The hotel staff is consistently praised for their friendliness and helpfulness. The location is also a high point, with many guests appreciating its proximity to Wall Street, the ferry, and various subway stations. However, the breakfast receives mixed reviews, with some guests enjoying the selection and others finding it lacking. The rooms are often described as small, and there are various complaints about the amenities, including issues with heating, air conditioning, and bathroom fixtures.

Loved the location since we there for 2 nights but only one full day. We attended a party in Brooklyn and also did the Statue of Liberty tour — very convenient location plus I love the charm of FiDi! Also, we enjoyed the free breakfast. Although, this was the first Hampton that didn’t have gluten free bagels. The first room they gave us didn’t have any windows and was stuffy. It did not at all match the photo of the type of room I selected. I asked for a different room. The room they gave us was on the 2nd floor, street side and each night I was awoken by loud garbage trucks or people yelling. Walls were very thin.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. I frequent New York City often (lived in the city for years and still come regularly for both business and leisure) and I am very pleased with this hotel. It was well kept and the staff is very friendly. Will definitely stay here again soon.

Clean room. Kind, professional staff!
- 5/5
The rooms are a good size—small but not crowded. They offer a free continental breakfast in a cozy dining room, where the food is tasty and warm. The staff is very friendly and helpful. There are also many places to eat nearby, ranging from budget eateries to fine restaurants. The area is highly convenient, safe to walk in during the evening, and public transport is just steps away!

The location and the people who worked there. Nice, professional and helpful. Good breakfast. For the expense of the room there really should be more than one place to sit other than the bed. A desk chair was the only place to sit in the room.

El hotel está super bien ubicado para varias atracciones en el distrito financiero. La limpieza es top y la habitación es super cómoda. El desayuno es top y tiene de todo lo necesario para desayunar.

I loved everything about my stay at Hampton Inn Manhattan. It’s located in an excellent area, close to everything. The staff were incredibly kind and friendly, and the hotel definitely exceeded my expectations. Nothing

The breakfast was excellent. The property was very clean, the shower was a very good size and excellent. The room was a better size than many hotels in the manhattan area. Very comfortable! The area around the hotel is the financial district. So it is very safe. It is also 2 blocks from the ferry station in battery park.

This place was in a great location. Only a couple blocks to both subway and statue of liberty. Room was both quiet and clean. Nice new tv as well.
- 3/5
Didn't like the hotel
- 4/5
My husband and I were pleased with our stay. The location was convenient - close to the subway. The staff was friendly and professional, breakfast was satisfying. The room was clean but a little small. We would stay here again on our next trip to NYC.
- 4/5
Breakfast was not great; very little variety and hot food was not prepared well. Great location. Staff was super helpful and responsive. Rooms were clean hut housekeeping did not restock well during our week long stay; repeatedly had to ask for towels and basics like toilet paper or tissues
- 5/5
Great breakfast!

Friendly staff
- 4/5
Everything was OK
- 5/5
Overall it was clean other than a bad oder getting off the elevator to our room. The location is great. My first time staying in the Financial District and it’s much quieter and less people then Time Square area. There are a lot of restaurants to choose from.
- 5/5
Good location with easy subway access and some good restaurants nearby
- 5/5
Staff, especially Raphael was super nice and very helpful and informative. Made my check in experience outstanding!
- 3/5
Room didn't have refrigerator but we asked for one and they brought one up. There was no deck or places to for guest to sit outside of building. Water wasn't hot during showers and breakfast was not appetizing!
- 4/5
great staff, great room.
- 5/5
Everything was great
- 3/5
The room was okay. Nothing special. It was actually pretty small. The bathroom mirror was the best part. Good lighting for makeup. The front door to the hotel was broken. We tried 3 times to go to the roof top bar and once they decided to open at a random time, the second time it was closed for a private event and the third time it was too late and they were about to close. The hotel wasn’t dirty but not clean. I was expecting more from the reviews, the fact it’s a Double Tree and the stars it has.
- 5/5
Clean room, quiet, breakfast buffet had a nice assortment, plenty of coffee all day

