Reviews
The hotel is praised for its central location, cleanliness, and friendly staff. The unique pod-style rooms offer privacy, but their small size and lack of soundproofing are common complaints. The hotel's affordability and proximity to public transportation make it a popular choice for solo travelers.

The location, fruits, and toast are good. This is a vegetarian place. They made me throw my food and mentioned that chicken was cursed or something like this. It does not look like the photos. You can even hear people's farts next to you. It's not even a 2 by 2 space; it's more like a 190 by 120.

Super friendly and accommodating staff. It’s fine for what it costs, can’t knock it for anything. Definitely not accessible if you have mobility issues.

Good for a short stay 2-3 days The location is easy to access The restroom are always clean It wasn’t comfortable that it is mixed genders, even though I know the rooms are small they were even smaller than expected

It was pretty Cool. Kitchen is available throughout the day. Overall nice and clean place to saty. The most important thing are the small but separate PODs which provide you complete privacy. Toilet area could be improved, in terms of space and number of toilets.

The staff was nice, they cleaned the toilets/showers, i think, a few times a day. At least it seemed like that. The room is small but it totally works out!

Interfaith Retreats was a great option for my trip - I was arriving early and needed a one-night solo stay to fill the gap of our group's reservation. It was a super short walk from the train station and the staff were all very friendly. The rooms are private and small - about the size of 1.5 twin beds - but thoughtfully designed with plenty of storage space under the bed for luggage, an adjustable lamp with a USB charger, a plug, hooks for jackets or backpacks, and they provided earplugs and towels and had a fan available to use. The pillows were actually a bit better than standard hotel pillows, which was a pleasant surprise! Each room is open to the ceiling so noise definitely travels between rooms but on the whole other guests were quiet and courteous. The temperature control was also pretty good - it was a bit on the warm side but overall comfortable. The room locks, as does access to each floor, and the keys you're provided will buzz you into the building, open both floors, and open your own room, so security was well-thought out. The bathroom was a separate room and the stalls were narrow but functional. They had apples and bananas, bagels, breads and nut butters available for breakfast or to eat anytime, which was perfect for me. There wasn't any shampoo/conditioner in the shower I used and the shower was also not in a separate room from the rooms on my floor, so it felt like I'd probably wake up other guests if I showered (I got in pretty late). A lot of the apples were also pretty bruised up, but I couldn't say if that was because of guests or not.

Very pleasant staff and guests, which was great because there is no acoustical privacy. The small visually private cell has no ceiling, and is one of a couple of dozen sharing a large room with a communal eating area. Guests were private; except someone who walked around with heavy steps till 2am. noise till late. bed was just big enough and I'm only 5'8"..

Central, about 100 meters from Penn Station. I Literally rolled my 3 bags there on my departure I needed convenient accommodation for 20 hrs and it delivered just that. I cannot fault this place on anything based on my short stay.

It has a great location, you have very close access to everything and you can walk to most places. The staff is very friendly and you enjoy talking to them. It is a very intimate and friendly environment. The only problem is the noise when sleeping. If the people whose rooms are close to yours are inconsiderate, it can be very annoying. Of course, if someone does not observe the night silence rule and you inform the reception, they will follow up quickly.

The hotel is very well located- close to Penn Station and subway. It was good value for money- rooms are very small but clean and with comfortable beds. It has everything that's needed for short stay- towels, hair dryer, even ear plugs! And there was a simple breakfast available. You can hear every noise so if you are a light sleeper it can be hard. Although during my stay everyone tried to be quiet and there were ear plugs so there was no problem for me.

Great communication, super nice staff (very reactive). Price is almost unmatchable, especially in New York.

When I arrived, I was asked not to bring dead animals (meat) to the sacred place. But honestly, how can you consider yourselves people of faith if you treat people worse than animals? Greed is also a sin. I was given a room that was far too small. The mattress didn’t even fit the bed properly, and I am only 168 cm (5'5") tall. When I asked to change to a bigger room that would actually fit my height, they didn’t take any action. The only comment I got from them „apparently the guy you were talking to about the room problem didn’t say anything”. As a result, I couldn’t sleep properly for half of my stay. The toilet was flooded, and you could literally see poop pouring onto the floor. Walking into the bathroom meant risking stepping in it. The only pleasant part of my stay was the sweetheart Yana, who kindly gave me a bigger room ❤️ Her scones were also delicious.

It was adequate, the facilities were basic as expected. Having the honour of feeding the homeless one day. Great location. Not being able to talk to other guests during the day without being told to be quiet. Having a member of staff barge in to my pod in the middle of the night, waking me from a deep sleep and shine a torch in my face because she thought I was snoring.

One of the best hostels I've visited! The staff was very friendly and welcoming, always helpful. Rooms are very small, so probably not great if you are tall, but for me it was more than worth it for the privacy. I was afraid of noise since the ceilings are open, but I was mostly lucky for considerate people and especially with noise-cancelling headphones it's okay. Would recommend for any solo-travellers who don't mind compromising for a good deal!

This was an amazing find, the beauty of this place is the location and the bathrooms, 2nd floor has 3 toilets a 2 showers, the staff puts out toiletries including razors and pads. Something to consider is that you hear everything, most people understand that and keep the volume to the minimum and others don’t and still are loud.

It is so close to Times Square, fifth avenue. And easy to reach from airport and clean, nice stuff When u sleep you can see the snooring and spme sounds from the other cubics coz it is open roofs on top. But people are very nice about silence

Stayed for 1 night and it was perfect! Loved the quiet time hours, set a relaxing mood after the craziness of what NYC offers. A good reset. Traveled alone and never felt discomfort.

Location is good. Staff is really nice. Place is clean. Breakfast is good, too. My room was on the second floor, across from the bathroom. Whenever someone goes up to the second floor, the doors slam very loudly, and I wake up every time. I think no one on the floor was able to sleep.

I had 3-night stay at Interfaith Retreats on the 3rd floor, and it quickly became one of my favorite spots in the area. What sold me right away was its unbeatable location—it's an easy, walkable stroll from Penn Station, ideal for unwinding after exploring NYC, I only grabbed breakfast there once (my bad—I totally forgot they offered it!), but it was good: fresh sandwiches, a hot cup of coffee, and some tasty cookies Bathrooms bit away from my room,

Very interesting and refreshing that the rules include as of vegetarian space... The bathrooms are not necessarily friendly for people.Six feet tall or taller like myself.. get\nUsed to ducking before entering the bathroom stall, lest ye get bonked? I don't need their towels because I bring my own for laundry detergent allergy purposes... i wish there was a way to hand back the towels provided so that small but significant amount of energy and water are saved...?

Location Very noisy, staff wakes people who snore, and they woke me up every night when awakening other guests (I don't snore). I'm 6ft tall and I could barely fit in the bed. It's much narrower than a regular twin bed.

Regarding the amenities, everything was clean, and the staff were very helpful, kind, and friendly. However, I only stayed one night and it was quite noisy, so if you are a light sleeper, you may want to consider using earplugs.
