The hotel is well located within the reach of Hudson River piers, now a very trendy area, at the moment, with a younger crowd into fitness. I'm afraid I've noticed that the hotel's proprietor should take more care of rooms repairs, and well maintenance of the hotel overall. It's been nicely decorated, but services like wifi and local NYC tv channels were poor at times. Overall the staff were very attentive and keen to help, with any of the guests staying issues arising. Certain requests from the guests , should be more heard and acted upon. For instance, if the guest asks for the room to be cleaned at the early opportunity, it should be done accordingly. Apart from that, it was a very nice and confortable stay that will be repeated. Another annoying thing was that the smell of cigarettes smoking in the evening was intense. Should not be happening, as the premises are smoking-free and should be monitored more intensely. I suffer from respiratory issues and it was not pleasant. Moreover, I was told that there was a 'restaurant' annexed that was closed. It should be a good idea to reconsider franchising the empty space, to offer guests the chance, at least, mornings fresh brewed coffee or tea, and some bakery delicatessen that always embellished the guests stays. Well done and keep the good work, you have a good product there.

Hotel was clean and cozy. My family of four were comfortable a little small but understandable considering we were in New York. Only dislike was they never went by to freshen up the room to throw trash or bring fresh towels. Other than that all good. Would stay again.

Nothing While I paid for a "superior king" room, I got a double bed. No coffee maker, or even plastic cups to get a drink of water. The window shade (entire width of the wall) was broken and could not be lowered or raised. TV did not work at all. Wifi password given to me was actually an email address. No closet, desk, or chair. The door deadbolt was dysfunctional - could not lock it at all. Very thin walls. Bed was terrible - just a double mattress thrown on top of a metal bed frame that squeaked with every turn.

Our TV didn’t work. The fridge wasn’t plugged in. We asked for help with both and no one came up. Then we asked again and someone did come to help us and there was no Firestick in the TV so we couldn’t use that. I also think there should be more than one tiny trash can. It was just the one in the bathroom.

This hotel is great for a one to two-night stay especially if you are wanting easy access to Hudson Yards. Although it's darkness and unique style can come across as not as welcoming the staff were polite and helpful when needed. They do also hold baggage in a secure room which is nice since checkout is decently early. Overall satisfied with my stay.

Location is great, staff is very friendly and helpful, nice public areas open and closed inside the hotel, comfortable gym. We have enjoyed our stay there! Thank you, Hudson Yards! The biggest disappointment is the WiFi. The first 3 days, it did not work at all. Afterwards, it worked okay in the public areas, and very slow in the rooms.

Location was good, only a 20 min walk from where I needed to be. The hotel lobby was nice and clean, the staff was friendly and helpful. Bed and pillows are very comfortable, we had a restful night. Good shower and clean bathroom. The clothes rack was very cheap plastic, something that looks like it came from the cheap bin at IKEA! It really detracted from the decor. There were small AC units in some windows facing the hallway that blew hot air into the hotel, and the doors to the terrace were open on a hot 90 degrees day, making the whole way to our room a hot mess. It’s a shame, because these details really bring down the overall aesthetic of the place.

The staff seemed to be not very helpful and not very accessible at this location. They insisted that they could not find my reservation, even though I showed them the reservation confirmation and my name matched, causing a huge destruction in my travel. The rooms were nice and the bathrooms in the rooms were nice. The facilities were decent, however, the public restroom on the first floor was not clean at all and seemed to be utilized for some non-hotel guests “getting ready” spot. Not many amenities is available to use, but overall, I’m not sure if I would recommend the hotel to friends and family nor would I use this location due to the staff.

Budget-friendly hotel in a great location for HYROX events at Pier 76. Don’t expect many in-room amenities—some rooms had no refrigerator, and there was no microwave or hot water available except in the lobby. Early check-in wasn’t available. The bathroom appeared recently renovated/modern, but drainage was slow. Overall, not a luxury stay, but the casual atmosphere/patio, clean room, and convenient location made it a good option for race weekend.

Honestly I don’t appreciate that Expedia rated this place under the 4-5 star list when you filter hotels. This places true rating is 2 star and it almost made me wanna cry when the photos made it look way nicer than it was. The pool table area also doesn’t have all of the correct materials to properly play a single game. There was barely any space to store clothes properly. Lots of room space with no furniture. The rooms with furniture look like it came from the Dollar store and broke apart after trying to put a few items on it. I’d never stay here again unless it was the last hotel available in the entire city.