- 5/5
The staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful from start to finish. They kindly held our luggage when we arrived before our room was ready so we could go out and sightsee, and they did the same after checkout the next day, which made our trip so much easier. The night desk clerk, Daniel, deserves special mention — incredibly accommodating and attentive. He patiently answered all of our questions and even brought us hot water and cocoa when it ran out. That level of service really stood out. The room was small, but perfect for a Manhattan stay. It was very clean, the bed and pillows were comfortable, the room temperature stayed comfortable throughout the night, and there was minimal noise, which made for a great night’s sleep. The bathroom was a good size, with excellent water pressure and temperature. Breakfast was complimentary and while it wasn’t anything fancy, it did exactly what we needed it to do — fuel us up so we could head out sightseeing and grab something heartier later. There were eggs, sausage, potatoes, cereals, waffles, bread, juices, tea, and coffee. We only stayed one night, but based on our experience, I would highly recommend this hotel and would gladly stay here again.
- 1/5
Staff Very rude, no one listens. Bad smell. Unacceptable breakfast, no juice, not even bread, everything is missing. Hateful receptionist.
- 3/5
The hotel location is great and easy access to subways to get uptown. Overall the hotel is just OK, and the staff were as helpful as they could be after a bad start. Beware, if yoy have a roadside room too, the noise from things like bins heing emptied at 3am is very loud. The windows do not keep out the noise sufficiently unfortunately.
- 3/5
accommodation very limited
- 5/5
The Staff is extremely good 👍
- 5/5
The neighborhood is very secure and quiet. The hotel staff was very nice and helpful. The room was very clean, it was a small room, but we felt comfortable. Breakfast was good too. I will definitely stay here again.
- 3/5
The room was nice and clean, lovely helpful staff, just the noise from surrounding buildings, the hotel windows are so thin , i could hear the air con/ fan noises from other buildings all day and night, buzzing noise that i had to buy ear plugs, the breakfast was disappointing, the fruit was always old and warm like it had been sitting under the lights for months and too many sugary things for breakfast , i would never have a muffin for breakfast , the room was nice and big and the staff were always happy and helpful
- 5/5
The breakfast was good, with a decent selection to choose from, waffle, fruits, muffins, bread, omelet, sausage, oat porridge, juices, yogurt, cereal, coffee, tea etc. Our room was good, I only wished it had a mini bar fridge so I could refrigerate the drinks I bought at the convenience store.
- 5/5
Clean simple effective hotel room in a nice area for exploring Manhattan. Breakfast is good enough but not amazing. The gym is very small with a low ceiling.
- 3/5
The staff was great, all were so freindly and helpful. Everything was clean in the hotel. Our room had a leak in the bathroom ceiling and the floor had a puddle on it. They fixed it as soon as we notified them. The biggest complaint would be that there was no where for our clothes to go. A basic metal "closet" like they have the lower end cheaper hiltons would have been nice and the lack of even the smallest mini fridge would really help in the rooms also. I would have brought a small makeup one had i realized. This hotel seems to be more of a one nihht stay than a several day stay place. I did expect more for a $400+ a night hotel.
- 5/5
The breakfast was good
- 3/5
Older hotel need update, very small room and smelly.
- 5/5
The room was tiny but the bathroom was spacious. It did not include a microwave or refrigerator; however, the staff provided a fridge upon request.
- 4/5
Clean, well laid out room Adequate exercise facility Good variety of options at breakfast (even chocolate waffle batter)
- 4/5
The staff was lovely and helpful from start to the end of my stay. While there wasnt parking available, the staff gave pointers and went above and beyond to assist me with finding nearby parking at an affordable rate.
- 2/5
It was ok. Not worth 800 plus for $200. Very disappointed. Saw a roach.
- 2/5
Lobby and breakfast area very clean and updated. Room was very outdated not very clean, portable air conditioner vent out the windows with wood and tape holding it in place. No refrigerators in room.
- 3/5
Basic breakfast and room, little bit noisy. Price wise is not worthy, location wise is good
- 4/5
So I rode my bike to NYC and needed a place to stay near downtown and the Amtrak terminal (I was taking the train back to Pittsburgh). This hit the spot. It was clean, staff was great, their food app worked great, breakfast was great and the bed was soft. But, it was loud in the halls (I know I'm in NYC) the ice maker wasn't on my floor, and the room was the smallest I'd stayed in. I would mention it cost $500+ but I expected that... all that said with ear plugs I got a great night sleep, rode 2.5 miles on bike lanes to the train station, and would do it again!
- 4/5
Best location for lower manhattan and access to Statue of Liberty. Close to subway lines and staff helped us to get where we needed to go.
- 5/5
Everything was good
- 5/5
Breakfast was great! Staff was amazing. Location perfect. Great value for money.
- 5/5
Good location to walk to Pier 17, WTC, Brooklyn Bridge, Staten Island Ferry, et. al.

