It was where I needed to be close Property needs updating pretty badly
- 4/5
I sought out this hotel after staying in it 2 years ago. It's a no frills place, but conveniently located! It worked perfectly for us. Had everything we needed!
- 4/5
The two queen room suite was spacious and clean. The mini fridge wasn’t too cold. The motel is located within walking distance of a couple restaurants and a Dutch bros.

The location of our room was in a good spot, nobody by us at all. We had issues with the tv throughout the night with freezing and it took a little bit to get the air going on during the night. Would be helpful to have a few more towels in the bathroom too.

It was in a good location. The room especially the bathroom was a bit dirty. There were stains on love seat and quilt. The toilet on the outside of it was dirty looked like feces on the side of it. The bath tub was missing plug. Behind bathroom door on wall was something smeared. There were drunk people in parking lot being loud at 1am. The staff relocated me to a front room as I believed the back of building would have issues with noise and I came to rest. It was nice of them to switch rooms at no extra cost but the noise issues probably prevents me from renting again.

The first red flag should have been opening the room and seeing a mattress propped up against the window like it was part of the furniture package. Nothing says “welcome” quite like wondering whether the room doubles as a storage unit. The only reason we stayed was because we had prepaid. Considering the rates being charged, one would reasonably expect a property maintained at something above “barely operational.” It honestly feels like they know they are the only practical option in town and price accordingly, because the alternative in Independence was dramatically more expensive. On the morning of departure, while packing up, we noticed a dark line on the ceiling getting darker and more pronounced by the minute. We can only assume there was a leak from the room above. By that point we were just glad there wasn’t a third night booked. I’ve stayed in Motel 6 locations that felt like a four-star resort compared to this place.

Rooms every clean

Clean room for an economy inn. Easy parking and nice staff.
- 4/5
The staff was friendly and helpful.
- 4/5
This place was very clean and well kept. Better than other stays twice the money.
- 2/5
Had the room for 3 nights 1st night was fine. Got in 2nd night had to go get my fresh towels at the front desk 3rd night same way. Talked to girl at front desk she said the maid cleaned the room according to her records I told the girl that I wouldn't be at her office desk if it was.
- 2/5
It was close to my parents place The hotel is run down. Of the five days I stayed the staff came into the room to change towels but never cleaned or made up the bed which was strange. The mattress had burn holes in it and the sheets were old and frayed. The bathroom ceiling was very marked and nothing seemed very clean.
- 2/5
It was cheap.. The stay was fine
- 3/5
Everything was great except the bed. It was hard and uncomfortable

Don’t make reservations through anyone call them !!

Quiet, comfortable, good value for the price.

Quiet, comfortable, good value for the price.
- 3/5
The staff is very friendly and so nice. Also very helpful. We had trouble with the toilet flush at first. The staff proposed their last available room but it was in a very bad state (wallpaper peeling, strong smell of cigarette smoke) so we decided to stay in the other room and sorted out the problem. The room was very clean and the inn is conveniently situated next to a few fast food accomodations.
- 4/5
Bed and pillows not comfortable
- 2/5
The beds were highly uncomfortable and everything was just old, outdated and worn. Not enough lights or outlets.
- 4/5
The room was spotless, the staff was very friendly and accommodating, the location was convenient and the rates were reasonable. All in all a good stay for a modestly priced hotel.
- 5/5
Staff was very courteous. Bed was comfortable. Room was clean.
- 5/5
All very well thank
- 1/5
Parking was fine. Room was old, and dirty. Hair on the bathroom counter, light switches were black, door knob was clearly dirty. TV was tiny, Heater was broken, window shade was broken. Tub faucet was dripping all night. Bed was hard, pillows were flat. Horrible, even for a low budget hotel.
- 4/5
Ricky (sp) at the front desk was very helpful. TV, extra towels, late night key reprogram. Always friendly and helpful.
