The hotel staff is consistently praised for being friendly, helpful, and attentive. The location is also frequently mentioned as a pro, being close to many attractions and transportation options. However, there are several complaints about the rooms, including issues with temperature control, cleanliness, and comfort. There are also a few mentions of poor management and unprofessional behavior.

AC not great, otherwise great stay

We loved our stay!! It was the perfect distance to all the different stores and sites!! The people were amazing!! We were in town for our honeymoon and they upgraded our room for free! Rooms were nice and clean! The only thing we were a little disappointed about was that we were unable to connect to any streaming services because they only had cable. Other than that. I have no complaints!!

It’s a big, clean, quiet, basic room with no frills, no room service, no on-site store to purchase a water or soda and a single-flow air conditioner (it’s either hot or cold depending on the season, no actual temperature control). Oh, and did I mention that you get all of that for over $550 midweek? Bottom line: this is an acceptable barebones $250/night hotel in any other city that gets a premium because it’s in Wall Street. If you need to be in that spot, go for it.

The mattress is so great. It's hard enough to support my low back. I have low back pain and I never experienced so good in other hotels before. I am looking forward to staying this hotel when I go to new York again.

Convenient, very clean, free breakfast and nice staff
- 1/5
No mini bar, no bar on a weekend night, and when I bought my own champagne.i couldn't even get glasses. (They told me to go to a closed restaurant upstairs and find a glass They didn't really try to be a hotel. It's like checking out at a gass station.

One of the biggest rooms in Manhattan with rainfall shower and large closet. Quiet hallways. But street noise is a problem.

Great staff and spacious rooms

I noticed a few thoughtful improvements since my last stay, including shower filters and a shower chair, which enhanced the overall guest experience. The complimentary house-baked cookies in the lobby were also a nice touch. The location is very convenient, with several subway stations just a short walk away. One area for improvement would be the cleanliness outside the hotel entrance. During my stay, I frequently noticed dog waste on the sidewalk directly in front of the property. Overall, it was a very comfortable stay, and I would definitely choose to stay here again.

We were very happy during our stay at the Hyatt Centric. It was central to our needs. We were able to walk down to the pier to explore and walk to the Brooklyn Bridge to walk across! The staff were wonderful. Our room was beautiful and comfortable. We will definitely stay here again.

It was nicely located and very clean. I like the decor. The room was very big and had a lot of room to put our stuff without feeling to cluttered. Some construction in the front but not really their problem.

Always a pleasure staying here, amazing staff property is very clean and modern.

The hotel was ok. The staff were kind. Breakfast was really good! Might not be my “go to” hotel, but it worked out well with a good deal.

Great spot close to Pier 17.

I really enjoyed my stay and is looking forward to the next time. The staff were amazing, helpful and friendly. Our room was spacious and clean.

Nice and clean. Elevators were temperamental
- 5/5
the deluxe king was a very large, modern room with huge shower and tub. location at 75 wall convenient to south street seaport amd restaurants. parking at 55 water st.
- 5/5
Overall, this hotel was really wonderful and I had a great experience staying here. The customer service was excellent, the rooms were clean and comfortable, and the atmosphere was very relaxing. The only feedback I would give is that I wish they offered room service, and it would have been nice to have a binder or booklet in the room with information about things to do in the area, nearby restaurants, and hotel amenities. Other than that, everything was great and I would definitely recommend staying here.
- 1/5
The shower door did not close properly and water leaked out of the shower and we had to clean up the pool of water. That is the last thing I was expecting to do after a long day out and we just wanted to shower and get to bed.
- 5/5
Friendly staff, beautiful room. Very accommodating. Neighborhood walkable with plenty of dining options
- 5/5
Rooms are big and spacious. I never found such spacious room hotels in Manhattan.
- 5/5
Good property, unfortunately my massage was cancelled but everyone was lovey.

