Absolutely wonderful staff and property!

Musty smell throughout the hotel. Bathroom shower had some mold. Beds very firm and pillows were flat. Small rooms. Breakfast was decent but very crowded. Staff was very friendly but that's about the only redeeming quality here. Would not stay there again.

We had a nice stay. The bed was very comfy, nice shower. Breakfast was ok, nothing special. I liked the check in staff.

The hot water in the shower was barely warm. Didn't feel like that was a great shower. I enjoy hot showers not like warm. This was sad to me.

Close proximity to many areas we wanted to visit. Short drive to downtown Charleston. It’s off the main road which is nice. The front desk gentleman was helpful and welcoming. Pool was nice. The bed was very soft and comfortable. Our room had a musty smell that came and went. A couple of the towels were dirty when we first arrived. Breakfast was good, but it was the same everyday. Housekeeping did not restock anything or change linens other than towels for our 5 night stay, they did empty the garbage daily.

Beds were super comfortable and the room was cozy. Only complaint was the overwhelming smell of mildew.

Some lightbulbs didn’t work. Would have liked way to add apps to tv, had a few (Netflix and Prime) but no way to add Hulu, Peacock, etc.

The breakfast selection was repetitive each day, and the eggs and sausage were overcooked and dry. The bed was comfortable, although the pillows could have been better. The rooms could use a more thorough deep cleaning, and we even had to clean the air conditioner filter ourselves, which was quite unpleasant. During our five-day stay, housekeeping only replaced the towels and did not provide any additional cleaning service. The room also had a slight musty smell. On a positive note, the daytime front desk clerk was very friendly and helpful. The pool area was clean and enjoyable, though it was a bit noisy on that side of the hotel.

Toilet seat lid could not stay up & open because the toilets are recessed under the sink countertops. We were told they know it and they are renovating. We had to use duck tape( which we luckily had in our car) to tape the lid to the countertop. Very inconvenient to quests especially females. Hotel is old needs complete renovation. It was clean & air conditioning was working well. So that a plus. Staff was pleasant.

Our room was very clean, staff were very friendly and our stay was fine. My only criticism would be that our shower had a shower curtain and it didn’t prevent the water from leaking out onto the bathroom floor.

The staff were really friendly, they do not make the bed everyday they only replace towels, the room felt a little dirty, moldy and humid.

This a great place to stay for The Bridge Run weekend!

I get back to the room and decided to get some photo editing done. I kicked off my shoes and decided to look at the catsup on the wall while I worked. I had to take some medication, so I began to look for some glassed or plastic cups, none found. As I began to get ready for bed, I already removed my sneakers earlier, so I had been walking around the room in my white socks. When I pulled my socks off, I was absolutely shocked how dirty the bottoms were (see picture). Sleep was okay, and the bed was comfortable, but the night light they have at the door is a bit much. Bad enough the light from the hall intrudes, but this annoying. Next morning I prepare to leave, but the dirty socks made me wonder if the floor was clean, so I used a washcloth and just rubbed it next to the bed, low and behold, the pictures say it all, filthy. I thought it would be easier to keep the laminate floor clean as opposed to carpet, I guess not!

The rooms are clean and nice showers. But extremely limited on hot breakfast got fed up quickly.coffee machines were not working which was really upsetting. Mam behind the desk extremely helpful every day

The breakfast was ok

I was hopeful when booking a Best Western because I knew what to expect from the company. This hotel had a strong air freshener odor in the lobby and room. While the front staff were friendly, the staff did nothing to prevent parties with people using drugs. The breakfast was terrible. No honey, no ‘cooked’ biscuits, no bacon, coffee came from a machine, etc. Just not a full breakfast as expected from similar hotels I’ve stayed at down the street. Location was decent, but I won’t be back.

Clean room

Plenty of restuarants and activities in Mt. Pleasant and hotel is located centrally. We are very familiar with Charleston and the Patriots points area and gave this location a shot. The primary issue with this hotel and the ones closest around it are all the sports teams playing some type of travel sport in the Patriot's Point complex. People turn their kids loose to run the halls. Drinking by parents in the parking lot while kids are running in an around cars and eventually two Mt. Pleasant police cruisers pulled up to the lobby entrance. We packed our bags and left early. If you cannot behave like civilized humans, stay home and don't ruin someone elses peaceful time!

Room was as looked in picture. Staff was very friendly at check in. I would stay here again especially for the price.

Room was disgusting. I was blood on the wall.. we asked for a new room that was filthy., it was midnight and we left the hotel to go find another one. Staff was courteous.

The stay was nice and the area as well is close to the shopping center which was convenient and its not too far from downtown charleston will be back next time. I just didnt put 5 stars since i noticed on the towels there were stains on it.

We had an amazing time at this Best Western! The staff and hospitality were fantastic! The room was very comforting and perfect for our short visit to Charleston! We would definitely come back to this hotel in the future!

Hotel was clean and staff were friendly. We had cold water showers twice during our stay because the hotel was full so that was a frustration. Suggestions, serve butter with breakfast, other suggestions, the shelf behind the toilet is too wide and the toilet lid falls down when sitting on it. Cut back the shelf so this doesnt happen. Move the mirror from the bathroom door to a wall near an outlet so others can use it to curl hair while someone else uses the bathroom.

