Lady that cleaned up handled breakfast was nice and helpful. Check in staff was nice and informative. pool was cold but was clean. Had to remove robotic cleaner for staff so we knew they attempted or were cleaning the pool. Found a dirty sock and used pick flosser in our room as well as dirty floors. Looked like the bare minimum was done to clean our room. Would not recommend due to cleanliness of room alone.

I didnt like the same breakfast options every day but the food was good.

Was very clean , i dont like veggies in my omelet so had to find something else . Pancake machine only worked if you pushed on the bag .

We truly enjoyed our stay at the hotel. Everything was very clean, the breakfast was wonderful, and the staff was extremely kind and welcoming. The hotel truly deserves every compliment. We would be very happy to come back again.

This is a nice hotel close to almost any business or restaurant a person would need. Breakfast has a pretty good variety; it just wasn't very hot. Staff were all friendly and helpful. The floor wasn't very clean around the edges of the room and the beds, but they will address it.

I indisputably checked into room 202 and when i went it had not been cleaned up there were towels everywhere and the bed wasn't made. I got a new room 300 and it was clean but a dirty towel was left in itvas well.my room wasn't cleaned at all during my 2 night stay.

This is a nice hotel close to almost any business or restaurant a person would need. Breakfast has a pretty good variety; it just wasn't very hot. Staff were all friendly and helpful. The floor wasn't very clean around the edges of the room and the beds, but they will address it.

Great service and 24/7 coffee

We checked in later in the evening, so it wasn’t until the morning that I realized how dirty the room was. The shower wasn’t clean. We found several hairs in the bed that did not belong to us. It makes me worried that the sheets weren’t even changed before our arrival. The floor had not been vacuumed. At breakfast, a dad with three small children sat next to us. His son spilled a cup of juice and the dad got paper towels and cleaned up what he could. He then left and came back with a mop to clean the floor. I don't understand why a staff member did not come to do that and it was left to this man, with his small children and who had played to stay there. It was a really disappointing stay, and I will not plan to stay here again. I would like a refund, as I don’t believe it was worth what I payed.

Our experience overall was great, however I was very disappointed in the indoor pool. The picture, in the website, if the pool is not what the pool at the hotel looked like at all. There was also a hot tub, in the picture, in the website. There was not a hot tub at this location. The pool water was freezing and green.

They charged me $300 for the security deposit rather than the standard $75. Then didn’t release the hold on the deposit so I had to call, the gentleman apologized & said it was a mistake on their part & released the hold. Well then I was refunded $75. Not the $300 I paid. I called to ask & the manager said oh no we don’t do that. I said well apparently you do bc that’s what happened. She had 0 clue what she was talking about, & didn’t even attempt to look into it or help me, kept interrupting & speaking over me. Then another woman gets on the phone & tells me it’s because of my dog. Well the property is not pet friendly, my dog is a registered & verified service dog and they were aware of her when I checked in, even showed documentation which I am not obligated to do. Then she tried to tell me that my dog is not a service dog, then hung up on me, as did the manager. The unprofessionalism and overall incompetence is appalling, to say the least. Especially for what is supposed to be a renowned & prestigious hotel. Not only all of this horrendous behavior, but also in the room I stayed in it looked like someone pooped in the shower & stomped it down the drain. When I say I almost vomited, it was REPULSIVE. I went & bought bleach and poured a gallon of it down the drain. I couldn’t eat the rest of the night I was so sickened. This is what $600 for 2 nights will get you here folks. 0/10 do not recommend to anyone ever. Unless maybe they get new management.

Modern and clean.

Perfect hotel for our overnight stay. We were in town for a concert in Peoria and we found this hotel for a great price only 20 minutes away. The bed was super comfy and the air worked great. The bathroom had a great selection of dove products to be used. The breakfast was great. I had an egg and cheese omelet and a piece of sausage and my husband had biscuits and gravy. We will definitely stay there again if we ever go back that way.

The room was clean and updated including bathroom area. The provided toiletries were Dove including body lotion and liquid hand soap which is nice so you don’t have to wash your hands with one of the little bars of soap and get the counter all slimy. The biggest issue was the channel selection on the television. There were minimal channels and the TVs, two of them which were nice size, wouldn’t hook up to WiFi to cast from your phone. The WiFi was weak and jammed up as well.

We were in Pekin for a funeral and the Holiday Inn Express was easy to get to and a very comfortable place to stay. The renovation they have done is great as is the breakfast, so many selections for food and all great.

No more complimentary water? Housekeeping did not empty the waste baskets one day. Carpet was icky. Very worn and not too clean.

Dirtiest hotel i ever stayed at. Hotel was a dump for the money i spent. Had to change rooms, we were locked out of our room. People complaining in the lobby. We checked out and drove all the way home. Ruined my trip with my son.