Large room and great stuff
- 5/5

Loved how close it was to the Subway station on Wall St. The staff was extremely helpful and pleasant to talk to.
- 5/5
Clean room and very spacious for NYC and really well located. Staff is very responsive and helpful. A great stay!

Front desk staff is very friendly

No shades on windows! Huge issue. Very minimal amenities. No carpet, all hard floor. Only space heater in rooms, no central heat.

Clean, quiet (on a Saturday night), spacious.

Had a complementary upgrade to a suite which was lovely and very unexpected. Parts of the hotel are a little tired - the electricity went in my room. Cold breakfast options were lovely - hot was ok. Great location for a meeting I had; staying for 1 or 2 nights here are ok.
- 3/5
There is no coffee maker in the room, but they brought us one when we asked. The bathroom sink is fancy, but the spout is so close to the rim that it is challenging even to wash hands. We had breakfast in the Wall and Water restaurant, but it was quite average; terrible coffee. It's a buffet, but the tip is included by default!
- 4/5
AC didn’t work. Fridge was not cold
- 5/5
Spacious room, great shower. Will definitely stay here again.
- 5/5
Everything was really good
- 2/5
I didn’t enjoy my stay there. The room was a good size. However, the bathroom shower and tub was on one side of the bathroom. The toilet is tucked away in a corner and the bathroom vanity/ sink is open. There’s no privacy in the bathroom at all. The lobby area had a smell. It wasn’t refreshing and inviting.
- 2/5
The air condition wasn't working during our stay. There wasn't much help in providing fans or an alternative or even credit towards a future stay. It was handled very poorly.
- 1/5
Horrible Experience 0 STARS
- 5/5
Great staff!!! Great room!
- 4/5
The property location was in a great area for site seeing. It had lots of restaurants and a nice water view area to relax. The hotel was very clean and area around was quiet. The staff at the front was friendly and kind. The rooms was very spacious and clean.
- 4/5
The room was clean and staff nice. The lobby was very small and the coffee they served in the morning was NOT good
- 5/5
Location was perfect for our lower Manhattan visit. We appreciated the early check in.
- 5/5
Front desk was so kind!!
- 5/5
Beautiful room with comfortable bed. Enjoyed the stay
- 2/5
This is not a 5 star hotel. It needs a renovation. The lobby had a sewer smell, the decor is outdated and tacky, beds and pillows were uncomfortable, no coffee or tea, or water in the rooms. Room was chilly and there was a standing electric heater.
- 5/5
Our stay was made even nicer by the uniformly friendly and helpful people who work for Hyatt at this location. We recommended your hotel to family members over the weekend and they will definitely be staying at Hyatt Centric Wall Street the next time they are in New York City. In addition, the breakfast service was excellent!
- 5/5
Rooms are very spacious. Much quieter than noisy hotels in Time Square as well. The masseuse in the hotel Spa is excellent. Location is convenient and safe. Subway line is about a 4 min walk and takes you to Time Square in about 15 min. Also a 4 min walk to take a ferry taxi to Brooklyn or NJ side. Would stay here again in our next visit.
- 5/5
No hot tub was upset because expedia website had it posted
- 5/5
Excellent hotel, spacious room and a very attentive staff.

We stay here several times a year, when visiting family in Brooklyn. It’s the latest in a succession of hotels going back to the 1990s, and it meets our needs perfectly.
- 3/5
Staff was very nice at check in. Parking lot next to the hotel was extremely convenient and secure.

