The breakfast was very basic. Cereal, pastries, juice, and coffee. I honestly wouldn’t call that “breakfast” but better than nothing. Parking was plentiful. This is a “you get what you pay for” selection but works great for someone on a budget.

It’s fine for an overnight stay. Room was clean and bed was comfy. It’s right off the freeway so area not pretty but was practical for what we needed which was just somewhere to stay for one night only on a budget.

The hotel and area outside was clean and the staff were nice. The room was clean, and received clean towels when asked, they didn't count them. I would stay there again.

I will never stay at this hotel again . They did not give us our room until 5 pm and the time to enter was 3 pm. Also when I called Expedia they were no help!! All I got was the run around! First person just said she could not help and give me the manager ( which I don’t think she was) . All she said let me talk to the hotel which they put her on hold for some time. As I keep waiting for my room! I also got a cup of soup and no water or spoon for the cup of soup. That was just the start of things wrong!!!! Expedia you should train better your staff!! Arthur

First time we had a bad experience with our stay. Room was not kept. Chair was disgustingly filthy. Headboard was bad condition. Toilets water kept running. It was a constant flow. Shower head water run was so loud. If we had a condition it would have been not such a good scene. Bathroom ceiling in shower area was dirty. TV control only worked close to the TV. We have stayed here many times and it’s the first time we were disappointed and unsatisfied

I booked this hotel a few days before a business trip to Coronado, which also happened to be during my birthday week. Unfortunately, it was one of the worst hotel experiences I have ever had. The room smelled strongly of cigarette smoke, was dirty, had insects, and there was no drinking water available. The vending machines only accepted cash, which was inconvenient. The worst issue occurred when I tried to shower and discovered that the water was brown and full of dirt. I reported the problem immediately. Although the front desk staff was polite and tried to help, maintenance informed me that the water issue affected the entire hotel, so changing rooms would not solve the problem. Because of the unacceptable conditions, the owner eventually approved a refund after the manager, George, failed to respond. To make matters worse, I was charged twice for my four-night stay. The hotel released the authorization hold but has still not refunded the amount I paid. Months later, I am still trying to get answers. George is never available, and no one has contacted me regarding the status of my refund. The poor room conditions, contaminated water, double billing, and lack of management communication completely ruined what should have been an important business trip and birthday celebration. I cannot recommend this hotel.

No coffee machine the free breakfast is 1/2 box of serial , luke warm coffee. And a danish, that is not breakfast, snak may be? The deposit $ 250 assuming it's like other hotels it stays pending, when you leave gets released, Wrong. Instantly gets cashed. To get it back 17 business days, 3 and half weeks, mine took 4 weeks, if only 100 stay a week for 3 weeks $75000 of our money in their money market account, allows 10% of actual price for stock trading, highly illegal what a racket.

The room was very clean and comfortable. The shower/tub had a good shower head. Fridge in the room is a nice touch. The microwave wasn't working but the manager came right down and took care of it. Breakfast is a good mix of cereal and pastries. The pillows were small squares that are very firm. Might be regular pillows smashed down into squares. There was only a single bar of soap in the room. I had a smoking room and there was no ashtray, but I was able to get one without issue.

We use the room as an overnight stop before our cruise in the morning. The neighborhood was a bit iffy, but it was only eight minutes from downtown, which was still an iffy area. Overall, it was a clean place to sleep, but had terrible towels that were stained as well as a leaking refrigerator that we had to put additional towels on the floor, but for the price it is what we expected

Surprisingly it was alright. Staff were helpful, room was clean and decent. Enough room to park anywhere.

The hotel was excellent

Your associate at check in could use a lot more customer service training. Room was not ready at check in time. Asked him if we would be compensated for the inconvenience to which he stated "you can just leave". If we had more time we would have looked for somewhere else to go. Water pressure was low. Other than that everything else was fine.

This is my second time staying at Howard Johnson. The rooms are filled with bugs. Smells like smoke. And they are inconsistent with there deposite charges. Which it has been 4 days and I still haven't received my deposit back.

Good stay. Staff was friendly & helpful on check in and check out. Room was super clean with comfy bed. Spacious with all amenities. Bathroom was well maintained. An older hotel so appearances not great but was great stay & value for what I paid. Will stay here again.

Only one narrow way to get in/out of the parking lot. Had to check in outside through a teller window instead of getting to come into the lobby.

Property was a little dirty. There was prostitutes walking the street in front of it when we pulled up. And so I was a little apprehensive at first, but if you don't go out after like 8 o'clock at night, it's a really nice property to stay at for the price. We stayed with our two young kids. My only complaint about this particular property is the shower didn't get super hot

The front desk staff was not helpful we needed clean towels and fix bathroom door handle and to top it off 3hours of our neighbors fighting and then making up I called 2 times at 3am to let front desk know I needed to wake up early next day to drive home on 3 hour drive and was so extremely tired from the poor sleep

It would be nice to check in earlier at that about that time, and get ready for work myself and be settled in, earlier without so much in car for my job?

