Reviews
The Lotte NYP hotel is generally well-liked for its excellent location, beautiful amenities, and friendly staff. However, some guests have noted that the rooms are starting to look shabby and in need of updating, and there have been some issues with cleanliness and maintenance.

A beautiful hotel with amazing staff!

Nice but pricey
- 5/5
2nd time staying here and will not stay anywhere else when we come to NYC from now on. The hotel is immaculate and staff are outstanding and very helpful. So close to everything and if not the subway is a block away. We walked to the theatre district twice for shows in less time than a cab/Uber would’ve taken with the traffic congestion. The bars have everything including very high end liquors and the outside courtyard bar is fabulous for summer.

Great hotel!
- 5/5
Excellent all the way around
- 3/5
Chose the hotel primarily for its location. Close to 5th Avenue but a lot quieter than hotels around Time Square. The main positive was that, without exception, staff were great throughout the stay. The reasons for not scoring higher were the rather limited facilities in the hotel given its size (e.g. only one dining option and only for breakfast) and the rooms which were tired and badly in need of modernisation. Clunky showers over a bathtub with horrible shower curtains and the absence of safety handrails or anti slip mats, unfathomably low toilet, tired looking decor, furniture and carpets, no coffee making facilities and sketchy wifi all contributed to a sense that, despite the excellent location, this hotel had fallen behind the times and doesn't, despite its location, justify the room price.
- 4.5/5
Good location and decent size rooms for the price I stay here 3-4 times a year and have done for many years. The hotel never remembers I have stayed there and it would be nice if they recognised loyalty.
- 5/5
Beautiful hotel with friendly staff in a convenient location!
- 4/5
The view from our room was excellent !
- 5/5
Would definitely stay there again. Only complaint is no coffee maker in room.
- 4/5
Everything good
- 4/5
Nice gym
- 5/5
Very happy with our stay. The bathrooms are very clean, the staff is very helpful and the location is perfect. We have stayed at this hotel many times over the years and it remains one of our favorites.
- 5/5
The Rarities bar is a lovely place to share a first-rate bottle of wine
- 5/5
Excellent location, across from St. Patricks, next to Saks, easy walk to Grand Central, Starbucks across the corner and a .5mile quick run to Central Park for runners. The gym was small, with not enough mats or weights. It fills up with 4 people and there are a lot of guests who want to use the gym.
- 5/5
I love this hotel
- 5/5
Todo muy lindo super ubicacion el breakfast super expensive ,
- 5/5
It would be great to have a coffee machine in each room.
- 5/5
This is a fantastic property! Beautiful with a perfect location. Their front was very short staffed and swamped when we were there- long lines but hopefully it was just because it was graduation weekend. Will stay there again and again!
- 4/5
Room- the front door had a hole on the bottom. Front desk check in - very accommodating and felt sincere welcoming. Cleaning crew- nicely done and pleasant when meet on the hallway Bell boys - many times we were in and out never got the greetings or even offer to help with luggage. Inside the Iron gate way- we were sitting out and homeless came up to the next chair and park himself to sleep during the day. HOTEL- is beautiful! I wished we had little tighter security.
- 5/5
I’ve been visiting NYC for decades, and this hotel has been my favorite overall!
- 5/5
Amazing per usual
- 5/5
Great service! Great location and beautiful historical look inside the hotel! Love it!
- 4/5
Exceptional hotel in a great location. Very expensive. No coffee maker in room. Person checking me in had no idea what my Silver Expedia benefit was and I never found out.
- 5/5
The common areas and our room were immaculate and well appointed. Negatives included a long line for checking in and lack of options for breakfast.
- 5/5
Excellent room. I had the cathedral view of st Patrick’s Excellent location. Amazing bar in the gold room
- 5/5
Clean room, nice helpful staff, perfect location
- 3/5
Way too old rooms... Need URGENT update.
- 5/5
We now have a new New York place to stay. Beautiful hotel with a pleasant staff and a perfect location.
- 3/5
With the exception of Denise at front desk who was very helpful, the other staff we dealt with seemed like they were doing us a huge favor by asking them anything, very strange. We had 2 double beds in our room and the beds looked like what you expect at motel 6. They were tiny, bumpy, thin comforters, and only 2 skinny pillows per bed. Just cutting corners on decor. The size of the room is decent but just feels very dated. Another issue this hotel has is that there's no restaurant for lunch, only a tiny cafe so if you arrive in odd hours, you can't eat there. This is categorized as a 5 star hotel but it feels more like 4 Stars.
- 5/5
My go to hotel when staying in Manhattan. One of the better locations and nice size rooms for New York. Will for sure stay here again
- 5/5
Exceptional
- 3/5
The hotel is in great need of a renovation. The rooms, hallways, bathrooms are all very tired and look old and a bit dirty. ... The hotel hosts conferences so during the week you should expect very full and very slow elevators. ... At this price point there are plenty of better places to stay. I will not be returning.
- 4/5
Like the location. Like that it’s well appointed and clean Would ve liked more choices of restaurants to eat inside the hotel Only a store with sandwiches open at some times of day.

Good location. Noise level was quiet. Do not stay here if you don’t have time to wait for elevators multiple times a day for 20-30 minutes. It appeared that they only had 1-2 working for far too many guests. Rooms are old and worn down. Very tired for the high prices.
- 3/5
Very good location, and Hotel was fine but more tailored to Business Conference attendees rather than paying guests
- 5/5
Clean spacious room.
- 5/5
I liked how close it was to rockerfeller plaza and subways.
- 5/5
By far the best hotel, central to many touristy places and places to eat. Staff is friendly and always a great place to stay.

great location and staff rooms very nice
- 5/5
From the moment we arrived, everything felt seamless and welcoming. The setting is simply stunning—classic New York elegance with that iconic courtyard that never loses its charm. Our room was beautiful, comfortable, and a perfect retreat after full days exploring the city. What really stood out was the service. Every interaction felt genuine and thoughtful, and they made the experience feel special for both of us. It was the perfect place to create memories on her first NYC trip. I’m happy to say it absolutely did not disappoint. If anything, it reminded me why I loved it so much in the first place—and why I’ll definitely be back again.
- 5/5
Great location, great size rooms, comfortable and updated interior, excellent service from check-in to check-out and in between

Good hotel
- 1/5
I ended up with some incredibly loud women next to mine who were partying all night. When I told the hotel to ask them to keep their voices down at midnight, they just told me to be patient because it was someone's birthday. I went to this hotel for 17 years of my life and then stopped going for 10. And it's still the same as it was 27 years ago, everything the same: curtains, beds, headboards, paint, old and old. Disappointing
- 5/5
Tower rooms were very impressive
- 5/5
It was a great place to stay!!!
- 5/5
It was a truly wonderful experience. The hotel is beautiful, the staff warm and attentive, and the location simply unbeatable. Room service was prompt, and the food was absolutely delicious. I would highly recommend this hotel for your next stay!
- 4/5
No coffee in the rooms
- 5/5
We stayed for a long weekend for my daughter's 16th birthday. The accommodations were wonderful and the staff were great. She enjoyed her time at the spa and salon. The location was perfect, easy access to everything you would want.
- 4/5
The room is spacious but definitely needs renovation.
- 5/5
Perfectly located with helpful team members and great rooms. Clean and comfortable. Nice bar and great ambience. Definitely stay there again