Tout était parfait!! Le déjeuner était complet et varié. Le lit était confortable. Le personnel était serviable et sympathique.
- 5/5
Daniela and Jonathan were both very accommodating! Daniela started out my experience with a lovely and kind welcome. The room and facilities were perfect for me and my short stay. Plus, good location in the middle of the financial district. Definitely would stay again!
- 5/5
Great place to stay and the staff was so friendly.
- 4/5
It was good
- 4/5
My stay was very pleasant and just right for what I needed the hotel for. I needed to stay one night in the financial district. I just wanted a clean room with all the necessities, clean comfortable bed, clean bathroom, TV, nice friendly responsive staff, and that is exactly what I got here! A free breakfast was not a necessity for me as there are so many places to get nice breakfast in the area, but having it at the hotel with plenty of space to sit, and enjoy my food and coffee without any rush - that was a very nice perk too.
- 4/5
The Hampton Inn was conveniently located near Battery Park, the South Ferry subway station and the 9/11 Museum. There were also great dining options on Stone Street nearby. The free breakfast every morning was a great touch and very helpful. There was one day my room was not cleaned, but this can happen sometimes and it was cleaned and restocked the next day. The staff was very friendly, I would definitely recommend this hotel!
- 4/5
The staffs are friendly, close to parks and amenities. Overall the property is good.
- 5/5
Awesome ppl and place, near to everything that a couple or single person may need in NY.
- 5/5
Friendly staff
- 5/5
The staff was super friendly and helpful. The location is ideal for anything in the FiDi or Waterfront, and for a nice morning jog in Battery Park.
- 5/5
The room smelled of marijuana and cigarette smoke it penetrated everywhere.
- 1/5
Keys were not working since checkin and Staff tried to lock us out without reaching out on late checkout for Hilton members.
- 3/5
We were a bit disappointed at our stay. We have stayed at other Hampton Inn locations many times. One of the reasons we book here is because of the excellent breakfast typically served. Our breakfast was anything but. The eggs were terrible, the other options were very lackluster. While we do understand that staying in Manhattan, rooms can be small, our room felt very tight. We have stayed at many other hotels in the city and have never had such a tight space. The staff were excellent and the area has many restaurant options..
- 5/5
Great location for the Statue of Liberty tour and also walkable to 911 Memorial and even Chinatown and little Italy. Breakfast was great and the staff was very friendly and helpful.
- 3/5
Bed was comfortable however, tv good, all rooms should have a mini frig for convenience, staff friendly For the price, stay should be perfect, I still think 300 a night is a lot of money
- 3/5
The room wasn't clean and is very old building. The price is too high for this room
- 5/5
Thanks a lot
- 4/5
What I liked about this property is that they served hot breakfast items waffles, scrambled eggs and other quick options.
- 5/5
The stay was amazing we stayed on the third floor and it was quiet and the rooms was clean and the reception was amazing and the check was fast and easy. Will stay again
- 2/5
The room was very small and could’ve been cleaner.
- 1/5
Rooms are gross, our shower was filthy, air conditioning wouldn’t turn on, not what was advertised.
- 5/5
We stayed one night before a cruise leaving from Red Hook. Very convenient to the ferry terminal for getting over to Brooklyn. The area is very walkable, lots of places to eat and get coffee close by. We went to the Fraunces Tavern and the staff gave us some fun pointers about the place. Our room was not overly large but was just fine for two people for a short stay. I used the gym in the morning and it was more than adequate as was the breakfast. We had one small issue where the heat was no working in our room, and it was 7 degrees out, and I called and they sent an engineer almost immediately and it was taken care of. The shower had great water pressure and the bed was cozy. I would absolutely recommend this hotel and would stay here again.
- 5/5
Once again, the staff at this Hampton Inn were exceptional! This hotel is located conveniently for many things around Manhattan and Brooklyn. We will be back!
- 3/5
Air vents were dirt, my room had very little window access. It felt like I was sleeping in a basement and bedding had stains. The breakfast was delicious and staff was great.
- 5/5
Nice, reasonable price
- 5/5
Daniela is amazing and provides excellent customer service!
- 5/5
Breakfast was really good. Nice staff and rooms are large
- 4/5

