Sheraton Orlando Lake Buena Vista Resort

Last year, we stayed at this resort during its construction phase, which unfortunately resulted in a subpar experience. However, this year, the improvements have been completed, and the resort has transformed into a much better place to stay. The rooms were spotless and in pristine condition, and the lobby and pool area were equally clean and inviting. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and are already looking forward to returning next year!

Wonderful and relaxing. Room are clean and comfortable with a balcony. Easy to park, check in and out. Pool area is also nice with lots of chairs and umbrellas to lounge. Pool area also has a grill/bar where you can order from. Close by to many things to do outside of hotel.

The location was great, very central very close and the staff was more than welcoming I was surprised to find that the rooms were not equipped with a microwave, especially the Family Suites-which is very crucial these days-even the most economical hotels have this amenity… Also, the rooms are not stocked properly for the amount of guests they hold… Very minimal supplies are available.

I was pleasantly surprised but this resort style hotel. The grill and bar at the pool was perfect and the rooms and areas were clean. They had another restaurant also which I didn’t eat at but probably should have. They had a marketplace within the hotel which was perfect for snacks and drinks. The pool was super clean and the room itself was mostly updated and really nice. The ONLY negative I have is that the AC was soooooo loud and clanky which to be honest was a really annoying. The TV also needed a guide of some sort to see channels. You never knew what you were watching and not much of a selection. Would I stay here again….absolutely! Great time :)

The pool was great! My husband and I spent more than four hours at the pool one of the days. We loved that little kids were not running around screaming and splashing water all over us…this was so refreshing. I highly recommend to buy the breakfast package, the selection is great and healthy but for us, the winner was the coffee, it was delicious.

Cockroaches in the room and was crawling on our clothes. When we told staff we received a new room. When we asked about compensation they told us nothing until the end of our stay they comped the hidden fees where they double charge you at checkout for 100$ for “resort daily fee” and extra taxes even though you already paid for your room. Then when checking out they “accidentally” charged me over 300$ and I still have not received a refund. This place also looks nothing like their pictures and is very janky.

Clean room easy access to the parks was good for a short weekend trip

We had planned to use the advertised shuttle services to and from the Disney parks. However, the shuttle is only offered at one time per day and not at a time that the parks open or close. Not a true shuttle service that is useful.

The room was spacious and spotless, creating a welcoming atmosphere. The gym was fully equipped, meeting all my workout needs, while the pool area was truly inviting. Though I had to wait briefly for an umbrella, the helpful pool attendants made the experience pleasant. The jacuzzi provided a delightful relaxation, and both check-in and check-out processes were seamless and hassle-free.

Excellent service The area is excellent many restaurants and close to the disney parks and disney springs. The front staff was very attentive And the young male in the valet parking area sorry not sure of his name but he wears a blue polo shirt that was greeting everyone on Sunday May 17 in the am “ Was simply great “ We are definitely staying at this property again.

This was my 2nd time staying here. The property has 2 beautiful pools and nice hot tub. Room are clean, beds and pillows are comfortable. For it being a decent sized resort it is very quiet.

The room is beautifully remodeled. However we were trapped in the elevator 3 times and had to be rescued. We were on the 6th floor climbing 6 flights of stairs at tje end of a long park day ia no fun as the elevator was stuck again. They day we left we had to haul all of our luggage down 6 flights of ataira because elwvator was stuck again. And we had NO HOT WATER the entire stay.

We checked in early and the person helping us was so helpful and very nice. The resort smelled nice and was very clean in the lobby. We went to our room and it was updated and very nice and spacious. We had a balcony room and it overlooked the pool area. We enjoyed the pool and had drinks and lunch by the pool. The food and drinks were really good and they serve very big portions. My major complaint was the amount of people that were smoking weed!!! We smelled it several times while trying to enjoy the pool. There were several different rooms with balconies that we witnessed people smoking. There was a man that sat at the bar to order a drink and he was smoking weed right a the bar! It was so strong that it was gagging us. Luckily he left before we got our lunch. On the day we were checking out, I went out on our balcony to get our swimsuits to pack up and the smell of weed hit me in the face. It was so STRONG! I immediately closed our door and the smell had already made its way into our room and stunk up the room. I think it is ridiculous that the hotel allows this to happen! I liked the resort, but would not stay there again because of that. We are Disney Annual Passholders and visit Orlando quite regularly and was hoping this would be another resort we could add to our list of places to stay, but this one is not.

The hotel is really close to the parks, very convenient and lots of restaurants in the area.

I didn't like the fact I asked was there any additional charged and i was told no. But at arrival i was charged a $100 deposit and $50 a night for resort fee for parking etc.