Milk and cereal it not a breakfast

The guy that checked me in was rude. Check in time is at 3. My family and I arrived about 3:30 and he was upset we arrived at that time because our room wasn’t ready. He proceeded to say there wasn’t anything he could do about it and he wouldn’t check me in. I told him I wanted him to check me in and would come back after 4 which he agreed to. There’s prostitution in front of every hotel thats around there which we didn’t expect and we had our kids with us.

Tv remote didn’t work, desk clerk rude, prepaid charged my card for deposit upon arrival yet didn’t notify me of the charge after receiving confirmation from my bank asked what the charge was and then said it would be refunded after 10 days. The bed was comfortable and the staff on Sunday was very help when I fell in the parking lot . They did not have one of reservations and charged a walk I. Fee of an additional 50.00 per room per night and the staff was very rude and would not even try to accommodate. Even had confirmation numbers . I stayed at this hotel since it was close to the military base to visit family. First impression the hotel seemed to be under construction and there was a huge hole in the parking lot only being covered by a piece of plywood. It was not secured and my car tire fell into it as I drove over it. The floors in the hotel seemed like they hadn’t been mopped or swept in quite a while. There was no way you could walk around barefoot. There was absolutely no hot water out of the three showers I took while being there the 2 nights. The continental breakfast was pretty much non existent. The second night a man kept trying to open the door to the room we were staying in which was scary (yes, I informed the front desk).

The outside of the hotel was a little run down and there was a lady carrying bags around inside the facility. We ended up leaving and finding another hotel in another town. I will say that Howard Johnson was very good about refunding our money and when we did look at our room, it seemed clean. I just felt uncomfortable with the location.

I travel for work, have traveled the same way for close to three years. When I travel I ship catalogs to the first hotel in which I'll be staying. I've never had a hotel reject the shipment because the guest wasn't present at that very moment. It's incredibly clear the staff couldn't even be bothered to check if the guest would be arriving soon. Aside from that the room was in poor condition, the shower "wall" which was actually just cheap laminate was separating from the actual wall of the shower. Cracks and permanent stains on the floor, hair in the refrigerator, unpleasant front desk staff, etc. Overall a poor experience.

It’s not my first time staying here, but this time was not a good stay. The TV had no signal, I tried to call and the phone had no line, also there was just one tiny hand soap bar which finished by the 2nd day, and finally, the shower gel in the shower also finished by the 2nd day. It was an uncomfortable stay.

Room was clean and staff was very nice. There was cereal, coffee/juice, and some muffins/yogurt by the front desk. Just be careful booking your room. I accidently booked a smoking room, and it smelled very strong of cigarettes'.

It is a Budget motel not in the greatest area. The rooms for the most part were clean though questionable. Parking was not an issue whatsoever, for the area it was in I am not surprised by anything but probably wouldn't stay there again.

The man at the front desk is extremely rude. Makes assumptions off race and gender that you will be having “ guest over “ makes threats of charging your card if they suspect “ guest “. Room was smelly like smoke even with a non smoking policy. Floor was dirty, baseboards had not been wiped in years. There was black mold in the shower and a mysterious blood looking spot on the wall. The area was less than appropriate for a family hotel. Adult workers strolling the street and the parking lot sounded like a car show on multiple occasions.

I didn't have any hot water in the shower my entire stay. When I told the front desk on my 1st day they told me to let the water run 15-20 minutes. That definitely didn't help. And when I mentioned it when I checked out a different front desk attendant told me maintenance had been working on it & likely revereded it.

First room I checked into had roaches inside. I called the front desk and they stated that they had someone in there for a month and that was the reason why there were roaches. They swapped me rooms but still didn’t take away that dirty feeling.

I was expecting a different quality of hotel considering this is a Wyndham but the hotel was really dingy, the first room I was assigned smelled really bad, but the concierge was kind enough to assign another room that was acceptable

Room was spacious with a comfortable bed. Only negative is when i walked around the room barefoot, the bottom of my feet got black from dirty floor. Parking was great. Felt safe.

I could hear the highway sometimes over my sound machine. The black out curtains were nice. It's convenient being near the highway.

The motel has an older vibe, with smaller rooms and a compact layout. We spent most of our time out and about and only needed the room for sleeping, showering, and getting ready. If we had needed to spend more time in the room, it would have felt too cramped for us. On the plus side, the room included a refrigerator and microwave, and they offered a continental breakfast.gerator and microwave, and they offered a continental breakfast.

This place was clean overall but the floors. The floors were still dirty and there was hair all over. Another issue is the water. The water seems to not work as the water would stay cold during showers and from the sink; It would get warm at times but wouldn’t stay warm for long.

Property was clean, quick check in but they took $150 which is fine but was told up to 15 days for refund. Room was next to street so freeway noise was bad , next door noise was bad. You can hear everything. I would stay again for the night but not long term

Check in fine was at 3pm but I couldn’t check in till they were done with “shift change”. The hot water to the shower wasn’t really hot. Just slightly warm. There was roaches in my room. Had to kill some all 3 nights I was there. Went get a blanket after 8pm because it was cold and the gentlemen working the office, instead of professionally helping me he was more busy talking on the phone using his air pods in his left ear. While me and others were talking to him he was talking on his personal phone. Some dust Particles in the room but not major. Room smaller in person that the pictures.

