The room was filthy. The bedding had stains on them. There was food and dirt all over the carpet. The room stunk and had dead AND alive beetles and roaches in the room. I immediately checked out and refused to stay there. I would not recommend anyone staying here.

The condition of the room was genuinely shocking — not in a “budget hotel, manage your expectations” way, but in a “this should not be rented to human beings” way. Everything looked worn beyond the point of no return: the kind of wear that tells you maintenance hasn’t been a priority in years, not months. I travel enough to know the difference between a place that’s modest and a place that’s neglected. This was neglect. I didn’t unpack a single item. To the hotel’s credit, I did get my money back — which tells you everything you need to know. Even they couldn’t argue with what I was looking at. Save yourself the trip. There are better options at every price point.

What I liked about our stay was… The friendly staff, the clean room, big spacious room, that it was next door to the office for easy check in and out. What we did not like about our stay/the room was…. When you walked it to a non-smoking room it still smelled like smoke in the room, the bathroom being too small, too much light coming through the window even with the curtain closed. The platform bed made too much noise every time you sat or moved on the bed which woke us up each and every time one of us was to move or sit on the bed.

The pictures on the website did not do the property Justice. I don't think it was the same hotel in the pictures. When I went to get ice the ice machine didn't work, but I did notice gentleman loading filming equipment from a Cadillac Escalade into a hotel room, presumably to make a motion picture which requires a hotel room. The three kids standing outside my room. When I went to open the door all had ankle monitors on. I suppose the neighborhood could have been better.

When I first arrived at the location, my hopes or high that I have found a decent hotel to stay for the night just as I expected. I was wrong. I was traveling with my significant other when we decided to go get something to eat, but we wanted to check in first so we can drop off our stuff and make sure that the room was decent when we arrived back upon further inspection. The air filters needed to be replaced Bedsheets needed to be severely swapped out, and the mattress was soaked in Dried urine And they had little black spots on the mattress, cover and mattress. Next, I saw that the towels in the bathroom were not up to par either due to the stains in mysterious red stains that were on the hand towels as well but I do have a video of the bedsheets soak in somebody else’s blood and body fluids… So yeah, anybody else that wants to pour money into this poor establishment be my guess… but I definitely got compensation afterwards and immediately got my refund on the spot due to unsanitary conditions because when I asked for another room, owner of the property told me that all of the rooms were the same way.

The staff was very helpful, but they don’t do much else from what I noticed. Everything just seemed outdated and the area is super sketchy. For example: random people will knock on your car door window asking you to roll it down for whatever reason.

And it looks like there is mold/mildew on the chalking in the shower Some of the other guest were "rambunctious" - very loud and disruptive with arguing and cursing. We got in very late and check in was smooth.

I want all my money back. I had to sleep n my car bc of this. No money no id no clothes. I am calling a llawyer

The panhandlers kept approaching us and walking around the property. Didn’t feel safe to only find bullet hole in the window when we were leaving.

I felt unsafe at times with some of the people on the property esp at night. I adn’t sure if they had rooms ir were visiting.

DO NOT BOOK. Room had no air conditioner, holes in the sheets, water didn’t get hot. Crackhead smoking in the stairs.

We went to the room and it smelled of smoke instantly. This must have been a previous smoking room because of the smell,burn holes in all the sheets and burn marks on every counter. While trying to sleep there was constant door loud closings and .... oh yes the loud arguments that went on outside our door from 2am til 4am, but at least nobody got shot. As for 2 star hotels this didn't make it. I don't know what you need to be a 1 star hotel but I think we need a new rating system to include a nebula at the bottom so this motel can get a true rating.

This hotel is absolutely horrendous! DO NOT STAY HERE! We had to change rooms 3 times and ended up leaving without a refund. The first room had blood all over including the bed. The second room had cigarette burns all over bed spreads, ac and tv didn't work. I asked for a refund from the front desk person and he called the manager who said to put us in a different room. The third room had vomit all over the bed platform and the carpet, the bathroom door wouldn't work The toilet did not flush and the door wouldn't shut. The entrance door had no deadbolt. I have called Wyndham to file a formal complaint. I tried to share pictures of all 3 rooms but it will not let me upload.

