Other than that, the room had a very nice view of Times Square as advertised. We stayed on the 50th floor and they even let us check in a few hours early since the room was ready. There was a pair of socks left over from the previous guest but they did try to correct that by bringing more towels and water bottles for the inconvenience. Overall we enjoyed our stay and the hotel. I’d probably stay again.

However, photos are very misleading and it is way way overpriced. When you enter the hotel, you see the check-in desks, the elevators, and then your room. There is essentially no lobby, no comfortable common area to sit and relax, and no restaurant on-site. The only gathering space is a rooftop bar that serves very expensive cocktails. The marketing photos create the impression that the hotel offers multiple spacious common areas and a large fitness center. In reality, the gym is significantly smaller than it appears in the pictures. I specifically chose this hotel because the photos suggested it had more amenities and places to spend time outside the room, which is not the case. Given the limited amenities, I believe this hotel is substantially overpriced compared to nearby alternatives that offer similar or better accommodations at a lower cost. Overall, I feel the photos and descriptions did not accurately represent the actual guest experience.

The only thing I did not love was evacuating because the fire alarm went off but that’s okay. It didn’t hold us up too much.

The location is great and the staff are efficient. The cleaning lady was really sweet and helpful and very available. My only complaint is how expensive it is, but that is par for the course in Times Square. They tack on so many extra fees in New York City it’s really outrageous so when you think you are paying a certain amount through Expedia, it turns out to be considerably more by the time you pay all the extra fees.. It’s nice that there is a mini fridge, although the hairdryer did not work properly and the spray wand in the shower was unusable because the stand didn’t work so it just fell out when you tried to adjust it. I don’t like those overhead soaker showerheads because I don’t always want to get my hair wet. Kind of disappointed there was no bath since it was such an expensive room. Last time I paid more and stayed in a room with a view and that was a lot more exciting. The gym is really nice so that’s one of the main reasons I stay here. Overall, I came back for a reason. It’s a good hotel.

I don’t usually write reviews, but I felt that I really needed to comment on this hotel. From now on anytime I come to Times Square, I will stay at this hotel. The room, the lobby, the restaurant, the bar…. Everything was amazing. The property was so clean. The room is immaculate. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. I have absolutely nothing bad to say about this hotel. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Times Square. Easy 10 out of 10.

Unfortunately, our experience wasn’t the best. The front desk staff came across as unfriendly both over the phone and in person. When I called ahead to confirm our reservation, the interaction already felt short and unwelcoming, and that same attitude continued during our stay. The one bright spot was Luis, the doorman, who was genuinely kind, helpful, and welcoming from the moment we arrived. He honestly gave us the best customer service experience at the hotel. Overall, the hospitality from the front desk staff left a lot to be desired, and because of that, I’m not sure I would stay here again or recommend it to others.

Great place near Time Square

Perfect location with our trip planned around Time Square. Plenty of food and shopping options in walking distance. Staff was great and easy to work with regarding luggage drop off ahead of check in and early check in later in the day.

A wonderful hotel in a perfect location. And do not miss the rooftop bar with the best view in NYC!

The front reception staff was very nice. The room 808 toilet hanger was loose and didn’t flush properly. I had to open the top of the tank to adjust the water pressure. The bath shower handler came out of the shower. I stayed only one night and it was enough. Hopefully, they fix it first the next customer.

We stayed for three nights. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Room was clean. Everything worked. I would have loved a bit more water pressure, but it wasn't bad. We did not have the breakfast so we can't speak to that. We did visit the Bar 54 and I thought the view was great. Drinks were pricey, but it's Manhattan. Great location. Just around the corner from the theater where we saw a play. Easy access to subway stations. Would definitely stay here again.

Check-in was quick and efficient, check out was not.. the elevator wasn't working, had to wait 15 minutes to get downstairs, Uber had to wait as well and I was already running late for our flight. Also, no one came to grab our luggage so we had to drag everything down ourselves. Rough ending to an otherwise decent stay.

