Sleep Inn & Suites Washington near Peoria

I usually stay at this property several times a year when I am coming to visit family. This really is the first time things seems to be out of the ordinary, so hopefully when I return things will have improved. The elevators were not working, so I had to take luggage up 3 floors. Marijuana smell was pretty prevalent in the stairwell the entire time I stayed. My coffee maker in the room was not working properly. The desk chair did not adjust and remained in the lowest position - had to use pillows to sit on to sit in the chair.

All staff were polite and kind. I felt bad for them because their elevator was out of order and their phone system weren’t operating. Despite this the staff was great.

Doors don't close, place is moldy and disgusting.

Booking room was a breeze. Easy to get to. Staff was very friendly. Bottom floor was clean, breakfast area was maintained well, well stocked, nice variety of food available for breakfast. Checkout was very simple, and we were Thanked for staying with them, and invited back Upon entering the room, it was very hot. Easy fix by turning on the AC. The beds were made up nice, the bedding was clean, the bathroom was clean, but the floors had not been vacuumed. They were not filthy by any means, but they could have been vacuumed.

Upon check in I was assigned a room in which the bathroom door wouldn't close. I called the front desk and was moved to a room in which the shower rod had been installed incorrectly and the shower curtain wouldn't stay closed on either end. A bulb in the bedside table lamp was burned out. The small refrigerator under the counter would loudly bang into its cabinet side when it came on to cycle. I had no maid service on the second day of my stay which was Monday, Memorial day. The small pillows on the bed were old and worn out. No "Do not Disturb" door hangers. All in all, a very poor experience with this hotel.

The staff was friendly. The breakfast selection was typical, but they weren't monitoring the food to ensure everything stayed stocked, so things like milk, fruit, and other options were gone well before the end of the breakfast period.

While the property shows some wear and tear, everything worked (A/C, toilet, hot water), everything was clean and I cannot emphasize how terrific the staff was. Everyone smiled, wished us a good day, etc...They really made our stay enjoyable.

Everything was great. Especially the staff! We couldn’t make our originally planned stay due to being hit by a tornado. They completely understood and rearranged my stay and let me do an early check in the next day, and a late check out the following day with no issues at all.

Clean place. Usual motel. Breakfast had the basic hot and cold stuff, waffles, eggs, sausage, cereal. Bed was not very comfortable.

We stayed on the 3rd floor. The room was nice. We had to go to the second floor for vending because the first floor ones were broken. The elevator and entire second floor reeked of weed. It was pretty gross. The hot tub was a bit slimy and had algae in it. I didn’t go into the pool, but it looked ok.

I really have to think about that ....? ? The room was nasty !!!!!! BLACK MOLD in the ice bucket. The fridge freezer section was iced over. There were food splatters on the wall above the garage can. The room phone had a short in it. The drip pan in the fridge was dirty AND hair was on it. There were no bathroom condiments. Kids in the hallway wrestling and play fighting. The soi called free breakfast was gone in 20 minutes (they said breakfast was from 6-10am) and the front desk girls said she was the only one there to run the front desk so she didn't have time to refill the breakfast. There was paint chipping off the walls at the baseboard level in the room. I complained twice to the front desk and everyone said I had to talk to someone else (the run around). When I checked out the front desk said they would give me 20% off my room. NO ! THERES BLACK MOLD IN THE ICE BUCKET SO THE REST OF THE ROOM IDNT CLEAN EITHER, WHICH IT WASN'T ! I called corporate and they took the complaint. They said call back after I checked out for further resolution. The new rep said I had to credit an account to only get rewards points to use at another facility. (Why would I want another room when this one looks like it did). They then instruct me to call Booking.com. I called the company and they came back with a worse offer than the hotel did. I'm from out of town and was there for 1 night. It would have been too much to try to rent a different room at a different hotel. WORST WAY TO TREAT YOUR PAYING CUSTOMERS ! I couldn't have been more disappointed with the whole stay and complaint process. It was a waste of time on my behalf. And most definitely, a waste of my money. There were several other guests who said they barely got any rest due to the kids making all the noise.

