Elevator was out of service and hard to get from the parking garage to the lobby, once i figured it out and made it inside the guy at the front desk was rude with a smart ass mouth instead actually being helpful about the elevator situation.

Great location Pool area abandon unorganized and dirty elevator buttons need attention door key pads need attention, staff needs a reality check not respectful are friendly no smiles, no yes sir’s the greeting is first impression. Door man could have assisted but didn’t just look at you. But the price is a great value and driver so expectations aren’t that high

Breakfast wasn’t as advertised by pictures but it was good. Ordered the breakfast burrito! If you just need a place to rest your head then book here but don’t expect any basic hotel accommodations. Stayed here for 3 nights totaling $300 and would not stay again. I requested a fridge each day of my stay for medical needs and there was no urgency to help locate one. Room balcony was covered in cigarette butts (I don’t smoke), pool area, and elevators were dirty and extremely wore down. Staff was not welcoming in any way and I was scolded by an employee for requesting a late check which I had to pay for. I received a notification from American Airlines that my flight was delayed so I used the app to select a 2pm check out. I received a call shortly after stating that I need to make these type of request in advance and that next time it wouldn’t be allowed. Crazy response to get on an accommodation that cost me extra money you’d think this is something free. I also requested room service and only received it once. I was asked on the phone when I would like the service and I told them as soon as possible since it had already went two days without it and to my surprise still no urgency. Will definitely be keeping my money with Marriott brands!

The hotel is right across from the Bush convention center, which is the main reason we booked this particular hotel. On Saturdays before noon there is a farmers market two blocks north of the hotel. The room was an accessible room so the shower was wheelchair accessible, but a little messy. The toilet appeared to leak, but might have just been due to the inadequate drainage in the bathroom. The room did not have a microfridge or microwave oven, though we did not bother to ask and didn't pick the hotel based with that requirement. Breakfast was $15 for a buffet. The ice machine on our floor was broken, but was available on an adjacent floor. There are vending machines for water, though the tap was okay. One elevator was out of commission, we didn't ask why. The stairs leaving the lobby aren't well marked. There was an underground garage that had enough spaces while we visited, but could fill up. There appeared to be payed parking in a lot behind the hotel.

Ive been there before and stayed at the north end, it was great. This time we stayed at the south end and it wasn't too bad or good. The room was clean and all, but the ac was noisy as hell. The hall rugs had some splits in it. There was a massive dumpster by the biulding, so I think I happen to catch the place getting ready to re vamp the south end. Any ways, I would stay there again, just recommend the north side. The pool area had some of the floor chipping away, and its an outside pool which my kids loved any ways.

Clean but severely dilapidated. The room seemed to be mid renovation and they elected to pause the makeover to sell the room. The walls had screw holes for possibly mounting a tv, but that was on a table in front of the wall with holes. Other walls had obviously removed artwork/fixtures but were not repaired nor holes filled. The bathroom walls had rust stains or burns (not sure which)and peeling wallpaper. The vanity and bathtub were very outdated and needed replacement. There was no mini fridge and closest working ice machine was 2 floors up. The oddest thing was the only available (1) usb port was on the alarm clock. The bed was comfortable and the sofa and carpet were new which is what contributed to the mid makeover feel.

It is an older hotel that needs some maintenance. It would be more attractive with a little bit of work and effort. The room needed a better cleaning. The bed squeaked very loudly with movement. Not all of the rooms have a fridge so you may have to request one. They will bring it right up if you do. The lighting is very dim, even with multiple lamps. There is not a ventilation fan in the bathroom, wish they would fix those. Showers make the bathroom really steamy. The bar is nice to relax and order some good food. The breakfast restaurant is great! We have stayed multiple times. Once again, the staff is great.

No microwave or refrigerator. My air conditioner had intermittent episodes of heat even after the maintenance came and said to give it 10 minutes at 10:25pm and I called twice before he came. Italy had him up there promptly . About two hours later I woke up sweating. I was exhausted that morning. I was only there one night. Thank goodness. I didn’t bother to speak to the front desk because I didn’t want to hear the apology.

Where do I start. This room was terrible. The pictures on Expedia regarding this hotel is a terrible misrepresentation of how it REALLY IS. The room was DIRTY, bugs, toilet paper wasn’t even on the roll but over the toilet and almost gone. Lights had no covers and exposed. The lock on the inside of the door had exposed wires. Cockroach in the toilet. The shower was TERRIBLE!!!!!! DONT STAY HERE. I HONESTLY SHOULD GET MY MONEY BACK. Plus the room reeked of cigarette and weed. How embarrassing it is for the hotel to be called a Whyndum. The ceo wouldn’t ever stay at this hotel.

The staff was helpful! It is apparent that the maintenance/cleanliness is lacking. The cabinets in the bathroom/room where chipped, broken, missing trim - which you could tell was once there. The bathroom was dirty - I cleaned it. I picked up items that were left behind by previous guesses in the room itself. I thought a Wyndam hotel downtown would be nice - well kept. It was not. I will not be returning.