- 4/5
Cozy. I’m glad there was a couch. It was chilly for me so I had to borrow a blanket from my sister but the heater worked, I just couldn’t leave it on because my SO would get uncomfortable. Conveniently next to a good restaurant. Easy to get to our room. The cleaning service came in everyday but only gave fresh towels and coffee, which was fine. I could have used some more makeup wipes but it wasn’t inconvenient. Having more pillows would have been beneficial.
- 2/5
Rooms have strong musty odor, bathroom was COVERED in hair (that was not mine), 2 pillows, 2 towels in double room, cleaning staff tried to get into our room first thing in AM 3 hours before checkout time. Would suggest looking at independence- new hotel there (2miles away)
- 4/5
It was nice. smelled good. Clean.
- 5/5
The room was clean and the staff was awesome!!!
- 5/5
Parking close by, room clean
- 2/5
Couch had giant (urine possibly) stain. Top sheet of bedding looked loke cigarette burn holes on it. Pulled blankets down amd looked like pet hair all over.
- 3/5
At least the bed was clean and the drain was fixed so the tub didn't back up this time
- 3/5
It serves its purpose of a place to lay our heads, that is it though. Would not necessarily recommend. Plus, having to pay at the hotel and not through Expedia, I didn't get to use my KeyCash so I had to pay the full price for this mediocre stay.
- 5/5
Yes
- 5/5
The room was spotless! This is an older somewhat updated room - but it was perfect for a quick night's sleep before working a cross country meet. The bed was comfortable, the gentleman working the counter was friendly & efficient. The whole stay was exactly what we were looking for.
- 4/5
Was clean worked good for our stay
- 2/5
Where are fine that this is a no frills motel? Two basics a place to stay in a warm shower. The bathtub doesn't drain and the water fills in up at the tub before you can even get a 2-minute shower completed. When the bathtub didn't drain had to get out and let the water slowly drain and when it did all the hair from other guests came up through the drain and there was long black hairs all over the tub. It was very gross. Was okay with the hotel being pretty dingy and basic but unacceptable that the shower was not even an option. Way to hear back from the manager if we will be compensated.
- 5/5
Very courteous! Clean rooms and spacious
- 3/5
It was a good place to stay for the price. Staff was friendly. I would go back.
- 5/5
Extremely friendly and honest staff. I left my kindle and they held it for me.
- 5/5
Awesome
- 1/5
AC broken. Dogs barking from in other rooms. Don’t stay here unless you have to.
- 5/5
Stay here often. Great people and location
- 2/5
The front desk person was rude, the room was outdated with dirty carpeting, no soap in dispenser, shower dispensers weren't attached to wall and fell down. Not a pleasant stay.
- 3/5
.
- 3/5
Overall the hotel is clean and affordable. A few negatives outlets are old and worn hard to locate any in room that phone charger wouldn’t fall out. With a few minor upgrades this place would be great!
- 3/5
It was just an average room. Nothing special but nothing bad either
- 1/5
Dirty and dated. No bottom sheet on the beds two top sheets were used.
- 5/5
GREAT shower pressure, king size bed was comfy (no fitted sheet, a flat one tucked in sufficed) CLEAN mini fridge; price wasn't outrageous, decent black out shades, room smalled nice upon entry.
- 3/5
Ok property, clean and spacious room, convenient location. Older hotel and room with no sign of updating. Stayed multiple nights, apparently you have to ask to have your room serviced.
- 1/5
I understand that it’s a budget friendly option and I def was not expecting a above and beyond stay because of that, but I’ve stayed in $50 rooms in/around Tacoma that have been much more presentable. All in all, if you have another option, I’d take it
- 4/5
Stay was good, but there is an odor that should be addressed. Been that way the last 2 times we’ve stayed there.
- 5/5
Small motel, nothing fancy, but definitely accommodated my needs. Clean. Friendly staff. Located near shopping, restaurants, etc.
