Residence Inn by Marriott Near Universal Orlando™

Clean, large room for our family of 5. Only complaint was temp of room and AC kept cutting off and on.

All the staff were great, helpful and polite. Suites with kitchenette, 2 beds, bath, small living room & desk was pretty good. Breakfast buffet in the morning was pretty good too. Tasty free coffee & tea in reception area was always well stocked (although offering ice water there too should be an essential). WiFi worked well in room. Beds were clean & cozy. The hotel amenities need improvement though. Pool closes early at 8pm and there’s no jacuzzi. The BBQ gas grills were completely broken and looked like they’ve been that way for years. The outdoor firepit hang out area advertised and highlighted in the pictures online never had a fire lit at all and likely never does. The hotel only had 2 luggage carts for the entire 500? rooms hotel (1 of them had a flat tire and barely worked) so you had to go hunting for one or wait for one for too long. Hotel easily needs to buy 10+ more luggage carts and put them on every floor near every elevator and plenty more in the lobby (I had to hunt on every floor to find one, twice). That way guests can quickly find them when checking in and out. Overall the staff were stellar and the room was good, but the amenities all need to be upgraded and some TLC.

This location was a little below expectations. Service was ok - room for improvement. Rooms could use some dusting, especially behind and under the couches and bed. Breakfast was standard - sausage, eggs, cereals, oatmeal, waffles, etc. Always appreciate a hot breakfast. Area was kept clean and stocked during our entire stay. We did use the convenience store and it is helpful to have one when you need essentials or just late night ice cream. Location is ideal to everything, especially Universal. We took advantage of the free bus shuttle and it was perfect! Didnʻt have to pay for parking or worry about where I parked the car. Overall, would stay here again.

This was such a great place for my family to stay on our weeklong vacation. We stayed in a suite with 2 queen beds and a sofa bed so all 5 of us had a place to sleep. We appreciated how quiet our room was at night. I only heard other guests in the hotel a few times. The free breakfast was convenient and tasted good. The thing we all really loved was having a full-sized fridge and a place to cook. I have to be really carefully about what I eat for health reasons, so it was great to be able to cook my own food instead of going out and not knowing if I was going to feel sick afterwards. My family also enjoyed being able to store fresh fruits and vegetables in the fridge. Our room had 2 sizes of saucepans and a frying pan for cooking. There was a glass measuring cup, measuring spoons and a strainer. On one night, we wanted to cook something in the oven, but there wasn't any kind of a cooking sheet. We contacted the front desk and within 15-20 minutes they were able to provide us with one. The staff was great. I would definitely stay here again!

The staff were very polite and friendly. The breakfast was excellent. Breakfast had a variety of foods included. The rooms are comfortable stayed 10 days with my wife and 8 year old soon. Location near Universal Studios, restaurants shopping areas.

It was a pleasant mini suite overlooking the lake on the third , Floor very clean, pleasant quiet, great bed, king-size bed at that,,, I do recommend

The shower Head was broken, and the bathroom doors were a little loose. However, overall it was a nice place to stay, especially if you are visiting Universal and looking for a convenient location near the park.

Our stay there was amazing most definitely will be back soon! all the staff members where so nice, kind , friendly , and amazing people overall we had a wonderful stay!

Beautiful place, room was spacious and clean, quiet. Staff, very friendly. Breakfast was same fare as your typical fast breakfast. Not much choice in protein, typical waffles, no flavor. No grits, no biscuits, gravy.

We had a great stay at the hotel. The rooms were clean, and the staff were courteous. Guests receive free shuttle services to Universal Studios and the Epic Universe which is conveniently. The free breakfast selection was amazing as well. Overall a great experience.

The most friendliest reception staff. Went above & beyond to help with anything. Spotlessly clean Rooms are big with a lovely kitchen. Free parking here which is rare. Breakfast had something for everyone & coffee is great. We would definitely recommend staying here.

