I guess you don't get much in a city. The first room I was in smelled of tobacco. There no face cloth provided. The elevator was very slow to arrive. I was on the 4th floor. I wound up taking the stairs. Finally the card key stopped working. The master key didn't work either. They gave me a different room. Not much better but it was on the 1st floor! It didn't smell of tobacco. I did get a wash cloth but no top sheet on the bed. It's decor was quite odd. Hard to describe. No amenities like in room coffee service. No coffee in the hotel. I had to ask for a chair. Apparently no daily maid service.

The towels and sheet looked unclean (Not fully white), the room smelled like cigarettes smoke and in the middle of the night people were screaming and arguing. Definitely will not book this hotel again. Waste of money imo

I was woken up at 2am by someone trying to kick in a room door and then you hear ppl fighting in the hallway. No came upstairs to see if everything was ok. It was scary.

The shower didn’t work. It was loud couldn’t sleep and someone was having sex. Very disturbing

Nothing. Bathroom shower was broken. There were fights all night inside the hotel, making it impossible to get a good nights rest. There was very little amenities that was claimed to be offered. No ice machine. Again, bathroom shower was broken and not usable. There were fights inside thebhitel all night long, despite there being security. It was loud and dangerous. 117 dollars was absolutely not worth it. I will never stay here again, I will pay an extra $150+ and drive over an hour to my destination next morning, just to avoid this hotel. Regardless of location, it was pitiful.

The room was reasonably priced especially for us to only be there two days. We did see a few roaches and the sheets had burn marks. The walls had holes in them and the floors were disgusting turned our socks black. The receptionist when we checked in was more worried about being on her phone than checking us in. The customer service aspect wasn’t good either she was irritated and quickly dismissive as if we were bothering her. Will never stay here again.

Due to the area/vicinity, we called Hotel.com and spoke with an agent as well as calling the Hotel to notify we would not be coming due to the vicinity. The agent we spoke with, female said it would not be a problem and we should get in touch with Hotels.com. So fast it's a month and each on of the them (hotel/and on the online agency) have continuously blame the other. As a constant traveler, I have never had this type of an issue. I am hoping that Hotels.com will step up and do the right thing by crediting the entire amount to the credit card as promised.

Not a place for a last minute stay

Lobby and floors smelled like marijuana. Parking very limited. Remote for TV was missing from room. Reservation was for 3 adults and they only had single king bed no options. Charged 20.00 a day to park on sidewalk in front of hotel.

Yes the room was clean and the stay was amazing

The bathroom had too many complications like the toilet wouldn’t flush. The shower rack was too high so water would land on the floor and the shower-head was broken. There are cracks on the floor by the bed. The experience was terrible, the only good thing was the tv and the beds.

The building has been renovated to an extent to really try and look as nice as possible. Not their fault it's more of just a bandaid. Got some struggles but it definitely was a place to stay when we were in a pinch. Walls are suuuuuuper thin. Type of place where you listen to your neighbors tv and there's yelling matches in the hallways.

For my trip the hotel was perfect. The staff was friendly, the hotel was clean, and the location of the hotel was only about a 7 min walk to the subway, which made it very easy to get into the city.

Hotel is a fraud, photos on website don’t show the actual hotel rooms. Wallpaper peeling, neighborhood DANGEROUS. We left early and checked out because everything was broken and they refuse to refund remainder of stay. Don’t go here!!!

Main con about this place is sometimes rooms aren’t totally clean and can smell like cigarettes and of course outside environment is not much to be desired but you do pay for the location and outside isn’t the worst if you know how to navigate situations. One other thing I wish they would add is give free toothpaste and tooth brush as most hotels do.

However, several issues made the stay difficult. The windows were completely covered with decorative contact paper, so there was no way to see outside. The walls were very thin, and I could hear TVs and conversations from other rooms. There was a strong smell of smoke throughout the hotel, and doors slammed day and night. The elevator was out of service, though my room was only on the third floor. My room also had maintenance concerns: the smoke detector was pulled from the ceiling, there was a small hole in the wall, and the lighting was uneven. The bathroom light wasn’t near the mirror, and there was no closet or anywhere to hang clothes. Bedding included only a comforter—no sheets—so I was glad I brought my own. The biggest issue was the shower. The lever to turn it on was missing, so it didn’t work at all, and I had to wash up using the tub instead. This hotel is inexpensive, but guests should be aware of these conditions. I hope management will address these concerns for future travelers.

Room that I paid for on the site wasn’t the exact same room and wasn’t accommodating. & the room had burn marks on the wall and fabric of the wall coming down. & bathroom light mirror doesn’t work.

