We stayed at Row NYC during our trip to New York to celebrate our granddaughter’s 13th birthday. The location was one of the best parts. It was close to Times Square, Broadway, restaurants, shopping, and the subway, which made it easy to get around the city. The staff was friendly, and we really appreciated them giving us a late checkout. The room worked well for what we needed since we were out exploring most of the day. It was clean, and housekeeping came every day to freshen up the room. The only downside was that the bathroom was small, especially the area around the toilet. Overall, it was a convenient place to stay, and we enjoyed our visit. We would stay here again when visiting New York.

It's convenient to the theaters, but that’s probably the best thing about it. Rooms are small, even by NYC standards. The “City View” room I booked for visitors had only a sad brick wall to look out to. The elevator situation was ridiculous. I observed a number of people walking up and down to as many as 24 floors since the elevator service was so poor. Finally, maybe not a big thing but still important, would it be so hard to equip rooms with coffee pots??? Not having that small amenity comes across as stingy or maybe just thoughtless. If you are looking for a place near the theatre distinct, you can provably do better than Row.

Meh. Not the same as it once was. Drab greens, cheap fixtures, and staff who don't acknowledge you unless you are trying to use the elevators. And then they have to be up in your business.

A localização do hotel é ótima! Movimentada e você consegue ir a pé a vários pontos turisticos. As estações de metro também ficam ao lado. É importante ressaltar que é um hotel movimentado. Ou seja, às vezes poderá ter pequenas filas para o elevador. check-in ou check-out.

The hotel was nice and the people were very pleasant. We enjoyed our stay and it was within minutes of all of the Broadway shows we attended so we were able to walk to everything we needed. The only con would be, every morning, we could hear the housekeeper outside the door going in and out of a storage closet or rooms and the door would slam shut and also she would be talking pretty loud asking people if they needed towels etc.. She was our alarm clock every morning. There was a pretty good size space under the door for whatever reason, maybe that's why we heard her so well but other than that, great hotel and location.

I also had the best night's sleep I've had in years. The blackout shades worked so well that we woke up at 10 AM convinced it was still the middle of the night! Being so well-rested made a huge difference for our busy days exploring the city. The location was another major plus, especially for my Broadway-loving family. Overall, an exceptional stay. One million stars!

The room did not have a refrigerator or a microwave, which made my stay less convenient. The bathroom shower was also extremely small and uncomfortable to use. The breakfast was another disappointment. There were very few options available, and guests were limited to choosing only one item. This was not what I expected based on the information provided when I booked the hotel. What disappointed me the most was the additional fee of $46 per day charged by the hotel. This fee was not clearly disclosed during the reservation process, and I felt surprised by this extra cost upon arrival. Overall, the hotel did not meet my expectations, especially considering the additional charges and the lack of basic amenities

The AC unit in the room was very old, rusted and very noisy. We could ynot only the hissing of the air but the badly functioning AC motor. The bath towels were damp and the carpet floor dirty. We had to request a room change. The new room was slightly cleaner but the AC was still noisy and old. For the high price of the stay this was more than disappointing. The hotel ad stated that the facility was completely renovated which was quite different than the reality. The staff was not very welcoming either. Would not stay in this hotel in the future.

The elevator service was simply inadequate. During our stay, we frequently had to wait several minutes to catch an elevator down to the lobby. There weren't enough elevators, sometimes one or more were out of service, and they were too small to accommodate all the hotel guests and their luggage. At least once, some of us, frustrated that we couldn't get an elevator to take us down to the elevator, pressed the "up" button, went up to the top floor, and then stayed on the elevator to get down to the lobby. A second complaint: There weren't enough electrical outlets in the room. There were two outlets by the bedside table, but one wasn't working. There seemed to be another outlet behind a massive piece of furniture. My travel companion and I had to charge our laptops in the bathroom.

Experiences major delays checking in and then the room itself was really awful. My tv didn't work, but that was the least of my concerns. There were socks left on the floor and someone's earring as well. The staff was incredibly nice and clearly working hard as they adjusted to being open, but the hotel itself has not be re-done in a nice way and it was way overpriced for the stay I experienced.

Lobby is great. Elevators are a mess. Rooms are painted tacky and the staff at 5:30AM could not check me out - email or print the invoice. I had to call again. Lobby is the best part. Everything else is like staying in a motel. No water in the room or at checkin.