I had a wonderful stay at the Hyatt Centric Times Square New York. The location is unbeatable—right in the heart of Manhattan and within walking distance of so many attractions. The rooms were modern, clean, and surprisingly quiet for such a central spot. The staff was friendly and attentive, always ready to help with anything we needed. I especially loved the rooftop bar with its amazing city views. Overall, a comfortable and memorable stay—I would definitely come back!

Our stay was really good! The location was amazing, the facilities were great!! Our only issue was the fact we were on the 8th floor and it was SUPER noisy!! They warned us there was work going on, but the street noise was the worst we’ve ever had in 4 visits to NYC! Such a shame as the hotels location and staff were amazing.

Stayed here many times. Staff is always wonderful. Clean, but one issue--the hallway outside my room smelled like someone was cooking greasy hamburgers. Every day. First and only time I've experienced an issue at this hotel.

I highly recommend staying here. We had the best experience. The lady who checked us in was beyond kind & accommodating. This made our first impression of NY a good one. Our room was spacious and clean. The heated bathroom floors were a nice touch. Our beds were comfortable, and they had bottles of water waiting for us. The only noise that we heard was from outside, and it was NORMAL and didn't bother us. We never heard anyone above us, below us, or in the hall. It is located on a side street of Times Square, so you can use it as a starting point for anywhere you want to go. We felt safe the entire time. This trip made me a Hyatt fan, and I will stay here again. Note: There is no bathtub, which I loved, but if you have small children, that may matter. There are many places around to eat, so there were no worries about a breakfast bar. Bonus: there was a gentleman selling purses outside, which was nice for those of you wanting a good deal and not wanting to go to Canal Street.

This property was amazing! It is in the perfect locator any activity. It is in the heart of Times Square but close to several subway stations for easy access to other parts of the city.

I had a great stay at Hyatt Centric Times Square. The room was very clean and well-maintained, which made it easy to relax after a long day in the city. The room service team was excellent—friendly, prompt, and attentive to every detail. The location is incredibly convenient, right in the heart of everything, making it easy to get around and explore. Overall, a very comfortable and enjoyable experience—I would definitely stay here again.

The entire experience at Hyatt Centric Times Square New York was absolutely incredible! From requesting early check-in to the actual check-in process and the stay itself, everything was amazing. The staff were friendly and welcoming, answered all of my questions, and helped with anything I needed. Best of all, the bedroom and bathroom were spotless and very well maintained. The location was also perfect—within walking distance to just about anything you’d want to do around Times Square. I would absolutely stay here again!

The hotel was adequate and sort of pricey as the room was fairly small. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. The hotel has a great location, particularly for visitors that want to enjoy Broadway shows.

Super convenient location and the rideshare was easy as well-they were able to just stop right in front of the hotel to drop us off and pick us up. (I'm used to traveling around places like Las Vegas where there is a separate area for rideshares and can sometimes cause confusion on where to go, so being this straightforward was really nice!) The room had everything we needed and the view was great! We walked nearly 20k steps our first day and the beds were so comfy, I zonked out right away and slept great. 10/10-would definitely stay here again! :)

The room was nicely clean and with the proper attention. Thank you, Martha, our housekeeper. Nevertheless, two of the drawers were broken, and the TV was tilted and at some point we asked for service because de TV doesn’t work properly. The frontdesk staff gave the impression to be tired and grumpy.

When we arrived, there was no one there for the valet parking, which was a bit confusing on busy New York streets, but it wasn't a big deal. After seeing a musical at night, we took some pizza back to our room and ate it. I wanted to warm up the cold part, but there was no microwave in the room, so I gave up. It would have been great to have a microwave in the room.

Having left two jumpers in the wardrobe (obviously my own fault) they hand that process off to a company that holds your goods hostage and wants US$230 to ship it.