Hudson Yards Hotel has become my absolute favorite spot in the city. From arrival, the experience was seamless & welcoming. A truly calm, quiet atmosphere rare in NYC. The front desk team stood out, especially Simone, who was warm, professional & incredibly attentive throughout my stay. Terrance was exceptional as well, kindly assisting me w/ multiple heavy suitcases while I was in the middle of a video prod for celebrity clients. His support made everything easier & stress-free. Tisha was also wonderful, so kind & uplifting. The garden is a beautiful area for relaxation & feels even more peaceful after a long day.The hotel itself is simple, elegant & comfortable, never ostentatious, just well-designed for both business & rest. My room was beautiful spacious, clean & featured a very comfortable king bed. Second time here, before it was under a different name. This time around my stay was more positive. Staff is friendly and helpful, and someone is there 24/7. The room is good enough if you’re just using it as a place to sleep. No room service for food. The bed is not very comfortable, it was hard and you can feel the springs. Because the hotel is older, there were ants that were coming in from a crack in the bathroom, it’s wasn’t an infestation but I saw a few that came from and went into the crack. I had some bug spay so I sprayed the crack and it kept them out for the next few days. The owner was changing the internet so we couldn’t connect to the WiFi. The front desk had a QR code but I still wasn’t able to connect. The front desk staff said some rooms had the WiFi and some didn’t, our didn’t so we couldn’t connect to the tv the entire duration of our trip. Wasn’t that big of a deal since we only used that room as a place to sleep. For the price we paid, it was a good enough hotel that was central to everywhere we wanted to go.

The rooms were dingy, broken down, stained, with a cheap dollar store plastic tubing “closet” and all around very disappointing. The other guests we interacted with all seemed a little off in a scary keep your guard up kinda way. The luggage storage room was not monitored so anyone could go in there and take your bags. The pool table was a used Playboy table with torn felt. I thought the low lighting throughout the hotel was chic at first until I realized it was done so you couldn’t see all the dusty and stained carpeting. Oh and the art in the room was tacky, and inappropriate with a literal half naked girl in panties. The staff were friendly though so there’s that.

Please trust the reviews. If you don't need internet stay--if you don't mind tons of mosquitos at night--stay. If you don't mind running toilet--stay. THe issues are not going to help a person on a work trip. THe fact that you won't be able to rest well is a big issue. Not only do you wrestle w/ hotel issues--the front side of the hotel is super noisy. Overall, in all my work travel which is quite extensive--this hotel won as the worst experience ever. They really need to consider remodeling and fixing issues that are clearly posted in the reviews. I did read them but kept an open mind because I wanted to cut down on my work commute. I would much rather travel to work the next day and say I got a great nights rest instead of Hudson Yards Hotel. The staff is in a hard position, they already know the hotel is problematic.. Perhaps they can warn to not stay.

It’s a shame because the location is good and - as mentioned - all the staff are absolutely lovely. The owners need to decide whether to stick or twist here. It’s unfair to guests and inconsiderate of their staff who are coping with the blow-back from customers.

This is a really horrible property. TV, AC, and Internet did not function. The front desk is impossible to communicate with and will not assist you. I would typically not write a review but this was a uniquely bad experience. From seeing others' experiences all of these issues must be known to management but they willfully do not disclose them to you upon booking or arrival.

The hotel has potential, but is clearly mismanaged. There was no wifi, so the televisions also didn't work. We were told "the engineer is out today" and "we are waiting for a part," but from the previous reviews it is clear this is a chronic issue. Our AC ran 24 hours a day to cool the room to about 72 degrees (it was about 60 degrees outside during our trip). There was a portable space heater sitting on our desk, so I assume the heat in the room was also inadequate. The room appeared to have been wiped down, but has not had an in-depth cleaning in quite some time. The bathroom in the room had substantial build up in the shower, floor and vents, and the bathroom off the lobby was abysmal.

Ac didn’t work, room smelled like musk. Bathroom was not clean. Basically a motel 8. For the price in NY I guess it’s good. Would recommend staying elsewhere if it’s more than a day. Staff was fantastic, great location.