The gym was not available and i was not made aware of it until I went to go in the morning. They offered me to walk a few blocks to go to another gym.... no thanks... sigh. Then the heat was on with no option to do AC because it hadnt been turned on in the building... it was HOT sleeping. Sigh... wish it would've been a better experience.
- 5/5
Clean rooms would have liked to be able to have a view of anything other than trash. Breakfast was the worse. Took 1 bite of eggs & sausage they tasted nasty. I ate 1 pancake roll & a couple pieces of bacon. Paid $25 per person
- 5/5
good experience
- 4/5
Wide and spacious room with wonderful bed and a restroom. Well placed in Financial District with lots of subway nearby
- 5/5
This was a great hotel. Loved the location, the room, the people were very kind
- 5/5
Was old hotel but everythong was nice
- 1/5
That is very unlikely because I could reach the hotel.
- 3/5
When I arrived there was zero parking… no valet no decent priced garage no on street parking and the breakfast was “comped” because I told them it was my birthday. But again it was suppose to be free even if it wasn’t my birthday. Check in was smooth and easy. Room was beautiful for sure. But l just know personally I won’t be back
- 3/5
Room was clean and great. Fridge in room was good. Parking was awful. They only open from 6am till 10pm weekdays and Sunday 7am till 10pm. The deposit is ridiculous 150 per day. Bed was hard. When looking at price don't forget there is a destination fee added everyday not included with Expedia price. 45 per day. Nice hotel would stay there again just know what to expect for price.
- 5/5
Loved it all
- 4/5
The stay was nice. Room was quiet, and clean. However, when I called for towels or anything else. It was hard to get someone one the phone.
- 5/5
We had to plan our Valentine’s Day early and this place was perfect for it! Everything I had planned was a success!
- 4/5
Staff very polite and helpful, though room interiors are dated and need a refresh.
- 4/5
Great location, courteous staff, modern, parking garage right next door.
- 5/5
Great stay
- 4/5
That said, I was a bit surprised that a suite did not include robes and slippers, which would have made the stay feel a bit more complete. Also worth noting, there is no in-room coffee machine, minibar, or room service menu. If having those amenities is important to you, this might not be the best fit. However, if your priority is comfort, space, and being able to relax and soak in a hot tub after exploring the city, this hotel delivers. Overall, I enjoyed my stay and would definitely stay here again.
- 1/5
Great room. Horrible staff
- 5/5
Very clean, and good staff would go again
- 5/5
Convenient location and nice room.
- 5/5
The staff was excellent, professional and attentive. I had flowers delivered to my room, and the hotel handled the delivery smoothly and thoughtfully, which was a great touch. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone visiting NYC.
- 5/5
The room was spotless and spacious, with a lot of space, a nice view outside, and a relaxing experience.

- 5/5
Everything was excellent.
- 3/5
No restaurant, weird lighting in the rooms. Not my favorite place to stay, but the front desk staff was very courteous and helpful.
- 5/5
Love this property! Was clean, safe & staff was very friendly & accommodating. Would definitely stay here again!
- 3/5
Too humid because of No exhaust in bathroom.
- 5/5
Staff was very helpful
- 5/5
The room was was clean and large. Very comfortable.
- 5/5
Clean room, spacious room, good breakfast buffet.
- 5/5
We love these properties. Our room for one couple is great. This room for two couples is great too. Lots of room etc. except the bathroom. The frosted barn door entry and the frosted window in the shower into the bedroom area are NOT private. Women are not comfortable showering in silhouette for everyone to see. Other than that a great property,
- 5/5
Location was great. The coffee was good
- 5/5
Great location to explore Lower Manhattan from. Close to subway and NYC Ferry, so easy enough to get to other parts of Manhattan and Brooklyn too. Very friendly staff and my room was spacious and modern.
- 4/5
Room was nice though, hotel was accommodating. Location was ideal.
- 5/5
Staff were very helpful and the rooms were spacious.