Room was very small and this is after upgrading to a suite but the staff at the hotel was awesome. Breakfast leaves something to be desired but the coffee and the cafe personnel was excellent. All and all it was a very pleasant experience.

Hotel was in a perfect location. Close to Times Square and 5th Ave. Front desk staff was excellent, friendly and very helpful. Housekeeping was always very attentive. Rooms are a good size for New York, stayed in a double queen and room was very comfortable. Bathroom was a bit small but it’s expected in New York. Overall would totally book again. Very happy with my decision to stay here. Have been to New York several times and this hotel is my favorite thus far. It has it all location, great staff, great rooms.

The hotel is fabulous and the staff is top notch. They were wonderful. Anything that we needed was instantly taken care of.. Directions, suggestions to transportation was always available and easy to find. I will be back in May and many times to come I hope. Love the Hyatt Centric ❤️

Great service from checkin to checkout. First free upgrade on room with a view. I went jogging at 6am every morning and when I returned to room by 9:30 am my room would be clean! Service was great and I would definitely come back to New York and stay at Hyatt Centric.

Shower flooded, toilet would keep filling and hissing unless you fiddled with the handle just right. They waived the resort fee(~$45) , but really they should have given me 50% off or something. I don’t know how they missed a flooding shower unless the water doesn’t have to be run. They supposedly fixed the toilet since I told them right when I checked in, but the fix did not work. The shower I found out late at night and so I didn’t want the attempted fix at 11pm. My stay was for 1 night only. Disappointing experience to be sure. Hyatt Centric is supposed to be 4 star or something.

No complaints! This is a great hotel in Times Square. The room was clean and nicely furnished. We had a partial view of Times Square which was neat. All of the staff were very friendly and polite. If you’re into the hustle and bustle, then the location is perfect. If you prefer to stay away from the craziness, then perhaps look elsewhere. But as a tourist, this was a really fun location to be in.

The staff was EXCEPTIONAL! Extremely professional and courteous. Was thrilled that we were able to get an early check in, but they also had the option to store our luggage if needed. The rooms were a nice size, the bed was extremely comfortable, the hotel was conveniently located and steps away from Times Square and the Theater district. Breakfast was wildly expensive so we did not order anything in that regard. Was also not thrilled with the additional “destination fee”… It was also not conveniently located near the airport and the Lyft was nearly $90 to the hotel and about $70 from the hotel to the airport. But, overall, it was a great choice and would definitely stay there again!

The room was extremely clean and very comfortable. My sister forgot her toothbrush and the room attendant was quick to find one for her. Also like the security of having to use your room key to operate the elevator. Would highly recommend this hotel for your stay in NYC.

Great hotel with convenient access to public transit and Times Square/Broadway. Staff was super helpful. Room was clean and comfortable. No real room service, but plenty of restaurants nearby or through GrubHub. There's also a nice market with seating adjacent to the lobby. My only (minor) complaint was breakfast - expensive takeout bags with limited options.

Great location

Located directly off Times Square, it’s perfect for walking to just about anything. Safe to say that it’s an approx 10 minute walk to Broadway, 15 min to Central Park and there are always Ubers close. Everyone is so kind during our stays and we did get to finally do the rooftop tour of the hotel which was just beautiful. The only thing I would improve are the beds, if you need a soft bed and pillows, these are not for you. The valets are great as well, and they have to somehow cram your car into a parking garage so be sure to tip them accordingly!! Love it here and plan on returning next fall :-)

This was my second time staying at this hotel. The room I stayed in was a nice size. The rooms were very clean the housekeeping staff was great. I did feel safe staying there because they check for your room key before you go upstairs. My two drawbacks are: The prices for the hotel are a bit high for there to be no amenities. What I was told to be a deposit was not refunded so I ended up being charged an extra $300. Knowing that moving forward I would stay there again.

