Peninsula NYC is one of the best hotels I have experienced in the city! The property is beautiful and perfectly situated for theater and shopping. The attention to detail was above and beyond with amenities in the room.

We went with our 4 month old, and everything was wonderful. The staff set up our room beautifully, and were all so courteous to us. We enjoyed room service, and drinks at Gotham as well as breakfast at Clements. Everything was superb. Stephanie checked us in and was such a warm welcoming face.

Definitely it won’t be the last time staying there and looking forward to visit it again. The noise from the street, construction and work

To be honest, everything was perfect from the moment I checked in until I checked out. The room size was good, mattress was super comfy, room service was great and the Spa was amazing. Definitely it won’t be the last time staying there and looking forward to visit it again. The noise from the street, construction and work

The room and staff were wonderful!
- 3.5/5
I like the location. As for the hotel, our first room had a foul smell in the bathroom so we had to be moved. We noticed it upon check in. The second room was on the top floor under the spa. The thermostat did not work properly, the shower did not work properly which suprises me being that they have cleaners every day. The room itself is nice but the table and chairs are crammed into a corner that has air coming through the window and it's cold. Not the best place I've been to and enjoyed it many years ago when it was fresh and newer. But overall, the staff is great and our needs were met.

The rooms at The Peninsula New York are remarkably spacious and comfortable, blending elegance with functional design. The in-room technology works flawlessly—intuitive controls, reliable connectivity, and high-quality audiovisual systems. Common areas, especially the spa and pool, are delightful: relaxing atmosphere, spotless well-maintained facilities, and attentive service that completes the luxury experience. Overall, The Peninsula offers an impeccable and highly recommended stay.

We loved our stay at The Peninsula. One of the hardest things for any hotel and/or restaurant is to curate the people that attend it. It is a very high-end chic vibe. Also, the spa is world-class, which is very convenient. The rooftop bar is also a great feature. We would stay at The Peninsula again.

We just returned from a two day stay with my daughter and 5 year old granddaughter. For an extra fee, the hotel set up Camp Peninsula. It was adorable. A teepee, chocolate covered graham crackers and brûléed marshmallows, a bear with her name embroidered on it. There was a scavenger hunt with NY icons in the room. It made our visit so special. Thank you Hotel Peninsula! The spa and pool are delightful and the staff so nice. Location is great. Would highly recommend this hotel.

Some staffs are extremely welcoming, but not all staffs. Lobby areas are very small. There is no coffee machine. There is no roof top bar. Staffs focus on certain guests.
- 5/5
This was our first stay in NY and this hotel was the best choice! Everything was amazing!
- 5/5
Great hotel, very clean and comfortable. Would recommend.
- 4/5
Hotel common areas are tired. Difficult to get around the many hallways. My room was very nice. Elevators slow.
- 3/5
Good front desk staff but worst Peninsula experience. It lacks a lobby, rooms are small, no coffee or tea maker or iron & ironing board in the room, bath has only 1 sink, separate but small walk-in shower & tub, housekeeping forgot top bed sheet 2x, took away robes & slippers, elevators are old/small/slow and 2 of 4 not working.
- 3/5
Room was partially updated but bathroom was not. Wasn’t the best room for the money
- 5/5
Sairves food

Room was a great size for the city and exceptionally clean! The amenities were fabulous, loved the fitness area. The staff was attentive and friendly. Will look forward to my next visit to NYC

Room was gorgeous. Staff were amazing.

There is no ambiance or sitting areas in the lobby. The lobby bar was "closed for the season". The renovations were not comprehensive. Great property and staff.

- 5/5
The amenities are very good (pool, gym), and the turn down service as well. The staff and service is exceptional. Location is very central for someone that wants to walk around. 100/100 Nothing.
- 5/5
Our room was newly renovated to highest standards and the staff were fantastic! WEN at reception was exceptional and even arranged a Birthday cake for me free of charge. We will definitely return.
- 5/5
Great hotel and the staff are very nice and kind. One thing I would change is the variety of food in the Penn top bar. Really bad. I think there is a lot of opportunity to change and improve the menu.
- 5/5
Great place
- 5/5
Beautiful property
- 3/5
Needs a major upgrade in entrance, lobby & elevator. The overall standard is not in line with the other Peninsula properties even adjusting for the NYC conditions.

Epic stay
- 5/5
Nice clean room. No any weird odor. Rooms are in high demand. We pay $1600 USD per night for two nights in middle ofJune 2025.
- 5/5
Absolutely first-class stay. Gorgeous property and great food. Room service especially was of exceptional quality. Booking at least a Grand Luxe room will guarantee an outside facing room overlooking 5th Ave. or 55th.
- 5/5
Newly refurbished the hotel is beautiful. Our room had a sitting area and the bedroom. It was comfortable for a short or longer stay. Convenient location right off 55th and 5th. You can’t go wrong

I hate to praise it because it’s my special secret in NYC. The staff are exceptional, from the bell boy to the Managers. Always remember returning guests and go out of their way to make your stay wonderful. Every amenity including gym, pool, spa, salon, 3 bars, restaurant and fantastic room service. Order the Spring Rolls!