Nous avons séjourné 6 jours en avril 2026. Le petit déjeuner était super mais j’aurais aimer pouvoir y aller un peu plus tard que 9h30. Le service d’un employé pour gérer les demandes à propos de Universal était super. La navette vers Universal passe 4 fois matin et soir et donne donc différents choix selon vos besoins. Le personnel très courtois. J’y retournerais sans hésitation. La distance de marche entre l’hôtel et Universal est de 25 à 30 minutes. Nous l’avons marché 1 fois.

I will not stay at a Residence Inn again. First, at check-in, we were told our room was no longer available for the first time. They reduced our rate by $100 per night. The room was not worth the reduced rate. The furniture was worn and torn, the sofa bed was stained and the room was not what we needed nor was it anything near the picture we were sent. Second, the cable was out for over 24 hours. Nothing like missing playoff games. Third, junk fees. A charge for using a Mastercard?!? Never again. I will be returning to the Hilton hotels for now on.

The breakfast was ok and the location was great for Universal there's also a shuttle to Universal and an in-house concierge for theme park tickets. First when we arrived the receptionist didn't acknowledge us we just stood there until he looked up, he didn't explain where anything was at only breakfast was at 7a. Once in the room we found there was NO TV service for the entire stay they claimed it was a network issue, the toilet didn't flush had to call for maintenance and I put in to have the room freshened up we left at 8:45 a came back at 4:30 p the room hadn't been touched towels and garbage still in the room. The maid showed up after 5 pm. I didn't go to the pool because there were signs to beware of snakes and alligators. Oh and the pillows on the bed were like marshmallows mushy and flat. Think I'll try somewhere else next time. Oh and we have an extra $33 charged I'm looking into also.

The TV didn’t work. The room smelled. Entry outside the front had garage overflow and drinks spilled all on the floor. the elevator had trash and chips on the floor. Nothing like the pictures. Will not stay again.

Everything was perfect! Sofabed was very uncomfortable. Big Curtain by bed looked like it had a stain of dried bl**d on it...could of been make up.

The location was perfect for us as it offered very easy access to and from our destinations, making our travel back and forth completely stress-free. ​Special Holiday Touch ​The highlight of our trip was definitely Easter Sunday. The hotel organized an Easter egg hunt involving the staff and the guests. It was so much fun for the whole family and made our holiday stay feel extra special. It’s rare to find a hotel that goes above and beyond like that! ​Final Verdict ​A clean, comfortable, and family-friendly hotel with a staff that truly cares. We would definitely stay here again! Lack of room garbage pickup for 6 day still was lacking. Overall good breakfast, nice pool (not heated) and close to Universal Studios and amenities.

Stayed 5 nights here. Friendly staff and easy checkin. Free shuttle to Universal Studio. We missed shuttle but Uber only costed $7 for us. Our family loves the bright and spacious room facing the pool. Full kitchen has everything we need to cook simple meals. No tub but the shower has good water pressure and is easy to get in and out. Breakfast is good. Overall, solid choice if you are looking for a room with kitchen near Universal.

Excellent location. Literally one mile from Universal Studios. Public shuttle picks up guests from the hotel and brings back from Universal Studios. Decent breakfast is included. Nothing fancy, plastic cutlery, paper dishes, standard American options. Property looks a bit outdated, renovation is already requires. Some furniture was broken in our room.

I think we have finally found our Universal Studios hotel! We have traveled to Orlando approximately 10 times over the past few years. We have stayed at different hotels, trying to find the best value for our adventures to Universal and Islands of Adventure. This hotel exceeded our expectations - the price was extremely reasonable for all the hotel had to offer. Everything was clean, the breakfast was fresh and provided many choices, the staff was friendly, there was no additional parking fee, the room was a great size and the beds were comfortable. In addition, the hotel was very close to the parks and I felt very safe there. While we only stayed one night, this hotel would be great for a multi-night stay due to its well-stocked kitchen area and room layout. We will definitely be back! I don't know of anything.

The room was not cleaned inspite of informing the front desk . Had to call 4-5 times before the anything was sent to the room and wait for 2 hrs before it was sent

Breakfast was hit or miss. Some days it was good others it left much to be desired. Adding a fruit salad and cottage cheese could have improved breakfast.