They kept me waiting for 2.5 hours for my prepaid reservation. Together with my wife and child, we had a very exhausting check-in experience. They did honor our request for a high-floor room, but the rooms are not soundproof as they claimed—you can easily hear people coughing in the next room. Do you think it’s possible to sleep in a hotel this close to Times Square? The staff are also very irresponsible and excel at hanging up the phone in your face. They disturb you by telling you to “call hotels.com and deal with it.” I really don’t know how to explain the fact that in a hotel where you pay $500 per night, the beds are uncomfortable and you can feel the bed springs in your back.

All the staff I interacted with were WONDERFUl. Shout out to Dyana at the front desk. Housekeepers were extremely thorough and every day it was like I came back to a brand new hotel room. The view from my room was also spectacular. If you want a nice hotel in Manhattan without breaking the bank this is the one!!!

I love the convenience of this property. It’s my go to when going to the theater. The property is well maintained. The lobby smells good (yep, that's a thing). The rooms are nice and clean and big for that area of the city. The bed is comfortable. Bathroom is nice. Housekeeping is top notch. The rooftop bar is a vibe. And the donut shop across the street--I went back twice!!!

Accommodation and friends staffs

Perfect location!

When I arrived to check-in I was a bit disgruntled that the deposit due was not the same deposit both posted and I also called before hand to make sure because my balance for my stay was about $91 I am aware hotels require a security hold nevertheless I also inquired about checking in early due to my flight which I was willing to pay the $90 fee. There were 2 staffs that “helped” me at first which were not very welcoming but finally a Black lady assisted me with checking in and her service was absolutely wonderful as she wish me Happy Birthday. I also inquired that it was my birthday prior to arriving and I was told that balloons & a card will be sent to my room and to my dismay there weren’t any which is not the end of the world I just wish I hadn’t been looking forward to it. On the bright side the location was amazing right in the heart of the city it was my little home for the weekend and the rooftop bar was indeed worth visiting. I Overall enjoyed my birthday trip to New York

Great location, right on 45th at Broadway. Great staff all around and the property was very clean. We stayed on the 50th floor and the view was great!

There is a lot to like about this hotel. The beds are very comfortable. The rooms are a good size. We were on the 34th floor. We had a lovely housekeeper on our floor. She was helpful at picking up a problem the curtains without being asked. There were 2 niggles paper cups and nowhere to hang our clothes. Having said that I would probably still return if I ever get an opportunity.

The ice machine on my floor waa broken so I called the front desk to requeat ice. The guy said they were too busy and said to go to another floor to get ice. His attitude was horrible and non friendly. My son also found a roach in his room. Other than that the hotel was nice.

The manager called to apologize which was a nice gesture, but unfortunately, it doesn’t fix the underlying issues. I urged them to spend more time checking and repairing room problems, especially electrical ones, to avoid this happening to future guests. As I told the front desk in my many years of traveling this was one of the worst stays I’ve had, and certainly the only time I’ve experienced a complete blackout in a hotel room. The only positive is the excellent location.

The room was absolutely spotless. Housekeeping did an amazing job keeping everything fresh and tidy, and I appreciated the attention to detail — crisp linens, gleaming bathroom, and not a speck of dust anywhere. The décor felt modern and welcoming, and the bed was incredibly comfortable. The staff were warm, professional, and always willing to help with directions, recommendations, or anything else we needed. We also loved the rooftop bar — the view of the city at night is breathtaking. If you’re visiting New York and want a hotel that’s clean, comfortable, and in the heart of it all, I highly recommend Hyatt Centric Times Square.

Absolutely not recommended for anyone coming especially from The GCC like uae or qatar or saudi arabia its equivalent to a 3 star hotel compared to the GCC 5 stats. Also staff does not know how to smile. Always agitated frustrated and they absolutely hate their jobs. They did not bother to explain the bills and refund of 1000 usd never got refunded. Nope not 9 points definitely 6