My family and I traveled from Illinois to SC for my son’s graduation from basic training, we drove from SC to Newport News on November 28 (Thanksgiving Day) we only needed it for one night so I went a little cheaper than I usually do. We unloaded our car got to our rooms they were ok but again it’s for sleeping . We decided to go out for dinner , on our way out we encountered a man running from the police up the stairs my family was coming down . 3 other cop cars pulled up They pulled guns on him , I pushed my granddaughter behind me, we ran to our car realizing we were blocked in by police cars finally they moved one car and we left out of the parking lot . I decided right then we were not staying. We left to find another hotel. When we returned they had him in the cop car . But other questionable people were outside.My husband went and told them we were not staying. Not able to get a refund due to me booking through a 3 rd party . Was very disappointed that Expedia doesn’t physically check these hotels out . This area was very rundown . And I would say dangerous. I was scared with 2 military men and my husband with me. Women should not go there alone.

I went to the trouble to do the online check in, and they had me do all of the same check in activities when I got there. The bed frames were all metal and creaked a fair bit. The bathroom door opened inward to a small bathroom and stuck. I can say it was convenient to CNU, was clean, and not too expensive. So maybe just average for what I paid.

only thing was it was across the street from my sons place it had black mold all over the ceiling outside of bathroom. there was no coffee maker, bathroom door did not shut and was filthy, fridgerator was duct tape inside in several places so was the chair so did not trust sitting in it. was not informed of anything for us to have in the morning, saw no place to go to in the morning for a light breakfast at hotel. was a lot of bums and shady people up and down the stairs by our room. some waiting outside to hit up us for money and everyone else that was leaving.

To much activity going on in the parking lot. Dont feel like a safe place. Look like prostitution going on.

I couldn't make it to hotel because of covid and yet the hotel wouldn't let me cancel. Never would I go there again. Be careful when you book.

Just wasn't what i expected or am used too. There were people hanging outside the room and around the steps. It made me and my family rather uncomfortable. The room smelled and the bathroom wasn't clean. Heck the bathroom door wouldn't even shut. I'm not used to these type of hotels so its just not for me.

The first customer service work on the phone was very rude n hung up on me and the lady as the front window charged me $20 that I would get back at check out after I was already at property n paid for my room.

Too many bugs

We had 4 rooms and we didn’t stay after seeing the appalling condition. There was probably a dead hooker under the bed. It had a 7.0 rating??????? If I could attach photos I would. It smelled like raw sewage. Most disgusting place I’ve ever seen.

Place was dingy and dated. Staff were very inattentive. The water would not get hot. I reported this and was told maintenance would check it. Then I was told to let it run for 20 minutes. I ran the water for half an hour with no success. I reported this again and then was given another rooms shower. There isn’t any hot tea or coffee- no juices, not a thing for breakfast. There were several shady, underdressed women lurching around. I would not stay here.

The room was clean smelled a little musty. Bathroom configuratin was weird light switch behind the door. Light came in around door and through the curtians.

Mostly convenient, driving distance to the bank. Walking distance to gas station and tobacco store. Empty parking lot at night, no noise, safe. Shower was a breeze, had soap and shampoo. Water spilled on the bathroom, leaked to the room below.

The positives: the room was clean. The bathroom looked like it was remodeled recently. The Air conditioner worked and the water was hot to take a shower. All I needed was a bed and shower and that worked. However, it was supposed to be a non-smoking room, but it smelled like it had been smoked in and cleaned. I was on the second floor and there is no elevator. Overall it was practical and inexpensive.