- 5/5
A lot cleaner then people think actually nice and quiet and friendly staff
- 4/5
Nice restaurant next door.
- 4/5
The bed was just okay; lumpy and obviously well used. The room was clean and sparse. The coffee maker was from a different century and had so many instructions that it was easier to get coffee across the street. Parking was quite ample and there wasn’t much street noise. However, when the resident of the room next to me took a shower at 6:15 am, it sounded like a freight train was running through my room. I certainly didn’t need an alarm clock after that.
- 5/5
Very nice, very clean.
- 5/5
Clean and nice staff
- 5/5
Wow they have updated a lot. The rooms are fantastic and the front staff are great 👍
- 5/5
Great location. Easy access from street. Close to shopping and restaurants.
- 3/5
Slightly outdated decor but in great condition.
- 3/5
Perfect location but so old and dingy feeling. Needs updating big time
- 4/5
The place is ok, rooms are spacious with clean and comfortable beds. Is an "old style" motel-type building and it shows its age, but is well maintained. Location is great. Cons: Small lobby and no breakfast area.
- 5/5
I was traveling alone and felt very safe. They were very nice and accommodating at check in. I was allowed to check into my room very early. It’s not fancy but it was as clean safe, comfortable and reasonably priced.
- 2/5
Office was not open on a Saturday morning to drop keys off.
- 5/5
I stayed at College Inn Monmouth from June 1 to June 3 for a scheduled meeting and found the hotel to be a great choice for business travel. The property was clean, quiet, and conveniently located, allowing for easy access to key areas in Monmouth. Staff were professional and efficient, making the entire stay smooth and comfortable. I would recommend this hotel to other business travelers visiting the area and plan to return in the future.
- 5/5
The hotel is older but well kept. I would love to see them add USB plugs to charge phones. I appreciated that they had a fridge and a microwave in the room. The area is perfect with a couple of restaurants within walking distance. I would definitely stay here if I come to the area again.
- 4/5
Property is conveniently located within walking distance of several restaurants, as well as downtown Monmouth. Staff member at reception was helpful and friendly. Only negative was the loud noise of traffic on the main road at 6:00am and someone close by using a gas-powered leaf blower at 6:10am. Our room was located closest to the main road.
- 5/5
I have stayed here in the past and I was really pleased with how much they have improved the rooms.
- 4/5
Room 103 was great. Quiet and clean.
- 5/5
Great Customer Service
- 3/5
Comfy bed, clean room and check in area. Would love it if there were more plug in in rooms with at least updated USB plug ins. We would definitely stay there again!
- 4/5
The room could have used painting in the bathroom and the refrigerator was very warm inside with no visible controls. Otherwise, a very clean room. I would stay again.
- 3/5
Perfect location for our one-night stay. The room was clean and had good TV with lots of viewing choices. The only thing negative were the two beds, which were hard and not comfortable. There's a good breakfast cafe next door.
- 3/5
Carpet had aroma of its own.
- 4/5
I had requested a ground floor as my husband uses a walker and cane and stairs are very difficult for him. We originally were assigned a second floor room but the manager was able to get it changed after I explained the situation. Otherwise it was good.
- 2/5
Old and run down. Only a thin flat sheet on the mattress. Front desk needed to come fix the tv remote.
- 3/5
Pretty dark in the room, tried to open the 2nd layer of the window blinds but the white one to let light in was stained badly. Room looked clean but didn’t quite feel like it… AC/Heater worked decently though so that was nice.
- 5/5
This is a simple older motel that is clean and well-cared for. The staff at the front desk is great. Clean room, well maintained, good bed, good hot water pressure in the morning, good A/C, a desk and a good wifi connection. Close to main road in this quiet little town near Salem, with a restaurant next door. And, when I left something valuable in my room by accident when I left, the front desk manager - Sonu - called me and made sure my belongings got returned to me. (Thank You!). This motel is a good one!