Staff is mediocre. The renovated rooms are gorgeous and chic. They also have a blue led strip light above the bed. I loved that! The tvs are super big. The showers are broken or falling apart is some rooms. The beds are super comfortable 😍 😌 👌 BEWARE of the loud music at night time especially. You complain and the staff comes up and knocks on the door but when they leave the people turn the music up all night again. They just dont care. They change prices depending what person rents! Thats not right. Also the elevator got stuck. My boyfriend was stuck for a few minutes today

I SPEND OVER $500 A WEEK HERE AT THIS UMBRELLA HOTEL. 2 TIMES I CAME AND ASKED FOR MY ROOM TO BE CLEANED WHILE IM AT WORK. I LEAVE AT 8AM AND COME BACK AT 8PM AND NO CLEANING WAS DONE IN MY ROOM. WHEN I ASK THE FRONT DESK THEY SAY THEY WILL DO IT AND THEY DONT DO IT, I HAVE TO WAIT OVER AN HOUR BOTH TIMES TO GET ROOM SERVICE AND STILL DID NOT GET THE SERVICE.

The customer service was great. They even let us check in a a half hour early however. The location while it was close to the trains it was in a bad area. The first day we stayed in the room there were homeless people and crack heads everywhere lurking by the entrance and surrounding areas. We took Ubers to and from the train station. It didn’t bother me too much but it was scary and uncomfortable for my 16 year old daughter. The street noise and police sirens keep you up and the wells are paper thin so you can hear everyone’s rooms…. Also there is remodeling going on in the building so don’t expect to sleep in because you will wake up to the sounds of drilling and loud bangs. Doors. Slamming. We ordered uber eats the first day and then spent the second day in Manhattan. It’s about 48 minutes on train and the Ubers to and from the city were about 50-80 bucks. The king bed was comfortable and the room was clean. The shower had good hot water and came with some toiletries. Oh and there is only one elevator for the entire hotel. Downstairs has vending machines and while there are corner stores nearby I consider myself pretty “urban” but the area was a little too much even for me. Better to fly in from LGA because JKF uber is 100 bucks and train was and hour and 20 minutes. Brooklyn and Queens area and of course manhattan looked safer. Lots of uber food choices nearby.

If you like the smell of smoke, then this is ideal for you, for me however, the smell of cigars and weed is not it! The facilities were however clean and okay, a good hotel if you are one a budget, but again, for me the smoke smell and atmosphere was not it.

Sheets were dirty with stained blood and they still decided it was a good odea to put it back on the bed. A lot of stuff in the room is missing or broken. Its cheap online. Pay at the front desk in cash and its going to cost you $200!!! Staff is not that friendly. They dont careabout you or your stay. When the owner is their everything is good. He's very professional and kind. Housekeeping care even less.

Small clean building, room was very clean, bathroom was clean, the only thing was the smell of cigarettes.

We stayed in a room at the umbrella in the Bronx for 2 nights to be there on Jackie Robinson day at Yankee stadium. There are a total of 3 parking spots for everyone there. You have to be an excellent driver to get your car in and out from the tiny concrete backyard that reminds me of the shu. The place was disgusting, the walls, the floor, THE BED, everything smelled like doo doo, there was what looked to be spit or something else on just about every inch of the walls. Everything was sticky and gross. My girl anmd my daughter wanted to kill me, they wanted to leave and stay somewhere else and hardly slept while we were there. We had to buy pillow cases from a store around the corner, and sheets. Aside from a couple other ppl going to the game there was nothing but crack heads, junkies and prostitutes going in and out of this place 24/7. Out next door neighbor has at least a dozen different men come and go the first night, that we noticed. When you walk out of the place and take a right you are surrounded by people, none of them friendly to say the least. People fighting on the sidewalk, in front of the hotel. If you are not from the city DO NOT STAY HERE.

The room we had original AC wasn’t working right in room 403 (so clean) called front desk and he was such a sweetheart, when I went back to lobby the new room key was ready. Room 406 was so CLEAN!! Ice machine on the 5th floor wasn’t working, Thank god there was ice cups at the corner store. The location is amazing on 3rd ave. Parking also. Smoking or non smoking room. Vending machines had raw paper also 😂!!! I WOULD DEFINITELY STAY AGAIN!!!!

We stayed at this hotel for an event that was in the Bronx. The rooms and hallways had a strong cigarette smell from people smoking in the rooms despite there being signs saying there was no smoking allowed. I stayed here with my children and didn’t feel safe because there were odd people and it seems that’s escorts frequent this location. Our room had one roll of toilet paper that was not new and the bathroom fan was making a very weird sound and there were burnt marks on the sheets

There was nothing to like. The floor was sticky. The air conditioner didn’t cool. The hallway was noisy all night. Doors were slamming, people were talking. The walls are paper thin. The doors didn’t have a deadbolt or chain on them. The lighting was poor. The windows were covered with some adhesive design so you couldn’t see out. It was disgusting.

The staff is excellent. The hotel is clean. The transportation to the major places in Manhattan could be inconvenient.

I wish i had took more pictures because this place was so gross and cringey. The rooms were dirty and when asked to change the sheets, they didn’t have any clean laundry for the next few hours. It smelled like old smoke and cat urine. The room looked used and the towels was on the side of the sink.