Staff has been great. Smooth check in. Room was updated, modern, quiet and clean. Met a very nice housekeeper in the elevator who went out of her way to accommodate me by getting me napkins and utensils from the kitchen after hours when the take out I ordered hadn't given me anything to eat my dinner with. Also got a free homemade chocolate chip cookie at check in... can't go wrong with that lol

Ice machine was broken in 3rd floor, and the extra blanket, sheets, and pillows for the let out sofa that is usually in a hotel room weren't there. The mounting of the first TV was a bit odd in relation to the wall it was on. However, overall, the hotel served its purpose and the staff was very accommodating!

Everything was wonderful. I felt the mopping of the lobby and breakfast hall could have waiting until after check-out when the floor traffic would be less. I do not like slippery floors. Breakfast was the best!! Rooms were nice. Pool was great!

Entire hotel was under construction and was very dirty. Old materials were left laying around as long as trash.

My room is newly remodeled and has a wonderful walk in shower, which is very important to me, a senior citizen! The facility is being fully remodeled and therefore workers and dust, but it will be done soon.

I am a long time customer of this property, having come here approximately once per year for about a dozen years or so. However, at this most recent visit, the property was being refurbished, with the hotel lobby unusable and many other amenities unavailable (exercise room, pool). There was extensive dirt and dust, with many rooms under construction and many workers present even on a weekend. All of this might have been OK, but the problem is that I paid what appeared to be full price (I paid well over $200 with tax included for one night). I feel taken advantage of, as I thought I was simply paying for a room in a hotel operating under normal circumstances, but clearly this was a long planned event at the hotel and the hotel still had an unacceptably high price set at Expedia during the days that they knew there would be refurbishment activity. Also unacceptable was that I attempted to speak to the manager while I was there (the manager did not speak with me), I also called the hotel when I returned home the next day (was told the manager would call me back), and finally the next day I called Expedia who called the hotel as well and said the manager would call me. I still have not spoken to a manager. The front desk also said they did not know how to give me a discount since I booked through Travelocity/Expedia. I am surprised as a long time customer to have been treated this way and plan to avoid Holiday Inn Express in Pekin in the future.

my housekeeper Jennifer was wonderful! She went over and beyond what was expected!!! The front desk stafff very friendly! Dislikes pool was not heated, to much contsruction going on all over place, had to deal with sewer smell for 2 days do to construction crew not capping off swewer line!

We stary here all the time whenwe are in Pekin. It is our home away from home. You will not go wrong with this greatly run hotel. The breakfast is great and the coffee is over the top just right.

We have used this propterty many times when we go to Pekin to visit family. Froant desk service is always very good and helpful. Breakfast lady is superb. Coffee is really good. Food selection for breakfast is 5star. We will use this property again.

Visited for Ledgestone Disc golf tournament. Staff was so efficient and so friendly. They even had homemade cookies at the front desk. Would definitely stay here again.

Everything seemed to be up to date. The bed was a bit hard but was tolerable, swimming pool was a bit cool and could have stood to be a bit warmer for the winter. i would most likely stay here again.

Great hotel

It was a decent 1-night stay. The beds and were comfy. We had a small fridge and a microwave in our double queen bed room. It was great, could have stayed longer!

We like everything about this hotel. Staff are top notch. Friendliness is superb. They treat you like a friend not just a hotel room client. We call this hotel in Pekin our home away from home. Breakfast buffet is just plain the best over most hotels.

The rooms were very clean and well stocked. My only complaint on the room would be that there were a couple of stains on the chair and ottoman. The breakfast area was as clean and well stocked as any I've seen. The lady taking care of this area (Sharon?) was in perpetual motion. Everything was very clean, continually stocked and in immaculate condition. She made an impact on our family and we heard others commenting on her top-level service. A true asset to this company! We will certainly stay here again and will highly recommend to others. Thank you for a fabulous holiday experience!

We always stay there when we come up to visit our Grandma. I will say I would appreciate better communication when it comes to the cleaning. Other times they had a sign up sheet. This time there wasn’t one and no one told us anything so I assumed it would be cleaned daily- it wasn’t we had to tell the front desk. But that’s just a simple miscommunication and we always enjoy our stay!

The property was clean. I waited for 20 minutes for the front desk clerk to arrive to check me in. The thermostat in the room would not stay set at 70 degrees. Kept waking up hot then cold. Needless to say Never a good nights sleep.

It was a disaster. We got our reservation canceled by the motel because of a ‘computer pr’ and they overbooked. We at the last minute had to find another hotel. I better not get charged.

Chose to pay @ hotel but they processed a card that was on file and not the one I wanted to pay with. Noise disturbance both nights. I will definitely request the 3rd floor next time. Room was in great condition. The desk chair needed to be updated it was showing a lot of wear. The bed was to firm for us so our lower backs bothered us. Continental breakfast was very good. No house keeping service had to go to front desk for clean towels. Staff was friendly. We were supposed to get a refund of $30 for 1 night of disturbance. I haven’t received it as of yet. I would consider staying again unless I found a better accommodation.