- 2/5
Huge shame this used to be a great hotel and our ‘go to’ hotel in New York. Been a few years since last stay and it standards have gone down enormously. Still great location and room sizes large BUT rooms very tired looking, no coffee/ tea in room. Took over an hour to get room service to bring kettle up. Check in took 25 mins (at 1.00am) no offer of porter to take bags. AND silliest of things, hotel provide 2 very small bottles of water for first night BUT not for any other nights of the stay - very strange! All in all as we have a choice, regretfully wont be using this hotel again, there are too many others which have a better offering
- 5/5
We loved the location, the atmosphere and the whole experience.
- 5/5
This was a lovely place to stay. Despite being in NY the room was quiet and big and luxurious. The quality of linens and towels was great. My only complaint would be that there was a big line to check in and check out. They should have more staff at the desk. Otherwise great location and stay
- 5/5
Location! Location! Location!
- 5/5
Perfect stay!
- 5/5
Fantastic. Great staff!
- 5/5
Everything was great but the staff is the best part! Everyone (especially the doormen) is very kind, which makes your stay even better. Very good location as well and the rooms are perfect, including the view
- 4/5
I loved the hotel experience itself. The facilities were beautiful, the room was comfortable and extremely clean, and the staff were wonderful. I can't give a full 5-star review because I was charged for a bottle of wine that I neither asked for, received, nor charged to the room. I discovered this after leaving - we were late for our flight and had to rush - and I called within a few hours to dispute the charge, leaving a message. I subsequently called again and sent two email messages to accounts receivable - and as of today, six weeks later, I have not received a single response. I'm quite disappointed, as every other part of the experience was wonderful. But I do think the property owes their guests the decency of a response to billing inquiries.
- 5/5
Excellent location good ambiance
- 1/5
Right from the start, there were issues with the room. The shower wasn’t properly draining, which made it inconvenient to use, and to make matters worse, the shower head was malfunctioning and spraying water in an uncontrolled way. It made what should have been a simple, relaxing experience frustrating instead. The most concerning part of our stay, however, was when security attempted to enter our room unannounced. Thankfully, they were unable to get in due to the safety hatch on the door, but the situation was unsettling and unacceptable. When we brought this to the attention of the hotel staff, they showed little interest in addressing the seriousness of the issue. We were told someone would follow up with us, but no one ever did. Overall, the lack of responsiveness and concern from the staff, combined with the maintenance issues and the alarming security incident, left us extremely disappointed. We will not be staying here again in the future

- 5/5
This is a comfortable and accommodating luxurious hotel ideally situated for us across the street from St. Patrick Cathedral and within walking distance of great restaurants and Broadway shows. We will return here on our next visit to NYC.
- 4/5
Room was clean but shower was terrible, draining issues( were sorted next day up to a limit), using shower was tricky, all three the tap, hand held shower and rain shower work together or only hand held, we found setting pretty unfriendly. For Brits: no tea facilities in the room. Staff was good, a separate fridge was provided so if you don’t want to use mini bar then still have a chance to keep your drinks nice and cooler.
- 5/5
Great location. Michael really helped us get settled early
- 5/5
Large room with a cathedral view.
- 1/5
We have been staying at the New York place for 31 years. The rooms are shabby and tired. The wall paper is peeling off the walls. Rugs are horrible . It has become a 3 star hotel
- 5/5

We had a wonderful visit at this nostalgic hotel. The staff was excellent. Fantastic location.
- 4/5
Room, location and view are first rate.
- 5/5
Rooms need smart TVs and refrigerators. Service is amazing
- 5/5
I didn't like the auto 20% gratuity at the restaurant, but the food was good if not over priced. Cleaning staff was great.
- 5/5
We like the side of the room. We appreciate the view, the location, and the fact that it’s situated in the heart of Manhattan on Madison.
- 3/5
Floor I was on was under construction. Cracked ceilings
- 5/5
It’s the perfect place to stay. It’s right in the heart of the city and 2 blocks from Rockefeller. It’s very easy to see Broadway shows and the typical tourist attractions. The staff and concierge are wonderful and knowledgeable! We stayed for my mom’s birthday and they sent up complimentary macaroons and a birthday card! 10/10 recommend!
- 5/5
Our Favorite hotel in the city.
- 4/5
Staff not nice at all. Only the housekeeping ladies are very nice. Staff at front desk is poor
- 4/5
However, the check-in was too slow for a property of this quality. Also, the property texted me and asked if I needed anything, and I requested a mini fridge. The reply was that it would be delivered to my room, but it never was. It’s not a problem if there wasn’t one available, the problem was the unkept promise (and failure to follow-up). Finally, there was an unexpected charge to my credit card that I am waiting to have resolved. I expect it will be fixed, but again a property like this should not have such problems. I have stayed at a great many hotels in Manhattan and I have rarely had such a litany of issues, though admittedly in this case none were that big a deal.
- 5/5
Staff are amazing. The room and bathroom were spacious and we enjoyed the view on the 39th floor.
- 5/5
Love this hotel! Great as always!!

They didnt wanted to send me a cofee machine. The cleaness very poor they didnt clean the mirrors. Sometimes they didnt leave the full set of towels in the barhroom. When I cslled to the reception the personal was rude.
- 5/5
Enjoyed the property
- 4/5
A lovely, iconic property in a great location for restaurants, theater, sightseeing. Hotel was in the process of starting a new reservation system, was seriously unprepared for it, and significantly understaffed causing delays at check in that were incredibly long. It took us 2 visits to the front desk and 90 minutes before getting access to our rooms. Excusing mistakes and software glitches is one thing, but the staff did not deal with it well. They apologized profusely and repeatedly, but no other response. For example, no offer of water or a drink while in line, no offer of a breakfast or a coffee for our trouble; no offer of a drink in the bar, etc. For the price of a room ($800+), one expects a bit more respect and responsiveness. Kudos to Henry (valet/bellman) and Medy (concierge desk) who were most helpful and apologetic.
- 2/5
In line one hour to check in. Billing errors took four trips to the counter to correct. I was given a $200 inconvenience voucher for use on the property just before I checked out, so it was of little use. Service here is a mess right now. After years of loyalty to the Palace, I doubt I'll stay there again. Not the same place any more

Clean spacious room, friendly staff
- 1/5
The front desk staff was very rude. Never wanted to help. There was always a long line for the front desk. I called for room service and asked a question, and the woman on the line was very rude. I had accidentally locked myself out of my room, and front desk had a long line, no one else wanted to help and were very rude. When I checked out received several charges that I did not make on my credit card bill and when I called the hotel the lady said she was very busy and couldn't tell me what the charges were for. I had to call back 3 times before getting help. I left strollers to be returned to stroller rental company that picks them up. They told the stroller company they didnt have them. I had to call and they did indeed have the strollers. Bottom line I loved the hotel, the ball men/ door greeters were all exceptionally kind. It's just sad a beautiful hotel as this one has terrible service and unfriendly staff that doesnt want to help.

Great location-tremendous staff -makes us feel welcome and valued each time
- 5/5
Beautiful hotel and great staff. Perfect location. Be aware of prices in the gold room restaurant.

The rooms of the Lotte desperately need to be updated. The hotel exterior is beautiful and the location can’t be beat. Most of the staff was really lovely as well.

