We had a good stay! We came to see a Cubs game, it’s only about 30-40 minutes from Wrigley Field depending on traffic. Really easy check in and out. Decent breakfast in the morning too.

The room was littered with trash and contained a used toothbrush and a charger left behind by a previous guest; the staff member's attitude and response were incredibly rude—it was truly the worst experience.

I only stayed one night, but it was a very comfortable night. Front desk were friendly. Room was clean. Recommend if your needs are straightforward.

Got told at the counter that it was not ready for us (we checked in around 3:30pm) got asked if we are ok with the 2 queen beds which was the same price so I was not too worried. Left for the day after checking in came back and the wife was trying to get the tub ready for the baby but found that the handle for the shower was not tighten so the handle rotated 360. Went down stairs to tell the gentleman and asked if we had maintenance on site he said unfortunately he already went home (understandable it was very late) but the part that I let slide at the moment was a comment he made about how come he was never told about this? Did not know I need to do a full room inspection before I can leave the hotel. So my family ended up going to a different room to shower as we also had family staying at the same hotel.

I was expecting a halal breakfast, but I found out that pork hotdogs and eggs were cooked in the same pan. For guests expecting halal food, separate preparation would be appreciated. Breakfast

The location was perfect for what we were in town for. Check in states 3. I had stated that we would probably be there about 5 or 5:30 but ended up arriving a little earlier around 4:30 and our room was not finished. No big deal, I figured that was because we were earlier than stated. We were assigned a room and watched the front desk gentlemen, Jeremy, load the card and write down 426. Since the housekeeping was not done, we decided to check out a store that was about a 10 minute walk away. We get back to the hotel at about 5:20 or so, go to the room 426 and open the door to find another guest getting into his suitcase. My husband goes downstairs to see what exactly happened and why someone else was given our room. The front desk stated that the system had us in 322, not 426. Yet we watched him load our card and hand write 426! So we get new loaded cards for 322 and head that way. We open the door to the new room and there, once again, is 3 suit cases and a blanket on the bed. There was no manager on staff and no accountability whatsoever for this horrible mix up, not once but TWICE! After that, I demanded a refund because I was not going to run the risk of them giving our room number to someone else while we were out at our daughter's concert. I asked for some kind of proof that the refund was coming and was told that they do no offer any kind of "zero bill receipt" I will be editing my review if I do not receive my credit back of $332 (which was charged to my card before I even arrived, despite it stating that I was supposed to pay at arrival) This entire experience was horrible and I would never recommend staying here. Also, as we were leaving, there was a couple that was supposed to have been able to check in at 2 that was being told they had to wait until 7. Poorly managed and poorly ran.

Booked a suite for 5 and they only stock the room with 2 towels; they refresh the room and again, leave only 2 towels. Very annoying to have to ask for more towels daily. The shampoo, conditioner, & body wash were nearly empty upon arrival; they didn't refill and we ran out and had none by the end of the stay. Cleaning staff hogged/stopped the elevators and blocked hallways every morning. Breakfast was very limited with the same options every day--they stopped restocking breakfast items with 1+ hrs to go and staff didn't speak English to understand what was being requested to be restocked. Beds were fine; would stay elsewhere next trip.

Really great hotel. Pool was a little “cloudy” but didn’t use it. Gym was standard but welcome.

Holiday Inn is always my go to hotel as the process of checking in and the complimentary breakfast is good. This particular Holiday Inn had a very good scent, like it just smell good and you an smell that walking around.

Hafsa and the staff were exceptionally helpful. They made a grieving time bearable. The check in was quick and easy. Everything was explained from breakfast available to check out. The room was mostly clean, lacking maybe a bit of attention to the bathroom. The staff was polite and helpful, but the guy who checked us in had very long fingernails and they were encrusted with dirt. Not a good look. It was very cold when we checked in, and overnight the parking lot froze. But still, the walks were cleared and safely passable. In general, this was a good place to stay.