From the moment we arrived in our car we were warmly greeted. The room was ready (we had asked for early check in) and there was a birthday greeting and cake for my wife. Entirely charming at every turn. And our stay was defined by spot-on service, kindness and competence.
- 5/5
Everyone was extremely helpful and friendly. Check in was fast and effecient. Room service lunch was served quickly and was very tasty
- 5/5
Hotel is under construction, but staff was very accommodating. We ordered room service a couple of times and food was always delicious. The room was very comfortable. Front door staff are amazing!

- 5/5
We loved our stay! The stay was exceptional. Just above and beyond. They were amazing. The hotel is beautiful, and we had a wonderful experience with room service. It’s fast! The rooms are beautiful but need a few updates. There are no charging ports by the bed, and the plugs by the bed didn’t work for our chargers for some reason. We had to charge them at the desk area. Although lovely and clean, the rooms need a little tech update to compete with other 5 star hotels in the area.
- 5/5
Love the location and the amazing staff
- 4/5
Pro side: great location and some great staff including the bellmen. Cons: Rooms a little small. Staff was hit or miss. Room service screwed up the same order twice. Rooms are getting a bit dated. Didn't have the candy bar this time which my kids loved.
- 5/5
Absolutely the best in service and accommodations in NYC. All around great personalized service from Concierge to front desk to food & beverage! My wife and I celebrated our anniversary for a couple days and the The Peninsula delivered in a big way!
- 5/5
Amazing stay for my birthday! The hotel went above and beyond to make me feel extra special. Wonderful staff, great location and a beautiful room! Our new NYC home away from home!
- 5/5
The Peninsula NYC is truly Outstanding! The central 5th Ave location is perfect for easy access walking to shops, parks, restaurants, theatres etc. The hotel is a wonderful example of how to receive an absolutely perfect personalized service whilst staying in true 5* luxury surroundings. Amenities, services, pool and Spa are incredible. The concierge and Guest Relations are the best that I have ever experienced in NYC; the most wonderful, special and luxurious place to stay in NYC!
- 4/5
Room was nice Did not like stairs at entrance No coffee in lobby
- 5/5
Check-in process was quick and easy. Front desk staff were very responsive and helpful. The one interesting part of our stay was the accessibility of the hotel staff to the rooms. There were times where they tried to enter the room at inconvenient times. We did not have a Do not disturb sign for the room so I think that was the problem. Otherwise, we had a great time and stay.
- 4/5
The less than good was being greeted at the hotel entrance on arrival by a staff member who watched me man-handle 2 suitcases up the stairs without any offer of help; the roof bar was closed on Sunday and Monday and was much too small for demand. The restaurant was not open for dinner. All in all, I don't plan to return as there is just too much choice in NYC.
- 5/5
Staff amazing Rooftop bar awesome but music way too loud and couldn’t even hear during a conversation Please realize it’s not hip it’s just loud and didn’t go back up because of that
- 5/5
The property itself is excellent, the area around is severely compromised by new build construction.
- 3/5
I was expecting too much but i am so disappointed
- 5/5
The lobby was small located up a flight of stairs
- 5/5
Everything was great about my stay, the staff is extremely nice and helpful. It's a quiet hotel and very accesible location. Charlie the concierge, gave us great dining recommendations. Would come back anytime!
- 5/5
a five star hotel, but more. The service was next level. My wife left something incredibly important to her health in the refrigerator. We realized it when we're at the Newark Airport. I contacted the hotel and the night manager actually drove to Newark airport with the package before our plane took off. Next level service doesn't say enough. Thank you Charlie!
- 4/5
I liked the pool, sauna and steam. I would have enjoyed a jacuzzi.
- 5/5
Wonderful hotel as always
- 5/5
Peninsula hotels continue to offer the cleanest places with the absolute best customer service.
- 5/5
Amazing place to stay at, the service was unreliable.
- 5/5
Outstanding property; some stairs at the entry.
- 5/5
A very beautiful and cozy hotel in a noble area and New York I really liked
- 5/5
Walking out the dor of the Peninsula, we feel totally part of the city. Everything thing is within few blocks, from shopping and restaurants to Central Park, and for the things that aren’t close, the subways are a block away for those of us not in the black car cohort. For us, fine hotels are defined by their staff, and the Peninsula is an archetype great service. It’s not a small hotel, but the staff seems to always know who you are, and they irl to anticipate and fill your needs. They work hard to improve your experience.
- 4/5
Staff very helpful
- 5/5
Everything was great. I feel like I got exactly my money’s worth and the levels of service I expected.
- 4/5
Gorgeous property and 5-star service make a stay at this hotel an experience worth repeating.
- 5/5
You pay what you get, this is a five-star hotel worthy of that title. The service is great, rooms are spacious. However expensive but it depends on your view on the worth of you staying somewhere.
- 4/5
A very nice hotel, but I'm not sure what they rave about. The restaurant is not great, I had to send back pancakes (that cost $10 per pancake) because they were raw inside. The pool was closed during our stay and the fitness facilities are decidedly average. The room was fine the bed is soft with many pillows (if that's what you like). The service is excellent, the staff are very attentive and work hard. I liked the stay, I can't say I loved it.
- 4/5
Long 3 day weekend . Compared favorably to The Plaza and other high end hotels we have stayed in while visiting NYC.
- 5/5
Lovely stay always!
- 5/5