Clean rooms w/ updated bathroom even though the property is showing its age. Great location to get to Hudson Yards as well as Time square. Staff was friendly. TV did not work and wifi signal can only be reached when near the lobby and not in the rooms, at least where i stayed at on the third floor. Then again I was there to explore NY, not watch TV but would have been nice to check out the local news and shows to unwind for the night.

I had to wait till actual 4pm check in time to be able to bet the rook because nothing was ready clean an available. Room was very spacious with a large bathroom with a shower. The room and hotel have basic amenities, but this is no problem as 42nd Street, 10th Avenue and 9th Avenue have everything you would need. The hotel has some interesting spaces, an outdoor seating area, like a courtyard, and also some indoor areas with glass ceilings. It has a modern/retro, quirky design which made it an interesting and pleasant stay.

I also felt a little itchy when staying there not sure what it was. I think for the price of the room they should at least have a microwave in the rooms.

Nothing It was filthy there was staff hair left in the bathroom and shower, there was black residue on the sheets, the pillows were not covered fully, the heating and cooling system was extremely hot or cold, the tv was in someone else’s French account and did not work, I asked for the linens to be changed and he threw everything on the floor then put stained sheets on the bed, it was gross the towel bar was broken and dangerous just put aside the sink and I had to go out to get btled water with a lot of sketchy homeless camped out everywhere. There was a large group of minors sneaking in and out of a room on the opposite side of the square 3rd floor and heavy smoking and partying. It was extremely gross and there was a picture of a blindfolded woman smoking which was not so tasteful considering the surrounding and I’m allergic

Arrived to New York around 11 o’clock couldn’t check in until 4 after requesting early check in. Couldn’t get it. Fine. Arrived to the room and as soon as I shut the door I noticed a bunch of dust build up in the wallpaper behind the door(I have pictures of all of it.) Fine. Wasn’t gonna let it bother me. Until I arrived to the bathroom. Mind you I had been waiting all door for this room to be “cleaned” When I arrived to the bathroom there is black mold all over the ceiling. Big spots of it and dust build up on the bathroom air vents. Wasn’t going to let it bother us as we had been traveling all day. Decided to keep the bathroom door shut for most of the trip. I did let front desk know upon check out which she took photos of the photos I took of the condition of the room. Don’t know if I would stay here again. Beds were comfy and clean and location was great.

Convenient location Most staff were friendly and helpful Bed was reasonably comfortable Now the bad: Room was at best clean-ish. Dirt and dust built up in corners and every nook cranny etc beyond the high traffic areas. Mold in the shower and bathroom Generally beat up and run down No closet! Just a cheap rack to hang a few items. No in room safe! No phone, clock, coffe machine, etc that is usually found in your average hotel room The horrible: No heat in the room. When I brought this up with the front desk they said they couldn’t do anything “today” but would get an “engineer” to check it out. No one ever came for the entire 3 night stay. They sent up one flimsy fleece blanket. No WIFI!!!!!! The network they tell you to connect to was not available the entire stay. Highly insecure property. Anyone can walk in during day time hours and access upper floors by the stairs without a key/card. Often times we walked in and there were no visible staff, including the front desk. Overall this is a place doing the bare minimum. The fact that amenities that are actually listed as available are actually not makes you feel ripped off. The lack of any pride in the operations and maintenance of the property make this a place to avoid.

This error is because of the hotel and not due to me as the client. He then informed me that he couldn't do anything about this error and that they were sold out for the night so they couldn't change my room. I asked for the manager and he told he that he didn't know who they were because there are several and they show up randomly. He was very rude and unhelpful. The room I was given was run down with poor decor. The ac/heat also didn't work properly. The couch had stains on it, the tv didn't work without maintenance coming to fix it. It was a poor room to give anyone. The next morning, a lady was working the front desk and she also confirmed the hotel had posted the wrong photos for the suite I booked. However, she was a lot more helpful and respectful. She worked with me to find a better room, which I appreciated. However, due to the treatment I received for the gentlemen on night one, I will never return. I also feel deceived and misled by the hotel because they posted the wrong photos of the wrong suite.

