Baymont by Wyndham Morton

I would definitely stay there again. We stayed there one night in transit home from vacation. Good location, near interstate and a number of fast food mostly restaurants. Though the hotel appears a bit dated in general, the facility as a whole and our room was clean, with tv, fridge, and microwave all relatively new, but no coffee maker in the room. Beds were very comfortable and air conditioner worked perfectly. They had typical free breakfast options with a modest seating area, but would likely walk to Crackle Barrel next door next time :). I liked the slick coffee machine where you could select coffee, cappuccino, or other types of coffees. Didn’t use the pool or workout room, but though relatively small, both looked well kept. One potential negative was no elevator. We were informed at check in that there wasn’t an elevator, and were asked if a second floor room was acceptable, which we replied yes, but I can see that potentially being a problem if someone required a particular type of room and it was only available on the 2nd floor. The bathroom was smaller than normal, but was clean and well vented and both the tub/shower and toilet were perfectly functional.

They have a tendency to not make our beds , without us commenting about the situation. We stay there for 4 days and 3 nights.

The room and hotel was very clean. The hot tub was very nice. The breakfast was good. You could walk to great places to eat.

Great little place. Owners work hard to make nice. It is a bit older of a facility, so it has some older feel. The worse part for me was the bathroom in the room. The toilet was very small and felt like a child’s toilet. Low and small, this made it difficult for a taller (and wider) dude to use.

The front desk staff are excellent, crazy but their coffee machine with all its choices is awesome.

Best in Morton for the price

Worst breakfast ever. Sandpaper would of been better then their towels. Mattress was not the best. Springs kept poking me & too soft. The overall building was nice. The room was clean. The staff were helpful.

The room was clean; the bed was comfortable; breakfast was hot (though the toaster took too long to toast my bagel); it was quiet; the staff was friendly, courteous and helpful.

On the bathroom door, there was an unidentifiable dried yellow substance that looked like it had dripped down the length of the door. Do not stay here. I promise you will regret it.

If you have bad knees and severe arthritis like me THERE’S NO ELEVATOR DO NOT STAY HERE unless you can carry your luggage up flights of stairs. For me it was a struggle that left me in tears. The room was OK, room lighting is dark, a bit of mold, a dingy bathtub, broken thermostat button, but decently clean. The desk guy was nice, but casually told me after check-in there’s no elevator. No offer of help. I can’t comment on the breakfast the stairs hindered that trip.

overall, it was clean and for the most part quiet. A suggestion would be to keep those people with active children on the 1st floor to avoid the loud banging from little feat coming from the 2nd floor rooms.

When I called to verify that they did take pets I was told the fee was $15 a night. When I checked in I was told the fee is $30 a night which is what I paid. The pool was closed and had a sign on the door from the health department dated November of 2025. When the weekend came the pool was open. I'm assuming that they didn't want to clean the pool throughout the week for little traffic. I was a little disappointed in that. Being able to travel with my pet was important to me as I could not leave him at home. They have an area at the back of the hotel that has an area for your dogs to go out along with clean up bags. I did call a few of the other hotels right in that area and they did not accept pets It's close to other restaurants, a Walmart and gas stations It's a short drive to Pekin or Peoria The pool was closed with a notice from the health department from November of 2025 If a pool is advertised then a pool should be open

Our room was a King Suite with the jetted tub. It was the entire reason that we chose this hotel. My partner came to work, and I came for leisure. We didn't use the pool during this stay, but it looked awesome. Customer service was great, all the staff were friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was good. There were waffles, eggs, sausage and hashbrowns. As well as cereals, bagels, yogurt, toast and apples. They also had a coffee machine that had at least 10 different coffee flavors and hot cocoa. I don't drink coffee, so having the hot cocoa option was awesome. Everything was clean. The jetted tub was so worth it. More Pillows, especially in the king suite. I was surprised that the king suite didn't have a recliner or other chair to sit in. Watching TV on the bed with only a few pillows was not ideal. There was a Walmart within walking distance that I was able to buy a couple of pillows though. In Fact the restaurants and gas station were also within walking distance of the hotel. More variety with the yogurt and more toppings for the bagels. Also bacon would be awesome for those of us who don't eat sausage. There should be more attraction info in the front. As someone traveling and spending a great deal of time alone, I would like to know what areas of interest there are for site seeing.

The pool was closed for maintenance and as in this photo and the ads and in the sign by the road they have an "indoor pool". Guess what - its empty. Getting fixed. The staff says " yes we have a pool" , when in fact - functionally for the experience of anyone booking there, they dont.

Never received my $50 deposit back and I know the room was left in great condition.

The tub shower was very slick and needed a rubber mat in it to make it more safe. I almost slipped and fell a couple of times.

Hotel was older, and needed some updating, but room was clean. Water presssure was very bad when showering and bathroom fan was very loud. Staff was friendly, check-in was smooth. Breakfast was limited, not many hot food choices.

They didn't clean my room at all. They just restocked the towels and were done. They didn't change the bed sheet, and when I made a complaint, the person at reception told me that they were fully booked for the day, so they didn't change the bed sheet.