- 5/5
Clean!!!!! Comfy beds and large room. Would've liked another towel tho!!!! Overall a great place to stay...
- 3/5
The man who checked us in was very nice and helpful. The room was old and outdated. The blankets were thin, it was warm out so it was ok. Overall you could tell it was clean.
- 4/5
For the price it was just fine. The desk clerk did not know how to shut off the message light.
- 2/5
The property needs a refresh
- 3/5
It was not clean inside
- 5/5
TV options were excellent and everything worked as expected. Great value!
- 1/5
Does the blanket double as a DROP CLOTH?! At least the bed was firm, but I was afraid to look under it. Coffee machine didn't work! No body soap left in the dispenser. Hotel staff wasn't in sight upon arrival, nor upon departure. Very difficult to understand when we finally did communicate, and rather abrupt. Just a disgusting place. If my wife had been with me, we wouldn't have stayed.
- 3/5
Had to wait almost an hr to check in bc no one was in office and then check out no one was in there either
- 5/5
The property is divided so had to drive over to the 1/2 of the rooms.
- 2/5
Stained blankets and it smelled
- 5/5
Thank you for the attention. Great staff!
- 4/5
Alex is always very nice at the front desk and welcomes my family. He remembers us from past visits. This is a great place to lay your head if you have a student at WOU. It is close to WOU. I will ask for extra blankets next time we stay because this day there were only sheets on the bed. Last time we stayed I could have swore that were heavier blankets on the bed. It is right across the street from a restaurant in Dutch Brothers. It's in a good location. It is definitely in need of updating but does the job when you need a place to sleep. They keep it clean.
- 2/5
Just a crappy old hotel with antiquated tvs
- 2/5
Over priced for the condition of the property.
- 4/5
Great location next to Grain Station Brew Works for awesome food and brews
- 5/5
older well maintained facility. nothing fancy but clean. Great value.
- 4/5
Nice stay!
- 1/5
The room I reserved was NOT the Queen deluxe. It was disgusting. No sofa. Two very flat pillows, no blanket, two bath towels. Stains all over the bed and floor. Smoke detector hanging from the ceiling. Broken outlet cover.
- 4/5
Great little get away when all you need is a bed to lay your head.
- 5/5
Quick and easy
- 3/5
bathrooms could be cleaner.
- 4/5
Electrical outlets were limited & cords didn’t stay plugged in well. Need to be updated.
- 5/5
Responsive staff
- 3/5
Good low price and kinda old building but still good & clean enough .
- 2/5
The room I booked was not the same I was giving and there was no blankets on bed or anywhere in the room.
- 2/5
office staff not available at all when they say they are supposed to be there. Very hard beds, shower head was shoulder length. Booked for 8 days stayed only the first night
- 3/5
Hot water didn't work. Didn't have time to report it cause it's almost check out time before I noticed.
- 5/5
Friendly staff and just what I was looking for that weekend
- 3/5
The room had some electrical issues, Lights only came on if you turned on the bathroom light, carpet had a bad stain but for the price you get what you pay for.
- 2/5
Owners not interested in housekeeping cleaning, repair/replacing, or honesty to to 3rd party travel arrangers. The "nitty-gritty" it feels/interior looks like, rent-by-the-hour without a dream of being profitable. Ne
- 4/5
The bed was slightly uncomfortable, like a cheap, stiff spring mattress with barely enough padding. Still, I slept well enough and would stay there again.
- 5/5
As always, this is the only place I stay when my schedule puts me in that area. The front desk, is absolutely amazing. Super friendly efficient and constantly willing to work with you when something unexpected happens. Pay no mind to the people who complain about rooms being dirty or things being than advertised. I’ve stayed here multiple times over the last year, and haven’t had even a single issue.
- 1/5
The room was filthy, had flies and even a hole in the ceiling taped with duck tape and cardboard. Some liquid all over the walls, doors and floor. Worse hotel I have ever seen.