Attentive staff, cleanliness, ease of check-in and check-out.
- 4/5
The bellmen are wonderful. There is a terrible man at the reservation desk. He was very condescending as we requested a 2pm check out during the Winter Storm. We were told the night before there shouldn’t be a problem and when we asked in person the man talked to us like scum and said it would be 150$. We packed up during the storm and left in a taxi as soon as possible for a different hotel. On a high note, housekeeping was amazing and incredibly kind.
- 5/5
Epitome of excellence is how I would describe the Lotte New York Palace. The service and the amenities is outstanding. I will be coming back for my next reservation.

I liked the location. Room was outdated and horrible for a 5 star hotel, no coffee machine or kettle in room. Bath amenities were not there, sub standard for such hotel and price. Breakfast was totally overpriced we pai $200 for breakfast for 2. $12 for coffee is a joke.
- 5/5
Great service in every area. Check in , bell staff and restaurant . I love the towers as the rooms are wonderful !!
- 5/5

Room is outdated in appliance. No refill of the minibar. Bad quality of breakfast. Only one bar open for eating.
- 5/5
I did not have breakfast.
- 5/5
amazing experience and stay as always
- 3/5
Bed and bedding was very comfortable and fresh. Room was spacious. Was disappointed with the bathroom. Dark, small and lacked counter/storage space. The location was great!
- 5/5
The only area for improvement would be the elevators. Although there are multiple elevators, there was frequent waiting, they filled quickly, and they made many stops, which could be frustrating during peak times. That said, it wouldn’t stop us from staying again. A wonderful hotel in a prime location with just a small logistical hiccup.
- 5/5
Amazing hotel, spent Christmas which was just magical. My only gripe was all the tourists coming inside to have photos taken so if you wanted to just sit down in the lobby area it was impossible
- 5/5
Staff was wonderful, hotel was beautiful and super clean. Save area and great location!
- 3/5
They charge $15 per day for internet. This is year 2026. It should be included.
- 5/5
Great staff all around! Beautifully decorated for the holidays. Nice, long and spacious room directly overlooking St Patrick’s Cathedral. Very centrally located!
- 5/5
2 suggestions: More tables and chairs are needed in the main meeting area on the lobby floor. Also, more than two small complimentary bottles of water should be placed in the hotel rooms when guests are spending more than one night. Thank you! I
- 2.5/5
The location was great, and there were areas of the main entrance that were pretty. The staff in the cafe and the outdoor holiday area were very nice. The room was sparse and unimpressive, particularly compared to the cost. We were on the top floor - the view was cool but the novelty was fleeting. The front desk staff were brusque, and we were abruptly told one of the restaurants was “closed” by a waiter immediately after the bartender told us to sit at a table for a menu, which was awkward. In short, I’ve stayed in far better rooms (with just as striking a view but better accommodations) in Manhattan for the same or less money. Just not what you’d expect from a hotel that calls itself a “palace.”
- 5/5
Excellent location, great view of St Patrick’s, and breathtaking at Christmas time
- 4/5
Just wish WiFi was included.
- 4/5
Overall a good stay
- 5/5
I really we love this hotel so beautiful!!
- 3/5
Bathroom in our room was dirty, two big clumps of hair stuck on the shower wall. They also added a fee for an item being removed from the mini fridge. We did not even open the fridge during our stay. Thankfully we checked out at the desk and had the charge removed. Overall, a little disappointing for the cost of the stay. However, the doormen were top notch and very helpful.
- 5/5
Great location, staff was attentive and prompt when we needed assistance!
- 4/5
Check in/out was a bit of a mess. Not enough staff and unorganized. Rooms view of Cathedral was great. Exactly as promised. Would I return, yes but Golden Room was a disappointment. Staff disorganized (again). To me this shows lack of leadership in management throughout hotel. Nothing horrible, but you expect a higher standard at higher prices.
- 3/5
Service, rooms, staff attitude. Just not the same hotel it was a couple of years ago. We noticed it last year when we came and this year it was worse. Won’t be coming back after 9 years coming to the palace this weekend
- 5/5
Overall it was very nice & memorable stay.
- 5/5
It was truly a great experience. The staff were all friendly and courteous. The room was amazing with a gorgeous view of St. Patrick’s cathedral. Dining and room service were wonderful! The spa was a gorgeous facility with a great staff. We were in close proximity to Rockefeller Center, Radio City Music Hall, and Time Square; tons of restaurants and shopping. I can not say enough good things about Lotte NYC Palace.
- 5/5
We had a lovely stay. The staff was extremely accommodating and helpful!
- 5/5
Beautiful hotel especially at Christmas time.Staff and service was great!
- 3/5
Rooms were mediocre, and no sound proof. I could hear normal voices of next room family as if they were in my room. The biggest issue occurred when we checked in. They had wrong dates for stay (1 day earlier than what I requested and marked as "no show"). I showed my reservation and receipt upon check in from Expedia clearly stating check in I was checking in (not the 25th, it was for the 26th through the 29th). Few issues, (1) still they were going to charge me for the "no show" and said I was supposed to check out one day earlier than my actual reservation from Expedia, (2) also they were going to charge me higher rate than what Expedia had given, (3) even after having manager looking at the receipt from Expedia, they said they "took care of it" with yet wrong charges when I was checking out. Luckily I had a helpful staff Sandy from "Tower" side who looked and listened and corrected charges, and apologized the "error" happened from their side. I really appreciated the transparency. At the end, I stayed the duration I initially requested and paid what I was supposed to. However the experience I had for ~50 min impossible discussion with staffs while checking in ruined the experience. Clearly, this is not a true 5 star hotel like the Plaza, but was not expecting interaction with untrained staffs less than lower level hotels when I pay $800 a night. FYI, we had our car parked in their valet and did not take out for 4 days, and they charged > $300.
- 3/5
The room was dated but it was clean and large for a NY hotel room. Location is great. The customer service was awful. The first woman we encountered at the front desk was not friendly, in fact she was rude -- for no reason at all. She didn't say hello, welcome or greet us in anyway. She didn't tell me anything about the hotel or amenities. The second woman who actually checked us in was better. The doormen were extremely friendly and helpful. I won't return.
- 5/5
Early check in and friendly front desk staff.
- 3/5
Only negatives were someone else’s under garments were left hanging on our shower curtain rod. And we asked for a comforter for the pull out couch bed and it took almost 3 hrs to get one and lastly we had no top sheet on our bed.
- 4/5
The hotel was beautiful and the rooms clean. Staff seemed overwhelmed as check in and check out was a very long wait.
- 2.5/5
Good location, excellent views y room size No lobby space really to sit down with family, poor maintenance, overrun by guests, garbage sitting on hallways for hours, bathtub didn’t properly drain.
- 5/5
The room and view were sensational. The bathrooms need updating. The front desk staff is lovely but check in and check out had monstrous lines
- 5/5
Excellent!
- 4/5
Beautiful stay and location staff was nice and accommodating. Would recommend Patience during holiday/Christmas season!!
- 5/5
Best hotel experience, hands down! The staff went above and beyond to make sure we were happy. When we go back to New York, we will only be staying here. Not even going to look anywhere else, that's how amazing the Lotte is.
- 5/5
Perfect
- 5/5
What stood out at this Hotel is, the employees! The BELLMAN are amazing. Louis, Charles, Eddie. THANK YOU! Yes they’re working for tips, however they truly go above and beyond to help you. Whether it’s 12 suitcases or finding your Uber/Lyft ride and walk you to the other block. Front desk was very helpful, they even had an early check-in for our arrival. The hotel itself definitely can have a revamp in the rooms. However, our room was still very nice. To be there at Christmas time is so magical, get the room that overlooks the cathedral you’ll never regret it. Last, but not least the delicious coffee and bakery was my favorite part each morning. The staff was still friendly and so helpful on Christmas morning. Bless them for their hard work in that day! If you’re a mom you know.! Also how could I forget the location? The location is perfect. We truly can’t wait to come back. Bring lots of bucks because the food is not cheap. The only down fall.
- 3/5
Quality of the food mediocre
- 5/5
Thé staff was courteous, nice rooms with a beautiful view of the St Patrick’s cathedral, nicely decorated lobby.