- 5/5
Family room was very good. Friendly breakfast staff and very good reception staff
- 5/5
Very comfortable, clean and quiet part of NYC
- 5/5
I have to say that the front desk staff is amazing these individuals helped us on the day of our arrival we left for a week came back and helped us store our luggage until we left that night - Rooms were great, I couldn't be happier. Thank you so much, we appreciate you all.....
- 3/5
There is no Temperature control in the room. They offer portable heaters and fans. I was a little too cool at times.
- 5/5
The man who checked me in was so helpful and I loved the room!
- 5/5
We had a wonderful stay! The hotel was very clean, beautifully designed, and perfectly located for exploring the Financial District. Our room had a great view and felt both modern and comfortable. Every staff member we encountered was friendly, professional, and genuinely helpful, which made the experience even better. We would definitely stay here again! Highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Lower Manhattan!
- 5/5
Bar wasn’t open.
- 5/5
Unfortunately I didn't have the breakfast on this visit but it was very good when I did have it.
- 4/5
The restaurant was closed and no coffee available in room, which was disappointing. However, staff were helpful and friendly.

Meh
- 5/5
The hotel itself was excellent but the area around it was noisy with constructions.
- 1/5
I arrived and first thing they told us we don’t have A/C but you can open your windows. First they did not want to refund because they were going to fix it that they. Then I heard there they were like that for more than 2 days. I went to another hotel and I pass this hotel my 3rd of the trip and I look up and the rooms have the rooms open lol. Awful
- 5/5
This was chill I had my privacy and the check-in was straight forward and easy, my room was perfect I jas Poland spring water bottles waiting along with a pretty cool view from the high floor room, I’d honestly say 10/10 hotel
- 3/5
Bed was very uncomfortable. No room service, lunch or dinner options in the hotel. No microwave in the room. A tiny fridge that could not even fit leftovers. Would not recommend or stay at again.
- 5/5
Extremely gracious and efficient check in from Mildred. The room was lovely with an outstanding bathroom, lots of storage, and very comfortable bed. Hotel was ideally located for our visit to Wall Street.
- 2/5
On-site food options were poor if none. Beds in the rooms were horrible. Low to the ground and very uncomfortable. Very poor setting options in the room. Put is a loveseat or sofa in the room. There is space.
- 5/5
Great stay overall! The location is great as well, MTA and Ferry are very close by. The front desk was very friendly and helpful. I would stay here again.
- 2/5
Nice beds and room. Tried to create an account didn’t have a reservation because Expedia automatically made it for 2026. Had to rebook the room at $100 more. Nobody would help us with the TV.
- 5/5
I really liked the breakfast offered by Wall & Water, and the rooms are nicely decorated and comfortable. I’ve stayed at this hotel 3 times already and will return again.
- 5/5
Spacious, clean room with a great bathroom ( deep soak tub, rainfall shower) sink area and commode all separate, very comfortable king bed. We’ve stayed here many times and it never disappoints.
- 5/5
We stayed for one night. Staff was friendly and responsive. No issues with noise. Lots of great places to eat nearby. Close to the Piers and Brooklyn Bridge.
- 5/5
I love this hotel. The room was spacious clean and modern. I usually have a hard time with hotels and cleanliness, but I felt very comfortable here we had tickets to a dinner cruise on Pier 36 and we were able to walk from this location. they had water bottles for us, complementary coffee in the morning and a very, very comfortable bed. The shower is so spacious. It really is a step up from an average room. I would definitely stay there again.
- 4/5
great place
- 3/5
Nice!
- 5/5
Greatly recommended
- 5/5
I had a great time in the Wall St area. I enjoyed local bars and restaurants that located a short walk from the hotel.
- 5/5
Very friendly staff very nice room very helpful
- 1/5
* I was surprised there was no coffee in the room. I stayed before and I thought you had this. *My coworker thought the bed was too hard. I thought it was ok. *The room size is good. You have good fundamentals. I don't know if I will come back. Honestly the soap issue was kinda unforgivable. Having to get out of the shower, wet, to call the staff for soap was annoying.
- 5/5
We had a perfect stay
- 3/5
The financial district location is awesome. The room is very spacious. It needs some updating. Flooring was lifting in places, faucet was stuck, some corners near the bathroom were funky, just felt a little worn. The bed was not comfortable. It is always subjective but bed was very hard. Not bad but not up to the Hyatt standard. Just needs a deep clean and freshen up
