Also I ordered a smoking room. Why advertise smoking rooms if none available. Don’t go here. They’re cheaper options nearby that are cleaner.

The bed itself was comfortable The staff looked miserable and for good reason. The area was awful and felt very unsafe. I would absolutely not go again nor would I recommend to anybody else.

This was my absolute worst hotels.com experience hands down. The room was so dirty that I tried to cancel my reservation, a first ever. And I’ve stayed in some funky places but this takes the cake. The furniture had crusty stains like 3-D stains, the remote control was covered in some kind of sticky goo, sheets stained, burn holes in the blanket, bathroom was a nightmare. Had to wake up at 4am to catch a flight. There was a prostitute coming in and out of an open room, homeless guy (very nice guy) sleeping outside my room on the stairs. I have no idea how this hotel got a good rating. Would never stay here again.

This place always make me and my children feel welcomed and at home. Despite the area/ location the Owners/ management always makes sure we are and feel safe.

This place is great

The office for this motel is a bullet proof window and a drawer. People live in this motel and we heard some of them screaming at 3:00a.m.
- 4/5
The Room size was more comfortable, bathroom was ok, with nice bedsheets, but their conforter is too old they need to change it, nice environment, assessable for transportation, especially buses to most train stations, etc, etc.
- 5/5
I absolutely appreciate how comfortable my stay was. And the cleanliness and condition of the rooms it was relieving to be able to finally find a hotel that wouldn’t make me feel out of place because I have four children.

Very comfortable room, nice staff.

Very peaceful and like home. Friendly staff and great housekeeping

Because the neighborhood isn't the safest, the fact that the door had no safety lock on it was a concern for me. Also, the WiFi was spotty. Other than that, everything was clean, there was a refrigerator in the room, huge plus. And it was clean.
- 5/5
Very helpful and curtious staff . Paola was exceptional. Good last minute accommodation.
- 5/5
No fridge or microwave. ONLY complaint
- 4/5
There are few restaurants in the area. But there is a shopping mall close by. the hotel sign is not outstandingly obvious, can be missed when driving by. But the property is clean and well looked after. The room is very clean. the fridge is excellent. there is no microwave. Shower is clean and working fine. toilet is also clean. sink in the room is excellent. well lit mirror. overall excellent.

I’m not one to rate hotels low. However, I think it’s necessary in this case. The staff was ok. But the motel was definitely a crack den. The furniture in the room looked like something that was found on the side of the road. I also had a crack addicted person knock on my door and ask if I had some hard. This place isn’t safe for a single woman or family.
- 2.5/5
There were no working vending machines. No microwave. No telephone for out going phone calls. Public transportation for this location was not very user or rider friendly. I flew into San Francisco and had to take an almost 2 hour public transit trip
- 2/5
There is no front office. The front desk is just a bullistic glass window like a drive through at the bank. Room door had been broken in before and the strike plate to the dead bolt was not fixed well. Result door does not seal the noise out. Many homeless and other people yelling in the parking lot. Very rough neighborhood nothing good near by. Won’t be staying there again.

Dangerous neighborhood felt unsafe.. room smelled like a chimney got migraines from the smell
- 1/5
We got in at midnight and the guy at the desk was pleasant but we got in the room, turned the sheets down and slept in our clothes not touching anything. We fortunately had taken showers at home just before leaving on our trip but we were not about to open our suitcases in the room. Thankfully nobody shot us as we drove out of town! There are worse looking motels in Oakland so this is not even the bottom of the spectrum.

Everything Was dirty the remote control was greese the sheets had stains on them I dnt think they changed the sheets recently