Nice room, but they should put more accessories in the kitchen. We are a family of 5 and only 3 forks and knives where there. Same thing with bath towels. They always left only 4 towels and we had to ask for more. Staff brought our things fast and they are really nice. Available food in the breakfast buffet is change everyday. We would stay there again.

I left some resistance bands in the room by mistake and I realized it after the check out. We called a few times and went back there and the staff didn’t help finding them

The room smelled like dog pee. We asked for a new room everyday for 4 days before we were asked to pack up, and we could move at the end of the day. When we got back we were again told no, try tomorrow! Day 5 of 8 we were finally allowed to move rooms.

We have a lovely stay

We checked in at 1:00 am, we got to the room and the ac wasn’t working. We contacted the front desk and to our surprise the hotel doesn’t have an overnight engineer that can fix anything and there was no other room available. The front desk lady is the only one working in a 300 room hotel, she was very nice and kept apologizing to me and saying it was out of her hands. The. The morning supervisor told me that since I had booked with Expedia, she couldn’t refund my money, not only I will never recommend this place but I will never stay there again.

Rom clean staff friendly played on miniature golf and celebrated our 35 anniversary. Only issue we had was in booking you hotel we were told our stay would be $ said amount but on checking out we were charged $23 more. I must admit I did have few items I ordered from Amazon but I was told you don’t charge for packages so we couldn’t understand why the extra charge, this first time having this experience because I love Residence Inn.

Wonderful stay! We stayed in a double queen room and it was plenty big enough for us (my son and I). It was clean, the kitchen had essentials if you wanted to make your own dinner, a nice big fridge with icemaker and even a pitcher to make your own drinks! Beds were comfy, the bathroom was super nice. And it's literally across the road from Universal. So if you do not want to stay on property, this was so convenient. The breakfast was also amazing, there was so many options. Will definitely stay here again!

First room provided was not clean at all. Asked what happened to our room. They said sorry and said they would send someone up to clean it. After i went back up to the 3rd floor that our room was in. We waited and then a supervisor came up to our room and told us that our room was changed to the fifth floor. Ok. So we gathered our belongings and went up. After that, I went back down to get the room keys, and told the front desk that our room was changed by a supervisor. However, front desk guy said that it wasnt possible because there were no rooms. So i called my family and told them to gather their stuff and head back down to the third floor. Then we were told, that it wasnt a mistake and so i had to send my family back up

The room was okay. We expected them to have the blankets and pillows needed for our stay since our daughter was sleeping on the couch, but they ran out of sheets and pillows. Thankfully we had a sleeping bag with us from the long trip.

Our room that we had paid for was given away on our first night. We only found out upon arrival as an email was sent to us during our flight to advise us that they were putting us in an alternative hotel due to them giving our room which we had purchased for and checked-in prior to our arrival. This wasn't a great start to our holiday having to have travelled for 24 hours with two young toddlers. Spent a lot of time arguing and chasing, something that we didn't need at the beginning of our holiday. The only staff that was helpful was front desk staff Kourtney.

It’s a nice hotel. Staff is friendly and the hotel is clean. They only con is the beds are horrible! I’ve stayed here a few times before.

It was very clean and quiet. The area was more vacationers that you really needed to rent a car. I use Uber a lot. I didn’t find that there were a lot of places to eat. The pool was great having Universal Studios was close by, you could buy your tickets at the resort saved time and it’s convenient, I didn’t see any pets, but I prefer to go to a hotel that does not have pets.

Once you enter the hotel, it smells fresh and is clean. The concierge was super sweet amd helpful, check-out was seamless. Our room was neat and tidy. The room (suite) was a 10/10 as well, bigger than expected especially the bathroom. Breakfast was delicious with many stations and options. This is a hotel I will definitely stay at again and recommend to those who want comfort and luxury for an affordable price.

Room was very large with kitchenette and large bathroom. Very clean. Nice large l shaped couch but was not very comfortable. Also the king bed we had felt like you were laying on plywood. My back hurt so bad every morning. We asked to switch rooms but hotel was booked solid until later in the week, so they gave us extra comforters to try and soften the bed. Didnt do much but helped a tiny bit.