When we checked into our room 227 we found the AC did not work. It was uncomfortable and hot in the room. When we ask why we were not told the AC was broke prior to our checking in the front desk staff said they did not know and had no report of it being broken. This cannot be true as in the room there a very, very loud fan in the room. This indicated there was a known problem with the advertised amenities of the room. The fan had no knob therefore we could not control the noise or the airflow.. They also said no other rooms were available and could move not us. In addition: 3 out of 4 outlets near the bed did not work, there were holes in the towels provided for us, and the room was falling apart . The entire night was unrestful, uncomfortable, and a disappointment. Multiple attempts to contact the management has not been unreturned. For the high price and lack of communication I strongly advise against booking here.

they had no breakfast , 1- no wifi: was not working for the entire week. it seems management could not care less. staff just kept with laconic answers such as : " someone in the basement is working on it..... " no apologies at all. management was nowhere to be seen, no technical teams on sight.... probably just one basic "handyman" incapable of fixing these kind of issues. I travel a lot and i am sure in Asia this kind of problem would have been solved in less than 30 mns! 2- electrical problems in the room with " loose " outlets and flickering lights 3- heating was not working in my room at all and it was very cold ( especially at night) for 3 days the week i stayed there! 4- at check in i had to wait for 10 mns the ( only) check in clerk to emerge from behind her ( conveniently ) large monitor while i could hear her talking in Spanish to friend or family on " her" important matters. 4-elevator button would not always work..( and they have ....only one elevator) conclusion: this hotel is either to be closed or completely refurbished to standards... but 1st: change the management and retake control of that staff!

We had no WiFi for 5 days. The room was neat, a bit small for 2 people, but manageable. There is no safe to keep valuables. There is no closet. Clothing can be hung from a rack near the window which makes it difficult to raise the blinds. The refrigerator froze our liquids at first but we turned down the temperature and all was fine. No drinking water provided in the room but there are cups and water in the lobby. No coffee makers. Shower has loose tile and possible mold in grout in places. After shower you had to hold into something as there are no grab bars for assistance. The floor outside the shower gets pretty wet needing towels to soak up the water. The bed was hard. You could feel the springs. Someone might like the bed. Not me. It was a detail the hotel showed little investment. A good thing is that I couldn’t hear neighbors. If the weather is good the outdoor spaces are nice and calm with the city sound of wrestling cars honking in the background.

Awesome staff, they hold your bags. It's in a good spot. The downside was the room was so small. There is no phone in the room, no bible, and no complimentary anything. The bathroom door does not close, it's a foggy glass door that stays open and the bathroom is right next to the bed so it made it really difficult to have privacy. We had 3 days 2 nights and the internet never worked so we had no tv. All we could do is sleep so I guess it's good for that. Not the worst ever but definitely not worth the price.

Great location. Staff always ready to assist. Rooms are spacious and large. The rooms and general hotel need attention - maintenance is lacking, nicks and scuffs go unfixed and as a result end up becoming bigger issues. ALS rooms very basic. No cups, coffee, tea etc. no fridge in room although they said there is a fridge in each room.

Amazing budget friendly hotel! I stayed here with my boyfriend and loved the privacy of the rooms and location, housekeeping could've done a little better in keeping the room tidy (don't expect your room re cleaned everyday) but the staff were so kind and helpful, definitely a great hotel to book if you're a first-timer in NYC. Like I said, housekeeping could've put in a little more effort, as it would've been nice to come back to a freshly made bed instead of cleaning up myself. The area is great but definitely beware for the few crazy people you might encounter!

    1) The AC/heater was broken. It rattled constantly, all night long like a jack hammer was going off in the room. We let the front desk know and they tried to fix it. It wasn't constant, but it was still making that noise. 2)The toilet would randomly flush every hour or so, throughout the day and night. They were unable to fix that. 3)There is no cable. No local channels like CBS, ABC, NBC or Fox. Just a fire stick. The internet is so weak, we couldn't get any of the apps on the fire stick to load. It kept buffering. 4)The wall/door that separates the bathroom and the main room is frosted glass so if someone gets up to use the bathroom in the middle of the night, not only does the light from the bathroom light up the entire room, but you can see the shadow of the person in the bathroom on the toilet. Pros: 1)it's a great location. Walking distance to Time Square and Broadway and the Metro station. 2)staff was very attentive 3)there is a billiards table and a really nice fitness center. 4)the outdoor spaces/courtyards were very pretty.

Cons: The room needs significant improvement. We had very few hangers, tiny toiletries (we had to buy our own soap at Target), and only two towels. Housekeeping was a major issue; one night we returned to find our bed stripped and sheets left on the floor, despite not requesting service. When we alerted the front desk, they were unhelpful and told us to just leave the pile on the floor as no one was available to help. I expected much better service for the price.