Its located In the middle of nowhere i was thinking that would be good thing but little did i know it was to busy outside at night.
- 2/5
Surface clean, but this place needs gutted or torn down!!
- 1/5
Shower trickled, then wouldn't drain on 2nd day. Very loud and noisy neighborhood.
- 1/5
Like something out of a movie. The place is filthy, the neighborhood is beyond scary, with homeless people roaming around, everything locked up behind bars and grates, sketchy cars cruising slowly around. The room was worse, cigarette-burned sheets and bedspreads and furniture. Greasy chairs, slippery carpet. The towels are so old that they feel like sandpaper. The wi-fi didn't work even after three trips downstairs to the front desk to ask the completely disinterested and disengaged manager to please fix it. This is one of the most depressing places I have ever experienced and looks like a good setting for a snuff flick or slasher movie. "Low-rent" and "sleazy" are kind descriptors. There is a really good taco place across the street, though.
- 4/5
On a loud road but it was close to verything we needed. The room was clean but the bed was hard. Staff didnt speak much english but had pre-written signs they could point to to give us the information we needed.
- 4/5
We stay here. Often, friendly service, comfortable room & central location
- 1/5
We stayed three nights at this motel only to be disturbed all hours of the night by different people looking to buy drugs. There is obviously some sketch dealer that lives on the property that the staff is completely oblivious or they’re in on it. It was absolutely ridiculous and unacceptable how often there was yelling or something crazy happening outside. The air conditioner is so old that it’s so loud when you have it on. To top it all off, orbitz DID NOT give me the orbitz bucks for staying there 3 nights. One night was supposed to be $5.15 earned and so on and I received nothing. Overall bad.
- 3/5
The room itself is pretty standard. Not sure if it was room service staff or the previous occupants, but the room smelled like incense, which was a nice contrast to the usual smell of smoking rooms. The water pressure in the shower was awful and the shower head was small, the towels have been used and washed so often without replacing that there were tears in ours. MacArthur is a loud street and cheap motels attract loud people. That really can't be helped. Of the three nights, only one of them came without having to hear drama coming from other folks staying there, and the best rest I got was when I left my headphones in. Rooms was clean. Shower was bad. Other guests were loud and annoying. Staff was super nice and helpful. Solid 3 for acceptable and average.
- 3/5
i felt a very bad energy in the area and wish not to stay in that hotel another time
- 2/5
Check-in is through a window near the street. There is no office to go inside. Hotel staff was not immediately available. Was waiting outside check-in window while unsavory individual approached me.
- 1/5
the rooms had a smell, drugs sold in parking lot , felt unsafe to walk to my car. I will never stay there again , much rather stay in my car under a bridge .
- 4/5
Was ok. My experience was okay..but unwanted roaming around of non guest was seen. That is not ok.
- 2/5
Area is dangerous, just don't stay there.

I did not like the fact that I'm a disabled 48 yr man who has a sight disability and because I didn't know I needed a $100 deposit was mad to walk the streets of a town i did not know all night because of a deposit and really who makes them walk alnight
- 2/5
Scary place, pretty sure it's a brothel, women and men coming and going all night and day. The pictures show a fridge there are no rooms with a fridge. NO amenities. If you did have a problem you there isn't a phone to call the police and the desk doesn't answer. It's not worth even half of what they charge. Stay near the coliseum or in Berkley
- 3/5
Room was nice considering price & location. Would stay at location again.
- 1/5
Stay away from this area!! The neighborhood is scary and not safe to stay in. On the way there we saw a sign saying "my hood active" and when we got to the hotel a couple of cars looked like they have already been broken into.
- 1/5
Well for starter, the hotel manger was excally f**king rude and nasty tone of voice! Wasn't willing too work anything out wit, so I was forced too seat in a well known area we're there a bunch of shooting happening everyday!
- 3/5
Stay for 2 nights on the bottom floor it gets really loud at night felt unsecured during the day it was totally different staff is friendly and is very clean The taco place across the street is the best part Zacatecas is great we had breakfast, lunch and dinner I will go back just for the tacos .

I never got to stay in my room at this place! The guy gave my room away even though it was paid for. Then he shows me a room that smells like dog urine and says I can have that one. I said no thanks give me my money back. I had to call hotels.com from the parking lot and they ended up giving my money back. But they never offered to find me a room for the night, nor did they offer me a free room for having to sleep in my car since all of the hotels were full. I would think they would want to keep my business but I guess not. Plus, this place is in a really bad neighborhood. please have someone contact me
- 1/5
it was a very iffy neighborhood. Immediately approached by homeless people when I checked in. Rooms smell like smoke, but adequate. Only stay here as a last resort or if you don't mind a ghetto area where people live in some of the rooms.