Place was packed. Pool looked but much too small for that many guests. In the room, the heater fan was incredibly loud to the point you could not sleep over it. Also had a foul burning smell. So slept with no heat all night. Pillows were small and not very supportive. Did not know how to turn shower on. Had to turn and pull out faucet after looking it up. Very old fashioned and should have at least been mentioned since not.obvious. Breakfast though was great and a major highlight

The beds was too soft bad for my back and hips but all in all I would recommend this motel and I will be back when I come to Washington IL again

Overall everything was nice and good. Would probably stay there again. The only issues we had was that there was not enough parking with a full hotel and some trucks taking numerous spots. The other issue was that the water was lukewarm.

One guy worker. My child throw up in the public downstairs bathroom, I told him about it not wanting to leaving a mess for someone to walk into and he said oh that’s housekeepings job.

Extremely bad experience at this hotel. Staff and other guests were racist and ruined what was supposed to be a great holiday. Our 7 year old should never have to experience discrimination like that. Highly disappointed with this hotel and we will make sure everyone knows how we were treated.

Clean place, staff was very friendly. Pool was good. Towels were out at the pool, my husband went down to the desk and told the girl they were out. She filled them up very quick and friendly about it. Definitely be back when we travel thru.

One of the rooms wasn't cleaned good from the last people, shower head didn't spray correctly, front desk guy on Sunday was rude. Breakfast bar was not kept stocked.

I would've given a 5 star however the bathroom door in our room wouldn't close all the way and the heater/AC ran the whole time and wouldn't shut off it was loud and annoying. Other then that the staff are awesome and place is clean.

Remind you my fiance checked in under his name even though it was my card used to pay …. Long story short due to the clerk saying the wrong email I just found out my fiancé has been cheating and lying to me that he was working and over there with a Ki! I got her whole email ! Thank you night clerk you saved me from walking down the aisle with this jerk !

The staff was nice, the facility was not. Non-smoking room smelled like smoke, stains on the sheets, incredibly squeaky bed, mold in the shower. Was fine for one night for the price, but this is definitely lived up to 2-star rating.

Always my go to when we come back to visit friends in Washington. Only complaint I have is the bathroom. It seems the maintenance and cleanliness of the bathrooms is def declining. Replace the nasty shower heads that barely work. Properly fix items!! All in all always a great stay. Oddly both morning this trip, neither morning there was water at breakfast. Had my own so not a deal breaker but still.

I cannot say anything bad about this if you’re looking for something bad about this place is something wrong and broken with you. This is a very budget friendly small town field clean place to stay. Walking in the hallway smelled clean and fresh. It’s very appealing to the eyes. The staff was very delightful for a small town hotel. There’s nothing shady going on here. It’s very family friendly. The breakfast was decent biscuits. Sausage gravy, eggs, sausage a variety of toast, bagels fresh fruit they might’ve been cereal. I don’t eat cereal. I didn’t pay attention to that and their waffles. Juice coffee, not the best coffee in the world, but for Coffee offered for a hotel. It’s OK. It’s in a good central location. Their restaurants up the street. Good stuff Walmart not too far all deep not too far. It’s well Cappas. Well maintain. I hope they keep it this way.

Everything was very clean! Not many hotels with a working and clean hot tub anymore so that was a nice addition. Breakfast was great, variety of foods to choose from. Overall a great experience for our weekend getaway!

This property was easy to get to off of Hwy 24. It was also very clean with a courteous staff and delicious options for breakfast.

They had a little area in the lobby where you can help yourself to hot chocolate and coffee, which was nice. The hotel itself, and our room specifically was gross. The bathroom reeked of urine and the floors were filthy and sticky. The room smelled stale, the small refrigerator in the room was dirty, and the table in the room had handprints and something sticky on it. I paid $130.00 for a one night stay in a room with 2 queen beds and was sorely disappointed. Wouldn’t even walk around our room without shoes on due to how filthy the bathroom floor was. Gross.

Excellent and friendly staff. Ok breakfast. Room was spacious, quiet, and comfortable, but it looked like something had been removed from the wall and not replaced - just holes in the wall there. Appreciate the microwave and fridge. There’s a restaurant next door but closed? There’s nothing really within walking distance.

Room was humid.

The room was clean. There was a skunk smell coming through the vents all night and in the morning the hallway smelled like skunk. I was told it was a marijuana smell. It was so strong. I was glad I was leaving. Unfortunate!