- 5/5
Beautifully decorated for Christmas, great location, large room, great shower, very nice
- 5/5
Staff friendly and check in was fast. Heads up if you are in a high floor the elevator takes a long time
- 3/5
The room was dated. The shower was wonky. Fir that much money i expected better. Checkin process was a nightmare. Long long lines, took forever. Needs to be streamlined. Also the wifi should be free.
- 5/5
Great
- 5/5
Wonderful service , the hotel is excellent , so beautiful and the location is amazing!!
- 3/5
For the name and cost- not what I expected. The location and setting was the only amazing thing. Waited in like for 30 minutes to check in. Our toilet ran all night- we requested maintenance and the never came. Coffee is only available for purchase at a lobby coffee shop- and it’s terrible. The room lights have weird buttons. Overall - just not the experience we had expected.
- 4/5
Front desk, concierge, and doormen were extremely kind and helpful! Would have loved more information at check-in regarding on-property restaurants.
- 5/5
Excellent location. Great customer service, nice bars in a lobby.
- 1/5
Staff was rude, room wasn’t ready at 1600. No coffee unless you wait for pastry place which had a long line. Over priced for what you get.
- 4/5
Location Tired. Needs updating
- 2/5
Had to wait in a line for a hour to check into hotel. Bathroom didn’t work, said they fixed it, it wasn’t so had to use public restroom the whole stay.
- 2/5
The courtyard was beautiful and the location was great. The toiletries were of good quality. The doormen were always friendly and helpful. The night staff was much more welcoming than the day staff. Overall we would not stay here again.
- 5/5
The best!
- 4/5
The room view was amazing, I would just like to note that the lobby is always full with outsiders who aren’t staying at the palace, the windows weren’t cleaned and we were missing a few amenities. However the stay was amazing the view was breathtaking, I was in awe everytime I would look out I even slept with the curtains open ! I’m still waiting to see how much of my deposit I will get back since you do need to pay taxes and a fee for the historic building preservation after your stay.
- 5/5
Long lines to check in for sure but hotel was great and creative for Christmas ! Comfy beds and clean !
- 5/5
We had the best stay! It was amazing, especially at Christmas time!
- 5/5
Everything was wonderful, the front desk amazing service, the only thing is to improve the lobby area there’s not enough place to sit and they shouldn’t let people from outside to come for pictures during Christmas time, too much, it was like a zoo and us that are staying we didn’t have enough chairs or room to rest!
- 5/5
Beautiful hotel, we loved our stay at Christmas time in New York. it was absolutely magical. I visited the other hotels that were decorated, and ours was the standout. The location was fantastic and the area was just a buzz with friendly happy staff and guests. 100% recommend. We had a Starbucks across the street and access to many restaurants everywhere using the open table/resy app. looking forward to returning.
- 1/5
Terrible staff manners. Not welcoming at all. No breakfast. Felt like no one wants us here. This was a bad experience. We will not be back.
- 4/5
Staff was excellent, very clean and quiet which is rare in the city. Only con was no working fridge in room and no access to ice.
- 4/5
checkin clerk passed us off to second clerk saying he was busy -second was much more helpful. room was clean but presumably because we stayed one night - no towels or service that night
- 5/5
Exquisite experience. Impeccable service and the holiday decor feels like you’re in a Hallmark movie. It was my dream Christmas.
- 4/5
Only complaints. Way too many people hanging in the lobby - on the floor, on the stairs, etc., eating food, etc. not a very pleasant way to function. Also, no bar (other than Rareties)? In 2025 in a hotel? Unheard of.
- 5/5
Beautiful hotel, great rooms, bed very comfortable, amazing costumer service and great for Christmas time!
- 3/5
Cons: restaurant choices are very limited.. as in there is one tiny restaurant and no hotel bar. It’s nice to have the option of getting in after a long day and having a spot to grab a quick bite for kids and a drink for adults. That’s not an option here. In fact, when we tried to eat at the restaurant there was a wait, so we grabbed drinks from the bar at $80 for 2 drinks. When our table was ready and we walked to the host with the drinks we purchased AT THE RESTAURANT BAR and the hostess said we could throw the drinks away or she could hold them at the hostess stand until we were finished with dinner but we couldn’t take them in because it would “causes problems” with the waiter….. what?? So we just said forget it. The cafe is good for breakfast but $12 for a small plastic Container of orange juice seemed a little ridiculous. I understand it’s NYC but give me a break. $36 for 3 12 oz kids orange juices is crazy. Lastly, the winter bar by the Chriatmas tree in the courtyard sounded great but was rarely open despite posted hours. Overall I was extremely unimpressed with the food and beverage portion of this hotel. If you like the convenience of onsite quick meals or drinks, this is not the hotel for you.
- 5/5
Staff! 10/10
- 2/5
Honestly, for the price I was paying for this place, I was expecting to be blown away. Besides the Christmas tree fanfare in its courtyard, this was a run of the mill hotel that does not deserve to charge the prices it offers. We were booked for two nights but left after the first night. Total disappointment. I have stayed in many other hotels around the world at the same price, and I felt that the high price at those hotels was worth it. Here at the Lotte, it was like staying at some mid level hotel.
- 5/5
Just beautiful resort. Cast iron tubs hold heat felt like a spa. Cathedral views and skyline was amazing. Mattress needs improvement. Sleep was hard.
- 4/5
Clean room and beautiful lobby. The business of the Christmas season made check-in a bit of a hassle.
- 5/5
Our entire stay at the beautiful Lotte New York Palace Hotel was amazing. specially at Christmas time with the beautiful trees inside and outside or spectacular. Our view from our room of St. Patrick’s Cathedral was gorgeous and we look forward to staying there again.
- 4/5
Two times that I called for some items they never took them to my room. I went down after quite a few hours to get them myself. They wanted to tell me utensils weren't available until I said I called for them 6 hours before. Same with a bottle opener.
- 5/5
Could not get reservations for breakfast. We did however visit the coffee shop daily for coffee and bsgels. The staff was efficient and friendly. We were always in and out the door.
- 5/5
My daughter and I had a fantastic time staying at The Lotte New York Palace. We were located in such a perfect area, we never had to Uber, we were able to walk everywhere! And we felt so incredibly safe!
- 3/5
Better Service when they get busy
- 5/5
Entire team from door to Josie in housekeeping.
- 5/5
Beautiful hotel. Perfect location. Great weekend - highly recommend!
- 5/5
The hotel was stunning when we went for the holidays. Room was clean, every staff member I encountered was helpful and courteous. We had a short visit to the bar and it was beautiful. Would definitely stay again. Overall the classy, elegant decorations were the big standout for us but we were pleased with everything.
- 3/5
Front desk woman was very rude.
- 5/5
Excellent location, beautiful setting and all staff very friendly and helpful. Liked everything about it.
- 5/5
Efficient staff, very well run property. We came at Christmas and the decorations were elegant and festive. Our spotless room had a gorgeous view of St Patrick's Cathedral. We enjoyed a delicious breakfast in the stunningly beautiful Villiard room restaurant. Location was perfect for sightseeing & shopping.
- 5/5
Fantastic!
- 5/5
Simply stunning place to stay close to everything highly recommend
- 2/5
They charged $120 for 3 eggs over easy and sausage and 1 glass of orange juice that wasn’t even fresh as they said it would be. This was from room service. The front desk people are snotty as well. Stay away unless you enjoy being ripped off.
- 5/5
Best place in NYC to stay!
- 5/5
Great staff, and the holiday vibe is off the charts!
- 5/5
The property was exquisite, very well presented and the Christmas décor was fantastic. Rooms were very nice, and the staff was extremely pleasant with our needs.
- 3/5
beds weren’t great, toilet didn’t flush. I texted the number they texted me with offering assistance throughout my stay 3 times with no response. beautiful location, beautiful lobby, but not blown away
- 2/5
Would not stay again due to lack of attention to details or requests. Not a 5 star hotel.
- 2/5
Staff is not friendly and we felt service was rushed and if we were inconveniencing them when asked questions
- 3/5
Love the location and the views, but it’s time for an update. The rooms feel dated. My minibar was not replenished, and there was open wine left in the room upon arrival. Additionally, there were many non-hotel guests in the common areas, with people eating on the floors, which took away from the experience. Long lines for the hotel bathrooms were also an issue.