Nothing to dislike. This was my 2nd home until it was shut down. Reopened in May so of course after bouncing around other hotels in the area I'm back where I belong. Welcomed by Nelson and Sam when I walked in. New at reception was warmly welcomed by Gezennia. Went to the new bar area to see Javier. Nice renovated room on the 25th floor. Hotel renovations are great. As a Broadway fan close to All Broadway theatres and TKTS for discounted tickets. Plenty of restaurants for meals in all price points. The nicest part of this hotel was the lobby and location other wise mid. The elevators were limited and slow. The AC in our room was outdated and did not cool. We got in late and the next morning a housekeeper knocked on our door at 9am and when we told her we did not need her services she insisted on us opening the door to give us towels. We had enough towels. We put the do not disturb door plaque and did not use housekeeping services for the rest of our stay. The sheet and the shower curtain had weird stains. I think there are nicer places to stay in this area for similar price. Would not stay here again or recommend.

We had a wonderful stay at The Row NYC! The service was truly excellent from start to finish. A special shoutout to manager Joe, who was incredibly kind and went above and beyond to make our stay special. The entire staff was warm, friendly, and professional — it really made a difference. The room was very comfortable and well-appointed. Our only minor suggestions would be to add a full-length mirror in the room and to ensure the bathroom outlet is working properly — we had a bit of trouble using a hair straightener since the outlet wasn’t functioning. Overall, a fantastic experience and we would definitely recommend The Row NYC to anyone visiting New York. We hope to be back! I think is missing a whole body mirror on the room

We had a nice stay at a great price for Manhattan. Hotel is apparently recently reopened providing a good deal in midtown Manhattan while they are still fully getting everything up to speed (I.e. checkin on a Sunday afternoon took quite awhile with only two clerks handling everyone and one of those let herself be tied up for more than 30 minutes with someone who didn’t seem to have a proper reservation, but on the other hand checkout on Thursday morning was seamless and very quick, also New York had an unusual May heatwave during our stay and the AC in our first room didn’t work but they immediately switched us to a new larger room where the AC worked great for the balance of our stay.) Nice terraced lobby cafe/bar sitting area with views out on 8th Avenue.

Stayed for 2 nights shortly after the hotel's post-renovation reopening in May. Visually appealing hotel with beautifully updated lobby and cosmetic refresh of guest rooms. Staff was uniformly polite and helpful. Our room was rather small but adequate for our purposes, as we didn't spend much time in it; we did appreciate the very comfortable bed and blackout shades, and it was great to have access to a well-appointed fitness facility on site. We arrived two hours after check-in time and even so the room wasn’t ready — we had to wait. We paid an additional $45 per night. We couldn’t communicate from the room to the Front Desk at any point; when we needed someone to come check the air conditioning, they took very long. We had three rainy days and they don’t have umbrellas. We wanted to have dinner at the hotel — the restaurant supposedly closes at 10:30 PM, but at 10 they refused to serve us food. I would not return. The room is extremely small, the suitcases don’t fit, there’s no refrigerator, and it’s next to a building under construction, so every morning was very noisy.

The hotel is just ok, well located but wasn’t a real remodelation, the lobby and entry is huge but not the rooms, are smaller than the pictures. The blower in the bathroom is a joke (only works for a doll), the cleaning lady leave the trash in the middle of the room. If you looking for a decent hotel in Times Square, this is an option, but not recommended for long stays. The regular rooms don’t have a desk, so no space to eat in the room, the lobby employee were very nice but if at the end, the fridge was never delivered, then the service was bad. The elevators are another nightmare, sometimes only 2 works, and 1 was always off, so during the morning and night, the waiting can be long. Two of the elevators are “smart”, and two regular one, so the hotel wasn’t like brand new, just some paint and new carpet.

I stayed for 2 nights - location is top. They just opened so probably going through some "teething issues". Overall nice hotel with impressive lobby and nice staff. Rooms are a bit small. Not sure that's included in the destination / resort fee. No bottle of water / cups (even plastic ones) or lotion in the room. Despite going for a superior room, it did not have a desk, which was a bit annoying,

The hotel is newly renovated and opened a month ahead of time. Except for two nights without TV (because the carpet installers cut the cable lines) our stay turned out great. The staff were courteous and efficient—and seemed genuinely pleased to see you (Al of to customer training). The hotel is across the street from the subway and a block from crosstown buses. And of course around the block from the theater district. I used to stay at the Penn across the street from The Garden whenever I came to NYC. Now it will be The Row

The manager Dan was phenomenal going above and beyond to help resolve a tech glitch with my US roaming plan from my Canadian provider. Over the course of our visit I saw him interacting with other guests as well as engaging with his staff. Amazing- management!! Our front desk receptionist Yara was friendly and helpful as well. The luggage storage staff were also friendly and eager to share good places to watch the NYKnicks playoff games! To sum it up our experience was five stars plus!! We knew this location was just reopening, so we had low expectations, but it was very nice and clean. An excellent value. Long wait times for check in. We didn't find any of the staff to be very friendly, except the cleaning staff - they were quite nice! It's clear some of the room elements will suffer over time, especially the window shades and drawers. We would not stay here again unless there was at least a coffee pot and possibly a microwave oven and minifridge in the room.