Was given a room on the second floor with a view on the storage containers. Very depressing view for a vacation. Staff is not friendly and helpful. Overall property is nice but very poorly maintained. Pool was amazing as well the breakfast but you will be forced to pay 18% service charge on everything...

The AC in the room is old and loud. The cleaning staff was really nice and so were the pool attendants. The restaurant inside was closed and food was only available from the pool area, that staff was not great. The staff at the front desk was unfriendly and did not make you feel welcome to the hotel.

Room was great minus the bedroom not getting cool. Elevators were the worst. I got stuck in one with my twin 4 year old briefly, which thank god my husband heard me screaming and there was another guest there to help. The same guest that helped decided to risk it and got stuck again, tried telling housekeeping but they had ZERO idea what I was saying in English. My husband had to go tell them at the front desk what was going on. I can’t stay here again even though everyone was super friendly and it was a nice room. As someone who has a fear of elevators, didn’t bode well.

I booked this hotel for our first night in Orlando and it was very nice and newly renovated. We moved to another hotel that was more than double per night for the 2nd night and room was not nicer, the only benefit was location. It you don’t need walking distance this is perfect with a nice room clean bathywhoch matters to me.

Washroom was very small and flush wasn't working properly. We requested to change the room but they said they are full and don't have anything to switch.

The room did feel safeit felt like I was on thevback of unfinished room the elevator was working properly and the staff was trying to charge me for using the gym hot tub and swimming pool and the weather was extremely cold I didn't enjoy my stay at all.

The staff was great, when I arrived I was told there wasn’t any king rooms left but was quickly resolved. That was something I can appreciate. The room was great. There was definitely a lot of construction during the day, couldn’t nap at all. Also with the construction it made the travel to the room a litter further which a nice walk, but nice facilities overall.

It took three tries, three clerks and 90 minutes to get the room we requested -- two beds w mobility accessible bath and roll-in shower. In the end, we had to settle for one bed. Secondly, housekeeping knocked on the door at 9:45 pm when we were getting ready for bed! Lastly, an accessible room should not have a mattress 3 feet off the ground. My wife has arthritis, and I needed to help her on and off the bed each time.

Did not get the promised suite, got 2 rooms with credit. Heater did not work the 2nd night. Heater was fixed later and a new AirPod missing from the room. One TV had to warm up before display. Shower valve to the shower head did not work properly. Curtain in both rooms did not work properly.

Pool area is great and the only decent part of the hotel. The rest of the hotel is in dire need of a major overhaul. Shocked this is branded as a Sheraton/Marriott. The rooms were rough as were the windows on the ground looking out at the pool area being filthy and permanently fogged or cloudy. Area was great, but as a loyal Marriott guy, not what I am used to. With some love though, it could be great again.

10/10 we are enjoying the day

We didn’t have water when we arrived and then did not have water for 10 hours the following day. Then we did not have hot water the following night. The fitness room was closed which we were not told in advance or at check out. The staff was all very nice.

No hot water for 12 hours, they turned the front desk phones off, I guess because they were getting so many complaints. What if there was an emergency? No microwaves in the room or on the floors, and the on-site store was already closed when we arrived at 5pm. Definitely NOT a resort. I will say the staff was nice and they refunded the resort and parking fee for the lack of hot water, but it was highly inconvenient.

I'm not sure if this property is in transition for upgrades but it was not a quality or a comfortable stay, which was a shame since my other Sheraton stays were good. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. O k let's get some super sleep

The room was a little outdated. The hotel was like no mans land. Nothing was open past 5pm. It seemed as if this place was a retirement home. Nothing for kids to do.

To many hidden costs ( resort fees/tzxes/self parking) that are very high… hotel is average at best , almost no staff, junior kids at front desk, annoying, dinner there is one option pool restaurant whitch is very average, and ridiculously expensive… they add 18% before tallying bill, couldn’t even make me a martini and they wanted to charge $18 - hello it’s warm, awful, not good value for your money..

Close to much Orlando has to offer. It is outdated and undergoing renovations, so, if a 4-5 star hotel expectation at a 3 star price, not for you. Hotel is clean, pool area very nice. They have shuttle options to Disney. If you do not plan on being at your hotel a lot and room mainly to sleep and shower, consider saving money and staying here.

When I first booked this hotel, I did so because my sister was staying at the same time as we were so it was a matter of convenience. Upon arriving, we got in extremely early which was no problem to the staff and no extra charge to me to check in. Room was clean, ac wasn’t working but when notified they had electricians come in immediately and replaced unit. Location is central to many places well within walking distance or quick Uber. The pool had two areas plus a jacuzzi and a small splash pool pad for children. All in all I would stay again.