Everything was fine and the staff was very helpful and friendly
- 4/5
We recommend this place. The 5:30 cookie tray waa just great!
- 5/5
Day stay while we transferred to upper east side. They held our luggage the day we arrived and after checkout...very friendly and wouls highly recommended this location for your FIDI district stay.
- 5/5
Great hotel with wonderful staff
- 5/5
Great welcome
- 4/5
Helpful staff, good breakfast.
- 5/5
Great
- 4/5
Quiet area for Manhattan but there was some commercial level HVAC noise outside our room and inside room HVAC unit woke us up every time it kicked in and out. The breakfast was good.
- 4/5
The free breakfast was very good
- 4/5
Typical city noise like the trash truck going out of the garage across the street at 2 Am every day. Good breakfast. And tea available in lobby anytime I really appreciate. I'd stay there again.
- 4/5
Clean
- 4/5
Property is close to everything.
- 5/5
We enjoyed our stay here, especially the breakfast which included eggs and Belgian waffles. The front desk was very friendly, and the premises was clean The location is right next to Wall St and you’re next to several subway lines It’s pretty quiet down here over the weekend
- 5/5
Room was nice sized, modern up to date bathroom and pretty decent breakfast options included.
- 5/5
Great for the price
- 1/5
Worst room
- 5/5
Great service, small room but as quiet and clean. Hot fresh cookies were amazing. Free coffee and tea, snacks for purchase. Check in was a breeze. Would totally stay here again.
- 4/5
It was little bit older and has weird odor this time than when i visited couple years ago. But I always love the location how it is convince but not too crazy busy.
- 5/5
The waffle bar was my favorite
- 5/5
From the moment you walk in staff is friendly and helpful. The room was clean, comfortable, and functional. The breakfast started early and was nice with good coffee. The location was clothes to main attractions and easily walkable.
- 5/5
Staff was very friendly and super helpful. Rooms and common areas were very clean. Only con is how slow the elevator is. Everything else was awesome. Would stay here again!
- 5/5
Great location
- 5/5
A great hotel with professional staff
- 4/5
This is the firat hotel i book in NY that offers complimentary breakfast. Staff are friendly and helpful. The location is super central and accessible
- 5/5
Great location for us visiting our daughter in Baytery Park. Walkable and safe, great restaurants and bars nearby! Staff very helpful and friendly. Rooms could use a little updating but everything was clean and surprisingly quiet!
- 5/5
Great place to stay!
- 4/5
The hotel was quite nice
- 4/5
Excellent friendly staff
- 5/5
The staff are like family .
- 5/5
Small but sufficient
- 4/5
Good value, breakfast eggs were soggy but had a decent selection.
- 5/5
Loved how close it is to wall street and the ferry. The breakfast and 24/7 free coffee is nice, since it's hard to find anything open at 11pm in the area.
- 5/5
Nice hotel
- 5/5
Bed was comfortable, Bath was remodeled nicely, room you may rest quietly.
- 3/5
The rooms were so small. changed room due to bathroom vent not working. non dimmable bedroom lights. Terrible shower head. Turtle slow elevator used stairs many times instead. No refrigerator and microwave on rooms. Need to get toiletries from lobby. No good hot protein on vegan breakfast. Close to subway stations. Surrounded with restaurants, museum. 2 min walk to battery park and liberty cruise.
- 4/5
The room was small and the city view wasn’t really great but it was clean, the front desk staff was attentive and the breakfast was good Continental breakfast. Easy access to public transportation and many places to eat nearby. Overall a good experience staying here.
- 5/5
Helpfull frontdesk personnel
- 2/5
I would not stay there again
- 5/5