First there is like an double resort fee, one Expedia lists and another that the hotel charges on top of that when you get there. The carpet in my room was coming up so the bathroom door didn't close. The TV didn't work. There was damage to the walls. The room was expected size, small. The room was clean. There was no hot water when I tried to shower at 9 am, guess everyone else used it up. Also only one staff member running check in, I have to absolutely commend her for doing a great job, but when I got checked into a room with an active ozone generator running I was dismayed to have to wait another 15 minutes in line to get a new room, having previously waited to get my first room.

We let front desk know upon check out and they kindly waived our “destination” fee. The luggage guys were awesome! Checked in May 12 for seven nights. Was placed in a queen room at check-in. After informing the front desk, we were walked to two more rooms before finally settling in around midnight. The third room also had a queen bed. We were told it was the best available. We never received the king bed we paid for. The final room had no power to the bedside outlets – a problem since I travel with a CPAP machine. An engineer arrived close to 1am, discovered the headboard was incorrectly wired, and my partner and I ended up helping him reassemble the furniture. The AC barely worked, and when the unit was bumped open during the move, there was a used box cutter razor blade inside. The shower wasn’t clean, water pressure was poor, and only one or two elevators worked across the entire property. A member of our travel party spent his first night with no AC before being moved. Front desk associate LaTonya and manager Joe were genuinely helpful and working hard under difficult conditions. Staff acknowledged the hotel had rushed its May 1st reopening and that many rooms hadn’t been properly inspected. No manager ever followed up as promised. No compensation was offered.

The rooms are extremely small, and there is no mini fridge. Also, the people working there are very incompetent ! When I checked in, they tried to charge me more than $3000 for the rooms, even though I had already paid over $1800 through booking. They spent more than 40 minutes verifying that. We dropped off our luggage in the room and left for a quick walk in Times Square. When we returned to the hotel, they stopped us, saying the credit card had declined the room charge and that they had already deactivated our room key cards. When we verified that they realized that the payment in reality went through, they didn't even apologize for humiliating me in front of my family. And only after a while did they give us the keys. I am not happy with the service, nor the rooms. The hotel location though, is great The rooms are extremely small, and there is no mini fridge. Also, the people working there are very incompetent ! The “continental breakfast” advertised on the website is also misleading. In reality, it consists of either one egg sandwich OR one pastry. Fruit, yogurt, and most additional items cost extra, and even coffee consumption feels monitored. While there is basic American coffee available, every small extra is charged separately, which is absolutely not the impression given online. What made the experience worse was the staff’s dismissive attitude when concerns were raised. When I simply asked for a tray to carry my coffee to the table, the response I received was: “Darling, welcome, this is New York.” For the price charged, the experience does not match the description, the expectations, or the level of service this hotel claims to offer.

I paid for a superior room with king bed with the photo clearly showing a desk and chair. My room did not have any desk or chair. Only 2 of the 4 elevators worked when I checked in, with no apparent effort to fix the others. On my last day, only one elevator worked while hordes of people were waiting on every floor to go down, including many with luggage. We had to ride all the way up to the top on the sole working elevator to make sure we could squeeze in as there was no other way to make it down from floor 23 with our luggage.

The ROW NYC claims to be a 4-star hotel, yet this was genuinely the worst hotel experience I’ve had, and I travel often. From arrival, everything felt chaotic and disorganized. We were told to hand over all luggage downstairs before even checking in, then waited over 30 minutes at reception because the hotel was clearly understaffed. Since our room wasn’t ready yet, we were told to come back later for our keys… only to wait another 30 minutes just to receive them. The luggage situation was even worse. After returning later that evening, we waited 45 minutes for our bags while trying to get ready for a dinner reservation. We called twice before they finally arrived over an hour later. For a “4-star” hotel, there’s essentially no concierge service. My fiancé wanted to send a bottle of champagne to the room after I found my wedding dress and was told they simply don’t offer that service. The elevators were another disaster: only 2 of 4 worked most of the stay, and on checkout day only ONE elevator was operational, forcing staff to bring guests through service elevators. The renovated rooms may look modern, but functionality was ignored: barely any bedside outlets and an AC unit blasting directly onto one side of the bed all night. Checkout also took another 20 minutes. Convenient location, but other than that, avoid at all cost.