- 1/5
I brought my daughter to Lotte for a Christmas present. I stayed one night. The price was $600. Upon arrival, it took an hour to check in. I was given the key to my room by the front desk, and told the key “may not work I am not sure”. When we went into the room we found an old plate of meat and cheese, which made me question the cleanliness of everything else. No coffee pot in the room and could not get a reservation at the restaurant for breakfast. The room was big and that’s where it ends. I paid $600 for a room with old food and a plastic shower curtain. Never again. A $200 a night hotel has better amenities. Visit the lobby and don’t book this hotel. Not worth it at all.
- 5/5
Beautiful, Historic property. Staff was outstanding. Great location. We will stay there again
- 5/5
Beautiful!!! Great services
- 5/5
Everything was top notch, as expected. The best staff and location.
- 2/5
Terrible customer service . For that price you can find much better.
- 5/5
Great location
- 5/5
The property and the surrounding area was very clean. The room was very clean and quiet. Staff members were patient and friendly. The mattress was out dated, you could hear matters springs popping at night. We could not get a reservation at the restaurant, they need to prioritize hotel members staying at the Lotte.
- 5/5
Location and staff were top notch! Super comfortable beds and I love the little coffee shop.
- 5/5
This was our fourth stay. First time on Christmas season and the hotel looked more beautiful than ever. The staff were very helpful and polite, the room was very clean The only complain is the public restroom, that we had to use before check in time. There was a very long line to get in, It wasn’t very clean and there was no toilet paper.
- 5/5
very clean room, great location
- 3/5
For the amount I paid, I expected a nicer room and better service overall. The only standout positive was the location, which truly is excellent. Would I stay here again? Unfortunately, no. The service issues made the stay far below expectations.
- 5/5
The location was amazing and within walking distance to many historical sites. The staff was beyond accommodating and helpful. Would 100% come back and stay here!
- 2.5/5
noisy guests, overly crowded, construction noises all day on elevator, could not give me a late checkout
- 3/5
For a luxury 5-star hotel I’d expect a 5-star service, but the staff was taking the status of the hotel for granted and
- 5/5
Centrally located, the staff was very accommodating and the room was quiet and clean. A little pricey.
- 5/5
Clean room Perfect location
- 3/5
The Christmas lobby and courtyard is beautiful but overrun with tourists, events guests, photo shoots that you can’t enjoy your own hotels facilities
- 5/5
Friendly staff, rooms were clean, food was excellent
- 5/5
Very clean room. Staff was always helpful. Location was amazing!
- 4/5
Great view. Nice room. I do not like the modernization of the lighting and thermostat. You have to use a digital box to make adjustments. When I wanted to turn on the lights I had to use the flashlight on my phone and my glasses to find the right button. I don’t know why we can’t stick with some type of switch. Also the thermostat did not work properly so it was either too hot or too cold on the space. The staff was top notch!
- 1/5
The first room we were in had mold in the bathroom, and the moment we stepped into it, we could smell it. Changing the shower curtain helped a bit, but the mold was on the wall. They switched our room and that one was fine, but we later got an unknown charge. It was VERY hard to get ahold of the billing department and when we did, they told me we were charged for the laundry service we never used. It's a shame we had this kind of experience at the five star hotel. I would not stay here anymore.
- 4/5
The hotel is in a prime location for midtown. Was clean and decorated beautifully. My only issue was the bathroom in the room needed renovating, it was hard to have a shower and felt small and outdated.
- 5/5
Love this Hotel❤️ Thank you for your hospitality!
- 5/5
perfect
- 5/5
beautiful
- 5/5
Always winderful!!
- 4/5
The room was nice, the bellman were very polite and accommodating;however, the front desk check in ladies were not welcoming or polite. You would think such a nice hotel in every other aspect would teach their front desk hospitality and to smile. Very disappointing and got the stay off to a poor start.
- 4/5
It is very close to many attractions and shopping on 5th ave. Close to Broadway theaters and Met opera is a short taxi ride. Dining is amazing, so many options! The hotel is a little funny though. They have a strange minibar. If you touch anything there, they might charge you. Be aware. The receptionist did warn us about it. I touched chips by mistake there and called reception. The lady said they will mark it as an error after scolding me. The bell service and door men are so nice! Thank you! Late check out is an extra charge if you wanna stay till 2 pm. Bakery is pretty pricey. But, Statbucks is basically in front of the hotel and many great bagel places are around the hotel. Check in at the main lobby was very slow, but they were somewhat busy. There are practically No places to sit at the lobby while waiting. They definitely cater to Tower people with their separate area. but i do not think they can survive without us regular folks filling up 40 floors. So they should treat us nicer at the reception. This is place is expensive! Rooms look tired, the carpet needs a good wash. All in all, not worth the hype for what you get, in my opinion. My Gossip girl’s fan wanted to stay there. There are nicer hotels in the area for less. Hiltons, Marriotts and others were better in terms of price/quality ratio
- 4/5
The location of this hotel is excellent. However, the room lacked amenities such as in-room coffee. The Pomme Palais had good takeout food and coffee, but it was expensive with long line-ups when we were there. For what we paid for the room, we would have loved an in-room Keurig machine.
- 5/5
Great location big room wonderful view
- 5/5
A beautiful old hotel that is well maintained!
- 5/5
It is great location!!
- 5/5
Wonderful hotel.. perfect location…gracious staff
- 5/5
This place was phenomenal and decorated beautifully for Christmas. I will stay here every time. The staff was very helpful and kind. First class all the way from the second you walk in until the minute you leave.
- 5/5
Favorite spot in NYC
- 4/5
The service
- 4/5
Service at breakfast area specially
- 5/5
Loved our stay!❤️
- 4/5
Beautiful views of the cathedral. Very friendly staff. Amazing bar and restaurant. Great location. Furniture in rooms shows it's age a little bit. Great bathrooms.
- 5/5
WE DID NOT GET A CHANCE TO USE HOTEL FACILTIES. THIS WAS A QUICK SHOPPING TRIP FOR THE WEEKEND. THE HOTEL IS ABOVE EXPECTATIONS AND WE WERE GREETED WARMLY AND THE LOCATION WAS SPOT ON FOR WHAT WE NEEDED THIS TRIP. WE PLAN TO REVISIT FOR A LONGER STAY.
- 5/5
Highly recommend.
- 5/5
Beautiful stay, excellent housekeeping service and concierge. Hotel dining pricey, even for NYC. Check-in process somewhat slow and crowded, may have been seasonally related. Overall, an amazing experience.
- 3.5/5
The loc, the room The staff was really unkind at the concierge; although I have mentioned that its my bday they even did not put a card saying happy bday. You would expect sth more from a 1000 dollar per nite luxurious hotel. I stayed here same time 4 years ago it was so good that we came back but unfortunately disappointed this time.
- 5/5
Beautiful hotel room was amazing views were spectacular would definitely stay here again
- 3/5
Rooms are in need of updating, housekeeping staff was great but the folks at reception seemed a bit stressed out
- 5/5
Always great to come back to the Lotte NY Palace for our annual Veterans Day weekend trip. We’ve stayed here for the last four years and will continue. The hotel is in a great location. The double beds seem larger than normal and are comfortable and the rooms are large. The service is always outstanding. A little disappointed that Troubles Trust was closed but was happy walking up to Rarities. See you next year!
- 5/5
Beautiful, friendly staff and affordable compared to most in NYC!
- 4/5
I was told at check-in that breakfast was not included with my stay. I searched hotels that included breakfast as part of the package. I paid over $2800 for airfare and a three night stay at this hotel. The round trip flight from Dallas to NYC cost less than $300, so the hotel stay cost $2500 and they tell me that breakfast is not included! The concierge told me to complain to Expedia.
- 3/5
Disappointed in how poorly managed this hotel is — it truly lacks the quality you expect for the price. There was no warmth or genuine hospitality from the staff; it feels like you’re paying for the beauty of the building, not for a welcoming or comfortable experience. I tried reaching out to someone today regarding issues from my stay, but the response I received was rude and dismissive. Definitely not the level of service I expected.
- 2/5
Room was spacious. But the facilities old and run-down. I barely saw any staff. The phone signal was terrible. The bathroom shabby. The lifts overrun. The wifi was a further $16/night…