More try”, because I had such fond memories there in the past. This stay, my shower curtain had mold on it (I have pictures), and this morning prior to my check out time, house keeping knocked as soft as a mouse AT 9:45AM (checkout is 11), and then before I could even get out of bed, came bursting in like the swat team. I felt so unwelcome at that point that I just threw clothes on and left… I planned to stay until checkout time, but I truly felt unwelcome at that point.

The pool was dirty and therefore not a useable amenity. Water service interruptions should be communicated to guests in advance of stay. The grounds including the water fountain were lovely.

The Good: The best part of this hotel is definitely the staff. Everyone I interacted with was friendly, helpful, and welcoming. From the front desk to housekeeping, the team genuinely seemed to care about guest satisfaction, which I appreciated. The Not So Good: Where this property falls short is in several key areas that impacted the overall experience: Dining Options: The on-site dining was disappointing, with limited food choices and inconsistent or incorrect information about restaurant operating hours. On more than one occasion, I went to dine based on the posted or advertised hours, only to find the restaurant closed or offering a very restricted menu. Room Condition: The rooms are tired and in need of renovation. Furniture and fixtures are dated, and the overall feel is more worn than what you’d expect from a Sheraton-branded property. Cleanliness: This was the most concerning part. I encountered multiple cleanliness issues in my room—hairs in the bathroom, debris on the floor, and a general sense that the room hadn't been thoroughly cleaned before my arrival. It definitely detracted from what should have been a more relaxing stay. Final Thoughts: While the staff were great and the location is convenient for visiting Disney and other Orlando attractions, the hotel really needs improvement in terms of cleanliness, room updates, and dining service.

Great experience and quality. Fishing room had issues in the air conditioning and it leaked all around the room. But they changed the room right away and took good care of us!

It’s not a terrible place but it definitely could be updated a little. I had a higher expectation of a Sheraton. Our room A/C was very old and leaking water out. It made our room damp. There were sugar ants on the vanity. The pool was nice. The lobby was nice. They gave us 10$ a day for their store which was pretty cool and a 14$ appetizer coupon for their pool bar. I’m not sure if I would stay there again but it wasn’t the worst but could be better for sure.

There were things that needed repair, which it looks like they are working on floor by floor. Kitchen closed earlier than posted. All amenities were not available. Game room closed, we had to ask for an attendant for the pool. The receipts say hratuity not included in capital letters when they do in fact add in 18% auto gratuities. I guess for the price we paid, what can you expect?

For the price the room was immaculate clean. Nothing fancy. Staff was good. Only real issue was the pool. Very dirty. Hair floating around greasy.... just gross. We stayed 4 days never saw an attended cleaning the pools.

The room didn’t smell so well, it smelled like cigarrette. The food and drinks at the hotel is too expensive. You can only use the complementary $10 and $14 for the bar and coffee before the day you check out.

You need to have the outside bar open more ! It was only open 1 day while I was there but other then that great stay!

I booked a pool view but all I saw was trees. Then the ceiling started falling while it was raining. They moved me to another room the second day to accommodate and gave me a credit. Staff was friendly and nice. The hotel is located in a great area but the rooms and hotel itself could use some updates.

The stay was great for the price. The street noise and the AC noise was a bit more than at other places we have been, but wasn't a huge issue. It was odd that the vanity was right inside the door so it was not convenient to get up and want to start getting ready before others sleeping. The staff was super nice and it was comfortable and clean so we would stay there again.

Hotel states that they have a restaurant, but basically they have an active bar with a few choices of food. The restaurant is not open but only for breakfast. They do have a small snack area and a Starbucks, which is a nice benefit and the fruit from the bar is good. The staff is friendly and helpful. I have to be checked in to room 1313 we got up to our room our refrigerator did not work, so they bring us a different one. The telephone and the light did not work so they repaired that and then the room had not been cleaned. Well the chair at the desk was very sticky so we requested a different chair and they brought us one. I think maybe they need better maids because the room still had dust in areas where it shouldn’t have been. But they have a wonderful pool and the helpful and friendly staff to try to make everything right for us. Parking is $25 a night. We didn’t have a car but I feel that is a little too expensive. They also charge a resort fee to your bill, but then I give you $10 a day. Reward to use at the bar for food or drink and a coupon for one free appetizer. The shrimp is an amazing appetizer. Try it if you go.

The staff were very rude. I placed a privacy notice on my due, due to not needing cleaning because I was only staying for two night. When I returned they left a note that they came in my room. They didn’t clean but I noticed both my iPhone chargers were missing.