I arrived and was told after check-in that the hotel was full and they could not accommodate adjoining rooms. Ok, no big deal. I was skeptical because the lobby smelled very bad and was dirty. We went to the first room and someone had recently smoked marijuana in the room. It was strong and fresh like a skunk. We walked to the second room and I was hoping my girls would be ok there and I’d tolerate the weed room…. We open the door to a misty smell and I pulled down the comforter and there was dried blood stains on the sheets. I spoke to the same front desk guy and he said he was booked and did not have a cleaning person or clean sheets. At first he argued that it wasn’t blood and I asked him if he would sleep there. He said “No.” No clean sheets, no extra rooms. We left and stayed downtown Peoria at a nicer hotel. We were stuck and they left us hanging BAD after midnight. *Update it took over one month for Expedia and this hotel to refund my money. Never again. BEYOND HORRIBLE.

This was a very nice stay for a week while visiting family. Everything was clean, the front lobby and breakfast area, the rooms and the swimming pool. The pool was super refreshing with the hot humid days. Lots of restaurants, shopping, and gas stations close by too. Breakfasts were good, choice of cereals, eggs, sausage, potatoes, waffles, toast, bagles, yogurt, fruit, and most importantly, coffee. Will definitely stay here again when visiting the family vlose by.

It's close to the Morton Pumpkin Festival which we came for. It's close to the interstate and other businesses too. The pool and workout room are both small but love that they have both. Pool more for kids than lap swimming. The ac didn't really cool the room much. But it was also in the 90s and I'm a woman in my 40s. They don't have an elevator. The toilets are low for tall or older people with knee trouble. Lots of choices for breakfast. Beds were comfortable and the place was clean.

Convenient for everything

Very clean, safe, quiet. Stayed only one night. Road trip.

Basic hotel, my biggest issue was as soon as you walked in the room there was a large white spot on our drak gray walls. Drywall repair. It looked tacky and really made we wonder ehat happened in that room. Other then that there was nothing special.

TV big, nice channel options. Room clean. Staff friendly. Breakfast starts at 6am, not 7am like some places I've stayed.

The shower had low pressure when it came to taking a shower other than that everything was good.

Everytime someone opened or shut their door it sounded like they were coming in ours. The bed smelled funny. The room had a smell to it. The bathroom sink right next to the door is not the ideal location.

The place is super comfortable, clean, accessible parking, very comfortable beds and a very spacious place.

Our room was very clean and quite. The staff was courteous and helpfu.

It is a quiet place to stay. No elevator. All breakfast was gone by 8 am.

This hotel is a good place to stay if it’s a quick turnover. It’s old and some places are dirty and some quick fixes that were done poorly and quickly.

We didn’t even stay. The smell was so awful in the whole hotel and the beds were so lumpy and springy we left. There was an overwhelming smell of mold as soon as you walked in. We lost our money and went somewhere else.

Average at best

The hotel was ok. It could use some deep cleaning. You can tell it used to be smoker friendly by the amount of tar running down the bathroom and closet doors. Our first room, the toilet stopped working after a single use, so we were moved. The gazebo seating area for guests has been damaged, missing half the roof. Some type of flooring tiles stacked against one side of the gazebo. Another guest there stated the gazebo was damaged 6 months ago during his last stay as well.

Staff was helpful and friendly, had a problem getting TV to work, they came to the room and solved it quickly.

Wasn't much of a breakfast. No drinking cups in the room. The vanity sink drain was very slow to drain. Used our own soap because the room had none. king bed was nice but the pillows were flat. The heat and cool unit worked great.

Wish they had an elevator

However, the sink was separate from the bathroom and in view of the sleeping area, so that anyone using it risked disturbing others who were sleeping. For that reason I would recommend this facility for single travelers or groups who are on essentially the same sleep schedule.

Very helping staff ,and knowing when to be helpful and when to let you be alone is their strength. Cleaning and urgency is correct as well. Will be staying there at least twice a year. Recommend it absolutely. Im a hard one to please ...the place is perfect for what it is.

Smelly room, super noisy ac we had to stop it because we couldn’t sleep. Then it became hot and we had to turn it back on but couldn’t sleep for the noise. Bathroom has only the light with the noisy aspirator not convenient for the night.

Clean and quiet

The room was a good size. I booked 2 queen suite to make sure the space was plenty. Had some buckets out back by the door and the room was to warm. The air worked fine it was set at 61and still very warm. I belive it was due to location if the ac away from bed with a plastic gaurd on. I went and baught a fan to b comfertable sleeping other wuse we had a great stay

The property was clean and felt safe. Personal were friendly and helpful. The only negative aspect was that the mattress was too soft for a king size guy and his wife.

When I visit Morton, I only stay here. The staff is wonderful and they make you feel like family. The hotel is very safe, clean, quiet and convenient.

Please with our hotel room it was clean and comfortable. Would have appreciated a coffee maker in rome. Had to go downstairs to the lobby for coffee in the morning and breakfast they also do not have an elevator. Had good breakfast options a mixture of hot and cold items that were overall healthy and nature but lacked any fresh fruit. The pool was smaller in size but very clean and well-kept.