It’s okay the stay if you’re going to use it just only for sleep and go. During the daylight you have more options of different stores and places to eat something quickly, but during the night the environment is a little bit heavy.

This property is NOT for people out of town/tourist. Very much for New York City individuals who jst want a place to sleep or hang out. Area around property felt unsafe due to unclean individuals around. No hot coffee whatsoever on the premises. The store is 2 blocks away.

To top it all off, there was a noticeable hole in the ceiling, which added to the overall sense of neglect in the room. I expected much more from my stay and left feeling frustrated and dissatisfied. This hotel is in the worst neighborhood. It rents by the hour and I would have never stayed there if I would have know that, but it was too late to get another hotel.

I wouldn’t recommend staying here if you have another option. It’s in a really shady area, which was fine during daylight but we ubered home every night due to the lack of people/light in the area of the hotel. It’s very clearly a pay hourly hotel, which is fine. We didn’t have too many problems with what the other reviews claim to hear/see. We had to reset our key everyday which was a bit annoying, and we could hear people talking/partying at night, until around midnight I’d say. The front desk people don’t talk to you, they’re very short and honestly quite stand offish. If you’re a woman, there’s not very women that work there so it can feel a bit weird and unsafe.

I never recommend this place staring with front desk bad attitude,never change or provide service like clean towels or bed sheets so not happy at all.👎👎👎

Noticed speckles of something on the ceiling, very noisy due to construction of some sort, my toilet seat had some stains on it I thought were strange and my bed comforter or the thick blanket had some burn holes on it. I really love the bed it is very comfortable and I slept really well despite the noise.

The room I was assigned was a far cry from the advertised accommodations. The photos online were misleading, and the actual room was outdated and in need of renovation. Additionally, the staff seemed preoccupied with personal matters, offering minimal assistance and lacking in attentiveness. While the location was convenient, the overall experience was disappointing.

It was nice, first time staying overnight, didn't want to leave, but it was nice. The room was very comfortable and cozy. It had a certain vibe to it.

this hotel wasn’t bad you get what you pay for. The room and bathroom was okay and the bed was big enough to fit 3 people. It’s pretty local with stores close by that you can walk to.

Staff barely spoke to us, no parking though website said there was. Elevator broke with me and my 3 year old in it, lobby staff eventually got us out and didn’t even say anything to us when the doors opened. Not at all family friendly.

Esto es una estafa las fotos del website son completamente diferentes a los cuartos dice free cancelación cuando es mentira te cobran al momento y no te dan la oportunidad de cancelar , los cuartos en pésimo estado la ducha rota no papel de toilet nunca tendrán parking solo el hotel tiene 3 espacios de parking y necesitas pagar $20 fee por el parking , la área es sucia , el hotel pésimo desde el recepcionista hasta una persona mayor que está en la recepción en la parte de afuera no se si trabaja en el hotel los ruidos en los pasillos no te dejarán dormir es horrible no malgasté su dinero pagué $500 dólares en la reservación por dos noches solo me quedé una noche y no aguanté , los perdí por que me fui antes del día indicado como dicen lo barato sale caro y no tan barato se vende muy lindo online pero es tremenda porqueria.

The neighborhood was dirty and dangerous. The room assigned has fresh blood in the floor. The second room has a stinky carpets and the sheets were used before us. Indian front man was rough against us. I paid 200$....horribly experience

It was not clean at all and we left the hotel early but we did not get our money, the money for the day we did not stay was deposited into the hotel

The parking lot was small (3 car maximum) and was charged $20 cash to park each time I left & came back. Rooms can be booked by the hour. Condoms & weed warps are sold in the vending mechine next to chips. The workers sit behind bullet proof glass. The first room they face us was still occupied by the last booker. Unsafe, cars get stolen & it’s not the fault of the hotel even in the parking lot. I grabbed my family and left

If you don’t wait for anything this place is good for spending the night. It’s cheap, there is hot water and clean sheets

It needs to be clearer on your site what kind of hotel this is. This is not the kind of hotel tourists visiting NYC should stay at. It offers an hourly rate for a reason. However, we booked sort of last minute, the pictures on the site made it look nice, and we didn’t know the area. The walls had stains, the carpet was stained, the shower knob was hanging by a thread. No water provided. No hangars in the closet. No iron, which stunk because I brought a dress shirt to wear to a show. There was an empty pill bottle under the bench. Other than being close to the subway, this was not a pleasant experience

Poco mantenimiento, mal olor a cigarrillo y marihuana, sabanas quemadas de cigarrillos, alfombras sucias, inodoro sin tapa, en las 3 noches de mi estancia no limpiaron el cuarto ni dejaron toallas.

They canceled the day i was boarding the plane to travel to stay at this location. Then given the run around about getting a refund and accommodations for somewhere else to stay.

. The mattress had some wear and tear, but the room was clean and affordable. Other than the location (not much around, gotta train for 30 min at least to get anywhere), we had a good stay. If the "rent by the hour" scares you, I ensure you sex workers operate in regular hotels as well. It's not that frightening