Checking in took forever because there was only one person working and nobody else arrived to help, so we ended up leaving our bags with an employee so we could get to a show. Came back around 11pm for check-in and was helped much faster. The clerk nicely upgraded us from a room with one bed to one with two beds, which was really nice. There's no microwave or mini fridge in the room, and only a tiny trash can. Our bedroom door didn't lock every time so we constantly had to make sure it was locking properly. Staff was very friendly and helpful (minus the initial check-in), the gym was really nice, everything was very clean, and the hotel is located right in the middle of several Broadway theaters, which was super efficient for us. ★★★★★ (and then some!) I cannot recommend this hotel enough! From start to finish, my stay has been nothing short of fantastic. In a city full of options, this is truly the only one that matters. What sets this place apart is the immaculate cleanliness and the stunning, stylized aesthetic—it’s easily the most beautiful and well-kept property in the area. The attention to detail in the design is second to none. I’ve already decided that I’ll be booking my return stay for next summer. We had 2 different rooms, no fridge if staying multiple days and the air conditioning unit wouldnt cool the room. Rough sleeping. Location is great and the staff was amazing. I know they just opened but they need to have refrigerators and have air conditioning

Great location for our trip. We saw a show, went to the MOMA, had a great dinner nearby. Close to the Port Authority, important for us as we took the bus from Boston. Beds were comfortable and room good sized for NY.

Location excellent. Really great value. Fast elevators. Nice big lobby. Network box on the wall had fallen off the wall into the bench dresser preventing one drawer from closing. I pushed it back onto the wall but it needs to be permanently fixed. Floor lamp was not plugged in which has to be plugged into outlet behind the bench dresser. No ice nor cups for the room

The staff was amazing. Nelson was so helpful with our luggage when we checked out. Joe immediately welcomed us upon arrival and made us feel at home. The hotel is so close to everything and is very convenient.

The room was very small and very very basic. It was not worth what you paid for. The amenities were good and the lobby very clean and nice but the room not so much. You get more room if you stayed at a Holiday Inn than you would here. The room felt like a closet with a bed and bath. No microwave and not small fridge. If you are looking for just the bare basic in a room then yes it is for you.

Location is excellent. Property has just been renovated and is just reopened. Building is from 1928 but now has a very modern vibe. However, the rooms are small and particularly the bathroom. Some additional amenities are being added as the project is still under way.

Perfect location for proximity to Broadway theatres! Went on re-opening day and there was a back-up during check-in (staff was new to the system). I am the type of person to notice details and the remodel seems surface level, I obviously didn't see the building when they began so I can't say how much has been done. In the, quite small, bathroom, there was no fan, the tub shower had an un-even floor surface, the drain didn't really work all that well and the water pressure, while adjustable, went from a heavy trickle to a mid-pressure spray. Sink was nice with some room to put your things around it and there was a shelf. Lighting in the bathroom was mid - only light was from the mirror. The green paint throughout the room wasn't perfect (looked like a lot of layers). The room was sparkling clean, the new bed was comfortable, night stands had good plug options, carpet was nice, and towels were fluffy. We were on the 25th floor and the noise from the area was still noticeable. For NYC, I guess the room size was ok, it did feel small, and if you had multiple large luggages it will be tight - there is storage space under the bed for a suitcase on either side. The TV is on an awkward wall next to the bed vs at the foot of the bed - but we didn't watch TV. The two elevators were slow to get to you either in the lobby or at your floor. It seemed like there were more elevators available but they weren't working at the time. The cafe was nice. After all that, I would stay here again.

The hotel was close to our show. It was the opening weekend and there were some minor setbacks: lengthy check in / check out process. Limited number of elevators working causing longer wait times.

Great location, walking distance to theaters and Times Square and access to tour stuff. Loads of nice and surprisingly reasonable food options. Clean. The fill-your-own water bag from the filtered water tap was great. Nice little bar of soap. Fast elevator response. Doorman got taxis promptly The usual small room and tiny bathroom typical for NYC. No amenities, no in-room coffee (much less any breakfast) not even in lobby. Hallway ice machine didn't work any of the 3 days I was there. Long and slow lines for check-in and check-out. Travelers must take that into account. Extra $80 fee for internet use was demanded even when I explained I had no electronic device and would not be using any internet.