- 5/5
Perfect rooms and location
- 4/5
The location of the property is perfect, right near the waterfront. The rooms are large and clean and the bathrooms have amazing rainfall showers.
- 5/5
Person at check in was great
- 5/5
Best hotel we have stayed in during trips to NYC. Clean, spacious and wonderful staff. Highly recommend!
- 5/5
right near the water and many attractions
- 4/5
We enjoyed it Pillows are very very very soft ( not used to it )
- 5/5
Enjoyed our stay! Very friendly cleanly hotel with great service and breakfast buffet.
- 2/5
No air conditioning in this hotel. Made it extremely uncomfortable to stay. Can’t believe we didn’t get any discount offered
- 5/5
We had a great stay at Hyatt Centric Wall Street. Our room was clean and felt high end and luxurious. Staff was courteous and productive.
- 5/5
The location, cleanliness, view…wonderful! Kelsi at the front desk made checkin and all of my tourist questions fun, warm, and welcoming!
- 4/5
Breakfast was not as good as expected given the price and quality. All the items were overcooked and there was no milk. We had better at Hyatt Place in Boston/Medford. Parking is not onsite, but is available in the nearby parking garage. One interesting observation. We arrived with over 200 miles before empty, but it only had about 140 miles left when I took the car out after parking for 4 days.
- 4/5
They had initially mentioned that the rollaway bed was $50 for the entire stay but then they charged $50 per day, which was a disconnect.
- 5/5
The hotel is very modern and grand. The staff were friendly and the rooms were clean. The only complaint was that the beds were so hard and uncomfortable and the pillows were awful. There is also a window in the shower that goes into the sleeping area. This made it a little awkward during shower time, especially with my 14 year old son being on the other side of the window. The window needs a curtain for family/friend staying together. Yes you can see through the window.
- 3/5
It is clean but needs to be remodeled.
- 5/5
Great place to stay! Nice area, very clean hotel with friendly staff. Large rooms!
- 2/5
Almost as soon as we checked in, we had to switch rooms due to the shower backing up. We requested two shirts of ours to be laundered, and they were just ironed and placed on garments bags, yet we were charged for it. The hotel doesn’t offer free parking for those who choose to drive.
- 4/5
The room was a very nice size, but there was some kind of caulk on the bathtub and clear mismatch paint in the bathroom that made what should have been a nice hotel feel more dingy. It wasn’t bad but it wasn’t a nice as it could have been if the maintenance staff took better care of the place. The devil is in the details!
- 5/5
The hotel was very nice. Very clean
- 2/5
Air conditioning was out throughout entire stay
- 5/5
Good area
- 1/5
There is no Air condition
- 3/5
So this place markets itself as an upmarket hotel. Whilst it looks the part in a way, the experience is somewhat low rent. This is for one main reason - the staff! The ones we encountered were little short of rude. Really unfriendly bunch that sadly brings the whole hotel down. Hyatt need to send a team in to sort out the management and front of house staff. That said the cleaners were really nice 😊 A lot of NY hotels are a bit like this so Hyatt Centric isn't alone, but you'd think senior management at HQ would get this sorted - it's not hard - just employ friendly customer focussed staff!
- 5/5
Very clean and large rooms
- 4/5
Great hotel. Just the area was very quiet on the weekend. More of a week day area
- 4/5
The rooms were large and really nice but there was an issue with the air conditioning. I hope they straighten it out before the summer. Luckily Wally who was on duty opened our window and brought us a fan.
- 1/5
When I checked in the ac wasn't working but that was not shared with me. After a walk around the block after a 12 hour drive to NYC I learned that the room on the 16th floor had no AC. I was in town for a meeting the next day
- 4/5
It was an unusually cold memorial day weekend in New York City. When we called for extra blankets at night, no one picked up the phone and we had to eventually walk to the front desk to request extra blankets. We were told that we could only get one extra blanket and they eventually gave us two, but they were rather flimsy and old looking.
- 5/5
Beautiful rooms, great location !
- 5/5
Everyone was extremely professional and friendly and took extra steps to create an enjoyable experience for our young children.
- 5/5
The stay was amazing and location is an advantage with walking distance to restaurants and subway.
- 5/5
The room was beautiful and a lot quieter than I anticipated based on the location.
- 5/5
Nice property friendly staff
- 5/5
NIce property. The staff was very accommodating and friendly. Enjoyed my stay!!
- 5/5