- 1/5
The hotel seems quite rundown. Shower caps were terrible and small bathrooms. Asked for $16 per day for WiFi which wasn’t even working properly. Rooms need renovations. Rooms not properly heated. Takes 10 minutes to get down the elevator. Looks good from the outside but low level of service. Never staying back here.
- 5/5
Spectacular
- 5/5
Good
- 5/5
It’s a really nice hotel in a perfect location to visit NY. Rooms are very clean and spacious. Old antique flair gives the hotel its Charme.
- 5/5
Overall, a fantastic stay — elegant, convenient, and memorable. I would definitely return!
- 3/5
Just ok for the price. Beautiful building, average service with the exception of the concierge. Mattress was awful and the bathroom toiletries fragrance was unpleasant and overpowering. Only one sink in the bathroom, which was surprising. Hotel bar was gorgeous but service was lukewarm. Drinks were fine. Location is amazing but there so many better places at this price point to stay in midtown.
- 5/5
Yes it was great!
- 5/5
Room was clean and spacious and the location was perfect!
- 5/5
One of the nicest hotels we stayed in.Staff were excellent
- 2/5
Front desk member was rude
- 5/5
Great location, & great service. I would highly recommend to stay in the newer towers since they have queen beds. Wonderful hotel!
- 5/5
Location and room were excellent
- 5/5
The total ambiance, Rarities and the Gold Room. A casual restaurant is needed in the hotel.
- 5/5
Location! Staff 💗 , large room for NYC
- 4/5
Best localization
- 1/5
ROOMS OLD. Looks like last renovation was late 90s early 2000s. Dated granite lamps fixtures. Bed too hard did not rest well. This on the heels of the four seasons last weekend. BIF CONTRAST. TIRED. DATED ALMOST TO THE POINT OF DIRTY. OLD bathtub. Old hardware and furnishings carpet soiled. A to go bag from a restaurant sat at the elevator table all afternoon ooo to my departure the next day. Bar tiny with long wait. Elevators full and cannot get on one. There are so many other nice places in NYC. Stay elsewhere I asked for a 15 or 30 minute extra time check out as I had a salon appointment in the morning. They refuse saying my card would be charged automatically at 12 o’clock. An extra hundred dollars for one hour. I’m nearly asked for 15 minutes. The room was neat and tidy there was nothing to do but remove my towels. Three people declined me and were not gracious, but condescending an argumentative about my request for 15 minutes and I’m paying almost $1000 for one night. This is no palace, it is a dump. Trust me, spend your money elsewhere. Left frustrated and resolved to not pay 1000 to be denigrated. Lots of hidden charges at check out. BEWARE.
- 5/5
Ideal location, nice big room, & welcoming staff
- 4/5
Central located.
- 5/5
There was no free breakfast offered ever
- 5/5
As the old saying goes “Location, location, location “ add on the top amenities and you have a great place to stay. I strongly recommend a room with a view. It takes it from great to incredible.
- 4/5
Beautiful property! Love the location. Room is spacious but bed wasn’t super comfortable. But a good place overall! I would stay there again.
- 4/5
The size of the room was nice, but it’s really starting to show its age. some paint was peeling off the ceiling in the bathroom and Some of the lights didn’t work properly in the room. They had a fully stocked mini bar and snack drawer, but no coffee maker in the room. The staff could’ve been friendlier.
- 4/5
No information given by front desk about stay at hotel. Restaurant onsite is not worth it.
- 3/5
Hotel is ok but lacks any luster or amenities.
- 5/5
The rooms are quite spacious but could use some redecorating. The staff was friendly and helpful.
- 4/5
Overall we had a great experience. The hotel is beautiful and location is perfect. My biggest complaint is the hospitality- for the price we pay nightly, you would think they would at least offer guests bottled water in the lobby. I was told to go back to my room for the free mini bottled waters. It doesn’t seem that they are willing to go the extra mile for their guests.
- 4/5
Beautiful hotel.!Nice staff
- 5/5
Really miss the piano bar and restaurant at the Lobby and the openness of the space.
- 5/5
Soda was $12/bottle - ice was brought to our room in a ziplock plastic bag- pretty incongruous
- 5/5
Loved everything
- 3/5
Great views but rooms seemed old
- 5/5
Hotel is beautiful, clean, comfortable and excellent area.
- 2/5
Hotel is good but totally mismanaged. Staff are not organised , waiting everywhere like check in , check out, waiting to have breakfart (while other people are waiting for breakfast bills occupying tables) , waiting to leave luggage etc. Hotel staff are not friendly because not organised and see all this shambles. Hotel manager should be fired or get training how to run operations.
- 5/5
Wonderful experience, would stay again!
- 5/5
The palace was beautiful. Staff was amazing and helpful.
- 5/5
nice
- 3/5
The bathroom is really unimpressive, Hampton Inn type of shower curtain with the bells at both ends coming off the wall. No coffee maker in the room. Hotel lobby is always a zoo, you do not feel the love from most of the staff....
- 4/5
Beautiful hotel and great service. Rooms could use some retouching and updating but that’s pretty much every historic hotel in NYC.
- 5/5
Rooms are a little dated but very spacious. Concierge wasn’t much help for anything but luckily the bellhop was in the know and able to answer any and all questions. Conveniently located for Times Square, plays, Central Park, shopping, and the Rockefeller building.
- 5/5
Beautiful!
- 5/5
My daughter and I had a wonderful stay. Concierge helped us get car service from and to the airport. They recommended two restaurants that were both delicious and did not disappoint. The Hotel is a prefect spot, next to all the great shops and store.
- 5/5
Our room over looked St Patrick’s Cathedral It was beautiful
- 5/5
great hotel.
- 3/5
The bathroom was horrible the water wasn’t draining in the shower the shower head seemed broken the toilet was barely flushing and was damn near on the ground. It seems like they put me in one of the worse rooms. Then changed my room and it looked like someone just left that room bed wasn’t made towels in the bathroom but I was accommodated for the trouble the third room was decent. I expected a better room for the price and a softer bed from the reviews I read prior to booking
- 5/5
Great location, friendly staff.
- 3.5/5
It’s a good location. It’s a bit tired, but it’s a convention and meetings hotel so it does feel a little bit more like Orlando based on the amount of people and also when you look at the crowd in the hotel lobby. I’m in a generally thought the front desk check-in was not that friendly but then also if you come a check-in time I saw a line that was so long I would’ve expected to be at the MGM in Las Vegas. I mean they must’ve had two people working at the desk in 100 people checking in.
- 5/5
Very friendly guest services. Epi was very professional with changes I had to do. First class.
- 5/5
Vert friendly staff and beautiful hotel !
- 3/5
Need refrigerator and coffee maker in all rooms. It’s horrible that there’s none
- 5/5
Everything is fabulous
- 5/5
I have stayed at this hotel for 20+ years. The location is amazing. All construction in the courtyard is completed. The view of St. Patrick's is fabulous. The rooms are spacious and clean. The staff is friendly and helpful.
- 4/5
Carpet in rooms needs to be replaced. Hotel needs updating,
- 3/5
Close to shopping
- 5/5
Excellent staff
- 3/5
Booked the Lotte for birthday with my two kids and then was told security would be everywhere for a legislative assembly. Should have been told prior to booking. Left airport border crossing only to check in late with two kids and have to go through metal detectors. Old rooms, need some updating. Staff was amazing, only thing that would keep me coming back if I had to. Beds were terrible, squeaky and not comfortable. The golf room was nice.
- 4/5
Close to shows and dining
- 5/5
Clean and Soacious Room
- 3/5
Excellent location in a beautiful building. The rooms were large but a bit dated. I was very disappointed to make an attempt to sign into wifi and be charged for it. This is not a 2025 practice. The parking lot was closed because of a U.N. summit even though I specifically called at the time of booking to make sure early morning valet was available. This interrupted my plans. Also I thought that for $1000 a night I might have a coffee machine and cold water in my room. The shower was not befitting of the property. Altogether it is a great property but I will be looking for something more attentive to modern standards rather than dated amenities next time. Cannot beat the location I must say.
- 3/5
Nice clean rooms and pleasant staff. Room was run down. Hole in carpet, toilet not working properly, no tea or coffee making equipment and $15.99 for internet. Meanwhile free shoe polishing. Priorities seem to be off.
- 4/5
Front desk staff and doormen were exceptional!!!
- 5/5
The staff at the hotel were excellent. The rooms are clean and fresh. We will definitely stay here again.
- 5/5
Large room with great view. Staff were very friendly and welcoming.
- 4/5
A good location and beautiful building.