The property was clean, but in overall poor repair. We had trouble closing the door to our room. There was no hot water on our second day. The furnishings in the room were clean, but old and dated. The lighting in the room was poor. The staff were friendly and helpful and our room was clean with comfortable beds, but I am unlikely to book at this property again.

Walked into my room and the first thing a see is a cockroach. There were also brown stains on the bed. On top of that I got double charged for 2 nights when I only stayed one and it’s been impossible to get in contact with someone to help me figure this out. Would not stay here.

Bathroom looks like it's tilted. Lukewarm water, water backing up in the tub. Floors are disgusting. Mold? Shoddy construction work. No coffee maker. This is a very low budget Motel and should be demolished. Pros: Great water pressure. Clothes drying: I approached management and he said he saw nothing wrong with it, in fact the guests asked if he could hang the clothes there and management approved it, but if I was going to complain about it he would talk to the guest and have the clothes removed. Perfect Storm. Management gets to blame another guest for something that a guest shouldn't be doing in the first place except maybe in a third world country. Great way to get your tires slashed. This Motel is not recommended and I will not be staying here ever again.

Property was remodel but with very very low craftsmanship, unfinished areas, cheap materials and residential use not comercial, sink was dirty and with mold !

We have stayed at the ramada before and was very scared about this motel , but adter walking into our room we were so happy and pleased how clean and up kept was the room. No suspicious activities inside of parking lot we were scared at first pulling in but we felt much safer here then at las palmeras

The hotel is fine, clean and very good. The only problem is that the area around is not safe, not good. Some quite a number of people with immoral conduct behaviors in the area which is not safe.

We would have been grateful if there was drinking water refill in the property.

The room was dirty & run down. Mirror was still dirty. Bathroom light made a high pitch sound when you turn it on. The tub (overflow cap) was sitting on the tub so you see a big black hole. First day we had a nice white comforter on top and second day it was gone. Itchy blanket.

Small space area for breakfast. Barely any food for breakfast.

There was a dead roach in our first room. Due to this is there any compensation? A discount due to us having to get another room and dealing with this instead of enjoying our stay.

Pleasant stay overall. Front desk staff at check-in was super engaging, friendly, and accommodating. Room was adequate, bed being especially comfortable. Amenities included a microwave and mini refrigerator. Plenty of free parking. Stayed on a Friday night and property was quiet. Would stay again.

Easy check in and staff was really friendly. Rooms are very small but comfy and clean.

Costumer service at night was so bad!! In the morning the guy was nice and professional. Room was dirty and no hot water what so ever. So much traffic at night. We had prostitutes come up to our car window with our kids in the car. Homelessness asking for money as well. I left after the first night and cancelled the other 2 nights. Never again!!!

Upon check in, the front desk agent seemed preoccupied and unfriendly. Thankfully, once we got to the room, things improved. the room was clean modern and comfortable. the property was in a decent area(except for the presence of a couple of call girls during the day) and was within easy access from the freeway.

First of all the room was extremely dirty. The bathroom has mold on the ceiling and the walls had brown patches. There was also a roach in the room I had to kill. After check out the person checking me out did not correctly check me out causing me to be charged an extra night. The staff on the phone was nice to resolve the issue but overall was a terrible experience.

Stayed one night, basic amenities, felt unsafe due to lots of people coming in and out during the night. Be aware of the $250 dollar deposit fee when you check in even if you prepay for your stay.

We charged a $100 deposit, which was mentioned before booking, and it will take 2 weeks to get it back, unacceptable!

The hotel was easy to access from the freeway. We arrived around 11pm. The night clerk was not friendly and he seem to be bother to have to check me in. I called ahead to let him know i was running late. Breakfast could be better. They only had a continental breakfast. The coffee was good but there was no creamer/ half and half. They only had regular milk.the cleaning crew was great. They were super helpful and friendly. They clean our roo. Without having to requested. Overall it was a good hotel.

I'm pee and it's not a real fancy place. The room's clean and very nice. It's close to the freeway and but the staff. I don't think they were very pleasant upon arrival and explain their services to you. Everything was on a piece of paper stuck to the window of the front office

The house keeping need to be corrected . Keep on knocking the if we’re checking out it was still 9:30. We are still sleeping and then came back asking if we will check out. We did check out at 11:45 still on time. Supposed to be we want to e tend up to 12 pm but got pissed off that lady keep coming back asking for our check out. So annoyed.

Nothing positive to say about this property. Tried to get refund to move to another hotel but front desk refused. Other guests next to use came back at 3:30am and were loud and obnoxious. Extremely Bad neighborhood & would feel safe walking any time of day. Saw man urinating in public during day time. Shower never got hot, it was luke warm at best. TV only able to get 1 station. We would not recommend this hotel.