- 5/5
The front office is amazing. Extremely accommodating and unbelievably friendly. Yes, the hotel is a little older, the rooms occasionally have microwaves that don’t work. But overall? This is a very good place to stay.
- 3/5
The room was very average. Wall paper peeling etc. There was no soap for showers which was a bit irritating.
- 5/5
Smoking area should be moved further away from building.
- 5/5
This property is well kept and clean.
- 3/5
You get what you pay for
- 2/5
We paid for two nights, but only stayed one. The walls of the room have stains dripping down them. Back of door is covered in a drippy substance that was dried. Stain on carpet. Bed was comfortable and appeared clean. Towels were sub par- but did the job. Shower water pressure was amazing.
- 4/5
Loved it
- 5/5
I stay here twice a year and always get a clean room and a good bed. It isn't the Hilton, obviously, but in the $100 price range these days it is a winner.
- 4/5
We've stayed here a number of times, we have friends and family in the area. It is really clear that the inn needs some serious TLC. There are burned holes in the ceiling, stained carpets, splatter of some mystery liquid on the back of the door, clogged/cracked sinks and tubs and obvious aging of the facilities. It's in a prime location, just wish they'd spend some money on refurbishing, or that some competition would move in to give us an option (other than the beautiful but $$$$ Independence).
- 1/5
No not water for shower. Turned faucet on for several minutes and lukewarm at best. No internet service. What hotel skips that?
- 3/5
No frills hotel. Room was clean but close to major road 99W with noise from cars passing. Not too many late at night but picks up in the morning. Reasonably priced though if you want to be in Monmouth. I will stay here again next time I'm in town versus Dallas, Independence, or Salem.
- 5/5
Perfect for our needs.
- 3/5
They need to fix the exhaust fan in the bathroom way to noisy.
- 5/5
Staff was very nice. Helped me to connect to WiFi
- 5/5
I stay here every time I visit family in the area. I’ve always had a very positive experience. The beds are really very comfortable (which is really my #1 concern) and the rooms are always neat and clean.
- 1/5
Towels were not clean stains on every towel. Comforter was stained up. I’m
- 1/5
No soap in the room at all. Very loud road noise. Thin walls. Will never stay here again.
- 2/5
No hot water, room to noisey from vehicle traffic
- 2/5
Very old property with tired bed linen and old towels. Old couch with marks. Bathroom reasonably clean.
- 2/5
The room was not clean. The walls and door had something sprayed all over from a previous customer. They need to thoroughly clean every surface before renting room 111 again.
- 4/5
Make sure you check in by 10 PM, otherwise you may be out of luck. Old facility, but fairly well cared for.
- 3/5
Comfortable for the price.
- 2/5
Shower & water pressure good but no matter how much water I ran in the sink (what a waste!!!) I could only get luke warm water there. Not pleasant. Mirror very dirty .
- 5/5
The room was recently renovated. A nice job. I heard that they are waiting for the contractor to rework outside around the hotel. Overall a pleasant stay.
- 4/5
Nothing fancy, but not expensive
- 4/5
New towels and coffee daily.
- 3/5
Great place but the guy in the office acts like doing his job is a inconvenience and is kinda rude.
- 5/5
It was OK, just nothing special. The bed was hard for me.
- 1/5
If you like smell of dog piss this is the hotel you want to stay in. Don't get fooled by the photos posted while booking, probably those photos were clicked when hotel was newly opened but in current state carpet on floor have all kind of stains maybe from dog pop/piss, Rooms smells terrible especially in summer, bathroom are very small unclean and curtains smell like piss. We mentioned same to property manager and instead of moving us to better room he mentioned that "I can move to another room but that will cost you more". Will not recommend to anyone especially when it is 100$ plus per night. I would not even pay 30$ for such dirty rooms.
- 5/5
I appreciated the comfortable bed for sure. I would stay here again.
- 4/5
Great little town