I am writing to formally request a refund for a recent hotel stay booked through Hotels.com due to multiple unacceptable issues that significantly impacted our experience. Upon arrival, the first room we were assigned had a serious plumbing issue. When the toilet was flushed, sewage water backed up through the drain, making the room completely unusable. We were then moved to a second room, which unfortunately presented several additional concerns. In the second room, there was no TV remote available. While searching for it, we discovered a pair of someone else’s dirty underwear behind the TV stand, which was extremely disturbing and raises serious concerns about the cleanliness and sanitation of the room. Additionally, the shower head was broken, making it difficult to use. Beyond the room conditions, the elevators were not working, which was very inconvenient. The hotel also did not have basic over-the-counter medication such as Tylenol available, and the breakfast provided was of poor quality, accompanied by unsatisfactory service.

No microwave/refrigerator in room, lights flickered every time turned on, shower curtain rod barely hanging on for dear life, “2nd floor/bar-restaurant looked permanently closed” no terrace access. 1st floor restaurant had hours of its own, was never opened, bar hours opened much later then hours stated at desk. At one point this was the shining light of downtown Midland, probably 30 years ago- needs some TLC and security, the below ground parking garage had vehicle break-ins, fuel theft (via drill thru bottom of tank). It’s not too late, a renovation and rejuvenation could turn this place around.

Hotels.com showed strong ratings, and the room itself was clean and comfortable. However, the front desk experience was lacking—there was no greeting upon arrival or during check-in. We were told, “Breakfast is from 6:30–10:30,” which led us to assume it was complimentary, but that wasn’t clearly explained. A more welcoming and communicative approach would have made a big difference. The bathtub could use a non-slip surface or grip mat. I slipped twice while using it, which was concerning from a safety standpoint

The hotel experience was crap, no fridge or microwave although the website says there is open, says there are two bars both were closed, claims to have an on-site restaurant and of it was closed too, and to top ot off in the morning we came to pay for the breakfast buffet and off course that wasn't available either. The rooms were not that spacious even though described as such and the bathrooms although described as spacious were tiny and cramped. Besides us going out the entire hotel experience itself was toral crap and would not recommend this hotel to anyone as they do nothing but false advertise. I give it one star and that was only because I couldn't give it a negative rating but if I could I would rate it a -5. If uour bars ND restaurant are closed be honest and let people know so they don't waste their time and money on your shitty negative 5 star, crappiest hotel in Midland. Don't get a room here. They charge for amenities they do not have and their rooms are subpar at best. There are far better hotels in Midland to get room from and the LA Quinta is one of them. Big clean room, nice size bathrooms, and FREE breakfast in the morning.

Man at the front desk needs to be retrained or let go. No communication between shifts. Front desk has no problem solving skills what so ever. Loud street noise, car stereos, loud customers coming in, leaving their car stereo blaring and bumping while they check in, again the front desk should have told them to turn it off or leave. This wasn't a singular occurrence. To top it off several vehicles had fuel stolen off them in the parking garage. Was told there are no working cameras that cover any of the parking area's!!!! Only thing this place has going for it is the price. Service and crime are horrible.

The location The manager was supposed to call me. She never did. My room was supposed to be changed because I went from a suite down to a standard so the price was supposed to go down. I had no hot water low water pressure in the TV was messing up and there was a pair in my bed and it wasn’t mine and then the sheets were ripped

The location I’ve been coming here for a while and I’m just very disappointed in this trip I asked for Management to call me never received a call. I had downgraded from a suite to a standard. As far as I know price has not been adjusted. I had to take a very cold shower no hot water, water pressure very low and TV messing up not being able to watch very well.

There was no other internet they could provide despite having another WiFi network available. Would not recommend.

Location was convenient. Discounted price was good. Parking was poor. No parking above ground. When you could find a space in underground, you had to go to down some stairs. No ramp. Only one working elevator. Then from south tower to north tower to elevator to room. View was of the midland correctional facility. Train noise was noticeable but not really disturbing. Ice machine broke

We arrived and saw a sign that stated a valet attendant was available 6am - 11pm. Turns out, the valet was out that day. We then asked for two key cards and only received one. The garage for hotel parking is not connected to the building. The access way is through a less than ideal alley. Patrons must walk down the alley to get from the garage to the hotel. The one key card we were given was not properly activated, so we had to go back down to the front desk to get it activated. The staff wasn’t apologetic whatsoever. We only stayed for one night but it was a slightly less than average experience. Downtown Midland is safe feeling and I like the location but the hotel itself leaves a few components to be desired.

