The hotel receives mixed reviews with guests appreciating the location, staff, and pool area, but expressing disappointment with construction noise, room cleanliness, and amenities. A special thank you to Denzel, the Front Desk Manager, whose professionalism, attentiveness, and genuine hospitality made our stay even more enjoyable. The pool attendants were equally outstanding, always attentive and ensuring guests had everything they needed. What sets this property apart is the exceptional staff. Everyone is consistently friendly, helpful, and accommodating, especially when unexpected circumstances arise during your visit. Their commitment to guest satisfaction is evident in every interaction. If you’re looking for a relaxing beachfront stay with outstanding service, beautiful accommodations, and an unbeatable location, this is the place to be. We look forward to returning again and again.

You're paying for location at this resort. This is not a $500+ a night resort. I also understand we went over a holiday weekend so one of our nights was over $800, and it's not even close to being an $800 a night room, it was like an old school $100 a night room at the Days Inn. Bathroom floor tile needs to be completely replaced, the carpet in the hallways need to be replaced. It's a very old building that needs lots of updates. Like I said you're paying for the location. The drinks at the pool bar are $25+ and not many options, it's very expensive place to stay and there's zero amenities. The property doesn't even have a hotel restaurant or bar besides the pool bar and it closes at 6:30 then you're on your own, you have to leave the property to get just about anything you need. I was highly disappointed that I paid over $3,000 for 4 nights, we could've stayed at the Lowe's or the Ritz for the same amount of money and both of those hotels are much much nicer. Won't be going back to the Savoy I'll just uber to south of 5th if I have to next time I come to South beach. It's not worth the ridiculous amount of money their rooms are especially when they have zero amenities for their guest. Oh yea and they sell day passes to the public and we couldn't even get chairs by the pool the first two days we were there bc they were all taken and hotel guest don't get any kind of priority over the day passers.

If you are looking for convenience this is it!! The beach chairs (with cushions/towel in included) at the pool and beach, first come first served. Beach views exceptional. It's a private beach so no overcrowding. The hotel/room was clean and the staff was extremely helpful and accommodating.

We were initially given a horrible room right next to the entrance with no view or balcony. Weirdest of all the toilet and bathroom formed a kind of corridor between the entrance and sofa and the actual bedroom. However, after one night we were moved to a wonderful ocean view suite so all is forgiven :-)

The Savoy is amazing! So clean! Staff was SO friendly and helpful. Great location! Close to all the action but just far enough away from the noise. The cabana staff was amazing! They delivered drinks and food to your louge chairs at the pool and the beach! The view is awesome. It is near the action but is its own little nirvana. We stayed in the junior suite with 3 balconies and a waterfront view. It was breathtaking and very spacious. It was beyond beautiful. The food at the cabana was delicious. The advocado toast was jam packed with guacamole and fresh advocado. Beautiful breakfasts!!!! The drinks were fantastic. The pool was so clean. So was the beach. As soon as someone got up to leave, there were new fresh rolled towels waiting for the next guest. I can't say enough good things about this resort. The staff is so very friendly and helpful. Ten stars!

a suite with 2 rooms made the stay that much more enjoyable. And the outdoor area is beautiful, 2 pools leading to the beach. The staff is very friendly and helpful, especially the front desk and the small restaurant near the pools. We ate breakfast there each morning and the service was great as was the food.

Wonderful appointed room (Junior Suite). I particularly enjoyed the size of the suite, the two private balconies and the views of the palm trees. My room offered me peace and tranquility. The room has hardwood floors, so you will hear the noise from the traveler above you if you are on a lower floor. Customer service was superb! Great pool, drinks, and food! Minutes from the beach and boardwalk, along with restaurants and bars.

This is our second stay at the Savoy. The location is perfect and accommodations roomy and very Miami. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Each time we did have issues with either our room not attended to or not able to get extra bedding for the pull out. They are often short staffed and one person is responsible for the front desk, housekeeping, and any customer needs. But the staff all tried their best and enjoyed our stay. The best part is that the hotel is located right at the end of Miami Beach so it's very quiet but the party is literally a block away.

