oriented and super nice

The pool was closed because the water pump was down, so we couldn't use it.

We stripped the bed and now noticed that the bed was wet from the sheets and the room smelt musky. Texted them again and requested a new room but were told they didn’t have any available. They offered no further solution. It’s clear that the cleaning staff put wet sheets on the bed. With nobody returning our calls and only communicating through text we had no other option but to leave this hotel and go to a different one across the street. Mistakes happen but it is how this hotel is handling the aftermath that should scare you away. The employee named Niccolo was rude and intimidating and would only agree to refund our stay if we didn’t write a bad review. I told him my refund should not be contingent on my review. They refused to refund our stay. I contacted Hotels.com and was told that Hotels.com would not be able to refund our stay because the hotel would not approve it. BE WARNED - Hotels.com will not stand behind its customers. My booking was through Hotels.com not The Meridian Hotel and in my opinion the responsibility of any refund should ultimately be with Hotels.com This is not the way to handle a situation. I will never recommend this hotel and i'm not sure if i would recommend Hotels.com

An odd but interesting experience…it was like staying in a safe…never saw a hotel employee…but room was cool clean and comfortable….weird… but I would stay again! Easy walk to beach…

Great location for precruise stay

This property has a self check-in service, Which is very convenient, especially because we had a late arrival. We did encounter a few issues. The first room we were given had a bad odor of mildew or mold. But we ended up speaking with property manager and they didn’t hesitate to give us a new room. Which was great. Clean and No odor. Unfortunately the pool was not in service during our stay. This was disappointing because it was one of the reasons why we chose this hotel. However thanks to management, they refunded us the property fee for the inconvenience. I would like to shout out Francesca (property manager) for being so accommodating and responsive and making sure we were satisfied. Especially since their management company just took over a week before our arrival. All in all I would return to The meridian simply because of Francesca’s great customer service