The room itself was okay, but one night there was so much noise, i thought someone was going to climb over to my room's balcony. There are mini fridges in the rooms, and one microwave at the resort if you want to reheat anything. It was absolutely disgusting. Additionally, with a daily "resort" fee, I'd expect a coffee/tea station in the lobby and there wasn't. Nice location though.

During my stay, I encountered consistently rude service from the bar staff, which made it difficult to relax or enjoy any of the shared spaces. I charged meals and drinks to my room and when I asked for an itemized receipt, I was told I had to wait until the next morning. Despite that, they locked me out of my room and forced me to pay the full or half amount without any breakdown of charges. I did sign the receipts the night before, but if don’t remember those totals and they also thought someone I was speaking with was with me and I was worried they added his charges to my bill. The lack of transparency, unprofessional service, and misleading advertising left me extremely disappointed. I ended my stay early and was denied any kind of partial refund. I would not recommend this hotel, and I hope Expedia reviews how it is being listed on the platform.

Definetly not the best experience, rooms are extremelly small, water tank did not work properly, ac did not cool enough. I said it's an OK hotel, not the 4 starts they promote.

I recommend this hotel to any one that is interested in being between disney resorts and public transportation and access to everything like restaurants, gas station and stores

Dirty , nothing was working ( elevators , vending machines , froyo station) marketplace closed early and had irregular hours making it difficult to grab drinks for the room and worse with the vending machines broken . The carpet has some brown liquid stain

We liked that we could relax and unwind at the pool after a day at the Parks. Olive Garden was close by so we could walk there and there were a few gift shops that we were able to walk to as well.

We booked a nice view but they gave us a dumpster view.

The room was not clean when we checked in. We found a bug in one of the beds, the bathroom door handle came off and the bathroom was gross. After i complained, they came a clean the whole room but we had to wait like an hour and we were so tired and wanted to use the restroom which we couldn't because it was dirty.

We love staying here. It felt very kid friendly. The room was clean. The property was nice and clean. The rooms were a little dated, but they are still very well kept and comfortable.

We stayed at the Sheraton Lake Buena Vista for a school graduation. Overall the resort was ok. It’s not like the pictures and not what you’d expect for staying at a Sheraton. It’s an older hotel and service was slow from check in to valet. The daily resort fees were excessive $25 plus valet was an additional $31 otherwise you pay $10/day to park your car. If you decide to leave the hotel, you pay the $10 each time you enter the parking area. Other than that; the rooms were nice, beds comfy. We had a family suite and it slept our family comfortably.

she upgraded me in a bigger room in next building .. no AC in elevators when its 95 .. the room i got after walking to another building at 4 th floor was big had bunk beds for kids but was good to manage the stay .. only thing i liked abou hotel was pool and bar at the poolside .. nothing else

Everything was a 10/10. Such a spectacular experience

My family and i booked a trip to Orlando for Universal studios and Disneyworld and were looking for locations close in proximity. This hotel checked all the boxes and even though i was a little hesitant after reading reviews we went ahead and booked. Check in was easy and fast and the associates were very friendly providing local dining options and the shuttle schedule. Now the room is a bit dated i will agree on the reviews with that but it was clean and the beds were actually comfortable. Its not the quietest location as there is a main road right outside the windows if you book city view. A plus though for city view is you can see the fireworks from Disneyworld on your patio. Parking is 25 a night which is another thing that makes me cringe but it is what it is. The lot and area felt safe so that was a plus with parking. Breakfast buffet is 25 a person. It was included in my reservation which i didnt realize and was a great suprise. They have eggs, potatoes, sausage, bacon, assorted pastries and and a waffle iron. You can also have an omelet made or fried eggs. Everything was delicious and service was excelent. We enjoyed the pools and poolside bar just keep in mind the slide closes at dusk. Overall our stay was excellent and we would definitely book again.

although the staff was very nice, the condition of the rooms were not that great. These rooms seem old and outdated, and I had to have a room transfer because of the smell.

Only 20 mins from airport and universal by Uber. Everything worked out perfect. Pool was warm and clean. Food at the bar grill was Delicious and well priced

Horrible experience there was a bedbug, and I had to change the room. Next, the front office was not in detail of all the expenses of the hotel and the resort fees their breakfast was OK. Very outdated andvery old. If you like that kind of hotels where the TV was glitching. This might be for you, but this was not me at all.

The rooms need major update. The hotel is cashless, only accepts card, I feel like that’s was a inconvenience. There is a 20% or 22% gratuity added to all tabs at the bar/dining area. There was a $24 daily resort fee. Pool was good, Carlos and Daniel at the bar was super cool and relatable. It was an all right stay over all.

It was very nice well spent with my family can’t remember the guys name at the pool bar but they were all very nice attention was great