The hotel lacks atmosphere in the evenings and could do with some light entertainment. There is no restaurant to speak of - just a small sand bar with a few tables. Nowhere to sit indoors to eat if you wanted. If you are English, take your own tea bags as they do not provide English tea but we bought some from a great supermarket across the street called Wallgreens. The staff there were very helpful. Pool area was clean and very pleasant.

The rooms were very clean, and the staff was outstanding — genuinely warm, attentive, and professional. Marco, the concierge, deserves a special mention for being friendly and offering great suggestions. I traveled solo, and safety is a big priority for me. I felt completely safe the entire time — never once uncomfortable in the hotel or on the property. The beach was clean, well maintained, and the beach staff was excellent. Honestly, I can’t say enough about the staff overall — they were consistently amazing and really elevated the experience. A few minor things to note: The rooms are very, very small. For one person, it felt tight. For two people, you’d likely be tripping over each other. With a child, it would be impractical. There is ample closet space, but the actual living/sleeping area is extremely limited. At $300+ per night, I would strongly recommend upsizing if you’re traveling with more than one person. Housekeeping signage was a bit confusing at first — they use a hanging system rather than traditional door signs. The building is an older boutique / Art Deco hotel, so walls are thin and you can hear people above you. It didn’t bother me personally, but light sleepers should consider this. There are no full-length mirrors in the rooms or anywhere in the building. That said, the location, vibe, and service more than make up for those limitations. I’m already planning my next trip back. Highly recommend i

Stayed in room 326 Nov 7and 8. Everything was good but not great. The room itself was very spacious and clean. If I had a suggestion, get new flooring throughout this room. The tiles werent dirty but they looked it from wear and tear. Also there is a huge spot right by the south sliding glass door that is very soft and sinks. Im not sure if its from water damage or warping but it should be fixed. Other than that the entire staff, from the front desk to the pool were very friendly professional.

The historic style, the location, the pool, the direct access to the beach. - Weather and pool conditions: It was raining when we arrived, and the pools were neither heated nor properly maintained. It got better after 2 days. - Hotel atmosphere and occupancy: The hotel felt lifeless and eerily quiet. Only half the rooms were operational, with the remaining section closed for pending renovations. - Restaurant experience: We previously enjoyed dining at their restaurant for lunch, but it has completely deteriorated. What was once a proper restaurant is now essentially an overpriced snack bar—we paid over $100 for two mediocre sandwiches, one cocktail, and sparkling water. Extremely disappointing. - Room quality vs. price: While our ocean-view room was spacious, it cost $500 per night—their most expensive option. However, the bathroom lacked adequate storage for toiletries, and the coffee machine only made short espressos. I had to request a kettle separately. - View concerns: The ocean and pool view was underwhelming. Despite being able to see the water, our sightline also included unsightly trash bins behind the building near the pool area. Some landscaping or screening could have easily concealed this eyesore. - Maintenance issues: One of the French doors had a hole in the window frame that allowed wind to blow through the room. - Breakfast: We skipped breakfast due to poor options and excessive pricing.

Old nice historical place Usually, I do not leave reviews, but this time I would like to share the story that happened in this hotel. I made two separate bookings to stay there. First two nights in a small and cheap room, the next three in the more expensive room. The front desk clerk told me that both reservations' rooms were the same. After two nights, I checked my reservation and found that he had misled me. They refused to transfer me to a bigger room, because, of course, they had put another guest in it. Finally, I spent just one last night in the room I had paid for. No compensation, and they even refused to give me a late check-out for a couple of hours. Also, I paid for their included breakfasts, but this was very small and very cheap. In windy weather, they do not open the beach umbrellas, even though all other hotels open theirs. I think this old and nice hotel deserves better management and better-trained staff. The current ones are only good at selling their cheap meals from the hotel cafe on the beach for crazy prices.