Very well experience highly recommended

Location is GREAT! Walked to Radio City Music Hall, Rockefeller Center, Shopping at Saks 5th avenue, Drinks at the iconic Monkey Bar and ...St. Pat's Cathedral is directly across the street. A little pricy for Room Service....$45.00 Burger and $18 Coke.

Great stay a little outdated rooms
- 5/5
Enjoyed this hotel
- 5/5
Everything about this hotel was amazing! The structure, and the location could not be any better. Only a few feet away from everything. Not to mention how beautiful and spectacular the Cathedral view rooms are. 10/10!
- 5/5
Onsite Spa, Cafe, Restaurant, Drivers, Spa, Salon, its absolutely stunning. I wont stay anywhere else.
- 5/5
Excellent. I stay here once a month for a week. Its my hotel home. Wonderful Staff. They remember my name and I always take time to talk to them. The Gold room is exquisite.
- 5/5
The people and the service were phenomenal
- 5/5
Wonderful place to stay and convenient to all shopping and transportation. We stay here everytime we come to the city . Every month!
- 5/5
Such a beautiful hotel and perfect location of exploring the city! The Gold Room bar is such a gem. Looking forward to staying here again soon with my family!
- 5/5
Clean, Safe, walkable, large rooms. They could use some remodeling in the rooms but overall amazing safe location, large rooms, great overall pick for Manhattan.
- 5/5
The Palace never disappoints! This is our favourite place to stay in NYC for so many reasons. It’s a perfect location with beautiful rooms and a huge lobby. The courtyard is great as well. Walking distance to many places and close to the subway and Grand Central.
- 5/5
The room was amazing. A Tower suite overlooking St Patrick’s Cathedral. Fantastic size with large bathroom, wardrobe, lounge/dining space and bedroom. Superb.
- 5/5
Great staff made the difference. Best location. Will definitely stay here again. Thank you !!
- 2/5
Very very dated. No wifi in 2025!! Everything was fine but not what you'd expect from a 5 star hotel in New York. Bathrooms especially are old
- 5/5
Great location, beautiful hotel and walking distance to Rockefeller and wonderful restaurants around the area. Quick trip down 5th ave for some shopping.
- 2/5
We arrived to a room that had glass shards all over the bathroom floor and clearly had not been washed or cleaned well before our arrival. Surprised to see no in room coffee, no basics even (no bottle opener,) terribly small beds, old and tattered finishings. The shower was plugged and water wouldn’t flow through - overall NOT as advertised or anything that we paid for. Would not recommend.