Owner/Manager was very friendly, funny and engaging. We were welcomed with a cookie at checkin. Location is fantastic, next to Patriots Path and Shem Creek and Charleston. Breakfast offered several choices from pre made mini cheese omelette, sausages, waffles, bisquits, cereals, and yogurt with toppings. However, my OKAY (vs Good) rating I feel is warranted due to several reasons. The eggs and sausages in the warmers were all very burnt, and yogurt machine empty each morning (and we ate early 8:30). One mattress in our room was literally down to springs. Room 220. Water pressure and consistency of hot water was just not there. Other guests shared they had same hot water issues while we were talking in elevator. Hallways had towels left by doors each of the days we stayed. Noise of slamming doors at 6am (and late hours) as well as yelling in hallways and stomping above us, was like nothing I have experienced. Hallways had such an odor. Hope mgmt can address.

This place is close to the beaches and seek seeing areas. Staff , very friendly. It was a great stay.

The room had no power or lights, and it smelled bad. When I checked in, the door was wide open—likely left that way all day to try to air it out because of the odor. Unfortunately, I woke up the next morning with a sore throat. Overall, very disappointing stay.

This hotel had a musty smell. They gave towels that left fuzz all over me (I was covered head to toe). Bed not comfortable. Room is small. Shower leaks floors were sticky. Overall gross one of the worse places I’ve ever stayed.

The room had a mildew smell upon entering, the fridge didnt work i can only assume it hasnt been defrosted in a while as there was ice build up we lost food that was in fridge. the breakfast was sad very sad. i can assume there wasnt meat due to religous reasons of owners and staff. we stayed at a place owned by hilton the night before for the same price point in the sticks in ga, and that place was awesome in comparison. The best western was clean and they did replace towels and trash, however we would have liked to know that that is what they would do as i had some personal things that wouldnt have stayed in the room.

The staff at this location were excellent and welcoming. They were able to assist with anything I needed. The afternoon snacks and breakfast were good too. 24 hour coffee is available and free. The hotel was clean. The air conditioner worked very well. Only thing that could have been better was the appearances of some things that needed to be painted again to improve the esthetics of the place. Will stay here again if needed.

Room smelled of mildew mixed with cleaning products. Opened window but holes in screens. Bathroom sink didn’t have cold water. Hair dryer was broken. Needed to jiggle toilet handle to get it to fill back up with water to flush. Over all awful experience

When we arrived, there were 2 small issues in our room. The staff quickly responded and resolved them.

We have been staying at this Best Western for years. The new management is working hard to upgrade the rooms, and it's paying off. Our room was clean, and the new shower was awesome! The front desk staff always had warm cookies on hand. We will be back!

The room had a smokey odor when it was a smoke free hotel. It seemed like certain areas of the hotel were under construction.Overall, it was a good stay.

Property needs to be updated. General Public Areas were clean, but the Elevator was not.

Get your own hide away close to downtown Charleston.

The stairways were very dirty and our room really needed a good cleaning along with the shower. For the most part bed was ok, but didnt like that the toilet was extremely low to the ground which I found odd. The continental breakfas was just that. Very disappointing considering all the reviews I read bragging how good and hot it was.

Everyone was very nice. Only 2 problems. When we walked into our room it smelled of weed. They quickly took care of that and when the toliet seat was down you could see where urine had splattered and not been cleaned. As with the odor, just as soon as they were notified it was corrected

Walkable to attractions

The location was great. The hotel is going through extensive rehabbing and we stayed in a finiahed room which was nice. Breakfast was just ok and the breakfast person was not as helpful as other best westerns. Their was gravy but the biscuits were cold and hard and the egg patty was not as good as scrambled eggs would have been. We stayed at the best wrstern in savannah the previous night and im comparing this hotel to that one which scored all 10's.

Affordable, but room always smelled of mildew. Whole floor smelled of THC. I know pictures online when you book a room can be different, but the room was disappointing. Not to mention the floor was booked with loud up all night 8th graders so no one slept. Would spend a little more and go somewhere different.

Front desk awesome. Breakfast needs more variety. 24 hour coffee appreciated. We had to rehang window covering so it actually covered window. It was partially hanging when we arrived. Also problems with hot water: workers helped us with that. May have been installed backwards. Location great for Charleston. Good value for money.

I enjoyed the breakfast and snacks and the friendly staff. My room was small but clean and met my needs. Public areas needed some paint, carpet. Room doors need paint. It iOS a non smoking facility but I smelled smoke. That being said, I’ll stay there again.

In the evening we had water pressure and hot water but tub clogs so you’re standing in a pile of dirty water. I don’t expect much from best western, but they can at least provide the bare minimum like hot water in the morning. I only stayed here due to a soccer tournament. Won’t happen again Buffet was awful, first day there was no meat and the pancake mix tasted sour. Good thing i brought some fruit for my kid to have breakfast before his soccer game. Just choose another hotel and save yourself the trouble.

My family stayed one night before our cruise at this hotel. Very friendly. Room was a normal hotel room. Very comfortable and clean. I had not requested a handicap room because i had only broke my leg 1 month before our stay but seeing I was on a knee scooter the clerk gave me the closest room to the lobby on the first floor. Very considerate! Would stay there again if we visit Charleston in the future.

We stay here each time we visit Mt Pleasant. It is close to everything if you have a vehicle. Breakfast is always good here

One of the lights and outlets did not work. The shower/bath water took forever to get warm and then had next to no pressure. The shower head only worked on one strong massage setting. The breakfast was an average hotel breakfast.