Unfortunately the condition of the property is poor and badly in need of renovation. The pool needs work: There is paint peeling everywhere off the pool decks. Staying at a place like the savoy definitely has an intimate charm but you forgo the amenities of a larger hotel and a bigger staff. Getting coffee to the room was a big issue. Little things. Major issue is people walking in off the street getting front row chairs when I’m a paying guest at the hotel, being charged every fee imaginable. Including the resort fee which covers umbrellas and chairs. Completely unacceptable!! Other than that the beds are great and what staff they do have is very nice!! My room was gorgeous. If your looking for a more lively atmosphere and no kids this isn’t the place for you!!!

My biggest complaint was the pool/beach hours, it was very disappointing that the pool closed so early (5-6pm). It would have been nice to enjoy the pool later in the day when you just want to relax at the end of the day. Also other complaint was everything in the room creaked a little bit, the bed was very noisy and the bathroom door was loud too. Other than that we had a great experience with the hotel.

The ability to get food (and drinks) from the restaurant while lounging under an umbrella is not to be underestimated. That goes for the beach as well. Comfortable beach gear with umbrella, towel and recliner provided by the hotel as well. On the other hand. They do charge $45 extra daily fee for that, which is not included in Expedia's pricing!

However, there are a few downsides to consider based on our experience. First, we confirmed a noon check out time. When we returned from breakfast at 1145 am our room was already being serviced/cleaned and all our personal belongings were moved to the lobby area by the staff. We also had do not disturb tag on the door and I confirmed noon check out that morning with the woman at the front desk. Our personal property should not have been removed from the room, nor left on a cart in an unlocked location. We had personal and confidential materials safely locked in our room intentionally. Second, you’ll pay a resort fee for services. We spent Monday at the beach with no towel service. The hotel sells day beach passes and perhaps they ran out of towels over the weekend. But hotel guests who are paying resort fees should have access to towel service. They said more towels were coming in 30 minutes and every hour I asked still no towels. Finally, be prepared for first noise. I would ask for a top floor as the hallways and floors are very thin and the AC is very loud when it kicks on.

Cute boutique hotel that is on Ocean Drive, within walking distance to South Beach and with direct beach access. We landed at 9am but our room was not available until 4pm checkin so we enjoyed the pool all day. Our room was large, with a separate bedroom and living area. There are 2 pools on site and one was heated. Pool staff was very friendly and welcoming. There was plenty of seating by the pool and the hotel was not overcrowded. Great location on the quiet side of the beach. We enjoyed our stay at this hotel and we would stay again.

I love this place. The location is perfect with superb access to beach and boardwalk and on the best side of SOBE… an architectural art deco gem and I hope the owners are able to fully renovate the other building next door to keep it true to it’s deco design so to make this famed resort even more accessible to other travelers. Everyone from Denzo at the front desk, to the pool attendants, to the on the beach personnel were all super friendly and helpful. Daily cleaning was prompt and professional and when I needed anything it was delivered within minutes. Plus I had room 326 which was exceptional with balcony overlooking the pools and the beach. I will be back. TY!!!

Our room wasn’t ready at 4pm at check in time though and we didn’t receive a call like they said they would to let us know when it was ready, we had to return and enquire. The pool area looks in need of a fresh lick of paint. The staff were all pleasant and provided good recommendations on the local area. Good walking to distance to the main sights, with direct access to the beach. No onsite parking but parking lot across the street is $40 for overnight.

No Parking, lot across the street not affiliated with the hotel. My car was towed even though I told them them I would be staying 4 nights. Attendents have very limited English so they probably had no clue. Air conditioning in room did not work we had to move ourselves. No security hotel has at least 4 access doors key card not used for elevator. Anyone can just walk in and go to any floor. Day after checkout credit card billed for $110, don’t know what for since no one answers the hotel phone. Hotel pool not heated therefore not usable except maybe in August.