After the third time, I was changed to another side of the building, on a different floor, and had to carry all my luggage from one place to another. The breakfast was NOT FREE, but the cook made an amazing omelette and the fresh fruit was delicious. It was the best part of the stay. The rooms are old and run down with sun rotted curtains and drapes. This place has no parking and you must park next door in upper levels 4 and 5 to park in the parking garage then take the elevator down and to a sketchy ally and walk around to the entrance. Great restaurants within walking distance though. I used Expedia and got a great discount. Everywhere else was much more expensive. It served its purpose for one night. The beds and pillows are horrible as most motels but I bring my own pillows and that makes it acceptable. The tv didn’t get hardly and channels to come in and that was awful especially with kids.

This is my 2nd time here. I decided to give it another try even though I had a bad experience the first time. This time around I got a jr suite. The suite is very spacious but, outdated. The curtains are old and dirty looking. The wallpaper is peeling off in some areas. The furniture is dirty looking. I didn’t notice it until I sat down. The duvet is covered by 2 flat sheets and is also very dingy looking. The pillows had stains on them. I saw the stains bc I took the sheets off the bed and pillows to help out housekeeping. The marble looking floor is VERY dirty but, you won’t know it unless you are wearing white socks. I felt the floor sticky near the bathroom so I wiped it with a wet wipe and that sucker was BLACK! Also, when you enter the suite, you are greeted with a musty smell of corn chips. I also couldn’t get a working channel on the tv to watch. I finally found one and had no choice but to watch whatever they were showing. The hotel is located in downtown right across from Centennial Park. There's also restaurants close by if you get hungry.

The front desk staff was sweet. I liked we could park underground and it took it right to the room. We got a great deal and for the most part it was a good value. The hotel looks like it could use some updating. It seems like the last update didn’t get completed. But it is overdue for some painting touchups and a deep cleaning.

One: The bed was comfortable BUT, the duvet was old and had old, dry blood on it. That duvet should be thrown out. Two: the tub has a slow drain. So when you shower it starts to fill. So you’re standing in dirty water. Three: Hotel also has covered parking but, don’t like that you have to go into the alley to go into the back part of the hotel.

There was no fridge in the room which was disappointing. No live music in the bar. The breakfast was horrible cold and why? We were the only ones there what happened to the morning buffet? The hrs for the restaurant and bar are very inconvenient for the people staying there . Very friendly people though clean rooms (not cold enough for me 69? I like my room 60 at night) the temp was set to 68-69 and couldn’t change it. But back to the restaurant it was disappointing not good DO NOT EAT THERE PRICES TOO HIGH FOR COLD FOOD.

this hotel is in a key location next-door to the convention center. But it’s gotta be the only hotel left in America that still uses fluorescent lighting in the rooms. staff also is what one might call disinterested? I did not get any maid service and I didn’t even get an apology for that. The bartender was sort of bored serving. The only bright spot was the lady behind the Starbucks counter in the morning. This hotel needs a serious update not just in physical convenience to guests,( especially the mattress), but in a refresh of its staff to have some enthusiasm for working at it.

The venue was across the street from a city park who was having a loud concert. Not the hotel’s fault, so I asked to move my room to the back side of the building so it wouldn’t be so loud for us while we’re here for work. We moved our belongings into the room in the morning, but when we got back in the afternoon our lock on our door was broken and we had to sit in the hallway on the floor for 30 minutes while we waited for their repair guy to let us into our room. The front desk offered us a free breakfast in the restaurant downstairs to compensate for the inconvenience, but even then when we went down there this morning they had one waitress running the whole Sunday brunch by herself. The free breakfast was horrific. We finally just got up and walked out after serving ourselves coffee and waiting over an hour for eggs because we had work to do. We still left the waitress a few dollars as a tip because it looked like she was overworked and understaffed. So we wound up paying money for a nonexistent free breakfast that should have been complimentary to begin with. We were really excited to stay here at first.

My week long stay went quite well. The room and beds were clean. You can see a few outdated items and poor paint jobs here and there but they did not effect my stay. We asked for extra towels at the front desk and was told only housekeeping had access to them and towels were never brought to the room. Also, the pool had broken, unsafe objects in the pool. It looked like the pool structure was deteriorating or a fixture haf broken off. The area is great, but limited parking.

All staff were very friendly and hotel is a great location but this has to be one of the bottom 10 I have stayed at. Gave 2 stars because it is supposed to be a '4' star hotel but the price gives it away. I knew I was taking my chance. No additional locks on door (partially missing), no hot water for 2 days, coffee shop was not open, no service in room the one day I wanted it then you just have rusted hinges, popcorn ceilings, pieces missing on wood thats painted over. Probably a very nice place in its day.

I was looking forward to sitting by the pool and relaxing, but there were no cushions available for the 2 hot metal lounge chairs. No pool towels available either. The pool water was clean but the pool was chipping and cracking. The room was clean and bed/pillows were comfy. There is not a microwave or fridge available in the room. The ice machine was out of order on 3 floors but finally located one on the pool level. No complimentary breakfast but coffee was available to go. The bathroom was small and the door was in the way of the toilet. Very awkward. Overall Ok stay but will not be back.