The extreme friendliness of the team breakfast was amazing. Room was spotless and a gorgeous view. The front desk assisted, and Printing request. They also gave wonderful directions.
- 5/5
Great cafes and shops nearby. Quiet (for new York) Room was toasty and warm. King size bed was excellent. Shampoo conditioner and shower gel of good quality in the shower. Lovely views but only 7 floors so no wait for lifts like in other hotels. Breakfast was substantial and free tea abs coffee all day long. Staff super friendly and helpful. Only complaint is the plastic cutlery and paper plates for breakfast, not very environmentally sound even if they are recyclable better to use real ones and wash, also not easy to butter a bagel with a plastic fork. Also shower is nearly too powerful. Otherwise an excellent value for money hotel.
- 5/5
Great place to stay overnight! Staff very friend and helpful.
- 4/5
Second time in nyc, the most amazing staff ever, friendly and helpful, awesome breakfast with a coffee station 24 hours, the only thing was the thermostat of the room, the heater wasn’t working when we arrived and after that it was throwing hot air all the time, the location is amazing after 4-5 pm the streets are very calm without that crowd like time square or those areas, 1-2 blocks to subway lines
- 5/5
excellent in service
- 5/5
The staff was very friendly. The location is great and accessible to many things by walking or hopping on the subway. Great restaurants in close by walking distance.
- 5/5
Staff was excellent! So kind and helpful! Market across street is convenient for grabbing food. A little far for Times square activities but perfect for Statue of Liberty, Wall Street, downtown, Brooklyn.
- 5/5
It was good, wish you offered 2 double beds
- 5/5
Класная гостиница
- 3/5
Convenient location, friendly staff, and comfy room. Next time though, I would skip the breakfast...
- 5/5
We parked in front of the Hotel to drop my bags and I'd got a parking ticket of $95.00 because they don't have a loading zone.
- 5/5
Friendly and responsive staff offered dinner recommendations and promptly resolved an issue with my room. Solid breakfast
- 4/5
Good location.
- 4/5
Near world Trade Mall
- 5/5
the hotel isn't my first choice but due to price it was the best option. The staff were very helpful and nice the entire stay and would come back for them. thank you
- 5/5
Staff was helpful and friendly and always willing to answer any questions or concerns. Parking at the hotel is too far away.
- 4/5
The staff is great. But - The fourth floor smells awful. The building is in need of a desperate upgrade. The bathroom door is frosted glass so in the night it lights up the entire room. And our lock would not lock. Some simple maintenance could fix these things.
- 1/5
Property has no parking !!! Thats the filter ı used !!! No parking at all and it still shows the sign of parking !!ı feel tricked
- 3/5
I was unaware as it was not stated on hotel site that vehicle parking was offsite and was a good distance from the hotel. Once we found the parking garage they use (the paper directions the front desk gave me were inaccurate) we had to walk back to hotel which was well over a 10 minute walk with luggage. This was very inconvenient as well as stressful and had I known I would have chosen a different hotel.
- 5/5
We stayed for 3 days in Hampton In Manhattan hotel. It is nearest place to Big bull, world trade center and.hop on hop off bus. Staff is very friendly and kept our luggauge as we landed in the morning and we went out for sight seeing and then checked In in the evening. Ms Allen and Marcus were very nice
- 4/5
After a hot day walking through the city, the best thing about this hotel was the ice water near the entrance for guests. Such a nice touch!
- 5/5
👍
- 4/5
Property does not offer covered parking. This needs to be removed from list as being offered as it is not. Across street parking was $65. Not happy to find this out when we checked in.