The room was in rough shape — visible mold, dust, and a broken heater. For a place marketed as a 4-star hotel, it felt more like a motel. That said, the staff was friendly and helpful. As many have said it's really dark inside and has more of a hostel type of vibe. Generally good and comfortable room, my main issue was being charged an early check-in fee of over half the cost of the stay (not informed in person or online) and no communication from staff. Upsides it's a decent price for a hotel in midtown Manhattan just make sure you wait to check in on time.

The Hudson Yards “Hotel” is not a hotel! It’s a Motel!! The staff was very kind and professional. The rooms felt sleazy, even though I was safe it didn’t feel safe. The room itself has a faint bathroom smell. The furniture is old and beat up. The bathroom was nice and modern. There are no hotel phones or microwaves in the room. If you have to call front desk you have to use your own cell phone. I’m so glad I ended up checking out the night before an unexpected blizzard and getting a new hotel (that was way nicer with all the standard hotel amenities, on the 46th floor for even less money per night than the Hudson yards.

The hotel itself has paper and walls. You can hear the people in the next room. Basic things are missing like a glass in the washroom television in the room, and also an alarm clock. Overall would not go back, found it very noisy and loud rooms were cold due to the layout of the rooms if you’re going in winter and the heating system is not good. Room was very dirty, and you can tell very little effort was put into cleaning or maintenance. Very little attention to detail. There were only 3 pillows on a king size bed, Only a couple of hangers (There was no dresser), no duvet cover-it was just sandwitched between two flat sheets, no shower door so water got everywhere, previous guest's food left in fridge, peeling wallpaper, It felt like they were a brand new hotel and weren't ready to be open. This would be an OK place to stay for cheap for a night or two but for 11 days I ended up needing to purchase a lot for my trip and did a lot of my own cleaning.

There was a portable heater going all day in the room. When we checked in our keycard did not open the door to our room and I had to go back down to get another set that also did not work the young man working the front desk had to come up with me to open the door. In the morning I had to go back down to ask for at least a luggage rack so we could put our suitcases on something and get a set of keys that worked. We had to call down to have someone reset the TV and all we could see was what was on the fire stick it would give us an error that there was no antenna. When I questioned at the front desk why we didn’t have any place to put our things I was told that they had recently been bought out and the new owners were trying to figure out what to do.

Great, friendly staff. I was able to give them my bag before check in for free which was such a huge relief. My shower took a little while to warmup so that was a bit uncomfortable in the winter. Outside of that, this is a great hotel.

The front desk was unfriendly, the overall condition of the room was very bad. The rooms and sheets smell. The floor felt dirty. The keep money in escrow for not reason despite requesting to review the room upon check out, I got a new charge of $25 dollar that I still have not reviewed on to of the $100 dollars they are keeping in escrow for incidentals and promised to credit back after 7 days. Not reason for a place to charge in excess of $500 a night and be so disgusting.

The front desk treated us well, though calling them was difficult to get through. The room we stayed in was in varying levels of disrepair and was generally disappointed with the appointments to the room, including missing junction boxes, the lamest coat rack that I've ever seen, and other challenges. Additionally, rooms were either located on a 'freezing' hallway adjacent to an internal outdoor area, or one that required we walk through. Location was central enough and safe environs.

The hotel is located in a convenient location near the Times Square area. Friendly and attentive front desk and bag check staff. The room was small but usable for the 4 of us (2 double beds). There was a small heater that kept the room warm and plenty of hot water. I was worried based on other reviews I read, but the hotel was to our satisfaction. As others have mentioned the hallways are cold and the room could have updated both of which we also found to be true. The elevator was fast and we never had trouble getting to the 3rd floor. We did struggle with the sliding bathroom door which could be an issue for others needing privacy. We would stay there again.