The room smelled like smoke, and we found coffee grinds in several coffee cup lids and two industrial air filters in the room, which made us believe an attempt to cover up or eliminate the unpleasant odor.

I booked a king suite and upon arrival I was given a double queen suite.. what a bummer!! It’s just me and my wife and we wanted the king bed.

I had no towels when I checked in except for a few hand towels. They corrected that quickly. The fitness facility had just a couple of towels. The eggs in the breakfast fridge had ice crystals, there was one bruised banana. Overall, the hotel was clean and comfortable, they just need to pay a little more attention to the details.

We were assigned the wrong room the tv was not working properly. The front desk worker was not so helpful. Housekeeping cleaning the room next door but was standing outside our room talking to loud. They tried to come check us out early after I done already spoke to the front desk housekeeping came knocking at our door disturbing our sleep as they woke us up mid sleep I told them we were still sleeping I will not be booing here agin and would be advising other do the same !.

Everything from check-in to allowing us to have a late check-out was superb. The staff was accommodating and pleasant, and didn't balk when we asked for an hour later check-out due to a late event we were attending. The facility was clean, and just a nice place to stay.

But, -I did need the iron and it was broken, would not heat up at all. -I went to make coffee in the morning and found three decaf coffee pods but no regular coffee. -As I was getting ready at the bathroom counter, the overhead light suddenly went out, bulb died apparently. Did not leave me with a good impression of careful maintenance, and since I had to leave very early in the morning there was no one available at the front desk to notify about the issues I encountered. I would probably give it another chance because of the hotel overall. Lobby seemed very nice with work tables and seating, check-in staff was pleasant and efficient, and the free parking and free breakfast are great amenities.

Our Room was ok. The bathroom was dirty, and we never the cleaning lady never picked up our dirty coffee cups or refilled our machine with coffee. Poorly managed. Our bathroom did not have towels also, had to ask for them while she was in another room. The floors near the elevator were filthy around 7:30PM when we checked in. Somone split a red drink, very sweet, it was sticky and not picked up until the following day. We settled in and went back down to get out to dinner, when we came back it still had not been cleaned up after midnight. I reported to the front desk clerk, he did nothing. The food would be best not to do the eggs, sausage or cheese omelets. The quality is not the highest. I recommend the bagels, toast, yogurt and fresh fruit. Keep it to a continental breakfast. Coffee was great in the lobby.

We were in Chicago for a couple of weeks and after closing on my condo, we decide to stay at a hotel for a few days and this hotel was very clean. Very nice. It felt like a five star hotel. They had breakfast every morning very nice and hot and the place was very clean with coffee 24 hours. I will definitely recommend this place to anyone!

Very nice property. Not sure why it took so long to get my room because everything was paid in advance, but I waited a good five minutes or more for the transaction to be complete. Getting my room key. Other than that beautiful place and nice area.

Nobody was at the front desk when I arrived and I had to wait for almost 15 minutes just to check in. And when they did arrive, they were not very friendly.

The hotel was well-located for my purposes and parking was easy. Everything was fine, with my only complaint being that the breakfasts were not always well-stocked. I was wowed by the nearby Leaning Tower of Niles...not to be missed! I would stay there again.

It's unkept. Our shower dripped the entire time. Holiday Inn Express is the only property I have ever stayed in and had to kill a bug or two at two different locations. Cleaning staff never really cleaned the room. Didn't empty the garbage. Basically just changed the towels, if those were even truly changed. Needless to say, this will be our last time staying at a Holiday Inn Express.

It was very late in the evening and cold although I'm slightly mobility challenged I did state that thank you to the entire staff at the location for the upgraded suite the assist handles in the shower really did help out the modern art within the room was very good I thought that it accented the carpet in several different things made me think about being on the move and on the go and staying focused on my journey and the reason for being where I was thank you again for the upgrade to the suite at no extra charge and the late night check-in must have been around 11:30 or midnight or something thank you again to the entire staff and yes I thought the modern art found within the room and extremely good taste

The manager and employees here are the worst. I arrived late due to travel and tried messaging them and they cancelled my reservation that I had prepaid in full for. I ended up having to pay another 200$ out of pocket. Do not stay here and support these scam artists!!!