- 5/5
Enjoy spending Christmas in NYC every year …. The Peninsula is ideally located for walking and the staff is outstanding. Always available and ready to assist. Concierge Staff incredible …. very knowledgeable and accommodating. Wonderful experience !!!
- 5/5
Awesome property.
- 5/5
We stayed for a quick weekend visit just prior to the 2022 Xmas holiday. The service at The Peninsula is fantastic. In this day and age when great service is the exception, The Peninsula staff is a throw back to the good ol’ days. The staff obviously cares about their guests, from the Maitre’d at the restaurant to the check in staff to the bell hops everyone bends over backward to make you feel comfortable and welcome. Well done Peninsula!
- 5/5
Amazing hotel during Christmas time. Just an absolute great stay
- 5/5
Excellent Hotel
- 5/5
It was a luxury property with other Peninsulas, but did with more ease and less puffery. Very attentive and amazing amenities right at 5th Avenue. Amazing spa and fitness center and bar.
- 5/5
My wife and I found the beds to be very comfortable. Service was great. The hotel is in a great location.
- 5/5
The hotel area and peninsula hotel were nice. However some amenities such as charges and plastic covers were quite deteriorated. Rest of the hotel was nice. One string recommendation is not to close the spa area or Sauna so early. The normal hours are 10-11 pm. This hotel at 6 pm was closed. I had expected so much this moments and left the hotel without this treat. The bed and sheets were EXTRAORDINARY 👏.
- 4/5
A bit dated, poor follow through by the Concierge (Charlie) for dinner plans. Not quite up to par ar the 5 star level. Would not re-book.
- 2/5
Dirty, old
- 5/5
Staff and service were the best around. Room was very comfortable and quiet.
- 5/5
The perfect stay in all respects!
- 5/5
Excellent hotel and service. Hotel needs a face lift though . Too old looking for today.
- 5/5
The staff and service made up for it. This is definitely our home away from home when we visit NYC
- 4/5
Other than congested area due to construction et al,we liked the location.
- 5/5
Great customer service, helpful, clean.
- 5/5
location , services , everything works perfect
- 5/5
The Pennisula was spectacular. Attention to details and amenities were first class. Highly recommend this Hotel.
- 5/5
It was amazing. Second time staying here at the Peninsula with my family. Aaron and most staffs have made our entire stay pleasant and comfortable with excellent professionalism. It’s a luxury to have indoor pool in New York City. Peninsula has great workout facilities and studio. Convenient location and comfortable beds. Would love to return next time in NYC.
- 5/5
A great property with the most delightful staff, from check in to waiters, room service, bar attendants, room attendants... just a total treasure in the city. Great pool, too. Wish there were fewer loud children, but that's how it goes.
- 5/5
Great location, property and staff! Rooftop bar fabulous.
- 5/5

- 5/5
Great hotel.
- 5/5
We love the Peninsula and the staff is always amazing. We were very disappointed to discover that the Gotham Bar is closed permanently. That is one of the reasons we book this hotel as my CEO can hold meetings there. We had to go across the street to the St. Regis King Cole Bar (very cool bar) and hold our meetings.
- 4/5
Nice stay - comfortable, clean, beautiful hotel
- 5/5
Everything was wonderful
- 5/5
Staff was extremely friendly and helpful.
- 5/5
Wonderful in all areas of the property and service. Staff was always helpful and extremely nice. Great location.
- 5/5
The food and service in the restaurant Clement was impeccable. My room couldn’t have been more perfect and the location is ideal. I can’t wait for my next stay at The Penninsula NYC. Thank you everyone!!!
- 5/5
Incredible experience. Amazing hotel for the holidays!
- 5/5
Amazing stay!! Gorgeous holiday decorations, incredibly friendly staff and great location. We will definitely stay again!
- 5/5
This is a great hotel with an amazing staff. The location is perfect and quiet. A great olace for a drink or breakfast each day. My only critique would be that it feels like it could use a little freshening up. But overall, well worth the 5 stars that it is rated.
- 5/5
Always a great hotel!!!
- 4/5
This hotel was fine. My main thought the whole time I was there was that it was really expensive, and I was trying to figure out why. It is a good hotel, but there is nothing wonderful about it to justify the absurd price.