Staff was friendly, especially the gentleman working in the luggage check. Lobby restroom was filthy and smelled of urine. I noticed a piece of gum in top of one of the urinals in lobby restroom the first day. I used that restroom again on the 4th day and the gum was still there. The room was less than decent. Deadbolt didn't lock, massive draft coming through door, and a little Walmart space heater on the counter was all room had for heat. There were no blankets on beds, but at least the 2 sheets and tiny space heater helped with the draft from the noon locking door. 3 of the 4 outlets in the room didn't work so the lamp had to be unplugged in order to charge cell phone. Toilet ran continuously which would've made it difficult to sleep had we been able to sleep with all the yelling in the hallways every night between 12-2am. I saw no security at any time which may be why all the yelling in hallways every night. If you don't want to be disgusted, I recommend not looking under the beds. Large amounts of hair, dirt and dust under beds made it obvious that like the lobby restroom, housekeeping is not a top priority in this hotel. I saw housekeeping in the hallways daily. Their setup included a bag for trash, a bag for laundry, a dirty washcloth and a single spray bottle. Location and luggage guy were pretty much the best part. Very overpriced for the condition of the hotel.

The elevator was strangely slow, given there was never another person to be seen on my floor or exiting the elevator. I paid 28.00 a night 'resort fee' for an assortment of 'amenities' I would never use _ parking, fitness center, bottles of water....when the person at the front desk was at the front desk. If you're staying for business, the room is ok but could have a better and more comfortable desk area. The a/c-heat vent is also right in the middle of the desk area which is not favorable while running a laptop. The stool is very uncomfortable for longer periods of sitting and working. Amenities are average but suffice. Again, for business travel, a full sized ironing board would be much better for use with suit jackets and button down shirts. Good location, friendly staff and with NYC's exploding high hotel rates, HYH was fair.

I closed the blinds as soon as I got to my room, mostly for privacy it felt weird having the hallway peek into my space. And sure enough, at night there was this annoying strip of light seeping in from the hall. The room's just fine. Nothing about it really stands out it felt like the furniture was straight from IKEA. The location was great for a convention I was attending at Javits Center. The employees at the front desk/bellman were extremely nice, friendly and helpful. For a Manhattan hotel room, it was a decent size compared to others Ive stayed in. CONS: The room had a LOUD portable AC unit in it that was attached by tubing to the window. There was no closet. The plastic makeshift clothes hanger that looked like it was not even IKEA quality had nothing to actually hang the clothes with until I asked the front desk the next day. No phone in the room (not a huge deal but it was just odd). TV remotes did not work until my 2nd day after I told the front desk. TV also did not have cable stations, it was all ROKU streaming and the services didnt work unless you wanted to enter your own information, or someone had used it prior and forgot to sign out. Towels were not changed daily. Property was as average as they come. Had it not been for the great people at the desk and front, probably would rate it lower. However, it also was the only property in the city at that time that was not an insane amount for a 3-night stay.

I was here for business so it was cool. But the hallways was dark & the room wasnt as clean. The rooms has windows on it that leads to the hallway which was weird. I was solo so that kind of scared me a little. The beds did have any comforter on it. The walls are so thin I could hear everything going on in the hallway. Great area to stay I walked everywhere

The positive parts about his hotel is the shared outdoor space. The rooms are dirty and falling apart. Black paint does not even cover up the age. There is no coffee on site, in the rooms or in the lobby. There are early check in charges and an insecure place to store your bag either before check in or after check out.

Run. Don’t book! This was a horrendous experience. We checked in only to find a windowless room with a bed that had two pillows, one sheet, and one top sheet—no blanket. You could literally see the springs through the sheet, and when you sat on the bed every single spring jabbed through the thin mattress cover. We’ve slept on floors, cots, even hay bales, but this felt like a medieval torture device. We requested a blanket, were promised one, but after dinner nothing was delivered. When we asked again, staff told us THIS HOTEL DOES NOT OFFER BLANKETS. Instead, they gave us two “extra sheets”—one of which was actually a rubber tablecloth. The layers did nothing; the springs still dug into us. We asked to move but were told no other rooms were available. Staff wasn’t surprised, laughed about the bed, and said, “Did you at least get two pillows?” They told us to get a refund through Orbitz. Orbitz disputed the charges, but leaves it up to the hotel and the hotel claimed that since we checked in, we were liable for both nights. Apparently, hypothetically, if you check in and discover your “room” is a prison cell, you’re stuck. Orbitz was no help—a rep even told me the listing doesn’t mention blankets, so how could I expect one? To be clear: it was the bed that drove us out, but the room was terrible and the management completely unhelpful. One star is generous.

The hotel also lacks many standard amenities such as coffee makers, hangers, irons, and telephones. When contacting the front desk, you are only connected to an AI assistant, which disconnects before completing requests. Overall, I would recommend spending a little more to stay somewhere that offers more comfort and basic conveniences.