- 3/5
The staff are not very responsive. I asked for an extra blanket on my final night there and even after contacting the concierge twice, no one came up to bring it.
- 5/5
Great
- 1/5
Their only suggested solutions were to open the windows for fresh air (which barely open half an inch) or call down for a fan if the room became too hot. Our room was immediately stuffy and uncomfortably warm. When we called for a fan, we were told we’d be added to a waitlist—no fans were available. If the hotel knew the AC was down heading into summer, they should have taken proactive steps, like ordering enough fans for every room. Instead, they chose not to communicate the issue in advance and offered no real remedy upon arrival. This stay felt deceptive and careless. Would not recommend, and we won’t be returning.
- 4/5
Unfortunately, the air conditioning was not working at the hotel.
- 2/5
No ac… couldn’t sleep..
- 4/5
I really enjoyed my stay here except the AC was not working and I had to call to have the TV fixed. But the service was very good and the room was very nice!
- 5/5
Great
- 5/5
Clean and quiet, great location.
- 3/5
Very basic hotel..gym is poor, no real amenities or extras.
- 5/5
Property is really nice and clean and everyone is friendly. Rooms are super spacious! Property is just dated. It’s obviously been around a while and though it’s clean, you can see the wall paper peeling, features in the room not working and needing to be taped together, or grout overload in the showers, and chipped or damaged furniture. Overall nice but wouldn't say it’s a 5 star. Maybe a 4.
- 1/5
This hotel should be closed and have a top to bottom renovation. The biggest issue is that property advertises that they have an AC but in reality they don’t. It is an old system and not functioning. They know this but still advertise the property with individual air conditioning in the rooms . They simply lie! They don’t give you the option to check out early and change hotels. Desperately trying to generate some money . If you don’t mind hot rooms to sleep in Hyatt Centric Wallstreet is depending on what a overnight costs a good deal but for many reasons I would avoid this property
- 5/5
Excellent location and very clean facilities. Great service and friendly staffs!
- 5/5
Excellent hotel with lots of dining nearby. Early check in thanks to Cassie. Would stay again and recommend to friends.

Quiet area of town--couldn't hear anything while sleeping, large room and bathroom, close to transportation and some food options. Took some time to get uptown but it felt relaxing to come back to a quieter area of the city.

It's close to my office and the area is relatively safe.

Incredible stay. Free birthday upgrade offered because we were in town for my birthday. Beautiful suite and friendly staff. Room was excellent with an amazing spa bathtub. Was very happy with my room and treatment from staff. Also central location to Wall Street.

Great area to stay in Manhattan. Walkable to plenty of attractions or for subway lines elsewhere in the city.

First of all, we only stayed one night and were charged $300 incidentals. We travel a lot and have visited many hotels, and this rate is unheard of! Second, we were told that there would be complimentary coffee and water - none of which was true. Apparently the coffeemaker was 'broken'. Instead of offering us coffee in their breakfast restaurant, we were just shrugged off. I would not recommend to anyone to stay at this hotel.

It was a perfect spot for our family and the staff was incredibly friendly. My 4 year old and 6 year old loved the spacious room.

TG they provided slippers. No staff seen except for the desk person. Anyone could have walked in and got access to the elevator