Comfortable basic room convenient to Park Ridge for my early morning appointment. The only issue — it was a bit noisy, between the room’s air conditioner and traffic on the nearby street.

Elevator button for floor 1 did not work well on one elevator. You had yo hit it hard in just the correct spot or the elevator would not go down.

Front desk staff were nice and friendly. We arrived early and had to wait about 20 minutes for someone to come to the desk. They couldn’t allow early check-in but held our bags while we explored the area. The room is nice and clean. There is nothing extraordinary, but getting exactly what you expect from a hotel is a luxury these days!

If you want to partake in the breakfast buffet, there is slim pickings after 9am. We used the fitness center each morning. The temperature was at 78 degrees. We asked for it to be changed 3 times and each morning we walked into the same temperature. They were out of clean towels and the sanitizer was broken.

Clean room, in a nice area. NO hot water so i had a extremely quick shower. I told the manager at front desk, only thing she said was, i haven't had any complaints about no hot water. That made me upset i wasnt asking about the hot water situation. Im tell you what's going on. I was up til 2 am, went to bed and at 9am i thought i heard a tapping until my door was opening saying housekeeping. So i yelled , im in here.

Not exactly sure why we paid almost $250 dollars a night and I couldn’t even get hot water in my room. As well as there only being two towels available to use. I liked the area but for the price absolute rip off. The room also had an unusual order to it. Would stay in the area again not at this hotel.

Overall fine but the loud music piped into the lobby kept my husband up during the night. It was very audible in our room on the second floor. It wasn’t until the next morning that we realized it was the lobby music.

Guy made me move my truck and trailer 20 feet after charging me $150 for taking up 5 spots. (Hotel was not full that night.)

Good area to stay night at free parking

We had a confirmed reservation through Expedia and when we got to the property near 12:00 AM, we were told that they had overbooked and they had no room for us. They didn’t offer another property or anything.

I liked that I just had to go about 4 blocks around the hotel to reach the North Branch Trail System and run 6 miles on a nice paved trail among only pedestrian and bikes, I had to cross very few streets while on the trail. Other than that the hotel fell short of expectations. The first room that was assigned to me was so smelly that I had to request to be moved to another one, which was straightforward. The water in the shower was only lukewarm even in the warmest position. At night the people next door were very noisy, and when I was already in bed around 11:00PM they opened the side door (that could communicate both rooms if requested) and a woman walked into my room. The staff had failed to lock the door on my side, which I immediately did after the woman apologized and left my room. When it was time to check out, there was no staff at the front desk, and I just left my key card in a box labeled for that purpose.

The hotel is nice. The suburb of Niles is nice. And it’s easy to get in and out of. The issue we ran into on our stay is that the hotel put something on the shower faucet handle to limit how warm we could make the water. There were quick, cool showers all around. It will make us consider if we return again to this hotel.

Free breakfast and WiFi

I had tried calling for over a week before our stay to get some information, without anyone ever picking up the phone. No hair dryer in the room, had to ask. Only 1 roll of toilet paper for 3 people. Only 2 towels. Asked for more and were never brought any. I requested a mobility stool for the shower and the first person I asked said they didn't have any. The housekeeper was still cleaning our room when we checked in, we asked her and she said to ask the front desk again. Later on we asked again when somewlse was working. He told us he would bring something up soon. He brought me a outdoor patio side table to use thay not only didn’t fit but could have been a major liability for the hotel if I had of used that. Food was ok. Pool water looked like a swamp. Was clean and descent location.

Asked for room to be freshened and towels. 4 hrs later, nothing. Had to complain to front desk again for service.