My room flooded, twice in one day. The airconditioner didn't work. It was nearly impossible to get ahold of an employee to help me. I was up until 2am while they worked to clean and dry my room before I was able to go back in and try to get a couple of hours of sleep. They promised me a credit for the inconvenience but never gave me one. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. There are so many better options.

We really liked the location and the room we stayed in. The staff was awesome! Super nice, super helpful 👌 I had my reservations about booking a room here, reading all the reviews but honestly this was a great stay. We would definitely stay again. I believe the only minor issue I would say is an elevator was down for repairs but there was a back up so barely an issue at all. The patio for our room was awesome!

Second, what I didn't like: The A/C was inadequate. The building's A/C didn't work at all, so individual room units were installed that just didn't do the job. Also, only one of the elevators was working, which meant a long walk inside the building whenever coming or going.

I would have given the Hudson Yards a higher rating, but the room had a very strong chemical smell (likely from the cleaning staff trying to deodorize it, perhaps due to cigarette smoke). The room and bathroom were spacious and clean. Hudson Yards would also score a higher rating if their rooms had cups of any kind, and a coffee maker. These are particularly important, given there is no restaurant or breakfast room on site.

Hudson Yards staff was extremely nice and friendly. The hotel is is a great location with great access to the Hudson River jogging and bike trails. The hotel rooms are not luxurious, but I didn’t expect them to be. I’ve stayed in NYC enough to know what to expect based on what I’m paying, and in this price range I got exactly what I expected. Overall, it was a decent experience.

No comforter on bed. Room finishes a little un finished. Window AC unit that was not sealed so there was a hole into the hallway. Location is good however if you are in need for a really comfortable stay… this may not be your first option. Not the worst hotel in the city.

The best point about the hotel was the location. It was walking distance from downtown sights and the Penn Station. Quite a lot of amenities in the area. The room was clean, smelled nice, and was well lit. The bathroom was clean and with sufficient storage. There was AC and wifi. I was travelling alone, and I did not feel unsafe. The room did not have coffee/ tea in the room, the hotel also did not provide anything. One had to go out for morning coffee. I had requested an iron and an ironing board, as I had a business meeting. But it was not delivered on time, hence I had to make alternative clothing arrangements. The bed was not made the next day by housekeeping- the towels were changed, the garbage removed, and that's it. The room had no receptacle for recycles. There was a stool in the room, with loose screws, so there was no other place to sit, except the bed. Despite the tawdry appearance of the hotel, I will go and stay there again, except I will carry wrinkle free clothes.

My room was not clean upon check in. Floor was dirty, bathroom was not cleaned well, soap was used. Bed did not have a headboard and the blanket was literally a sheet. Got put into a room on the ground floor and it was so noisy and could hear people in the lobby and outside on the street, sirens blaring. I asked for a different room. They could not switch us at that time. We requested to be switched to a higher floor, but they could not because we had booked a lobby floor room, no where did it mention I booked a lobby room. We asked again and then we were told that all other rooms were booked. So which reason was it? Something tells me they lied about everything being booked. Again the new room was not fully clean, still very noisy even though they said it would be quieter. We had housekeeping clean our room, the bed was not even made, all they did was spread the blanket out and that’s it. The shower took forever to get hot and the temperature gauge was installed incorrectly so hot water was on the wrong side. There was a cockroach in the bathroom…. I understand it’s New York City but come on… all these things added up for a poor experience.

Nice hotel room and beds. Very conveniently located to the metro and along our walk gets you to Times Square People do talk through the night and the sound carries. TV did not work and no phone in room to call front desk. This goes for the area around this hotel but also all throughout Times Square and Hell's Kitchen and generally the Manhattan area is the strong smell of weed anywhere you walk. This is not a problem about the hotel but just about the neighborhood in general wreaks of the stuff.

This hotel is really nice with comfortable and lovely rooms, lovely courtyard and views, especially at night when the city lights turn on. The room has a fridge, but no microwave. There is a common one in the lobby. No water bottles in the fridge. There are cups and a water cooler in the lobby too, and I would recommend you bring a water. An ice bucket and ice upon request, but it would be great if each room had a nice bucket and there was an ice machine in the lobby too. I wish check out time was later.