Great property if you are visiting the peoria metro for business and want to get out of the city and into the suburbs.easy commute back into peoria.

That was the only disappointment. Note for safety a rubber mat should be installed inside of the pool restroom. Upon entering with wet get had I not grabbed the door handle it would have been a fall. The breakfast food bar was delicious, hot , plentiful I was amazed. Overall the facility is a definitely a re- book

We have stayed at this property for years. It is always clean and friendly. It is old and showing some wear but in good condition and clean. The staff was always available when needed.

There was a multitude of issues in my room The heater did not work There was no TV on the bedroom side and the water pressure was horrible.

Or family had 3 room and we got the a day before the others. and they did good at getting us all on the same floor but kept us spread out a little bit which is the one thing me and my husband asked for. What’s not to like? This hotel has a newer vibe and friendly staff. There is a pool, hot tub, and fitness room. Free breakfast was also good for us.

Really enjoyed our stay here while in town for our son’s wedding!

Our room was not fully clean. There were candy wrappers under the bed, food under the desk. The breakfast bar was empty by 8 am. I had to find someone to let them know. There is one person working in the am to staff the desk and microwave food for the breakfast. The hot tub was not hot it was warm. Just an average stay nothing exciting or exceptional.

We have stayed numerous times when we visit family. This time had lids and people running and stomping on floor. Also room was above front entry and could constantly hear the sliding door open and closing

Unfortunately, not a good review. Upon check in, there was a sign that pool and hot tub were out of order. After driving 14 hours, the hot tub was the draw for the booking. My husband has had 6 spine surgeries and is disabled. The hot tub was the main reason for the booking. 2 days later, they ran out of coffee, first regular and then both decaf and regular. Most of the time there was no one behind the front desk. They stayed behind the wall in the office I guess. The breakfast area was not kept up with cleanliness and replenishment. I feel that they were not prepared for the amount of people staying there as it appeared that only one person was working doing it all, the breakfast and the front desk. They did not have any bottled water in the cooler behind the desk to purchase, those were not restocked either. Instead of the hotel making the money off the water sales, we had to pay more in a vending machine. I really feel as if nobody wanted to do their job and I get it, working for the Holiday sucks. We will not stay here again when visiting family.

Wife has had a rough few months and the two days before we stayed had been especially brutal. We booked the hot tub suite because we thought she would be able to use it, unfortunately she couldn’t get in so she definitely enjoyed the walk in shower. And she hadn’t slept more than a couple hours at a time but she managed to sleep mostly through the night and well into the morning. Check out staff and housekeeping allowing us to stay a bit longer was especially helpful. This will definitely be our home away from home again! Thank you.

The first room we were given was not totally cleaned. I went to the front desk and they assigned us another room that was clean.

The second room had damage to the wall in the bathroom, damage to the wall behind the entry door and a broken curtain. They did not clean out the refrigerator from previous guest, a to-go box and a Modelo were left in it. The beds were uncomfortable and the pillows were the size of throw pillows not regular size pillows. The second morning of our stay housekeeping asked us to put our dirty towels and trash outside of the door. Then proceeded to give us new trash bags and told us to put them in the trash cans. I didn't pay to stay in a hotel to do their job for them. Breakfast was a joke. During the week they stop serving at 9am, that's fine however the first morning we were there we went down at 8:15, there were only 3 very cold fried eggs, 5 pieces of sausage, no biscuits. We had to search for an employee just to get them to restock the waffle mix. The dining area was a mess. We had to clean the table before we could eat. The next two days weren't much better, no variety, same items everyday. The next time we visit family in Washington, IL we will NOT be staying here.

We came for the hot tub and it was closed down so the wonderful lady upgraded us to a jacuzzi suite. It was so nice and relaxing. Just what we needed after my husband did a roof for the last week. The bed was so comfortable it was like sleeping on a cloud. So we decided to stay an extra day!!

Got what we paid for

I stayed here with my two kids & there was a loud party out on the patio partying it up until around 2am. My daughter & I could not fall asleep, it was so loud. I called down to the lobby & then later walked down to the lobby to ask if they could be asked to quiet down or leave. It was ridiculous.