This was one
- 3/5
Dated rooms at a historic property. Know that before booking and you will enjoy.
- 5/5
Facilities are great. Room was excellent. Food was very good.
- 5/5
Amazing staff, location and accommodation! Bravo!!!
- 5/5
Excellent hotel! It’s beautiful, and amenities are superb. Staff are friendly and knowledgeable
- 5/5
Our hotel of choice
- 3/5
Nothing in the room. No coffee maker, no tea. Nothing. Breakfast and a cup of coffee cost $98. Lol
- 5/5
Mattress was very uncomfortable.
- 5/5
It was absolutely BEAUTIFUL. Staff was amazing. The room was perfect.
- 3/5
Really left disappointed by the experience…
- 5/5
It’s been many years since my last stay at the Lotte Palace and it did not disappoint! Fabulous, as always. The staff was so kind and helpful (Michael completed our check in and out). Great recommendations from the concierge for lunch. Prompt room service whether it was for bubbly, bandaids or extra pillows, they were right there! I simply cannot wait to return after Thanksgiving.
- 5/5
Everyone and everything was just amazing
- 1/5
There was mold in our room and staff were very unaccommodating.
- 5/5
The Palace is a classic hotel. The service was outstanding, and the room spacious and clean. We loved our stay!
- 5/5
While this hotel wasn’t my initial choice, I was instantly drawn in by the nostalgia of its iconic role in Gossip Girl, a show I adored growing up. Stepping inside, I was captivated by the timeless elegance of its architecture and the rich history woven into every detail. The staff provided exceptional service, warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming, ensuring my stay was both serene and memorable. I would be delighted to make this hotel my home in New York on every future visit.
- 3/5
Given the price, the condition of the room was unacceptable.
- 5/5
Beautiful hotel, very convenient location, quick and efficient check-in/check-out process
- 5/5
Great hotel! Perfect location.
- 5/5
Lotte is centrally located in midtown within walking distance to many tourist destinations. The Lotte was chosen due to Spa services located in the building and easy access by elevator.
- 5/5
Loved that St Pats was right across the street!
- 5/5
Quiet rooms
- 5/5
Only complaint is they are charging us for wifi! Really?? At the exorbitant price we’re paying for the room, it leaves a bad taste.
- 3/5
The hotel was nice, but I was a bit underwhelmed given the price. For over $1,000 a night, I expected something a bit more special. The room felt pretty standard, with full-size beds and no standout features. The location is definitely convenient, and the staff was polite, but I couldn’t really tell what the VIP amenities included. Overall, it was an okay stay, but I was hoping for more at this price point.
- 5/5
We gave stayed here many times but not recently due to the increased costs. However they offered a discounted rate of which we jumped at and we as usual extremely pleased. This is truly a wonderful hotel of which we recommend it highly.
- 4/5
This will eliminate plastic water bottles and more practical. The Jewel hotel has it and we love it
- 5/5
This is our 13th time staying here. Plan to return again Love this hotel. First time I had to book 2 queen beds and wish it toilet wasn’t extremely low & bathroom fan would be put in along with a stand up shower. Not sure if it’s because of queen beds as usually stay in room with king bed. Hope they update bathroom to comfort height toilet seats and stand up showers with fan.
- 3/5
It had a great old school vibe. That was very much appreciated.
- 5/5
Amazing staff and service! Esp the bell staff. The courtyard and summer bar were amazing. Beautiful Hotel! Room service was divine
- 3/5
Location
- 2/5
Beautiful hotel but the front desk reception is terrible . When you are paying 700 plus a night you would think the receptionist would at least greet you with a smile and simple courtesy. The receptionist was rude and short . Wouldn’t answer your questions and stare you down as you headed to your room
- 5/5
Best location.
- 5/5
The staff was friendly and attentive.
- 5/5
the service was outstanding. michael at the front desk was excellent. would definitely return. location is perfect if you are involved in business with the financial sector.....its also great for a general trip to new york....right near rockefeller center.
- 5/5
One of the highlights of our stay was the breathtaking view from our room; it truly made our time in New York feel magical. We chose this hotel because it’s the iconic filming location for Gossip Girl, and to our delight, two amazing staff members offered to give us a tour. That extra thoughtfulness made the experience so much more special and unforgettable.
- 5/5
The staff was tremendously friendly and helpful! The rooms were gorgeous and so comfortable. And the views!!!! Highly recommend it to business and family travelers alike.
- 5/5
Great location. Spacious rooms and felt totally safe. Very friendly staff
- 2/5
. Bathrooms are old and need to be refinished, the rooms have kind of dated, and just in every way. This hotel really doesn't live up what you would want it, or dream it to be. And they charge for internet
- 2/5
The ONLY good thing about this hotel is the location. It is old, dated and the bed, pillows etc are awful. I normally stay at The Benjamin and the Barclay IHG. I thought I would try this hotel which is more expensive and I was very disappointed. Not worth it!
- 5/5
Awesome location, super helpful and upbeat staff, amazing view of cathedral and nice clean rooms. Oh also loved the courtyard area. Overall fabulous experience!
- 5/5
Beautiful hotel and will stay again next time!
- 4/5
Friendly staff, extremely convenient. The rooms are spacious for New York but certainly not new.
- 5/5
Such an amazing experience. High end luxury hotel right in the heart of manhattan. Staff is fantastic. Had a lovely concierge (Christian) who gave us great recommendations for food and entertainment in the area. Highly recommend!
- 5/5
Do not park in this area. Uber is best.
- 3/5
The hotel has a great location, rooms are a bit dated for a 500$ a night hotel, main restaurant closed all week, hotel bar only has snacks and no food to order, the staff wasn’t that friendly,
- 2/5
Carpet was dirty and had a swath of human hair. Clean towel in bathroom also had a long hair on it. Bathroom and toilet were dirty and not up to Palace standards. I was charged $200 to move rooms.
- 2/5
THE ROOM WAS VERY OLD. WITH AIR/CONDITION FROM THE 80'S
- 5/5
Very convenient location, rooms a bit old, but in general hotel is great
- 4/5
Our room was nice but definitely could use some TLC. Wallpaper was peeling off the wall near the windows and the bathroom had several areas that showed built up grime. My biggest complaint is having to pay $16 per day for WiFi. In this day and age, every hotel provides guests complimentary WiFi, so this felt outrageous.
- 5/5
Beautiful property with the perfect location. One street from St Patrick’s church and Rockefeller Center.
- 5/5
Stayed in the Tower rooms with a view of Manhattan. loved this place. great service, great location, great hotel. very clean and iconic.
- 4/5
Good structure and location
- 5/5
Loved this hotel!
- 5/5
Breakfast was to expensive but the coffee was great
- 5/5
Only thing was the beds are actually full and not queen. Coming from Texas it was an adjustment
- 3/5
Well, surely not a 5 star hotel. No tea and coffee facilities in the rooms, no turn down service, no complimentary water in the room. Lots (really lots) of people standing in the line to the reception daily, so check in/check out takes ……long. Knowing that there is such an inconvenience for the customers - the hotel should arrange for more staff at the reception. This is a proper 4 star hotel. Nothing more.
- 5/5
My favorite hotel in nyc due to large rooms and great staff. Angel the bellman gets 5 stars.
- 5/5
Beautiful view of the cathedral. Rooms are huge with lots of mirrors! Top notch concierge services and dining options.
- 5/5
Just A1 staff helpful, great part of town and unbeliavble views over the Cathedral
- 3/5
We stayed two nights and our room was never cleaned. Also, upon check-in, I was not given the Wi-Fi address or password. Had to make another trip down to the front desk to get it.
- 5/5
We had a wonderful visit at Lotte. The location is perfect. We loved our room (King overlooking St. Patrick's - gorgeous view). It's a beautiful building! We enjoyed having a nightcap in the bar, and the coffee shop was very convenient. We will definitely be back!
- 5/5
We stay here almost very year and would not think of staying anywhere else!
- 5/5
Very clean & felt safe in that area as a fmly of 4 exploring nyc. The employees were very helpful answering any questions we had as well. Our kids had a great first trip to NYC!
- 5/5
Excellent bar and restaurant, amazing location, beautifully maintained, spacious rooms. Would definitely recommend and return
- 5/5
Always love to stay at the Lotte...it feels so special and the location is amazing
- 5/5
Great location
- 5/5
Fantastic location with superb service. The highlight was the Rarities bar that was perfect to entertain colleagues/friends from Japan. And my room overlooked St Patrick’s Cathedral.
- 5/5
I love the view of the Cathedral and most of the staff were polite and willing to help. We travel often to NYC and had stayed at many hotels but Lotte Palace has become our favorite hotel in NYC we will definitely stay here again.
- 5/5
Beautiful hotel with courteous, kind and helpful staff - every single one! The location is excellent for Midtown Manhattan. Our room was spacious and well-appointed. We had s family two room/two bathroom suite - loved it!