The stay was very frustrating. I got a room with no Wi-Fi and called the desk repeatedly to talk to them and work out a solution. They gave me multiple suggestions all of which didn’t work. And wouldn’t move my room. I needed to do work on my lap top so it made me in trouble with work

We drove in town for a concert at the coliseum and the stay was very convenient, only a couple minutes uber to the venue. everything was clean and you can tell the owners are making upgrades and improvements! would definitely stay again

Decent . What I needed for a night stay.

Reviews were accurate. Bring your own bedding. Hair on sheets that were provided. If taking a shower at popular times may get no hot water and had to put a towel down inside tub. Breakfast was bananas powdered donuts and coffee. Room was large and better than expected by outside. Staff was helpful when we needed something.

Overall, not bad for the price. It's an older hotel, but relatively clean. The bathroom was clean except for the door, which showed some dirt. Bed was clean and comfortable. The bed spread could be washed, but I don’t use them. I stayed 2 nights and the room was tidied for me in-between. Sadly the wifi password didn't work, and I could not get attention at the front desk the next morning.

The location was very sketchy. When we got there our room smelled like pot and cigarettes. We left really early the last day because the neighbors were yelling and screaming and throwing and kicking things. Kicked our door at one point. My husband went and told the manager when we were leaving and he knew who we were talking about but did nothing about it. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone and my family and I will never be going back there.

Arrived at 11 PM and had to ring the doorbell numerous times before somebody would let me in the office for check in. The room was OK but had maintenance issues and not user friendly. For example, the bathroom faucet handle easily came off and wall that held the shower head had an internal water leak. You also had to run the shower for a few minutes to get hot water. The bathroom faucet had 10 seconds of cold water available. No folding luggage rack and to turn on bathroom light, you had to walk in bathroom and go around door to find switch. After 1st night, maid took my used hotel-provided shampoo but didn’t replace it and after 2nd night, maid took used and clean bath towels and didn’t replace. Had to use 2 hand towels after my last shower. This hotel is a text book case of immigrants buying what they hope is a cash flowing business but either don’t know what the hell they’re doing or are too cheap (or don’t have working capital) to do the right things. Either way, not good for the brand or their customers.

When we arrived, the black iron gate around the property was concerning. We felt like we were suddenly in a bad neighborhood even though it was actually a nice area of town. Once we got in the room we were greeted by a very large almost-dead cockroach in the bathroom. When we got over those two first impressions, our stay was fine. Friendly staff, comfortable beds. Minimal breakfast. Would not say here again.

The room smelled good but there were a lot of fingerprints everywhere. The bathroom was not painted and the tub had hair in it. The bed was very lumpy and squeaky.

Hotel looks clean and not over packed . Front desk are very attentive and friendly. Definitely would recommend this place to anyone visiting Busch Gardens. Doesn’t brake the bank and within 23mins . It very basic but I knew we were only really sleeping so it’s perfect for my family .

There was a huge gap under the door which allowed for bugs to enter the room and the cool air from the AC unit to escape. The lock on the door literally fell off from the door. The refrigerator did not work along with the TV remote. Additionally, I was concerned that there were bedbugs so I slept on the couch.

This hotel is awful do not stay here there were cigarette holes in the blankets pubic hairs on the beds and for a hotel that claims to be non smoking the owner comes out of her room and a trail of smoke follows her and the whole hotel reeks of it. Absolutely terrible do not stay here!

It’s a cheap place to sleep. Unfortunately, the comforter on the beds often have cigarette burns on them. The fact that is acceptable to the housekeepers & mgmt. tells you what you need to know. The bar is pretty low. The front desk is alright but If you book online - make sure your reservation is correct b/c they will do NOTHING to change it.

It was a very pleasant experience, the rooms were clean, they gave us the rooms on time, they have everything you could need, if I would definitely stay there again.

Check in is a breeze less than five minutes. My room was clean and everything worked. The staff always treat me with respect and the place is always quiet. It’s good to know I can go somewhere to get away from the riffraff.