And now the negatives: the air conditioning in the rooms (yes, both rooms) is very noisy such that it woke one of us up pretty much every time it started. It vibrated really hard when it switched on and it was louder than any A/C units I've ever heard, and I've been to cheap hotels/motels. Fan speed was not adjustable. It wasn't just me complaining, but also my wife and 2 kids. We also had a couple issues with our room such as the safe wasn't working so they had to send the maintenance guy to fix it, there was a leak from a nearby attached room that caused a puddle in our room, and housekeeping did not make up our room and refresh our towels even a few hours after we requested them to. After complaining, they moved us one floor up and said the A/C is better in that room. It was as loud but maybe did not vibrate as much as the one in the other room. The hotel is "historic" so it's old but you can clearly tell they're not keeping up with the needed maintenance, which is sad because it has great potential. Perhaps someone will acquire it and improve upon the rooms and overall property

The TV is outdated and doesn’t support Netflix. At night, you can hear neighbors moving around and slamming doors, making it hard to sleep. The bed is large but creaks loudly with even the smallest movement. There’s also a mini router near the bed that makes an annoying sound, which I had to turn off immediately. The air conditioning stopped working on our second night. When I called the front desk, the staff member was unhelpful and acted as if I had broken it. By morning, it still hadn’t been fixed. The pool is warm but has a lot of sand because there’s no proper place to wash your feet—just one shower with a long line. We encountered issues returning from the beach when we got stuck at the gate just before it closed. When I called for help, I was put on hold and had to walk around the hotel to get back. The receptionist didn’t apologize and said the gate was faulty due to rain. Also, to get towels for the beach, you have to check in for a bracelet, but this isn’t clearly communicated. You only find out if you ask the staff or other guests. On top of that, we were kept awake by construction noise for two nights. Overall, my experience was disappointing, and I regret choosing this hotel.

When you come to Miami to stay in the beach and you reserve a nice room with two balconies, you expect to have a wonderful view. That’s why you chose that specific room. When we checked in we were told that no balconies can be accesses. All is is being painted and off limit is with scaffolding and nets. So essentially we had a room with no windows or balconies because men were working. That was very disappointing. Also the kitchen closed at 6:00om. Early than advertised.

We did enjoy our time at the Savoy and will consider it in the future. Super cute, boutique, retro atmosphere and convenient to south beach entertainment BUT also tucked away that you don’t have to “deal” with south beach if desired. The staff was nice and accommodating. We checked in very early and were extended an invitation to use all pool and beach facilities. The property is under construction for renovations. We did know that prior to booking and we did not experience any inconveniences due to construction. Yes our patio was blocked with a screen and some construction items but it was entirely too hot to sit out there. Room was still light and spacious. The property will be fantastic when it is complete.

Enjoyed every moment of staying here. Denzel (front), Camila (pool), and Gustavo (beach) were some of the most amazing hosts and welcomed us so kindly. The room was bright and spacious, the pool luscious, and the easy beach access was the cherry on top. It was all so relaxing, and farther from the party hustle and bustle of typical SB. It even smelt so serene. Just one suggestion: I wish there was a floor length mirror. The only mirror we had was in the bathroom and it would have been nice to have something additionally inside of the room. Otherwise, my mom and I had an amazing time and we look forward to coming back again hopefully soon! We’ve already recommended the hotel to our family and friends!

As of April 2024, this property is undergoing an extensive and very noisy renovation -- of which the hotel gave no warning. The pool area and the beach club are very good (with the exception of gross bathrooms at the pool), and the lobby is pretty, and the bedding is comfotable. Otherwise, however, in addition to the jack-hammer noise outside my window, my room was disappointing. There was no desk. The towel service was random. The hotel provided conditioner but not shampoo, and was very sparing in the provision of soap. And I had to ask for a roll-away bed twice in order to get it. The front desk attendants were nice but ineffective when dealing with these issues.