We stayed for three weeks and there were 4 of us in a suite and my children are 10 and 11. The hotel was a perfect choice for us; 25 min walk to Universal, decent enough pool, room was superb size with very comfy beds and tons of space to even do yoga in the mornings. The only thing stopping me giving this a five star review was the breakfast was a bit repetitive and unimaginative. Aside from that totally suited our needs and would highly recommend.

The only issue I had was that there was no lotion in the room - not sure if hotels are not doing that any more but I think that it's essential. Also there was loud music throughout the night coming from a nearby nightclub. To be honest it was disturbing but everything else was so good especially the staff that I didn't make it an issue.

The music from across the lake played until 4:30 all Labor Day weekend.

I always enjoy their breakfast, the rooms are always nice and spacious, and the staff is always helpful and friendly.

We stayed here for 5 nights family of four. Spacious room, comfy beds and everything you need from a bottle opener to dishwasher detergent. We could have stayed longer! You could walk to Universal however we got Ubers or travelled with Lyft which was cheaper. Cost around 6 dollars but price increases during busier times. There is a free shuttle from the hotel to universal. We used this once which was very busy. Pool area is small and quiet which we loved having 1 rest day the day before we headed home. Would definitely recommend this hotel ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The Residence Inn was great for me and my son trip to universal Studios. Convenient and comfortable, not to mention the breakfast in the morning certainly helped!

It is very close to Universal's parks. With many places to eat nearby but the breakfast option was very limited.

Very very nice Hotel. My family and I were there for a week and we had a great experience.

Room was spacious and well equipped with full kitchen. Sofa was more comfortable than the fold out sofa bed which was too soft. Complimentary laundry detergent and dryer sheets was a nice touch. Wish people were more considerate with removing their clothes from the dryer promptly.

We were really pleased with this hotel. Very friendly staff, nice breakfast (not too busy) and a very spacious room. It was like an oasis of calm after a busy day at Universal. Free parking was great and location excellent to get to the parks 5min drive, 20min walk). We used the free shuttle bus every day and it runs at convenient times. We particularly liked the 5:20 bus back as we could then take the hire car back in and make use of the free parking after 6 at city walk. Room was nice and clean on arrival. We would definitely stay here again if in Orlando and recommend it to anyone looking for a budget friendly place to stay near universal. The only thing that could have been slightly better is more attentive house keeping. I think they must have had the number of people staying in the room as two rather than 5. Every other day was fine and they did a great job but we did have to ask for a toilet roll, replacement conditioner, tissues and the right number of towels. These things didn’t bother us as it reduces any wastage, but may bother other people.

Everything about the stay was perfect. The shuttle to Universal Resorts was a pleasant surprise and saved us on parking fees.

The breakfast was good every morning we was there. We didn’t use their transportation since we had our own but the beds was comfortable but if you use the sofa bed you will need to go buy a topper since it’s one that you piece together with different sections. We had room number 134 and I suggest if you have children ask for another room the shower literally drains into the middle of the bathroom floor or either be prepared to go by mop as I did to help soak up some of the water. This happens because it is a handicap, equipped room to roll a wheelchair in the shower. The front desk was very nice and did give us extra towels to help with the water also. The pool is a nice regular size pool but be prepared to take towels as there was no towels at the pool area.

Loved our room, very spacious and relaxing! Amazing to have a kitchen for my husband and I. Being a pregnant lady, I loved having my snacks stored in the fridge and having silverware. The room stayed nice and cool the whole time, great for when we returned from a hot day at Universal!

These were probably the largest hotel rooms I've ever seen. Our room had lots of space with a kitchen and utensils - everything someone might need for a few days. The huge bonus was the FREE transportarion to Universal parks. Make your reservation with the park agent near the front desk. Would definitely stay here again!

Opportunities for this property include: - Security badging in elevators is needed. Should someone enter the building who shouldn't be there during daytime hours, they can access any floors with no problem, as the front desk is not manned 24/7. After hours, it'd be easy to piggyback with anyone else coming in. - My security latch did not work and I had to move rooms at 1:00 a.m., which was not favorable. - My room could have been much cleaner...the kitchen floor looked like it hadnt been scrubbed in quite some time. Details matter, and there were several other things that could have been cleaned like the side of the nightstand and the upholstery on the sofa. Lastly, for the light sleepers like me. I was in a King suite (both the original and second room). The air vent is directly in front of the bed and woke me up everyvtime the air turned on and off.

Great if you are going to Universal. They offer transportation to Universal including Epic. They offer breakfast daily and free parking. There are food options nearby and Walgreens is also close by. Overall we had a great stay. On more than one ocassion my family was questioned on what room we were staying and I'm not sure if they thought my niece and brother came from off the streets or what. On the first day I asked for someone to refill the body wash in our room and this request was never fulfilled.

Guests this is a biggie. Clearly represented as there, we were told they had been out for weeks, and a new pair was coming; we could go across the street to a sister hotel. I asked for an an adjustment, was told I would hear from A manager I said ok. Didn’t happen.

Everything so fine. Just saw some aesthetic things that needed to be fixed and housekeeping didn't respond a couple of times when we asked for extra towels. Front desk staff was very helpful.

Hotel is clean and well kept! The room was clean with free coffee and tea. I love that the pool started at 3 ft for my little one. The free breakfast was fresh, nothing fancy but just enough for free breakfast. My kids enjoyed it. Free parking was amazing! The location was great. The bed was extremely comfy. Be prepared to walk since there is only 1 elevator with wrap around units but if you park near am exot door you can use the stairs. All in all would definitely stay here again instead of the sea world location.

Our room had an odour from the AC. It was very evident each time we returned to the room. The staff were great and very helpful. Breakfast was great and well stocked. The pool could have been cleaner. Looks like it needs a deep cleaning. We were happy with our stay and price point.

Only thing that would’ve made it better would’ve been to have more bathtub options for my wife and daughter but that’s a minor inconvenience for all of the other benefits. They tried to move things around but the hotel only has 4 bathtub rooms and they are handicap access. They have a shuttle that runs to Universal Studios in the morning multiple times and one that comes back to the hotel in the afternoon and evening for free. Just get your reservation in early for the shuttle and DON’T BE LATE!! The drivers have to stick to a tight schedule. This place is a great value and we will be staying here again on the next trip!

Nice and clean and friendly service

The Suite was a great room. Nice sized pool. Breakfast was really good.

I was surprised how spacious the room was. We had two queen beds in a studio. The layout was very spacious. Highly recommend this hote.

Additionally, the common areas, such as the pool and the restaurant, exceeded my expectations in both cleanliness and comfort. We loved this property. The room was so clean and comfortable. It was so convenient to have a laundry room on the premises. We just wished check out wasn’t so early. We didn’t want to leave.

The place is great for the most part. It’s close to universal with about a 20-25 minute walk to citywalk. The room was nice and spacious. However the worst part is that the ac units are right next to your bed and it’s pretty obnoxious during the night. Woke my husband up every time. Also the bed was pretty firm (not my preference). Otherwise the breakfast was great with many options daily. The front desk was always cheerful and kind. Also the Japanese steakhouse near by was great!

Great stay

Carry your own paper towel, hand wash because you won’t get it despite asking multiple times. Either those are out of stock, or the service personnel just ignore you. Giving 1less star only due to poor housekeeping otherwise the hotel is great.

I reserved a room and prepaid in full days in advance, I also checked in online a few hours before I arrived. When I arrived they said they didn’t have a room for me there and sent me to a nearby hotel which was clean but appeared to be a lower star rating.

Beds were not comfortable at all and sofa mattress need to change. Other than that hotel very nice

Good, clean and convenient to Universal

We stayed here for a week. The rooms were clean, staff attentive. It was a great experience!

The stay was good. Enough space in the suite. Great amenities. Problem was the hotel is old. Beds and pillows are not comfy enough. Water pressure in the bath was bad. AC worked fine but vent was situated in such a way that half the room got all cold air while other half did not.
